E Sushi Japanese Restaurant in Glasgow City

Fantastic meal, we really enjoyed all of the dishes we ordered. The okonomiyaki was listed as a starter but would work as a main given the portion size. The gyoza and cheese sushi were also very flavourful and beautifully presented. Our order arrived quickly and the service was polite and welcoming. Recommended!

I’ve visited Esushi many times and have really enjoyed the food and service. Last night was no different though I did not recognise any of the staff and was a little suspicious that they no longer offer an allergen menu. A strange change of policy. Having made it clear I had coeliac disease and identified the ingredients I am unable to consume, I settled to enjoy my food. Sadly, my food and I were unable to spend much time together as on returning home I realised all was not right. Coeliac disease is a serious business if you get it wrong and I’m afraid e sushi did. I prize restaurants that know their stuff when it comes to catering for me. I’m so disappointed that Esushi is no longer one of them.

I used to love e-sushi but the last 2 times I was there the service was worse! I gave them a chance last night (23/02/24) because the food was delicious and I am sushi fan. The waitress put me sat the table behind then they not come to ask me for a drink. I was calling them everytime so I wasn’t happy customer tbh. I decided not go back there anymore. I would give them —0 for the service.

Food wasnt great but the service was worse. The waitresses were disrespectful with a bad attitude. First time also the last time.

We have eaten in the restaurant 3 times recently and had quite a few takeaways. The sit down meals are always very good and the service quite friendly and very efficient in a nicely presented and decorated restaurant. We enjoy the starters and mains and the portions are very good, so unfortunately we haven't experienced the puddings, yet. The takeaways are pretty good as well but as in all takeaway food some dishes are better eaten soon after cooking than after a while on delivery. This is no criticism of E Sushi just a general observation. So very happy to recommend and to revisit next time in Glasgow.

Great food, very nicely presented, great service, good price and a lovely ambience on a Tuesday evening. The diners were a mixed crowd of families, couples and groups of friends/family, old and young. Thoroughly enjoyed this night out and would highly recommend this restaurant. For those who are not familiar with Japanese food and possibly a bit apprehensive about raw fish dishes, the explanations and pictures in the menu were very helpful. Knives and forks were offered as an option with the standard chopsticks.

This is an absolute must visit, we had the best meal we’ve had in a long time. Every dish was delicious and good value for money. The staff we lovely. We will definitely be regulars and can’t recommend highly enough. Stand out dishes were the chicken gyozas, prawn shumai and okonomiyaki.

I took my mum for a girl's day out treat and we both had a great experience. The staff were welcoming, courteous, attentive and happy to help with tasty suggestions The food was fresh. This has been the best tasting sushi I have had in Glasgow. Very happy we decided to go.

Food is Nice Esp the tempura. Always go here when we are in Glasgow. Went to E Sushi in Byres Road on June 15 this year. But our visit wasn’t pleasant this time the staff that serves us , the younger , lean & short hair Asian Woman is a bit rude & impatient & like to roll her eyes . 1st to my 90 yrs old Father in Law.My father in Law walked from Botanical Garden to E Sushi & that day was really hot & would like to have a glass of water 1st before he order. And we already knew , what we will order, we looked a menu a day before. But its her accent that we don’t quite understood & when you ask her again she rolled her eyes & looking very impatient. We are not this customers who’s horrible to the staff esp the one that will serve our food. We are the the 1st customer , went there at 12pm.So its not the attitude we are expecting for a staff esp if you just open. If you are not happy with your Job , Go find somewhere else!

Visited here for lunch with my partner and son. Food was absolutely fantastic - tasty, hot and very well presented. Probably the best Japanese food we have ever had in Glasgow (and we’ve tried a lot!). Staff were all fantastic and we couldn’t believe the speed and freshness of food. The menu is extensive without being too much and bonus points for pictures of the food!

A fantastic place to eat, our second time and it was as good as the first. My wife and I visited for her birthday and shared the chicken yakitori and salmon maki rolls, both were delicious, especially the chicken. I had the pork stir fry box and she had the tofu steak Dom, both were excellent. I highly recommend a visit, we’ll be back again soon.

Second visit here and first time I rated 5/5. Had delicious noodles just like before but the portion was too small, even smaller than last time and most definitely not worth the money. I would maybe have ordered a starter but the menu was taken away so quickly in fact the service was so fast I didn't feel relaxed especially since members of staff took turns at standing about a foot away from our table throughout the very quick lunch. Not sure I'd go back.

Absolutely amazing restaurant! One of the best dining experiences we've ever had. The food was delicious, the decor and restaurant were gorgeous, and the staff were all deeply kind, warm, and lovely people! They were utterly wonderful with my son and went above and beyond for all of us. Can't recommend this place enough!
