The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

We've tried this place several times, but unfortunately, the experience has been consistently disappointing. The pizzas and calzones are always burnt, leaving a strong, unpleasant taste reminiscent of burnt toast. If you're into that, you will enjoy it, but it's not for us. We've also sampled the pasta dishes, like the carbonara, but they’ve been very hit and miss occasionally lacking flavor altogether. Even on quieter nights, the food takes longer than expected to arrive and is often just lukewarm and soggy by the time it gets to us. Despite giving them multiple chances to improve, we've decided this will be the last time we order from here.

Aunque el servicio era bueno, la comida era terrible. Éramos un grupo de ocho personas y nuestra comida llegó dentro de 10-15 minutos de pedido. Lo que significa que todo se calentó antes de preparar la comida. Pedí un Calzone, que consistía en un 40-50 % de masa y algunos trozos de verduras insípidas y pierces, con pasta de tomate en el medio, el peor Colzone que he probado. Y suelo pedir Calzones en restaurantes italianos. Tenía una forma preformada con un borde engarzado, no una base de pizza doblada, se cubrió con un poco de queso parmesano molido previamente de un paquete. Cuando el, supongo gerente vino a nuestra mesa, después de la comida para preguntar si habíamos disfrutado de esto, le dije lo que pensaba de mi Calzone. Tuvo la mejilla de sugerir que vendría a visitarme a mi restaurante como respuesta. Evita esta trampa turística a precios escandalosos a toda costa. No puedo creer que haya recibido críticas decentes y sólo puedo respaldar lo que se dijo en la revisión de marzo de 2025.

Food was lovely. The only down side were the staff being a bit tardy getting our drinks, especially as it was early and we were the only ones in there. I'm also not a fan of take out orders being so obvious as it spoils the dining experience, but understand this is difficulf in places with limited space.

Really poor experience, loads of tables just left in a state after people had finished eating. We were sat at a table that had to be wiped down around us. My partners carbonara was like warm but meat burnt so sent back and therefore didn’t eat together. My lasagne luke warm but didn’t send back as bloody hungry. Use to be really good but wouldn’t recommend to your dog, considering this has cost circa £60 for 2. Go somewhere else as Richmond has better places to eat.

Fantastic and trendy. They have a new menu which was epic. Also had a dj on while we were there and that mixed it up a bit, which was great. Fantastic staff and a cracking little place.

ordered food at 9:30 through the online app and it just didn't show up

There are many cafes in the shopping centre. I'll NOT use this one again. Service very slow, 5 working yet it took 3 minutes to take my order. But the next person (male) was served while I was still paying. I asked for my tray to be bought to me asi had a shopping trolley to push also, they ignored me. Cake ghastly and dry, coffee ended up all over tray due to juggling a tray and shopping trolley

Been to this place a few times owner goes out of his way to make sure you get the food you want .food is freshly cooked hot and well presented.if your passing stop in you won’t be disappointed. Great food great service and a warm welcome ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Discovered this takeaway as new to the area. Friendly staff, great pizzas, good burgers. Have yet to ty the kebab's but is on list.. Reasonable pricing for everything. Is my go to place when hungry. Recommend it .

Came here some weeks ago, had bacon, sausage and mushroom breakfast bap, amazing 👍👍. Came back today 15th May the kitchen has been upgraded and a different menu. No breakfast baps!!! So I ordered bacon rustic rolls instead .Awful absolutely awful, the bap was toasted so hard it cracked, the bacon was over cooked, the whole thing was disgusting. We will never eat here again.

Can never fault the food from here. Always amazing and tops every where I have ever tried in Peterlee. The staff always go above and beyond and I can't recommend them enough. Thank you Chilla for a consistent amazing service

Food was ok, however they didn't deliver my bottle of Pepsi, ordered through food hub, reported it but just got fobbed off. Not sure how they would have refunded me anyway as they only take cash.
