Good selection of sushi which they make to order. They also have a fridge with some takeaway sushi packs. Both the sushi and poke bowls are really nice. There are tables if you want to dine in. My only criticism is that the sushi rolls had slightly too much rice for the amount of filling. Really like this place and will be back.

Super disappointed with the food. I’d heard great things but instead got a few bits of rubbery beef on rice and “tempura” prawns with a foot of batter more chipy style than Japanese. The staff were delightful though!

Great lunch spot! Very knowledge on gluten free and they even offer gluten soya sauce. Food was great and tasted very fresh! Will be back.

Got here at lunch time to find a big queue and I can see why. The queue went quite quickly though. You can create your own poke bowl from a base of sushi rice brown rice or leaves. Then pick tuna or salmon or some veg altertnatives, 5 topping from a big range and two garnishes then your choice of dressing for £8.50. It's a pretty good sized portion they don't stint and the tuna was pretty good. Fast friendly service. A great lunch option. We will be back.

This is an amazing Japanese food take-out or sit in. We sat in with friends. The food was absolutely delicious. Best I have tasted. Definitely be back.

I have been here a few times now usually alone whilst waiting to collect a teenager and sometimes with a teenager! The food seems expensive initially but honestly it so hodd and you get a giant fully filled up pole bowl with loads of choices for £8. Which is so much better value than anything similar that I have seen. Really yummy and healthy too.

This is just a standard pseudo Japanese place serving usual stuff - mostly poke bowls, sushi and gyoza. You can out together your own poke, with lots of different (pre-packaged but fine) ingredients. I did and ordered the Japanese dressing. This was a mistake. The dressing was so overloaded with wasabi it made me literally cry and ruined the taste of the whole dish. Having lived in Japan I can assure that that was not a "japanese" dressing. Yes, wasabi is a Japanese ingredient but the proportions were all over the place. A disaster. The kindly staff were sympathetic and offered me some (actually not that good) sushi as recompense. Perhaps I was just unlucky. I think normally a poke bowl is fairly harmless, as long as the ingredients are OK.

I went to eat Chicken Katsu Curry a couple of weeks ago and the experience was rubbish. The server at the till was friendly. The prices of my bowl felt pricy considering you just get rice, the sauce (this included vegetables and was spicy). The only reason I would avoid this place is because there is no hygiene in place, for example, in my bowl I found a hair and later that day got sick from food poisoning. Advice for the management - please outline if the sauce is spicy because I am allergic to spice. I have tried variety of Katsu sauce which ranges for very mild to highly spicy.

It’s pricey for an office lunch but you get big portions so it’s very good value. I’ve been a couple of times now: big fan of the poke bowls. You get to pick your own base, toppings etc and there’s plenty of choice. Everything that I had in my bowl was good. I tried their karaage chicken too but didn’t rate this; tasted too salty and there wasn’t much chicken in it, batter too thick and soggy and very oily on the inside.

Went here after reading some good reviews and so glad I did. I had a poke bowl and it was amazing - 10/10. So tasty and lots of options of what to have in it. The place itself is nice and there is some seating so you can dine in. The staff were nice. Can’t wait to go back!

The service was good, the food was very fresh and there is a lot of variety 😊 would highly recommend for lunch. I had a bento box and my partner had a poke bowl. Both were very satisfied.

I had some great sushi on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant decor is bright, staff were extremely helpful. Lots of options on the menu, prices very reasonable. I went for the highland roll sushi which was perfection. There was seating available inside and outside. Recommend for sushi in central Glasgow in a relaxed setting.

After a long train journey, this delicious meal was much needed! So glad I found it and plan to make it a regular post-travel treat. Pumpkin katsu curry was delicious, with brown rice and yummy crispy onions. The sauce was great and came in a separate pot which was excellent. Only negative was the step to get in, so as a wheelchair user I couldn’t access the shop. Usually I would consider taking off a star, but staff were very happy to help and I could see the menu from the doorway to order. Totally delicious!

Uplifting, colourful bowl of goodness... feel good food! Healthy, fresh tasty produce with so many choices. Staff are helpful, friendly and always willing to help with poke bowl suggestions. The atmosphere is uplifting to walk into and I’m so glad Akiko has chosen to come to Glasgow.

I was in here a few weeks ago with my mum and sad to say it’s gone really downhill. The refurb has totally ruined what was once a lovely atmosphere and is now very tacky and in your face. The food has also gone downhill with most of the food seeming like it had been taken straight out the freezer, heated up and put on your plate. The food here used to be incredible and felt very authentic. Also the wine list consists on one red, one white, and one fizz. Lack of options were disappointing. Really used to love it here but will now not return. Really sad to see such an incredible place go so downhill.

i mean it’s a dinner and a show so that’s the main deal here, the starters are trying to look better than they taste (since when does korean fried chicken come as a few frozen bites slathered in ketchup). The service was fantastic although did not like the final serve to be the meats (which are to a solid standard) while they slowly starve your appetite with carbs and veg. The ticket is probably worth the price here, but i prolly won’t attend again.

Delivered one half of our order and the other an hour later because “the driver didn’t want to take more bags” could not get a refund never getting food from this place again. Not impressed.
