Great local pub. Good food and choice of drinks.

Cannot recommend enough, food was so delicious, hearty and fresh. The staff (Ellie, Beth and the chef George) were amazing, everyone in our party gave the food 10/10. Lovely atmosphere and will definitely be back.

What a wonderful find! After a good 3 hour walk we were ready for something to eat & drink. We sat outside & the young waitress/bar lady couldn't have been any more pleasant. Our food was brought out to us & the Sunday roast was absolutely delicious & plenty of it. The prices were very good too. Highly recommended & we will definitely be back!

Edit 2024: Visited again, had a stunning meal. Big thanks to the young lady’s behind the counter, one who took our last minute over the phone before the kitchen closed!! They were all stars and super friendly this evening. 2022: The food was so nice and quite filling. The conservatory where we ate was extremely pretty and outside looked like the perfect place to sit in the sun. Our server (Carol i think) was extremely friendly!

Came several times with my other half and a group of friends from church. We had tables in the old library room. Staff were very friendly and the food was great. They have an "over 60's" menu with smaller portions at a reduced price for those with lesser appetites. I had a steak instead. The pub is very popular and was crowded but the food was great and came fairly quickly.

Great place to eat or meet up with friends. Staff are always brilliant and we always get a warm welcome. Dog friendly and accessible and I personally like this pub, restaurant. I always feel relaxed and valued here. Keep up the good work guys, you are awesome.

First Visited this pub on the way back from foxton locks we were just stopping for a drink but ended up eating. So we decided to have our monthly ladies that lunch meal here. The girls loved it the over 60s light lunch is amazing value and we squeezed in a bottle of wine. The place was packed but the service was excellent. We will be returning.

This was the first time I'd eaten in the George on a Friday night. What an absolutely fantastic experience. The Food was outstanding, the service was brilliant and the atmosphere was wonderful. Nothing but laughter and respect for others. The bar staff were great and I only waited 15 seconds to be served at a busy bar. I cannot find any fault with this pub, first impressions last and the first impression of this pub, its customer focused, making sure each customer is given the gold standard of service.This was the first time, it was a delight to give the staff a tip, well deserved. I will return to enjoy the delights , atmosphere and service of The George Brixworth.

We went at about 2 PM on a Saturday. Had a lovely huge lunch of bacon brei toasted baguette with chips and salad! My friend who is vegetarian was delighted with her own menu.

Had a lovely Sunday Roast to celebrate a family birthday. Considering there were more than ten of us, the service was spot on and everyone was friendly. The food was really delicious. I opted for the roast beef which was cooked perfectly! My only gripe was the vegetables being a little tasteless but other than that I was very satisfied. Would recommend!

I had a few pints here with some friends. We sat outside on a warm evening and there was a great atmosphere. I was a bit peckish so I ended up having dinner here and it was pretty good.

As much village hub as village pub. Great food, plenty of choices, changing "specials" mean there's always something different.

Went to the George inn after visiting Pitsford. So glad we went, we were welcomed by a lovely lady and also served food by her, she is so nice. We had Seniors meals 2 courses for £7.50 how good is that, food was great also. Our experience for a 1st visit was fantastic. Well done to the management and staff.

Went here for our anniversary, my steak was over cooked and they took my whole meal away but it meant I watched my wife eat then I ate. Far from ideal, they ran out of ribeye so I had to have sirloin but still got charged for ribeye. The salad was really gritty could have done with a wash! Such a shame are here before and the food was perfect. Probably never go back again after that poor effort. And just a small but serious point when I went to the bar to complain about my steak the bar man was tipping peanuts into his had and eating them!!! My wife has a server nut allergy 🤔

Had the pensioner three courses, and it was amazing, very classy, not just thrown on the plate. Every time I have even here,the food has been of a very high standard. Once again a wonderful meal they never disappoint cannot recommend highly enough.

More than 5 star. Lovely bar personnel. We stayed the night in the car park in our motorhome. A couple of nice beers in pub. Unfortunately they don't do food on Mondays. So they advised us to go to the Chinese over the road. Which we did and the food was lovely. Gotta go back sometime and have a meal in the pub.

One of the worst pubs, rude staff and made feel unwelcome. A very unprofessional pub, would not recommend to anyone.

We have recently moved into Brixworth so have eaten at the George a few times. Generally the food is good and portions are decent. We had an early dinner on Saturday evening. They are pretty good at steaks but the chicken strozzapretti on the specials menu wasn’t strozzapretti first of all, but tagliatelle. The sauce was a creamy sauce with pieces of chicken, but not enough sauce so was really dry and not very tasty. I left most of it. The starters were good though the seafood basket had a fish cake in it which could have done with the sweet chilli sauce that was served with the separate fish cake dish. Nachos are good there too. The girls serving were friendly and helpful. We will be back but I won’t order pasta again.

Lovely country village pub that is beautifully decorated inside and out. Food and service is 10/10 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Very good value for money 👍🏻 I am coeliac and need to eat gluten free and the menu has lots of choice. Would highly recommend the George 😊

Wow! Packed pub throughout, great to see. Good staff, good drink selection though teased us with Red Stripe glasses whilst they don't serve Red Stripe. Good food, good company.

The food is average to great ! Stuff members are great to ! They split now, in the right of the entrance is dinning and the left is the bar, pool table. No smoking inside witch is perfect for non smokers like me.

We were a group of 6 looking for lunch on quite a tight schedule. Karen listened to the problem, and suggested that we phoned through our order earlier in the morning. A helpful member of staff took our order over the phone, and the food was ready for us 10 minutes after we sat down. The meals were tasty, hot and well-presented, and the service was excellent.

This is my local but must say what fantastic service and value for money this place is. It has a great atmosphere and superb selection of ford and drink.

Had dinner last Sunday, all great, fitted us in last min. Staff were so helpfull and unlike most pubs they knew what the veg was 😁 best part was the melt in your mouth meat.
