This place has a really great vibe too it and the staff is really friendly. The food was on point I must say that this is one of the better ramen spot. I didn't wait too long for the food to get to the table. All in all it is a great place and not badly priced.

Chopsticks are disposable. Noodles have no muscles. The chicken Chashu is cold.

My recent visit to Ramen Dayo was anything but delightful. If you’re in the mood for overpriced surprises and mediocrity, look no further. First, the sneaky 10% service charge wasn’t listed on the menu, so imagine my surprise when the bill came. I don’t mind tipping for good service, but not when it’s hidden. It set the tone for an evening full of unpleasant surprises. Then there was the egg incident. The waitress asked if I wanted an egg in my ramen, and I said yes—only to find out later it cost £5, 36% of the dish’s price! Absurd doesn’t begin to cover it. As for the food: the broth was so salty it felt like seawater, the portion sizes were tiny, and the noodles were undercooked and overly firm. To be fair, the decor was charming, and the ginger beer was good. But these few positives couldn’t mask the nausea I felt leaving the restaurant. In summary, Ramen Dayo might look appealing, but it’s a trap. Save your money and taste buds—this place isn’t worth it.

Lovely interiors and very friendly staff. Service was also very quick despite the restaurant being full which is always great. The vegan tantanmen ramen was good, but not the best I’ve had in Glasgow.

The first time to help is also the last time. I have never been in a ramen restaurant where eggs were charged extra. The ramen has a harder texture. The pork ramen does not have pork bone soup base, so you need to use chicken soup base. The soup is not hot enough and is salty. A bowl of noodles comes with green onions, fungus, a piece of seaweed, and two slices of barbecued pork (actually cut into a large round slice) Tangyang Chicken is tough, like being fried again and again Pay the bill £38.xx, 10% service charge Menu prices are different from online prices. It turns out that Tang Yang Chicken and Spicy Mayo are not available, so there is an additional charge, but they didn’t ask me if I wanted it, so they automatically added it. Summary: Cup Noodles are delicious.

I did really want to love this place. The service was great, the interior was cool and inviting, but the katsu curry I ordered was just lacking a bit and the service charge added to the bill automatically is just not cool for a little place like this.

The food is fine, however there is a mandatory 8% service fee which you must pay. They also force you to order on an app and have terrible service, with no interaction with the paying customer. Would not recommend.

It's a great location, you've got loads of transport options. Had there Karagae-Don for a change with a Yuzu cool (soft drink) and it was good, crunchy Karagae, fluffy rice and the picked rounded it off for me, thr yuzu mabye a little more but refreshing and minty, ate and drank it all so I can't complain, excellent for a quick lunch. Quite a few vegan options and some vegetarian too, so not stuck for choice, but I'd look yourself as I don't know enough on the subject

The website advertises uber eats delivery Thu-Mon / 12pm-9pm. I’ve been looking to order delivery since Thursday but everyday they aren’t available on uber eats. On Saturday I called the number advertised on instagram and they were quite standoffish and blunt. I just mentioned I was trying to make an order but they weren’t on uber eats and they just responded that it was a Saturday, no further explanation. Do not advertise delivery if you can’t meet the demand!

I dare say: the most authentic Japanese Tokyo ramen in the UK. Tried the pork bone soup base and chicken soup base, they were great! It tastes so good! The takoyaki and Tang Yang chicken are equally outstanding!

Lovely service here, they took us 5 mins before kitchen closed, so lucky after trying and failing to get a pub feed up the road. Very attentive & all ramen were great.

Great service, wonderful hot Ramen on a cold Scottish night. The staff greeted us quickly although we were seated on a rather small table and chairs, this however remains the only negative feedback for our experience. Our server knew the menu well, and all the staff seemed proud and joyful in providing a delightful dining experience. The miso umami flavor of the soup base was rich, creamy, and bold. The homemade ginger beer is a must.

First time. Food great. Service good but the place itself needs a good deep clean; hope restaurant area not reflective of kitchen cleanliness. Tables covered in grime. Perspex not clean. Floor sticky. Also; just realised I paid a tip twice WTF; so bad.

Avoid going here as long as you know you will like your dish 100%. I ordered the Sansho Pepper Ramen and my advice would be to avoid if you don’t want your dish to taste of soap. I told the server that i really didn’t like the taste as it was too strong for me and his reply in a very rude manner was ‘what do you want me to do about it?’ i asked if i could swap for a rice dish and he said he would ask his manager. The manager came over and told me that there was nothing she could do, couldn’t take it off the bill or swap it for another dish but proceeded to tell me it was her favourite dish which i felt was pretty irrelevant in that moment. I was made to pay £15 for a bowl of ramen that tasted like soap and the ramen mt sister got tasted of nothing. Considering ramen is their main selling dish, it’s a shame 2 of them were very below average. The customer service here was extremely disappointing - at any other restaurant they would do whatever they could to make sure you left happy and full so they would get return business but here they clearly only care about profit. Also if you’re looking for a quick meal, i would avoid here as it took over 30 minutes for our food to come out.

Cozy and lovely little ramen spot. Delicious miso black ramen, wasabi edamame and fried bulgogi gyoza. Good drink selection and vegan options. The service was excellent, Lauren & Gordon were so sweet and attentive. Great date spot, we’ll definitely be back. 10/10 thank you! (:

Very satisfying and comforting ramen, edamame that doesn’t shred apart, gyoza that is flavourful and well textured and tasty drinks. The service was great as well! We had Gordon and Lauren helping us and they seemed genuinely friendly. They were both very charming. Would return for another date or a solo adventure.

We had dinner with my fiancée in this restaurant. The food was delicious: beef gyozas and chicken gyozas, katsu dayo chicken katsu and teryaki salmon donburi. All with a draft asahi beer. We came without a reservation, but a young waiter (from Dover if I remember correctly) still managed to find us two seats at the bar, where we could dine and where we could enjoy a great view of the work of the cooks and the bartender. The decor is perfect in my opinion, it feels like a street in modern post-WW2 Tokyo. We had a great time.

We arrived at the restaurant on a Saturday evening without a reservation. After a ten minute wait we were shown to a narrow counter with high stools. This added to the Japanese dining experience. The waiter was very friendly, helpful and efficient. He brought water as soon as I asked for it. In most places you have to ask about three times before the water arrives. The food was excellent. Ambiance was great. Music suited me perfectly. We had a really good experience dining in this restaurant.

Fantastic service. Incredible food. Brilliant buzz of an atmosphere. Perfect. Would certainly love to visit again. Our two children were also spoiled with the perfect children’s menu.

Wonderful experience. The nice staff managed to squeeze us in on Friday evening. Ramen was fantastic, full of flavour and beautiful texture. The garlic slices in the miso ramen were pure magic. Will return.

Asked the waiter to remove the service charge and they got very confrontational. I was asked why I wanted it removed from the bill, to which I responded: I just don't agree with it. They then proceeded to ask many questions such as Was the service bad? Was the food not good enough? Oh, you just don't want to pay? I'd round up the bill if it wasn't forced. Also the food (char siu bowl and spicy bean sprout salad) was soaked with sauce. I wish they put less sauce in the food.

Absolutely amazing Japanese restaurant, one of the best ramen I've ever eaten, I tried the mushroom one, there are vegetarian options and you have the option to add or remove ingredients as you like. The veggie takoyaki are absolutely excellent and worth trying. I highly recommend it, the place is also very well-kept and Japanese-inspired.

Sister and I went here for lunch and had a great time. We tend to avoid ramen restaurants as the broth is either too salty or just doesn't taste like ramen, but the ramen here is really good. The staff was also super nice and cheerful so it was just a pleasant experience all around. The chicken karaage donburi was my favorite and my sister really enjoyed the new wave Tokyo ramen (substituted the chicken chashu for pork chashu).

You could see the chef work at an incredible speed and the outcome of the food tasted amazing, the waiters made the experience at the resteraunt great. Will definitely come back again!, everything was perfect and the best resteraunt I've been to for while.

We are Day 1 fans of Ramen Dayo, way back when they first opened in Queen Street. Their 16hr ramen bone broths are unbeatable. Very family friendly too! I live in a city with really delicious ramen, but I was so impressed with the quality and authenticity of the food here. The story of the owner travelling to Tokyo and bringing ramen back to Glasgow was really cool, too! I loved my meal and the staff was so friendly and welcoming.

Had a lovely lunch at Ramen Dayo in Finnieston. The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive. Lovely atmosphere with adorable decor. I had the vegan katsu curry with seaweed salad and it was so tasty. My child had noodles with pork and gyoza pork dumplings which they loved. We had togarashi fries to share. Will definitely return to this amazing restaurant!

This time was my second visit to this shop. I went back because food tasted relatively nicer than other ramen places in Glasgow. The reason I am giving two star is the price which I felt it did not worth at all for this time and the waiting time (over 40mins for a ramen). This time I ordered oolong tea hi and a veg devil ramen. The oolong hi literally tasted horrible I honestly don’t understand why it was slightly fizzy😭 I don’t know what alcohol they are using with oolong tea but tasted so bad. Tea was more like water as well. it was nothing like oolong hi. Ramen tasted okay. Didn’t feel like as good as last time unfortunately. My partner’s ramen soup was only filled half and mine was lukewarm. An Egg topping which costed £5 were too salty and tasted like marinated in pure soy sauce. Also looked kind of messy.

The food was good. The spaces to eat are tiny, that is okay though. The sizes should be bigger in my opinion. If you're hungry you probably won't be completely full after the Ramen. *****BEWARE: There is a 10% SERVICE CHARGE ADDED to your cheque, so keep that in mind before tipping another 10% or more.***** I had a Yuzu Cooler as a drink, which tasted great, and my friend had a beer. The beer was quite expensive with about 6£. As a meal I had the New Wave Tokio style with chicken. You should be able to eat with chopsticks because you only get a spoon and chopsticks to eat your meal.

Always no matter Ramen Dayo has been our recent always Dine-in place to dig in for Ramen. Always and period. With a heavyset heart, as I am leaving Glasgow but the love for the Ramen that this place gave me will always be with me and I will keep the taste notes and flavour as a benchmark whenever and wherever I will eat Ramen(even if it’s in Japan). Miso Ramen 5/5 (though they didn’t have the mushroom but subs with bamboo shoots. Devil Veg Ramen 5/5 to the spicy and notes excellent (feedback by my partner) Togarashi Fries 5/5 veg gyoza Chicken karaage 5/5 (My wish-list left to have Katsu someday) Thank you Ramen Dayo for taking care with quality delivery of food🍶 (Both branches are A class) (Finnieston Branch do student discount, good for student peeps)

Great night out with our toddler. Our food and drinks were fantastic and were on the table in record time. The staff was very accommodating for us and our 18-month-old. Try the bulgogi gyosa!

We went in for lunch on a very sunny day so it was quite quiet, not really a buzz of any kind. But the place was modern and clean, very nice servers. Food was delicious! Could maybe do with more seafood options but can't complain! Everything tasted amazing and great portion sizes. The pumpkin croquettes were TO DIE FOR!

This ramen shop may be a little different than what you would expect from Japanese ramen. While the taste may not be what you're expecting, it's still acceptable. However, I noticed a problem. The floor staff continued to put seaweed on the noodles without sanitizing their hands after handling the meals or after serving the table. hope it will improve

lovely wee place with delicious food and a beautiful atmosphere!! i visited as part of a 7-person group for the first time today because of the current restaurant week deal. our server (niall i believe? dark-haired irish fella) was super friendly and accommodating, totally went out of his way to give us a good experience. i had the shiitake+porcini ramen and vegetable fried gyoza & both were class. highly recommend a visit :]

Tasty ramen, with some great choices along with excellent sides. A nice place to pop in for some noodles with friendly service too.

After entering the store, we arranged to sit upstairs. Since the chairs could not be moved, the distance between the chairs and the table was too close, making it very uncomfortable. The music played was too loud and noisy😖 It was said on the table that you can use QR code to order, but it turns out that after ordering and paying, the store cannot receive the order at all. Keep us waiting. The clerk didn't explain why. So just place your order directly with the store clerk. Japanese Curry Chicken Chop Rice has never been my favorite kind of curry. Personally, I prefer Thai curry. My daughter ate the curry rice and said that the degree of reduction was quite high, but there was too much curry sauce. It would have been better if the portion of the rice was larger. The chicken chop is relatively thin, but fried crispy. The dandan noodle soup base is too salty~ Tonkotsu ramen, the ramen has just the right toughness, but unfortunately the soup base is too salty. The fried shrimp rice bowl has a Japanese flavor, but I don’t know what I felt~ Generally speaking, the soup base of Japanese ramen restaurants is generally salty. If MSG is added, it will make people drink more water.

We loved the theming and our table downstairs was very cool. Our food was lovely unfortunately the poor service really lets the place down. Our 2 children’s meals were forgotten about and I had to go find a member of staff to let them know we were still waiting. The adults had almost finished their meals by the time they eventually arrived. Nobody had come back to check how our meals were or offered more drinks. Such a shame!

Delicious food, friendy staff that was very attentive to the clients. We were tourists in town and felt very welcomed, I can only recommend this restaurant 👌.

Fantastic food, freshly made & dumplings to die for! Service so lovely, friendly & great with suggestions when asked. IPA beer was OMG refreshingly cold & went so well with food. Highly recommend a visit. Great value too.

three times in a row I ordered delivery and they got the order wrong (several items missing and I keep receiving the basic ramen even though I paid £17.90 for the deluxe). After a few months I thought I'd give them another shot and the exact same thing happened! management, please take heed. you're consistently charging people for things then not including them. even if they do get an order right it's still extremely overpriced. £12 for middle of the road basic***ch instant noodles and broth is poor, but charging £18 to get half a boiled egg (which is included as standard in any self respecting ramen house the world over) is a joke.

It was just ok. I ordered the Tonkotsu and the pork flavour was overpowered by the nori tbh. No real selection condiments which I had to request and even then I couldn’t really really feel the chilli paste. Noodles were a bit thin/ light and the general volume of the dish was lacking tbh. Lovely lovely intriguing decor . Let down by the far they were playing western pop music. I would go back , to give the other dishes a chance . At this time of year you need your ramen to warm you up and fill you up and it kinda missed the mark . There is a good basic formula here it just needs some tweaking .

Ramen dayo is great as always. Absolutely fantastic full of flavour ramen to warm up after wet and miserable weather. Ramen is as good as in Japan. The whole atmosphere is nice and chill, full of Japanese themed posters and decor. Prices are good as well.

The best Ramen we found in Glasgow so far

Food was good. Service was not good. Waited almost half an hour to even order drinks while there were only a few others in the restaurant. When we did receive our food , the server forgot to provide utensils. The ramen was good, as were the gyoza. Very cramped space, and very hot and loud when sitting on the mezzanine. A shame as based on others reviews I was looking forward to eating here. Unlikely I'll be back. :(

As the neighbour upstairs, I can’t describe the anger that fills me when it’s 3 in the morning and music is blasting through the floor from a restaurant that supposedly should be shut 3 hours before that. I’ve had to get dressed and go out onto the street and bang on the glass for 15 minutes before someone heard me over the music. Currently trying to get the council involved. Have tried the food too and it’s mid.

Tres grosse déception sur ce restaurant. Les saveurs du Japon n'y sont pas. Les ramen sont vraiment mauvais, la viande est uniquement du gras. Le ramen piquant est trop pimenté, et autre ramen sans saveur. Et il n'y a pas de garniture dans les ramen à part des nouilles ! Les gyosas sont corrects. On vous conseille de ne pas y aller.

Absolutely delicious food - particularly enjoyed the pumpkin croquettes, pork gyoza and garlic & sesame salad. All fresh and delicious.

This was one of the best restaurants I’ve been to for a long while - it had become my new favourite in Glasgow! The Ramen is absolutely delicious - so flavourful and huge portions! The Katsu curry was so tasty as well, definitely a unique, delicious tasting Katsu which is hard to come by these days! Will 100% be back for many more meals to come.

Really good Tonkotsu Ramen in a busy restaurant on Finnieston. Nice service, good atmosphere. The chicken karaage I had as a side was unfortunately pretty dry and tough.

Please update your hours! Walked in at 9:30, and were told the kitchen was closed (on a Friday night). The Google info says 10pm. Hostess/waitress didn’t need to be rude about it. Edited to add - if you did in fact sell out, which I don't entirely believe, if the hostess had said a simple, "I'm sorry, our kitchen closed early because we sold out", instead of just saying the kitchen was closed, I would never have felt the need to leave a negative review.

went by myself for a solo lunch. the restaurant felt very welcoming, the staff were nice and the food was lovely will be back for the £9.99 lunch and drink deal!!

Sad experience here, cause I’m sure the food is great, my friends really enjoyed their meals but don’t eat here if you have coeliac disease. There are no gluten free options on the menu at all, and although I mentioned on my online booking that there was a member of the party with coeliac disease I didn’t get a call or email to tell me not to come. The staff didn’t seem to understand what coeliac meant, as after taking our order the manager came over to explain this was the worst place in Glasgow I could have come to. Pretty much everything is marinated in soy sauce. She was honestly brilliant, offered to make up a rice bowl with some veggies and a sauce for me which I really appreciated. It’s just a shame they don’t read the comments box provided for allergies at the booking site or they could have let me know in advance it wasn’t suitable.

When did service charge stop being optional? Very mediocre service and the waitress refused to take it off despite our request and informing her we want to leave cash as a tip. We didn’t feel particularly welcomed either, waitress was reluctant to give us a table for 3, and we were only accommodated thanks to a couple who were leaving who offered us their table. Food is good but won’t be back because of service which left a bad taste in the mouth.

Delicious ramen in a wonderful place. Excellent service from some lovely staff. Wherever I go I try to hunt down some tonkotsu, and Ramen Dayo did a really nice one. I recommend getting the egg added. I'll be back for more ramen next time I visit Glasgow !

디럭스 사이즈 (£16.99) 시켰는데 스몰인줄.. 혹시 주문 잘 못 된건가 싶어서 물어봤더니 디럭스 맞다는데 진짜인지… 맛은 보통. 가라아게는 소금을 추가로 위에 뿌려져서 나와서 좀 짰음. 음료는 코카콜라 제로 시켰는데 다이어트 콜라라며 줘서 제로로 달라고 다시 요청해야했고 맥주는 따라놓고는 한참을 서빙을 안해줘서 거품 다 빠지고 받음. 사소하게 계속 주문 미스나고 신경쓰이게 만들어서 가격대비 만족도가 떨어졌음.

We ordered a “Deluxe” Tonkatsu ramen that’s advertised as more of everything and costs £16.9 ($20). The bowl wasn’t full. It was smaller than ramens I’ve had in Japan/America/Netherlands/Turkey, definitely not “Deluxe” or worth $20. The flavor was okay. The karaage chicken tasted good, really crunchy. Quite salty. We ordered a Medium and it was around 6 pieces. If your ramen comes out mere moments after it’s ordered that’s typically a red flag, as a proper ramen takes a little bit of time to prepare.

Really enjoy the food here, always tasty. The upstairs looked good, unfortunately we got a table downstairs in the cubicles, if you have ANY mobility issues you might find the sunken seating hard. I thought downstairs lacked any atmosphere you might as well be at home ordering for delivery.

Had the best meal here 😋 there Ramen is Fantastic and had my first taste of Sake , will definitely having it again. Will be visiting this place again next time we're in Glasgow

A well-decorated Japanese restaurant in Finnieston. The food looks great, but the taste is just fine but is nowhere near as good as it once was in Ramen Dayo’s opening years. Service was noticeably slow, though staff were polite when I inquired after a 55 minute wait for our mains. With such high prices, I expected a great dining experience but the reality was subpar. Also, to see staff outside smoking and then dumping their cigarette butts down the nearby drain was quite off-putting.

AMAZING. I was only able to get photos of the dumplings because the ramen looked so delicious I ate before my phone had the chance. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Ramen and Donburi. Good food and fair prices. The decoration is really cool, with some Japanese memorabilia and original Japanese detail like an izakaya.

Was there a quiet Friday afternoon on Finnieston street, had three different ramens, all great tasting and excellent service.

Went here with my partner when we visited Glasgow over the weekend. Food was INCREDIBLE! Asian cuisine is our favorite and this was one of the best we have had. We have not stopped talking about how incredible it was for days. The service felt a bit rushed, but they were very busy and I can certainly see why. The people were polite and everything came quite quickly. The atmosphere was excellent as well, we loved the interior design and how it felt like we were in a street somewhere. Absolutely gorgeous inside. The biggest shame that we faced about the place is that now we have gone home, there isn't a Ramen Dayo in our city. Next time we are in Glasgow we will 100% be returning.
