Been going to this place every so often since it first opened way back when. Found out about the sushi school via a gift website. Had a little trouble calling (voicemail always full) and the emails took a few goes and some to-ing and fro-ing, but eventually got booked. The class is a proper laugh. You make LOADS of sushi, the menu was altered slightly as we had some vegans in the group, but those who also defo wanted to make meat sushi were still able to. Staff were informative and lovely,

Went here for lunch with my boyfriend. Service was quick and friendly, food was delicious as ever. Can never go wrong with the strawberry cheesecake mochis! Only thing I'd suggest is bringing back the older ordering system with the traffic lights, as it's much easier to tell the dishes apart. Other than that, love this venue and will be back!

Ive been going to Yo-sushi for over ten years and I really do love it but the last meal I had in silverburn was poor. I’m not going to go in to great detail but the chicken firecracker rice was different (different in a bad way) and the rice wasn’t cook right so me and Mrs nearly broke our teeth on rice. Safe to say we both didn’t eat it.

Staff trying, but it’s lost it. Lots of items ‘not available’, no orange juice, etc. No red button for service, no water taps, still ask you to order via App (I refused). No quirky Japanese announcement. No personality any more. Food average. Servers were trying, but the magic has long gone. A shame.

Go here regularly and the last few times I've been the portions are TINY and really stale like they have been in the fridge for days. My sushi yesterday was so cold I had to wait for it to warm up slightly before eating it as it was FREEZING. Paid £4.50 for a yasai roll and got 3 very very thin bits of sushi. Got an spicy avocado roll - wasn't spicy but was SOAKED in sweet chilli sauce. Inari pockets were slimy. My mum got ramen - we were both confused as the broth seemed just like hot water with noodles and mushrooms in it so it tasted like nothing. Also - why is there no pickled ginger offered anymore? Yes, we are still in a pandemic but customers didn't have to pay extra for it before so why are they being charged a premium for it now? This place has gone downhill big time and wouldn't be surprised if it closes within next few years. Staff were friendly enough but also seemed like they couldn't really be bothered. Fair enough though as all transactions are online now so they are probably making even less tips than they were before.

Eventually got staff to take order as they knew there was an App problem. Took too long. Food nice when arrived, but this used to be about the ‘experience’. That has gone.

We go to yo sushi regularly and always have a fantastic experience whether it's click & collect or dine in. I've always used my blue light discount in store or online and never had any issues. Tonight we decided to have a treat and order click & collect but the website kept going into an error and would not let us order. We phoned instead to explain where they took our order instead, which was fine, but the staff member said we were not able to have the blue light discount as this was online only? I argued that this was not true and it has always been and still states in the T&Cs that it is valid in store and the fact we couldn't use it online was the fault of the website. The staff member remained adamant it was not possible for them to give the discount. Poor service or lack of knowledge by staff has tainted our experience tonight. Will be inclined to opt for the stores who have no issue providing nhs discount without making us feel an inconvenience.

Popped in tonight to try the eat out for longer initiative and although there weren’t many GF options on it, the staff were so accommodating and altered the dishes to make them ok to eat - but still delicious! Very much appreciated to the blonde chef (sorry didn’t catch your name) and our female server (again sorry no name!) Will be back for more gf sushi deliciousness!

I hadn't been in Silverburn for ages but had to take a phone for repair last week and discovered Yo! is not just a sushi place (I don't do raw fish).The place was busy for a Thursday night at 8pm but we got seated quickly. The cheery waitress gave us advice about portion sizes (they're pretty big) and we ended with chicken teryaki (x 2), rice (x 1) and miso and veg ramen (x 2). The food was good - I've been to Japan and I know how things should taste. With a glass of wine and coke, the bill was about 30 quid. The service was smart - we'd said on arrival we only had 40 minutes. My companion is kinda suspicious of Japanese food but on our next visit, I'm pretty sure she'll be happy to try other dishes.

Yo Sushi used to be a favourite for us but sadly things have slipped badly here. Queued for ages despite loads of spaces available at the bar. The conveyor was empty at 6pm and after 30 minutes waiting for our food order to arrive, even the cucumber Maki hadn't been made. We had to ask for it to be boxed up. No apology and no offer to have even the overpriced filtered water taken off out bill as a gesture. Ripoff and disappointing food.

Went while last minute Christmas shopping at Silverburn. Staff were rushed off their feet but we were seated quickly. The food was amazing as always now here's my suggestions. I get that they must make a fortune on take away but that seemed to hold up staff actually making food for the belt. There was no beef tatiki when asked which surely is popular. Where we were say was clearly the gateway of food being passed and conversation had between floor and kitchen staff. If these wee things had been better you would have 5 all the way.

My son and I love yo sushi it’s a fortnightly tradition for us but the last three or 4 visits to yo sushi in silverburn has been very disappointing, there’s not enough staff so you end up waiting to be seated for quite a while without even acknowledgement, you place your order and even though we get water our glasses don’t come straight away and I find myself buzzing the bell to remind them to bring the glasses. The food is always different even though we order the same thing everytime and the staff just don’t seem too interested in their job, my last visit at the end of the meal I was charged twice by one of the servers, she got a manager to correct the error and then started telling us that he is grouchy and stressed. I have been to the yo in Glasgow city centre and my experience there was a million times better. I don’t think I will continue with the silverburn one as my expectations are very rarely met and I always feel disappointed when I leave.

¡La cena con Denise y el servicio al cliente fue excelente! ! Las patatas fritas estaban frías y el encantador Mohammad las cambió muy rápido. . Llegué a una cita con mi esposa un viernes por la noche. Parecía que estaban listos para cerrar a las 7 pm. Todos los que trabajan allí se ven cansados y sin entusiasmo, me siento mal por ellos. Casi no había comida en el transportador, lo que le quitó la mitad de la diversión. Las gafas estaban sucias, tardó una eternidad en responder a las solicitudes. No me importa pagar el alto costo del sushi, pero cuando la experiencia es tan deslucida, rechina.

Vamos a Yo! Con bastante frecuencia en la mayoría de los alrededores de Glasgow y sus alrededores, sin embargo, el Silverburn es nuestro favorito. Tracey suele ser nuestro servidor y siempre encantadora con una sonrisa en su rostro, siempre nos recuerda, lo cual es un buen toque. Tracey se asegura de que nuestro pedido sea correcto y siempre mantiene nuestra comida a tiempo para la película que vamos a ver, ya que normalmente llegamos tarde. Fui esta tarde a Yo. Sorprendido de que el lunes azul no estuviera encendido, pero aún más sorprendido de que no hubiera sushi en el cinturón. Este era mi restaurante favorito, pero dudo que vuelva ya que es la segunda vez que me decepciona. Terminé con un plato caliente que estaba bien. . . Por eso hay tres estrellas. Tu hermano necesita sacar tu dedo y hacer que el restaurante vuelva a funcionar.

My experience of this Yo Sushi is as a take out. The first time I ordered pumpkin katsu curry, I didn't check the bag and didn't realise until I got into my car that it was in fact, chicken katsu curry. I was annoyed because I couldn't eat the food that I was looking forward to but I put it down to an unfortunate mistake- mistakes happen! The second time, I once again ordered the pumpkin katsu curry, confirmed it was vegan and waited. It was taking a while, there was nowhere to really wait out of the way and I was tired so I asked if I could sit whilst waiting. The waitress was quite rude and said no, with no explanation. Again, I kind of thought "one rude waitress, maybe having a bad day, doesn't make the restaurant bad." Eventually my food was unceremoniously dumped on the counter and I had to call a different person, who turned out to be the manager, to just check that it was indeed my order. The manager was polite and verified that it was. He saw me checking the food and asked if I needed help so I told him about the last time where I had received chicken instead of pumpkin katsu curry, and that I was a vegetarian. He said just by looking he could see it was the vegan option. Again, he was polite and helpful so I was happy and looking forward to finally getting my katsu! I was happily tucking into the rice and pumpkin, when I tasted the texture and taste of chicken. My partner is a meat eater so he tried some and verified that it was chicken. It turned out the vegan option had hunks of chicken all the way through it. I was very disappointed to say the least, and if you have any dietary restrictions, requirements or allergies, I wouldn't trust this restaurant or branch to take care of your concerns. For anyone planning on eating here, good luck!

The reason I like, or should I say liked, Yo Sushi is the revolving belt with all the different dishes of food to choose from. We were shown to our seat and to our great disappointment, the belt was empty apart from a lonesome dessert making its way round and round.. The very pleasant waiter explained the reason the belt was empty was because the chef had been so busy all day and did not have time to replenish it..

I visited yesterday and my son is very impatient and can be a nightmare in a resteraunt. Luckily I had a great staff member who was called Samantha she was very warm hearted and was patient with my son and manage to actually settle him which was amazing. He loved the trip and he had never tried sushi before and he loved it and so did I very tasty thank you to Samantha and the team will be back again :)

Possibly the worst £40 ever spent. Food was not great at all. Could tell the food on the conveyer belt had been there for hours. Ordered a teriyaki burger - the burger bun was so soggy, I couldn’t event lift it and the chicken was hard and tasteless. The sushi was also soggy and tasteless.

Went into this restaurant after a visit to the cinema. We were well looked after by server Tracy who explained how the restaurant operated , and gave us some good advice on choice of dishes. The range of food is excellent and all dishes we chose were quite delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Miso soup which Tracy ensured was topped-up as required , I also enjoyed the Chicken Katsu , and then the Japanese Green tea which again was topped-up. We were really impressed with how well-organised this restaurant was , all staff friendly, courteous , and helpful. All-in-all a great experience.

My daughter and I visited Yo Sushi (Silverburn) extremely impressed with the new "Blue Monday" menu. Our server Beth was very friendly and helpful. Although the price has slightly increased to £3 a dish, the food was delicious and well worth it, when ordering from the hot menu I didn't have long to wait to receive my food, my daughter is a fussy eater and she tried some of the new dishes and enjoyed them. Will definitely be back!

La comida siempre es increíble y realmente disfrutamos visitándote! Sushi Silverburn y probar cosas nuevas en el menú. Nuestros favoritos son el ramen, el curry de Katsu, el pollo japonés y las gambas de Katsu. Siempre cocinado a la perfección. The kids, aged 5yr and 7yr ate for free under their current offer. Good value. There was a lot of complicated ordering between the kids' and the regular menus but the staff, especially Natasha, took a lot of care to see that all our expectations were met. The boys were very keen to take their own orders from the moving belt. It would have been easier just to bring our stuff to the table, but they sorted it so that the kids wishes were fulfilled. The place was very busy with a queue out the door, but they kept their cool and focussed on us as much as humanely possible. Full marks for keeping cool under fire and being responsive.

I come to a lot of Yo Sushi’s, but this is by far the worst. The service, although you’d never expect much for this type of restaurant, is AWFUL. Waited almost an hour for a bowl of plain rice, when I complained the server was rude and really couldn’t care less.

The food is generally delicious but the vegan pseudo-mayo is horrid and spoils otherwise nice dishes (the mayo is only reason it's not 5 stars for food). The service button hasn't worked the last couple of times ive been there and when it's busy this has a detrimental impact on service - can be tricky to catch someone's eye.

We enjoyed our visit. Sampled various dishes which were all very nice. Salt & chilli squid, chicken katsu, gyoza, chicken ramen. Freshly cooked. Quite expensive but something different. There was only one member of wait staff and the poor lady was rushed off her feet although we were not in any hurry.

Went to Yo Sushi in Silverburn this afternoon with my two daughters for a bite to eat before travelling back down to Ayrshire. Arrived at 2.50pm and waited to be shown to a table. At 3.10pm gentleman advised it would be another 5 minutes as they were clearing a table. Another wait and no table. The people behind us left and somewhere else. Eventually we decided to leave as well and said to one of the staff that we were leaving and that we were extremely disappointed in their customer service..Ever other restaurant that I have been waiting for a table in has had a member of staff at least acknowledge that we were there. Very poor reflection on your company and they weren't that bothered that we were annoyed

Me and my mum came in at lunch and were seated promptly. We were shown the sushi virgin menu and as my mum hasn't been before the waitress was very helpful. The manager overheard that we were unsure on some of the dishes so came over and helped us out. He was extremely helpful and showed us what dishes had fish and which had chicken. A great experience, and as always the food was great! He also told us to come back in next month for some new dishes and was in general a lovely man!

I absolutely adore the new summer menu and the summer rolls are amazing. But I have to say that Rochelle at Silverburn makes the best in Glasgow. The perfect mix of vegetables, noodles, herbs and pineapple, so every bite is awesome. Well done Rochelle 😍

Visité la última vez y tuvimos una excelente comida. El servicio era excelente. La chica que nos sirve (no tomar su nombre, pero tenía bastante oscuros de pelo y gafas) no podría haber sido más servicial. Sin duda volveremos. Pase en mi gracias a la chica (debe ser de 30 s a 40 s) temprano como uno de nuestro grupo es bastante exigente y ella hizo todo lo que pudo para ayudar.

My friend and I had such a lovely evening learning how to make Sushi with Peter and Joy tonight in Yo Sushi Silverburn. They were both so informative and made the experience lots of fun, I learned so much! I’m going to bring my 9 yr old to a class soon cause she’s a real foodie too and would love the experience and she really loved my sushi.

Can’t beat this location for quality food, friendly service, huge selection of choices, and always clean. Ordering off the menu is a plus when you’re looking for something specific and now there’s bigger portions of some favourites, like the Katsu Curry, my hubs absolute fave.

I’ve tried this place a few times and at least half the times I’ve had to wait so long for a table that I’ve left. I don’t think the service is the problem as on quieter occasions I’ve found the staff good - there just simply isn’t enough of them in the evenings. The staff on are running around like crazy trying to serve everyone. I do enjoy the food - it’s just a shame that I have to end up going elsewhere a lot.

El lugar parece fresco y juguetón, especialmente con el sushi platos moviendo todo el restaurante, es como la banda donde recoger su maleta ant del aeropuerto, pero por supuesto en menor escala así los platos rotan y usted puede elegir lo que quiere comer. Los platos están categorizados por color y dependiendo de que son los precios. Tendrá que comer unos 4 o 5 para disfrutar de una buena comida, pero también puedes pedir del menú. El servicio era bueno y amable.

My first real sushi restaurant experience, went with 3 others one of whom hates fish!Staff were friendly and helpful, restaurant had a great buzz.Cold foods could be taken from the conveyor with hot food ordered via pressing a button on the table to get a staff member, which worked well.Menu was great and the quality hard to fault but be careful as you get charged per dish and they mount up! We paid about £90 for four people with drinks but did have a lot of dishes. A great experience and highly recommend but just keep an eye on the prices.

1st visit to this particular Yo! Sushi and we both enjoyed it. We were served by two different members of staff during our meal and both were friendly and talkative. Our orders didn’t take too long and everything was tasty, especially the steamed pork bun. The only drawback is that the price isn’t really justified considering that the portions are small. Would probably come back but there are many cheaper options in Silverburn so shall be giving them a go first

First attempt at Yo!Sushi. It made for a decent lunch. Dishes are quite expensive for portion size and they charge £1.30 for a glass of tap water. Staff didn't explain or ask if we needed help with how everything works. Would recommend giving it a try but probably won't be back.

As a sushi lover, I was delighted to discover Yo! Sushi almost a year ago now. Been to Braehead branch, service is much worse. Silverburn has very nice, friendly team and excellent food so I come here often with both my partner and my friends. Fresh, excellent food. Love the new menu. Chicken katsu curry is one of my boyfriend's favourite dishes, He always orders it (a sumo portion :D) as he doesn't eat sushi. Katsu prawns are divine, same with chicken gyoza. Bue Monday makes my Mondays best part of the week. Great job and keep going - we'll definitely be coming back frequently :)

Having had a quick lunch here with one of my sons a week ago, I visited Yo! Sushi Silverburn with my wife and both teenage lads. As Yo! Sushi can be rather expensive we opted for 'Blue Monday' where most dishes are charged at the blue plate price of £2.80. That said, we still managed to run up a considerable tab! Between us, we worked through 34 dishes, trying many options from the conveyor belt. The food was uber fresh and very tasty. Hard to pick a favourite but the katso prawns and peppered rare beef were scrumptious. Yo! Sushi offers good food in many varieties and is great fun. Nice friendly staff are always on hand to explain what is going on for the uninitiated. Definitely recommended but don't expect a cheap meal!

First time with our daughter. Treated her to lunch. She wanted to try YO! Sushi.Nice watching the food bowls go round. A bit confusing when it came to working out what each bowl contained.Decided to order from the menu which was nice and simple. Anything hot takes a bit longer as everything is prepared fresh.Really good selection. Just had an issue when looking to order more dishes. Not enough staff to serve everyone. When we did get someones attention, we were advised that all we had to do was switch on the light. If we only were told when we made our initial order.Staff were kept busy. Very helpful. Nice location near Debenhams. Just watched people go by while we waited for our dishes.Whilst we enjoyed the food and the experience, just felt that we weren't full at the end.

I had a fantastic experience at Kokoro Glasgow! Among all the top-rated restaurants I’ve tried in the city, this one truly stands out. The food is absolutely delicious, and the restaurant maintains a high level of cleanliness and efficiency. A special thanks to Mitra for their excellent service—it made the visit even better! She was welcoming and attentive, which added to the overall positive experience. The menu offers a great selection of vegetarian options. The fresh sushi and katsu salad were both exceptional—flavorful and perfectly portioned for a satisfying meal. Highly recommend Kokoro Glasgow for anyone looking for tasty Japanese food with great service. I’ll definitely be coming back!
