Temaki in Glasgow City

sashimi wasn't fresh and had a weird texture like it had been sitting out all day was even cold. the miso soup is a joke aswell must be 2 spoonfuls worth.

Food was amazing. My only critic is do not put the cold cans of juice in the same bag as hot food as all the starters were cold. Once heated up it was fine

Can't say anything about the food quality, but the order itself was incomplete.

Ordered a vegetarian main (sweet potato katsu) and bit into a tail of a prawn halfway through the meal. Really upsetting for a vegetarian!

Ordered take-away at 6pm, quoted 1 hour delivery time. Food didn't arrive until after 10pm and was stone cold. Told there was only 1 delivery driver. I suggest the restaurant stop taking orders when the actual delivery time is 4X the quoted delivery time. We were refunded and I'm sure the food would have been nice when fresh, but it did spoil our night.

Food took over three and a half hours to arrive and was (unsurprisingly) cold. Please don’t take orders that you are unable to fulfil. Be honest about delivery times so that your customers can make alternative arrangements.

Amazing food, great service, and great prices for the standards that they provide. I loved the Tokyo Skyline 🏙, lychee liqueur is a new favourite for me 🙏 We will return next time we are in Glasgow 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏

Sushi unreal as normal - best place to go

It was late but it was after the aftermath of Storm Eowyn, so it's understandable. The restaurant took the care to phone us to inform me it would be late. The food was still delicious.

The chicken katsu curry was delicious, and they accommodated my request of not having any vegetables with the meal. It’s a good portion for 12.95!

honestly one of the best meals I've ever had , had to wait a little bit longer but it was so worth the wait, they even contacted me to let me know they were running a bit behind and kindly gave us two saporo to compensate which was really kind, can't wait to order again!

Waited two hours for delivery and the food arrived absolutely frozen. We got the teriyaki beef and it was completely flavourless, phoned to ask because it felt like they had forgotten the sauce and we were told that it was cooked in the sauce, but it wasn’t the first time someone had asked due to how plain it tasted… which was strange, because if this is a frequent complaint would it not make more sense to fix the dish? The katsu curry and katsu prawns were both lovely despite the temperature.

Food took way too long to arrive (20-30 minutes). It seemed like the kitchen prioritised takeaway orders. plus to change the salad from the bento into avocado costs £3!!! The salmon teriyaki bowl was quite disappointing in my opinion, I had expected something more than just rice and salmon with a sprinkle of vegetable for a £12 bowl. Would not recommend that. However, good thing was the king prawn tempura, it’s really big and that was probably the best part. (Although wouldn’t recommend it with the Ramen as all the batter got soggy and mixed into the miso soup.) The waiter was helpful although did not seem quite friendly. Overall, nothing special about the place, food was mediocre and wouldn’t come back here again. There are better Japanese places in Glasgow city centre with better food quantity and quality like Nuku Nuku or Maki and Ramen.

The food is average, staff were helpful. A bit cold. The wait time is diabolical for a monday night.

I love Temaki! I used to go everyday when I worked near by but this is the first time I've ordered from them in 10 months.

The lunch deal is good value. Chicken Katsu curry was very good. They should really serve this with a spoon rather than chopstix though (it would be more practical and authentic). Gyoza were nice but pre coated in a very sweet sauce that didn't really go match. Sushi was very good.

Don't order through Uber. My food was everywhere as it was turned sideways when delivering. The food was everywhere and Uber are dreadful

I had the King Prawn Tempura Ramen with Chilli Broth. Absolutely delicious. Cool little place, ideal for an informal meal. Great value.

Food was totally okay, not something that would knock your socks off, but great for a quick meal. Service was quick and friendly!

I was here for a lunch date with a friend. I understand it’s dine in and sit in. Atmosphere was alright but it was cold each time someone opened the door which was frequent as lots of people came in and out. The staff and service was great and we were offered jasmine tea which I enjoyed. And they happily refilled the pot. However I believe the portion size is nothing to write home about. I got the chicken teriyaki and had literally 3 strips of chicken with rice soaked in lots and lots of teriyaki. My friend also wasn’t asked if she wanted veggies in her beef teriyaki and her order came with mushrooms which she didn’t like. I really wanted to enjoy my meal here but ended up going elsewhere after the lunch which was not satisfying enough. The prawn tempura was really nice and I enjoyed the mochi as well.

Temaki has a nice atmosphere and great sushi. I had a spicy salmon burrito, and I love it!. I will definitely be back. The best Japanese food ever.

As usual they didnt delivered the sake, which was available the menu. Quality and cutting of fish was orrible

Went in on a Sunday around noon, not very busy, gorgeous staff with even better service. Had a salmon sushi burrito, had to wait 30 minutes due to a large order placed by another client. Despite this thanks to the lovely ambience and care from the staff the 30 minutes flashed by and we were compensated for our wait. The food was fresh and delicious and warm straight from the kitchen. Would absolutely recommend this place for a lunch with friends.

Tempura prawns 🍤 were amazing but a bit of a let down with the salmon onigiri as there were only 2 pieces of salmon in it.

the order never arrived, but you were surprisingly quick to take the money off our credit card. this is not even the first time this happens. I hope you go bust as soon as possible.

Love this place, I work from home most of the time but the times I am in the office this is where I go, the lunch deals are great, portions are perfect size and the wait isn't long. Only thing I look forward to when I need to come into the office!!

This sushi place has lost in the last years. I had to discard half of my salmon burrito as it was bad quality and hard. They don't even give you sauce or wasabi, I won't order again. Shame as it was my favourite sushi place 5 years ago

Pedí pollo teriyaki y arroz. El pollo era carne de muslo y era graso y quedaba piel. 15 libras que esperaría el pecho. La salsa Teriyaki era delgada y sosa. No para mí. Buen servicio al cliente. Es la primera vez. Viajó a Glasgow para un concierto y tenía hambre. A mi marido tampoco le impresionó y se comía cualquier cosa.

I came here for lunch last week for a quick bite. They have a lunch menu with some great deals which I will need to come back and try. For this visit I stuck with my cravings and ordered the salmon onigiri, a spicy salmon maki roll and a BBQ eel "roll" which I assumed was inside-out. The salmon onigiri was disappointing because it was mostly rice and the salmon was cooked which I just wasn't expecting. The spicy salmon maki was good, probably my favourite of what I ate. I was served a BBQ eel maki instead of a roll but didn't realise until I was half way through it so I didn't say anything. It was ok, quite basic - I don't know if the roll versus the maki would have been better, maybe it would have had some cucumber or avocado. Even though I didn't get my roll, the service was very nice and gets my full five starts because I felt welcome and comfortable. I will be going back to try the regular rolls and the sushi burrito but won't be ordering the onigiri again.

After coming out of the train station, we went to eat Japanese food in the evening. It was after nine o'clock and the business was still very good. The Chinese lady who received us was super considerate and even told us that we can use the student discount! ! ! The things and prices are very impressive. Woohoo.

The fish quality was average. The ramen wasn't anything too special either. Maybe it's just me, I feel like the rolls had too much rice for how much filling was in it. The fried rice was really good though. Food portions were nice and large. There were a few crumbs leftover on the surfaces. The staff were nice. A few tweaks would have to be made before I would want to come back though I might have been too strict about it. Thanks for the food.

Pretty small place but the food and portions are lovely and large. However, we thought the crispy fried salmon meant the salmon itself would be crispy and not the entire sushi burrito being deep fried. Very very oily due to this so would suggest to get a different one

Well, you might get good food but don't expect any service or atmosphere inside the restaurant. Went tgere to eat and not even got asked dine in or take away. Ordered lunch and been told I have to wait outside fairenough. Weather was nice and there was sitting area as well. But stuff don't bother to pass over the food on table outside. I guess might be cause they are busy that's why dont really bothered about the services.

Teriyaki chicken was served with very little sauce. Kora Kara Age was bland.

Food was very late with no update or communication until we asked for it. As a result when the food came it was cold and soggy from having condensation in travel. Not good for the price. Food here is usually delicious so v disappointed.

Great Japanese food and friendly service! Sushi was all super fresh, the beef teriyaki was tender with a great wasabi kick and the chicken katsu sushi burrito was delicious (if a little unusual!) Generous portion sizes and good value too, perfect quick stop between or before a train!

Ordered a chicken katsu lunch meal, and I found a hair in the rice, completely disgusting. I used to be a regular customer but not after today.

Bought the new larger deal, everything was perfect as usual. The mochi was outstanding and really deserved a special mention. Delivery was quick and driver was friendly.

First time in this restaurant. What this place lacks in presentation it more than makes up for in the quality of its food. Outstanding!! I lived in Asia for some time and to find a place that serves food to the local quality I experienced in Asia is a real find. This is such an unassuming, small place that I thought twice about submitting this review so as not to give away the secret but its too good! It's low key decor and authentic "Hawker" style environment add to the experience with its diner layout and attentive friendly staff. This is one of Glasgows unknown Gems. I had the Chicken Ramen with chilli broth. Brilliant!!

Wasn't expecting to be so delighted by east Asian food in Scotland! The veggie ramen was a little bit bland but the real showstopper was the katsu chips. Loooved the curry.

We ordered the vegetable ramen and the pork gyoza ramen along with salmon and avocado temaki. We called the store 9:05pm to specifically request chopsticks with our order and we were promised that he would put them in the bag. Fast forward our order arrives and no chopsticks to be found. The ramen broth was as bland as water literally tasted like it was the last of the broth in the pot watered down due to ordering 45 mins before close.. I would like to think the broth isn’t always that bland. The temaki was lovely but overall Disappointing customer service and disappointing food. Waste of £37

Delivered bang on time, and the food was excellent quality as ever. The portion sizes are wonderful and the delivery person greeted me with a smile that cheered me up!

Charged £7 for delivery. Took over 2hours to deliver and was more than 50minutes late. Food was cold when it arrived and had an odd texture, likely due to taken so long to deliver. Chicken karage recipe has changed too. Been ordering from Temaki for 4 years, will never order again.

I decided to give them another chance as time has passed since the last terrible experience. Well they’re rubbish. I can’t even sugar coat it. Complete trash. Food was bland, tiny bits of shrivelled beef in the k cup. Sushi fell apart and tasted old. Absolutely shocking now. I used to love this place I’m so utterly disappointed the glory days are over.

Delivery only… repeat customer Stuck between 4 and 5 stars. I love the sushi burrito, my favourite dish, but wish they would wrap the ends with nori like an actual burrito. The chicken karrage is really disappointing. The amount of meat for the price is very small and the sauce is just sriracha, would love to see a house sauce with more complexity. Rice and chips from here are always up to standard but also nothing groundbreaking. Wrapping/presentation is always lovely and makes it feel like a real treat to open and eat.

The food here is absolutely not worth the money in any way. The spicy roll that i ordered was not spicy at all and all the food we ate was bland. Freezer frozen package and sold at too high of a mark up. I genuinely want my money back for what I paid

Ordered at 7pm. Food has still not arrived by 9.23 despite the website saying that it has been delivered and that we should enjoy our food. The restaurant did phone to say there would be yet another delay (honestly it is essential to stop taking orders when you get overwhelmed rather than just raking in the money and not delivering on food. 0 stars all round because we're STILL sitting here hungry and with our valentine's day ruined

I have ordered from here many times. This was my first time eating inside Temaki. The food was presented nicely. It took a little bit of time to get served even just for the drinks. It is a really small place that is also very busy with takeaway orders. The seating is very crammed so if space is your thing you're not gonna get it here. This is a great place for fantastic food is a Street style environment.

This was probably m'y best asian dining experience in Glasgow . The ramen IS brilliant quality and value, my only complaint would be it could do with a couple more beansprouts. I loved the apple nippon, although its slightly more expensive than i would expect. The service was brilliant, kind and polite waiteress and fast service. I really liked the decor and even more the solo diner friendlyness of the seating arrangement, very authentic. I genuinly cant wait to Come back.

Tiny but lovely wee place. Service was very prompt, we were seated and eating delicious sushi and katsu within 10 minute of walking in the door. Food was delicious, reasonably good value too. Katsu was a nice big portion and the sushi burrito wasn't huge, but it tasted soooo fresh. Highly recommend.

Love temaki so much but unfortunately for whatever reason the delivery time was delayed a lot this time. The restaurant and driver were all really lovely through the issue though and the food was great as always
