The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

This was not good pizza, the bases were like bake at home supermarket bases, no rise or colour to them. The nduja and hot honey topping was okay, but the crab, prawn and mussel pizza was awful - it was somehow dry and cloying at the same time, and the prawns still had tails on. Portions also very small. I don’t mind restaurants that aren’t Italian doing imaginative things with Italian food, but this marketed itself as Italian but was not authentic in anyway; it felt like a knock-off pizza express. That said, service was prompt and friendly.

El lugar perfecto, en un edificio georgiano muy grande. Llegué un poco temprano y Dan y su equipo era muy acogedor y amable. La comida era perfecta, bien presentada y deliciosa y los tres miembros más jóvenes de mi familia realmente disfrutaron de su comida al igual que los tres adultos. Estaba en una excursión de un día a York, pero sin duda volveré a visitar.

This store needs deep cleaning desperately! I don’t know when was the last time it was cleaned! The floors, the sitting area everything is sticky!

Although portions could be bigger, my Traditional Bolognese with a side of salad was delicious, fresh and served quickly. Amazing quality of food. Restaurant was full and the atmosphere was great. Very friendly manager and waitresses today. Decor and vibe is warming and inviting. Only drawback and negative for me is the chicken - I’m not too comfortable with the method in which they are sourced. Otherwise an amazing Italian themed restaurant!

Poor service from front of house. The place is half empty, it's 2.10pm, and he won't be taking any walk ins until 2.30. Bad business as we were a group of 6 not to mention a bad attitude

I hesitate to write about just how wonderful this restaurant is because then the next time we’re in London, it will be overwhelmed with diners and we won’t be able to get a table. It’s so cozy and friendly; the food is delicious, simple Italian. Reasonably priced, comfortable, great food, great staff. It was our go-to restaurant in London!

Four of us called in on a walk up basis and although food was okay service was slow and the main focus seemed to be on preparing deliveries/takeaways to the detriment of those dining in. Surely the diners on site should be put first? Also, although not restricted to Zizzi's, I'm getting increasingly tired of delivery drivers congesting the entrance area of restaurants. The food was average. We had a salmon salad, calzone and two pizzas all of which were okay but felt like "production line" food. Also, it felt like service was fitted in when they could do it. In common with many things in the UK at the moment, it seemed expensive for the quality and service on offer. The restaurant did not seem to have the personnel resources to deliver a convincing dining experience.

Julianna the waitress was lovely. Food was great. Overall a nice experience as always at Prezzo.

Amazing staff a blond lady with ponytail and glasses very helpful as I love a pizza that isn’t long in the menu , she made sure the chefs help her too in order for me to have it . Thanks again

My mother and I popped in for lunch. Callie met us and could not have been more helpful. She was knowledgable about the menu. Service was prompt and friendly. We also met Lucy , her Manager. Such a welcoming and friendly team. They could not have done more to make our experience a positive one. Will definitely be back.

Ate here on a Saturday night and was very disappointed in my pasta dish it was tasteless. There was six of us and the two who had pizza said they were nice. The lady who served us was very helpful. It’s a shame as it was a nice clean restaurant.

As ever order with tasty food delivered promptly, effectively packed. We have ordered before & will be again.
