Not too busy but I’m still waiting for my food as I write this, half an hour and counting

Use regularly and find the staff very friendly and helpful- even when busy ! Cobs unmatched and great choice . Coconut latte is a must and as you can see empty plates scrumptious😉

Slow service. Making hot drinks one at a time, long queues & waits. Limited food options, particularly, no cake. Overpriced prepacked flapjacks, treble price of in supermarkets. For a venue catering for walkers, cyclists & runners would expect more choice of snacks/light bites, & cake.

Service always seems ridiculously slow when I visit here. It was not even busy today!

We (family of 4) had lunch here yesterday. It was busy and there was a queue but we were impressed how well the staff dealt with all the customers. They were friendly and efficient throughout despite the warm and muggy weather. The food was excellent and we would come here again if in the area.

Nice spot. Have coffee there regularly. WC near. They do a loyalty card for coffee, you get the ninth one free. The bike shop is now closed (June 2024).

Been here loads of times whilst walking around the reservoir and it is normally always a terrible service. Today it is very quiet hardly any customers and yet waited ages and ages just for a simple bacon roll. No excuse to say short staffed and it is not a busy day. If there was another refreshment option I wouldn’t use this cafe.

Edit…. Since speaking to the manager as we have been back, it seems that it was just an extreme busy day and service has been fab since. Time restraints for us just means perhaps we need to rethink about school holidays when we know it will be busy. We have been coming here every week for the last 2 years and today was..... Terrible!!! Yes it's half term and the weather is nice but this happens every half term. Queue was huge!! And slow! We had an hour lunch break and ended up with 5 mins of the lunch break left and had to ask for the food to be take away after chasing it because people were behind us were being given their food first! We've always been impressed with the speed and friendliness of the service but not today! And after a fair size price increase too!! Will be trying somewhere else for our lunch next week!

The Park Bistro is one of those places you’ll want to return to time and again. Set in the glorious surroundings of Brixworth Park, you’re guaranteed a warm welcome, the staff are engaging and helpful, there’s an excellent range of good-value food, drinks and ice cream on offer - the coffee, in particular, is exceptional - and there’s a really friendly vibe about the place that makes it an ideal place to relax and unwind.

My local. Wonderful place to go for a walk and the food is great also. Those people complaining about long waits for food or bad toilets... there isn't a huge amount of staff at this park. If you go to a busy place, expect to wait. Don't complain, be better. They're doing there best.

Zero healthy options other than smoothies. Food is often burnt (fish and chips). They have removed the only salad on the menu that was our only go to meal here. Smoothies are really nice.

Very slow and not friendly staff. I was waiting nearly half an hour for tea and coffee. Ridiculous...

It was pretty busy a queue formed outside the open bistro doors. It was Easter Saturday. We ordered and took our drinks to a table, she would bring our Four filled bacon/ sausage or sausage cheese and onion bap, we waited patiently they were very busy serving. After ½ hour we noticed people around us all eating, we still hadn't been served ours. I then queued to ask why we didn't have our hot baps. Eventually they brought us a tray of filled baps, not ours as the fillings weren't correct. They would have to remake them, so we accepted the tray. The baps weren't freshly cooked the fillings weren't cold but not hot. Our lunch was tasty but it was a pity our order had been given to another table somewhat earlier. We didn't receive any further response, apology or offer of another hot drink, we had finished our drinks almost 50 minutes before. We'll probably visit again but certainly will check the order is taken and check back within 10 minutes.

40 minute wait for a bowl of chips. A joke, luckily I had an iced coffee so it was already cold. Tasted ok when it arrived though.

Dropped in for ice cream for toddler, service to the till very slow, but ice cream served fast after. Main point is price of ice cream, £3.15 a scoop is quite pricey, but then charged 30p extra at the till for no reason (asked but server was confused).

Service slow. Getting an order wrong for someone in front of me doesn't help. Decided not to wait any longer.

Great customer service and good seating options. Delicious breakfast toasties and really good quality coffee. Lovely view too!

Ordered 2 bacon rolls, and a cheese and pickle sandwich. Took just over 40 minutes to arrive, and pretty sure others who ordered after me received their order first. No food options for children. Edit in reply to the owner: I was not asked if we were going for a walk, and after ordering stood by the collection area waiting. I asked about food options for children and told there were none.

Nice eating place . We did not have a meal,just a snack. What we had was good.

Lovely lunch time visit. Sat inside as dog friendly. Nice and warm on a February day. Had a tea and coffee, plus some sandwiches. Excellent selection of food. Clean and tidy. Good buzzer service so you don’t have to stand and wait for food

Mens toilets was disgraceful with pee all over the toilet also the toilet seat with previous stains which has not been cleaned properly for over a week, looks like it and all over the floor in the men's toilets. The toilets outside is much cleaner than here. The food and drinks are expensive which is not fair during the crisis living. The only positive is the ice cream was nice. But I'm still keeping this review as 1 star as I was appalled when the men's toilets was not hygienically clean. I'm not editing this review to higher star as business owner wants me to up it, so it doesn't affect their business, but they need to learn from their negative reviews instead of telling people to edit the review which is negative. You deserve 1 star so you can improve in this matter. By the way to the owner who reads this, I'm not making your business heavily impacted but you need to improve so I gave you this negative review also I think this review is 100% fair.

Great park bistro. Food and coffee were top. The waiting is frustrating but worth it.

Nice cafe, but the staff don't seem to understand about service and struggled to communicate how and when you would actually get the things we paid for.

The washbasins in the toilets are not working and haven't been for weeks. The seats particularly in the conservatory are filthy. Dogs sit with owners and so there are muddy pawprints everywhere. But if you can put up with that the staff are a delight and the coffee and food excellent. When paying the customer cannot see the amount being charged. Isn't that illegal? Ask for a receipt P.S. Thank you for fixing the taps in the toilets and cleaning the seats

First time visit. Really nice drinks Reasonably priced plenty of seating inside and out. Pleasant staff. Will go again.

Ideal place to hang out with family and friends.

This was our first visit here. The coffee was lovely but could have been hotter. Staff very friendly, and quick to clear the tables. Atmosphere was very friendly. Would definitely go again.

A gorgeous strong iced coffee and modern inside, staff were friendly and quick service.

Lovely location and good friendly service, however the bacon rolls we ordered were awful. We both took one mouthful and left the rest. Think it was margarine that made them taste not very nice.

If you are walking round the country parks, i would suggest bringing a picnic. Was not busy on a Friday morning,but took unusually long to be served, and then to get the food, which was nice but nothing special. £28 for two coffees, two cold drinks and two bacon rolls

It’s always a treat to come here. For a pre-walk boost, the coffee can’t be beaten – it’s seriously the best coffee for many, many miles around. And for a post-walk reward, the toasted sandwiches are simply fantastic. The toasted teacakes are pretty good, too. We’ve yet to try the pizzas, but they look amazing. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and the service is speedy. Highly recommended.

i visited the Bistro today as i usually do on a sunday . The staff are lovely and friendly but the service can be quite slow. There wasn’t much of a queue but i probably waited 15 minutes for a coffee to take away. Last week when i visited i waited for a while then left because the queue wasn’t really going down very fast. The cake and coffee are really nice but please can you speed up the service.

Very friendly atmosphere a great place to relax at the end a walk, a cycle or a play in the playgrounds. New layout very pleasing.

Excellent food and service at reasonable prices. Me and my son had the 8oz Aberdeen Angus burger after a bike round the lake. Very tasty indeed.

We often visit the Park bistro and have generally had a good level of service. Today however was terrible, the two males behind the counter had no idea how to serve customers. I noted several people who had been waiting for food ( one lady said for over 30 minutes) when it got to my turn I ordered 2 coffees and 2 pieces of sponge cake. The response was "what kind of cake is that?" I pointed out the large Victoria sponge right in front of him and "that kind of cake" to which I received a grunt. I paid for my order and joined the queue of waiting customers. The other male couldn't get the coffee machine to work and had to get the female staff member from the kitchen to sort it out. Eventually after about 10 minutes I was served 2 coffees and when I enquired about the cake I was informed " oh yeah I forgot" watching him attempt to get 2 pieces of sponge cake onto a plate was like a Fawlty towers episode. When I did get to sit down the coffee was tepid at best I couldn't face having to wait another 15 minutes so just drank it. The cake however was excellent! Generally as I say the staff are very good but these two need training!!

If you're hungry better to go elsewhere - 35 minute wait for a toasted sandwich in an empty cafe by which time coffee was cold.

A lovely country park with a nice cafe

After a walk around the park on a glorious autumn afternoon we felt like a mug of tea, so we called in at Park Bistro. Great mugs of tea and as great was the fact they are earthenware and not cardboard or polystyrene, as so often in this kind of cafe, served by considerate, friendly staff.

Lovely, welcoming place with good, well-presented food and plenty of vegan options.

It was a busy lunch time and so there was a bit of a wait but the food was reasonably priced and very tasty. However the staff all of them were phenomenal. They couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. Considering how busy they were they still paused to help. If I was picking a country park based solely on its Café this would be it.

Great place to stop and chill out after a good walk around Pitsford. The sausage rolls are amazing, the coffee is incredibly good!

These days this cafe always serves great food and coffee (new owners in recent years). Coffee is locally roasted and you can buy it in the bistro to take home. Iced coffee was welcome on this visit and we tried the food- we were not disappointed. Good portion size for lunchtime and reasonably priced. Chips were amazing and crisp but fluffy inside.

Great coffee, luke warm sausage roll, nice cake. Nearly about £7.50 in total. Not too bad. Ice creams looked good.

Unfortunately no Vegan cakes at this place, very disappointing in this day and age, especially when out cycling, although I was offered a tea cake. The coffee wasn't great although they did have oat milk

Limited selection sometimes available, depending on the time of your visit. Always a queue but staff are very polite and friendly.

Service was good after a long wait, there wasn't even that many people in the cafe but the staff were very unorganised...

Nice food and reasonable prices. Can eat in or outside.

They keep moving the tables and chairs around, none of which match and are usually not very clean. They have also shut the "conservatory" part again, which is a shame. Not as good as it use to be.

The ice cream was delicious and the customer service was great

While there can be a bit of a wait for food, the chips are well worth the wait, and it is a great place to stop whilst on a walk! Just remember to bring change for the car park as they do charge for cashback at the café.

After a stone cold cappuccino has to be swapped, I waited 35 minutes for a bacon roll. Once the bacon roll came it looked like someone had took a bit out of the top of the roll and upon letting the shift supervisor know, no compensation was offered. Even after I said that my daughter, other half and grandparents had all finished their food and drink - they were reluctant to offer me anything. I insisted that the wait warranted a free coffee. 🙄

Great cafe to stop at when at Pitsford. Love going there food is good and has a simple but nice menu and the prices aren't too bad. They sell ice cream too

wonderful place after a lovely walk with my dog, my friend and her collie. service was great, especially from the girl with colourful hair and the guy wearing a plaid shirt making drinks. would come again

The bonus is that you have to pay for parking here BEFORE knowing what service might be available or what food is still on. Hot food stops at 15:30, not even waffles, despite the sign still up offering them agreed to laté + decaf and a fruit bun with cream. No decaf so hot chocolate instead Paid Bun brought out without clotted cream... Non left Still waiting for drinks Drinks eventually, but very hot and 10 minutes before closing 6 minutes before closing..... Still to bot to drinks So £12.30 for a bun, and 2 drinks..... butter, bit of squirty cream (my idea) And the potholes around here and in Northampton will cost me even more

Painfully slow service by a team who have no awareness of how long customers are waiting. No sense of urgency... Very, very poor

Try their 'signature bacon bap', we did today and it's the best we have tasted for a very long time! The cafes under new ownership, new seating outside, worth trying again, in the sun.

Nice to stop halfway around the reservoir for a cuppa and a pretty good homemade sausage roll, waiting time for food can be a little longer than you'd expect, staff are friendly enough but all staff were very young and seemed a little unorganised, prices not too bad.

If you’ve got 45 mins to spare to wait for a coffee, this is the place for you! Painfully slow wait even for a coffee, the staff all seem half asleep and then after all that the sausage roll is burnt 😂 bring a picnic don’t waste your time in here! - thanks for the reply, after reflection i was probably a little harsh, however I think the staff should be re trained or the ordering system needs to be re jigged as there wasn’t that many people waiting but seemed to take forever to order, then 45 minute wait on food which I’d only expect in a very busy restaurant.

A perfect cafe, the staff were lovely, friendly, polite and very professional, we had tea and toasted teacakes, delicious 😋 We sat in the conservatory so enjoyed the views around us. It had lovely outside seating too, but we were sheltering from the rain that day. Ideal spot for a family day out, a romantic day or a lone stroll day out!

Poor service, poor design layout of queuing and food layout. Poor covid space and services I. E coffee collection clash/mixed in with queue, ice cream order, poor waiting time for food order, poor quality drink... Taste watery weak coffee warm to cold chocolate. The whole thing is a mess. Queue took 20 mins service, 15 minute drink collection, food order 30 minutes. Never again

Expensive food and drink. Excruciatingly slow service. Seems like each member of staff, of which I saw 3 or 4 would take an order at the checkout then fulfil that order leaving the cash register unattended and a long queue of people waiting. The main issue was the making of coffees which took some time. I feel like one member of staff should of been on the checkout at all time taking orders and one person should be making the coffees. This way people are not waiting to long to be served. Especially if they only have some cold drinks to pay for!

Staff was wonderful and the place was good, i visited a couple weeks back. However, i was handed my drink and one of the workers or supervisor (not entirely sure who) passively, as if almost snached my drink and demanded to remake it as it was supposedly not up to standard. Personally, i didnt particularly mind though i wasn't even able to try it, i think it was slightly rude and embarrassing on the cafes behalf. I wouldn't have made such a situation out of it, if it didn't cause me to be late for an occasion on that day.

Great to finally see a modern touch in this individual location!! Southern fried chicken burger was on the money.

Prices are too high. Man in charge was seen by me and several others littering. Come on guys, get your act together.

Lovely location, the staff are friendly and the interior design is good! Having said this, i cant give it more than 2 stars . The price is extortionate for the food/drink you receive. Angry shouting can be heard from the kitchen, which isn't welcoming. Truly upsetting as its not how i remember this café. Will not be in a rush to visit again.

Beware price gouging!! Got two bottles of drink and a ice cream and was charged £8!! I even had to check with my bank to make sure it was right!! Complete rip off!!

You'll grow a beard before you get served

Due to the covid the queue was quite a long wait, the staff were under constant pressure but coped well. We only had coffees and they were decent enough and reasonably priced. The only thing we agreed on was that the cost of the car park is a bit steep, with the cheapest option being 4 hours and a £3.20 bill for the pleasure. I'm sure for the people who want to walk or cycle around the various trails it's a justifiable expense but for a quick cuppa it's a little bit steep. Disabled badge holders are not exempt from the charges or even discounted either.
