Wagamama's in Glasgow City

Been to wagamama a few times so know what to expect! There are a few new dishes on the menu, so we had chicken yakitori skewers and Korean barbecue beef buns as a starter, then we both had chicken gochujang rice bowl. All dishes were delicious. The rice bowl is quite spicy but still very tasty. Our waitress was really lovely. Service was good. Not the cheapest place to eat but worth it. Definitely try these dishes again!

Visited today for an anniversary lunch , and were delighted with the food and the service . The staff went out of their way to make our celebration very special. Would recommend this restaurant on envy level

Visited with a friend for dinner. Food was super tasty, hot and we both really enjoyed. Didn’t feel rushed out post meal which was good too. Will return.

Visited for the first time with my husband a few months ago. Meant to post this sooner. Was made to feel so welcome. Sometimes in restaurants with different cultures etc it can feel a bit daunting but the staff were so lovely and helpful. Ordered too much the first time but we learned how much we needed the second time. Both thoroughly enjoyed the food. Loved watching the chefs cooking our food fresh. I was a bit nervous at first because I even though I love trying different food I was a bit out my comfort zone, but the staff honestly made me feel So at ease and were on hand to answer any question about the menu. Only thing I would say is that the wine I way more expensive by the glass than restaurants I have been to in surrounding areas. Would have ordered a second glass if it was a little bit cheaper. Would definitely visit again but only as treat because you definitely get less for your money than closer restaurants to us. That said, I do appreciate that you are partly paying for the experience and watching the chefs cook is amazing. Wish I could remember the name of the woman who served us the second time, she seemed like she might be a manager and didn’t laugh at me when I wasn’t sure how to pronounce edamame! Can’t wait to return.

First time trying wagamamas. I did really enjoy my meal but still don’t get the huge hype- I’m more of a burger and fries girl. I had sirloin steak on yakisoba noodles which were yummy. The duck bao buns were phenomenal, would come back for them for sure! The bbq beef gyozas were disgusting just not my personal preference super weird tasting. Staff were all very nice and it was nice for a little change. Would need to be in the mood for it to return

On a trip to the fort decided for the first time to have lunch here. Arrived to be approached by a waitress, Chloe who asked whether we wanted to sit at a bench or at the higher tables. She then explained the menu in some detail giving us some good tips on the food. Excellent food and excellent service and we look forward to our next visit.

Me and my husband regularly visit this Wagamama’s for dinner. Food and service is always great. Lovely table by the window watching the world go by is just lovely!

Loved the food. Great service. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. Somebody really should have said something to the parents of those kids running around. Screaming, chopsticks in hand and jabbing at each other when there are staff walking around with hot food and drinks.

Really disappointed as the food and service was really poor. Glasgow Fort seems to have went right downhill.

I love the food in Wagamama and usually have teryaki soba steak. However I have a couple of issues. The teriyaki soba used to be served with sirloin steak, now it just says steak, not such good tender quality meat I’m afraid and the price has gone up! The next issue I have is that your plates are never pre-heated and the noodles go cold very quickly (this does seem to be an issue no matter which Wagamama visited). I have mentioned this to numerous servers. Also a little disappointed that you have removed the movable glass screens.

I was in last Monday for an early dinner and can honestly say one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I never caught my servers name which is a shame but he sat us down and straight away asked if there were any allergies at our table. I have a severe pulses allergy and the waiter let the manager know who then took my order and reassured me that my meal would be made separate and with no risk of contamination. I have never been in a restaurant where they have not only taken my allergies so seriously but with such care and consideration. Plus the food we ordered was excellent and was all served at once even though my meal was being cooked separately. Thanks again for the great experience!

This was our first time in Wagamama and it was a great experience. The food was excellent, somewhat expensive, but definitely decent value for money for the experience. The only thing I would fault is £3.10 for a glass of Coke, but that is to be expected when dining out.

I ordered a click and collect prawn raisukaree. It was extremely bland. I could not taste any coconut . There were virtually no chillies and no heat whatsoever. ☹️ It was tasteless. I always order the same dish so knew what to expect and this wasn’t it.
