Great little place - lovely roast dinner with nicely cooked veg, Yorkshires and plenty of gravy and nicely cooked meat. Friendly and comfortable atmosphere 😊 We were a little bit chilly so could potentially do with more heating but still a great place nonetheless!

I booked here as a venue for my 30th birthday party, and we had a great time! Will definitely be back!

I recently hosted my baby shower in the private event space at Wine & Wallop in Prestwich and it was absolutely perfect! The space itself is fantastic, and the service was impeccable. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout the entire event. I can't recommend them highly enough! Even beyond the private event, I'm a huge fan of Wine & Wallop in general. It's a fantastic spot for a casual bite to eat or a coffee catch-up with friends. The food is always delicious, and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Thank you Wine & Wallop for a lovely experience whenever I visit!

After a long Christmas break my partner and I decided to go out for a roast, we had a booking but as soon as we arrived we were told that food stops in an hour and a half, to then be seated and told by a waiter there were no roasts left and…. No burgers (there are around 6 types of burgers) so all that was left were a few sandwich options. Very disappointing.

Wallop Prestwich is one of our favorite places in Prestwich. Friendly staff, good food and a great atmosphere are the reasons I choose this place every time.

The night was amazing! We hired the downstairs for a private event, and Jade was so helpful in arranging everything. The staff on the night were brilliant – they set everything up perfectly and their service was fantastic. The event went perfectly, the venue was great , and everything ran smoothly. I absolute love this place and what is not to love? Wide rooms, very positive vibe & great atmosphere: really friendly and welcoming. On Saturday, they accommodated a large group of people (we were about 30) and the service was still impeccable. And the fact that they were "running" a sort of October Fest Day was just a lovely surprise: nice German food and amazing German beers. Can you ask for more? ;-)

Lovely atmosphere ! The outdoor seating is warm and looks ace! Even more lovely is the staff who are always patient with me and my allergies. Many thanks to Joe who is able to make beer suggestions as soon as I get to the bar because he has remembered my various intolerances. Thank you! ps please continue to offer sweetener/steviol free non-alcoholic options. The hip-pop kombucha was the best!

My friends always take me there, when I am visiting them in Prestwich. I love the welcoming and friendly atmosphere, live music on Sundays, and great selection of beers. We always spend some quality time in Wallop, meeting both old and new friends. It has always been a pleasure. I recommend this place :-)

Had a really lovely Vegetarian breakfast. Wasn't sure when checked the reviews yesterday but wanted to give it a go and pleased we did. Food was lush, service was great. Really quite and chilled as it was a Monday afternoon. Might have to give it a try one evening as the outside bar areas looked lovely and it's quite a large place. Thank you 🙌🏼

Really delicious sunday roast, choice of chicken, beef, or both. Served with a really nice mix of well cooked veg. Been in here for brunch a few times (also good) but the roast was a very pleasant surprise.

Yes first time here thought would try but will not be going again they don't take cash only card if I would of been on my own I would of left but you should have the choice paying cash or card I prefer cash so no will not be going again

Been to Wine & Wallop on a quiet Tuesday four times with my toddler this year. 1st Visit - After sausage butty didn't arrive after 40mins, I had to leave as my toddler had reached his limit and was told they'd forgot to put the order through but had done a short while. Why not tell me? Luckily the sausage butty was ready to take away and they took it off the bill. 2nd & 3rd Visit = Great Service & Food. 4th Visit - Sausage butty arrived and was sausages were burnt/inedible. How could the chef serve it? A staff member gratefully apologised and new one arrived within 5-10 mins. The question now is why should return when i've only got a 50% success rate?

To call this place family friendly is an understatement. Good food and drink though it pays to check that food is available before you set out or order. Outdoor seating is a major plus during the summer, though inside is usually spacious and cool.

Nice and friendly atmosphere always

One of the best places in Prestwich, been there more than once. If you are visiting Prestwich like me, this is the number one go to. Exceptional service and great atmosphere.

We were there last Sunday. I don't blame the staff who tried their best, but management left them woefully understaffed. Our meal took about an hour to come, and there was queue out the door for the bar at one point. We even had to correct the bill as they undercharged us.

Every time I go in here the bouncer follows me around, he tells me I can’t stand up and have to sit down and on Saturday he let me in btw I was on my own drinking a pint and then he then tells me to leave for no reason what so ever, the only think he could come up with was I was wearing a tracksuit yet 70% of others in there was also wearing a tracksuit…. Typical same old bouncer who thinks he can bully people

came in Saturday night for a few drinks. The place is lovely and has a nice atmosphere. The only let down was the man on the bar came across quite ignorant as we were ordering our drinks. He didn’t speak one word to us at all and just looked very unhappy to be there. I suppose we all have our bad days. We did however, come back the next day for breakfast which I will say was probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had and the service was exceptional this time. The lady who served us was attentive, polite and nothing was too much trouble. We liked the small touches such as the bottle of water provided and the biscuit with the coffee. Will definitely return. :)

What a wonderful venue to hold a do at! We had a surprise do in the basement. All the staff are fantastic, a massive thank you to Jade especially - nothing was a problem, extremely helpful and very chilled! Allowed to take our own food, decorate the room as we pleased and Matt even cleared up for us. Highly recommended Wine and Wallop for venue hire. Thank you for making everything so easy - everyone had a fantastic time 😌😌

Called in today for lunch, had the vegan burger, it was absolutely delicious. My companion had the all day breakfast which he enjoyed. Friendly service and a great atmosphere, as always.

Food can vary as they often have different menus on but we've never been disappointed! We've had chicken wraps which were great and the burgers below which were delicious. The brunch offer has been nice but not as good as the other food. Been here as a couple and in groups of ~15 and it's always been good service and a good atmosphere.

27/01/24: Vocation Brewery: Death by Cherries sour 09/07/23: it's been a while but so glad to be off work and enjoying the chilled open mic night vibes again! Great sesh tonight! 06/06/23: very quiet tonight, but enjoyed a Guinness and some chilled music. Not warm enough for outside, and sadly the new BBQ station wasn't up and running. Must remember food is only 10am-4pm, and Quiz nights are Thursday at 8pm. 19/02/23: really disappointed tonight, it was like a full moon had happened. 2 quite disrespectful groups. The first some oil riggers, let back on shore after 6 months, drinking as though they'd never seen it before. The second just shouting to each other and then managed to smash 3 glasses in the space of 5 minutes, which they found hilarious. Tarauds Open Mic nights are usually spot on, but tonight we had to reassure 2 participants that the crowd is not usually that disrespectful. February 2023: open mic night still going strong! September 2022: another photo & video update. The usual great Sunday Open Mic Night vibes! Such a varied mix of artists but also a few regulars too! May 2022: loving the Sunday vibes with Open Mic Night, organised by Taurud. Great artists performing an eclectic mix each week from 7pm., although live music starts at 5pm. Ends with a jam session. The highlight over the last couple of weeks has been Mark Shepherd on guitar and Psypirate Josh playing a Sitar. Some great vocals, harmonies and a little bit of spoken word.

We went last night for the first time, there was a group of 6 of us ( Sat 9th Dec ) and it was a great atmosphere. Very busy, great vibe, the DJ was really good and loads of people dancing. We all agreed we would defo go back!

This has become our go to place in Prestwich. Staff are friendly and there’s a great atmosphere on Saturday nights. The regular DJ is good and plays great music. Looking forward to another visit this weekend!

Lovely spacious place perfect for a midweek cake & coffee and catch up, especially those with prams and babies. However they really need to fix the disabled loo/baby change as there is no lock. No comment on food as they were not serving it when we went in

We didn't eat here...but this is a message to you guys (not sure how else to broadcast this): the place only offers Sunday lunch now. They no longer serve food on any other day. The bar guy told us when we nipped in for food a few days ago. Their kitchen is only open Sunday.

Such a solid place with a really good outdoor area too, I'd highly recommend it to all!

Disappointing Sunday roast. We were asked how we liked our roast beef cooked – pink or well-done, and like any normal human being, we asked for pink. Yet, the beef arrived overcooked. It was also drowned in Bisto-tasting gravy that was excessively salty. The only redeeming element was the root veggies, which was not what we came here for. Additionally, we attempted to book a table by calling the number at least six times during trading hours, but no one answered. Why bother putting a contact number on the website if it's not going to be answered? At least they’re dog-friendly, I guess? Edit: After posting my review several weeks ago, a member of staff named Racheal responded asking me to reach out, but has since been ghosting me – I guess it’s just for show.

I come in here regularly for drinks. The staff are really friendly and there is always a great atmosphere. There's a massive selection of drinks and a lovely beer garden for warmer weather. I tried the Sunday dinner a few weeks ago, there was 2 vegetarian options. I had the cheese and onion pie, I was surprised at how well it went with a roast. Will definitely be back for food, and more drinks!

Came here with 4 adults and one child. We all ordered Sunday lunch and we could not believe all the food arrived cold ,we sent it back to be warmed up and to our disappointment it arrived back cold. We also ordered extra gravy thinking it would add some warmth to our Sunday lunch but due to our disappointment the gravy arrived cold. We did tip the staff as it was not their fault the food arrived cold and I am sure the serving staff noticed as well as the chef that we had sent the food back . Even my granddaughter commented on the food being cold and not nice and she is a 8 year old. Therefore we would definitely not eat here again.

Great room for hire. The downstairs function room that wine and wallop have is brilliant. Comfortably allowed 50 guests sat down with more space for standing. Aux lead to connect to for music, private bar and ability to cater yourself or choose from their menu. Staff are very friendly and helpful, they prepared two vats of tea and coffee for us. Terrible service, long waits for food and drink. We clearly got forgotten about and basic things like napkins/sauces not even offered. When mentioned on leaving, barman says "it's bar service not table service". I did order at the bar, but it'll be the last time!

Arrived on a Tuesday morning to be told they don’t do food any more Monday or Tuesday and it was on the website ( it isn’t! Or on social media). Was told we could have coffee and cake. We had a drink. Nobody came over in the 2 hours we were there to ask if we wanted anything else. Decor is ok. Not much atmosphere.

Slow service and most items on the menu were not available. Waited over 20mins to be served. When asked about the Sunday Roast I was told it is only a winter dish and not served in the summer which I thought was strange. I ordered the fish finger sandwich and when it came, it was just batter and no fish in it at all. Very disappointed

Disappointing first visit. Yes it was Carnival weekend but plenty of time to prepare for the rush. Two of the dishes were not available, so opted for the cheeseburger and drink which we were not told beforehand we would have to wait up to one and a half hours for!! No drinks offered whilst waiting and no update on what was happening. I asked after nearly an hour where our food was, and was told they had pushed our order to the front of the queue. It was only a burger and chips. Didn't see anybody else eating? Lovely member of staff who served us, but just not good enough. Food was disappointing.

Recently had my 30th birthday party in the bar downstairs at wine and wallop. All it took to rent the room was a deposit which was returned to me in full. It’s a really cool space and the manager Andy was very flexible in allowing me freedom with certain elements of the party (I was allowed to bring my own beer pong table and he arranged for some cheaper cans of lager to be ordered for the games; I was allowed to play my own music via using an aux lead and have my own music playing at the party). Also, without request they placed birthday decorations around the room which was a lovely touch! Would definitely consider having any further events here.

Went in today, the place was very quiet with no more than 10 people. Four of us ordered drinks and a main, waited 45 minutes and then found they forgot my order. Got a refund for my main and left. Won’t be going back again.

It's like waking into the tardis. So much room inside...and outside ain't too bad. Right up there in the Prestwich pub trail for me and my family.

7/5/23 Went back again today, just for drinks this time, there was a BBQ lit outside cooking some tasty burgers, don't know if this is a regular thing (I hope it is) or if it was just for the coronation. Being a fan of Top gun, I had the Maverick IPA, it was very nice. There was some pictures of old groups on the wall which gave it an interesting look, we tried to guess them but could only name a few. All day breakfast was amazing last time we were here.

Unless it’s open mic the place is awful. One room space is taken up with a load of rubbish and they never have anything on tap. Plus on open mic night bar staffs friends come and talk over all the acts. Toilets are disgusting and general hygiene isn’t worked on unless there is an inspection

Loved it. Myself, my partner and my daughter went so a range of ages, and we all loved it. Bar staff were so friendly and helpful alongside being knowledgeable too. There was a band on and they were great too.

No clarity on website or menu about hours which they serve food. Sometimes it's all day, sometimes it stops at 4pm. Fries sometimes included, other times charged extra. Tables generally left uncleared. Shame really, has potential.

I had a really lovely impression of the place as I walked in. The ambience is gorgeous, lovely decor and deceptively large space with lots of very comfortable seating areas. Beautifully lit with lots of nice ambient lighting from the windows on two sides. The food was fantastic. I had a Buddha bowl, and it came Beautifully presented, and was a really good feed, with a whopping big serving of greens and perfectly cooked veggies. Pricing was very fair for the quality of the food. Not cheap, like your local cafe, but not a rip off- just right. The service was a bit on the average side, which didn’t totally fit with such gorgeous food and ambience. Just a bit indifferent, but that could have been for a number of different reasons - perhaps they were having a bit of a bad day (we all do!) Overall, another great find in prestwich village and will definitely be back.

Great atmosphere, stunning setting, great staff.

Quite a nice bar. Spacious with a lot of nice wood panelling inside. Drink prices not too bad for Prestwich, but it's card only . Good selection of drinks & special offers at Happy hour. The French Martinis were superb.
