The best restaurants serving Japanese food in Glasgow and Surrounding

Encantadora cena temprana con mi marido en esushi. La comida era increíble, fresca, sabrosa y tuvimos el mejor ramen. El camarero era un hombre encantador, muy atento y acogedor. Los precios son fabulosos! £ 55 para tres entrantes, dos principales y una botella de vino. Gran valor. El restaurante también es hermoso, con un montón de pequeñas áreas cerradas para la privacidad. ¡Mi nuevo spot japonés favorito!

Dropped on for a quick dinner after a long road trip. Had Katsu which was excellent with well cooked, moist chicken and soft fluffy rice. Not much atmosphere, but it was a quiet evening and it's a small place. Guy next to me was having a large bowl of Miso soup which looked and smelled fantastic. Almost made me regret my choice. Well worth a visit if you're in Glasgow.

Managed to go back twice for the food!

Recogí un poco de sushi de la sucursal Great Western Road de Akiko. Cuando llegué a casa me di cuenta de que estaba lejos de ser fresco. El aguacate se había vuelto negro y viscoso. La respuesta de los propietarios fue que lo había recogido de su nevera y no pedí que estuviera recién hecho. Así que... Supongo que fue mi culpa que esperaba sushi fresco de un punto de venta de sushi! Fui al día siguiente a pedir las 6 libras. 90 Pagué por algo que se fue directo a mi papelera. Recibí la misma historia... no me devolvieron el dinero y no podían garantizar que los productos en la nevera fueran frescos. ¿Por qué estaba a la venta? Informes a las Normas Comerciales y Glasgow Environmental Health.

Enjoyed the food, However, when calling back to discuss being overcharged. I was told The automatically add a service charge , I simply questioned if this was normal for Two people. I then got a long story about someone washing the dishes people preparing my food, making me drinks. (To me, this is just running a restaurant ) The person on the phone was then trying to guilt trip me asking if I wanted my money back I can come in and they can take it out of the tip jar. Kept asking me questions on the phone to simply talk over me . When asking for person’s name, she hung up on me .

Absolutamente fantástico ramen! Increíbles gyozas y el servicio fue tan rápido! El personal encantador y servicial tomó una Coca-Cola que se derramó directamente de nuestra factura. La anfitriona era encantadora y bromeó cuando nos fuimos. Sin duda un ambiente acogedor, amable y acogedor. Nuestro único problema era salir por la puerta que estábamos tan llenos! Puede ver esto convirtiéndose en un lugar de citas regular : )

No puedo evitar sentir que Wagamama ha perdido su toque. El menú es extenso, pero sin sabor. Mi compañero pidió el pollo al curry katsu que es honestamente la peor salsa de curry katsu que he probado; totalmente abrumador con anís y casi no comestible. Todos los lados eran deficientes, carentes de sabor. Los precios parecen elevados para lo que son, más aún cuando se pierde la marca.

Been to wagamama a few times so know what to expect! There are a few new dishes on the menu, so we had chicken yakitori skewers and Korean barbecue beef buns as a starter, then we both had chicken gochujang rice bowl. All dishes were delicious. The rice bowl is quite spicy but still very tasty. Our waitress was really lovely. Service was good. Not the cheapest place to eat but worth it. Definitely try these dishes again!

Booked a table for office Xmas night out, place was messy, table next to us was full of empty drinks glass which continued to be placed there, dangerous if anyone had bumped into. Lack of staff so waited ages for a drink, ended up going to bar downstairs to buy one while we waited on our order. Drinks mediocre, ice tasted off. Not the staffs fault there wasn't more of them, over priced and lacking in atmosphere. Went elsewhere.

Ordered 3 entrees & 1 main to share here. Ordered glasses of water, only 1 arrived. No side plates for sharing, was told I didn’t ask for the plates. Not sure how I was meant to eat what I ordered. Food was not very hot & quite disappointing. I have eaten in Wagamama mainly times before but not this one

Been going to this place every so often since it first opened way back when. Found out about the sushi school via a gift website. Had a little trouble calling (voicemail always full) and the emails took a few goes and some to-ing and fro-ing, but eventually got booked. The class is a proper laugh. You make LOADS of sushi, the menu was altered slightly as we had some vegans in the group, but those who also defo wanted to make meat sushi were still able to. Staff were informative and lovely,

Visited on a Monday night so not too busy but was busy with take out. The staff were very knowledgeable about the food and explained what everything was as this was our first experience in a Japanese restaurant. Kiertan (boss) kept us right and looked after us well. We all had something different and it was all very fresh, tasty and authentic. The size of the prawns were phenomenal! Reasonably priced as well so will definitely recommend and be back. Loved the kimchi …try that if you go!
