Nothing special, a bit disappointed with the starter as its 5 bits of chicken.. For price paid it wasnt worth it

Some of the blandest Japanese food I’ve ever had. The miso soup was like water, the bowl that my teriyaki was served in was sticky all around the sides like it was unclean, the teriyaki itself was also bland the chicken tasted like it was microwaved and came with one singular piece of broccoli… so stingy for the price. The staff were unwelcoming and showed a general lack of care I had to ask them for utensils and napkins because they didn’t give me any of these when they brought me the food 🤦🏻‍♀️ overall very disappointing.

Delicious! We were in search of some good sushi in Glasgow west end - sushi we got here was lovely, ingredients were incredibly fresh especially the salmon and generous portions - filling inside the rolls was really generous, and miso soup I had was great too. Atmosphere was of a nice street-foody vibe, and soy sauce, wasabi etc on the tables for use. Food arrived very quickly and the staff were very smiley and friendly. Will be back to try the hell ramen next time.

I order often from this place but this time it wasn't fresh at all. poorly made. taste was very bad. I don't think I will risk ordering again as uncooked food can be extremely dangerous when not fresh.

Good tempura prawns as always, dumplings fine as was the kimchi; but the pork katsu was uneatable and had to be thrown away: the pork was heavily overcooked and rubbery with a burnt Ruskoline-like breadcrumb coating. The meat was so hard it could not be chewed; thoroughly indigestible. Very disappointed that this was sent out of the Okome West End kitchen and so unlike the quality that we have ordered many times before.

I'm new to Japanese food. I like it, I like it a lot. No hesitation on recommending Okome.

Salmon and eel sushi are good, the salmon rolls have a generous amount of salmon in them. Service is good, staff are reasonably friendly There never seem to be any people sitting inside the restaurant so it seems a little deserted but I'm fine with that.

First the food was two hours late therefore it was cold when it arrived, my granddaughter loves this food but she didn’t enjoy this food at all as it was cold and the noodles were all sticking together, unhappy customer Anne

Came for lunch and had the veggie set which was delicious and such good value!! You get a really good amount of sushi for just over a tenner. Service was friendly and helpful and the place is really cosy with a nice ambience. Will be back!

usually love the food from here but i was really disappointed this time. a lot of rice was still hard and crunchy, chicken and sauce were cold. if it had taken ages to come i would totally get it but it arrived really fast so it can’t have been cold from the journey.

It's a busy Friday night. It's completely understandable that the food was a little late. Iit was still pretty damned good. Thumbs up from us. Will be ordering again. For sure.

good quality food. hellishly expensive but import fees are bound to factor in. tried the oolong tea - my expecting fresh is perhaps unreasonable (or not considering it was £3), but I was given bottled tea that expired 9 months ago.. :\ that's just disrespectful negligence.

Okome holds a special place in my heart because it was my first experience trying Japanese food when it opened! Honestly this place is amazing, food is great and the staff are so nice. I get a takeaway at least once a month, and go for dinner every so often and I’ve never been disappointed 💓.

I got the kimchi beef bowl by takeaway and usually when I eat veggies from other restaurants they are very bland and a bit unfresh, but Okome veggies are so fresh and crunchy and they season their bean sprouts with a delicious sauce. It really took the beef bowl to the next level it’s so crunchy spicy flavourful and delicious.I love that they sell cute Japanese snacks too. I want to dine in here next time.

Food was good but they changed from soft tofu to firm tofu for the salt & chili tofu. Was still good but the soft tofu is better imo. Also, they forgot to include soya sauce and wasabi with the sushi, although that’s the first time they have forgot and I’ve ordered from them many times

Usually the good from this place is great, but tonight the vegetarian sushi tasted off and I ended up throwing half of it away. I'm hoping it's just a one-off case.

By far the nicest food iv had to go in bathgate in a long time. Both me and my partner loved it, would highly recommend. Portions were very generous, apologies not all the gyoza made it into the picture but there were 5 to start 🤣😊

Okome is a japanese restaurant, run by the chinese. I have not tried many dishes, but the ramen is good. They have a variety of choices, there are lunch deals from mon to fri, each day with different dish with the price of £7,5 (from 11h30-4h). Sometimes this lunch deal is changed. The overall price is reasonable. The minimum amount that is allowed to be paid by card is £8, if less then u can only pay by cash. Free wasabi, sesame oil and chilly powder. A good place to try on byres road.

Sushi was great, great selection and fresh flavours. Ikome set is a great taster selection....ordered it twice this week! Looking forward to exploring the menu further if dont default back to sushi as it is that good.

Last minute decision to go out for dinner on Friday night, managed to get a table booked ok. First time visiting Okome in Clarkston, seen good reviews but we were a bit disappointed. The restaurant was cold with fans blowing. We got the one nearest to us switched off but there was still a draft from the other fans and the open door. The waiting staff were friendly enough, not overly though. It was the food we were most disappointed with. My wife had a poke bowl with salmon, expecting cooked salmon, it came with smoked salmon, the portion was small. I had seafood cha han. It was a big portion and quite nice, but not much seafood or vegetables. We ordered a side of edamame, it was frozen and had to send it back to warm it up. Wouldn't rush back.

I really enjoy the food and it is the reason I keep ordering it despite the massive con. There has been multiple occasions now where the delivery has taken over 2 hours to arrive which is really disappointing as the food is great.

Food was okay, but the packaging they use for takeaway is horrible. Fell apart halfway through the journey and the lid of the bowl was impossible to put on again.

I had a great time in that restaurant. The food was great and savoury and the place was clean. However, the place in itself really is too small and some more decorations would make the restaurant a more pleasant place. I think eating to go is a better option.

Not impressed by the food. Chicken skewers were more fat/gristle than meat. Rice was hard, and everything tasted like it was from a frozen section of a super market, especially the chicken gyozas. Miso soup had hardly any seaweed or tofu in it. Salmon nigiri wasn't bad. I would not recommend and won't buy again.

Okome is a nice place to check out for some delicious Japanese food in Glasgow. We tried Spinach bun, tofu curry rice , Prawn Gyoza and passion fruit ice tea. Spinach bun was a unique take on the traditional pork bun. The tofu curry was rich and flavourful. And even the prawn Gyoza was yummy

First time dining in here, I usually order home delivery, beautiful cozy place, i love the food here, I ordered the fried prawns/3pc , this is not my first time trying it and it is always oily, if it is less oily it would be perfect. Thank you 😊 🙏

Terrible experience for my daughters birthday treat nearly 2 hours for it to be delivered and not even a sorry on delivery.

The quality of food and service has deteriorated since we last ordered. Our vegetable tempura never came with the rest and when I contacted the restaurant I was told to request a refund in the app as they were too busy to deal with my call. I have received account credit for the missing dish but I would have preferred a refund to my card, this option doesn’t seem to exist in the app.

The food was really underwhelming for the price. The spicy salmon sushi was nice but the gyoza, crab roll and crab tempura weren't the best. Plus for £14 for crab roll sushi and £10.70 crab tempura it's not exactly cheap. I didn't even end up finishing it, most of it went in the bin.

Salmon poke has a fairly decent amount of salmon, indeed! Quite impressed with how fresh and generous it was. Would like to try the special poke next time.

This place was my go-to spot when I was rushing and in need of a good and filling meal. The service for takeout was usually quick and easy and even when I did sit in the service was still quick. The food itself was delicious. I got the classic beef bowl most often and they gave you a good portion for a decent price. I very rarely could finish all of it in one sitting. The staff was very helpful.
