I usually go to this restaurant everytime I visit Manchester.. however I made a reservation and was refused entry by Roxanne with no valid reason as I had a booking confirmation and tables where empty she welcomed us by saying “ we are not taking you in” I’m still in disbelief and have emailed the restaurant directly and awaiting a response.

Last time we came I would give it a 5 star, however upon this visit, the server was glued to her tablet while taking the order, not looking at us once. The food was okay however the pizza was underdone on the bottom, flopping very easily and becoming chewy because of it. The lasagne was a little on the burnt side however it was still nice. We then had to wait 5-10 before the lady came over to hand us the bill where I mentioned the criticism which wasn’t really taken on board

Service was just awful. The waiter never smiled and was mumbling all the time. It took ages for us to get the bill and after that the girl just disappeared. She had an attitude and was rude when we asked if we can pay the bill. It ruined the whole experience

The staff is rude, we’ve been waiting to pay for 15 minutes. When we asked our waiter if we can pay, she looked at us up and down saying “i’m busy, wait please “ the last impression as a restaurant you get when a customer pays a bill, and it was nowhere close to satisfying.

I have been here a few times but my last experience was the one that will make me never come back again,waited 35min to be served and more 25min just for the bottle of wine to come already open to my table,manager doesn’t even bother with customers and always has a stupid excuse when asked for some help, as a business owner I really believe this place management needs a change, I have always enjoyed here but will never again recommend this place!

Service was absolutely appalling took 30 minutes for our order to be taken and when called over for the order to be taken the staff member wasn’t happy to be serving us Our order was then wrong and had to swap it and the food wasn’t the best tasting as was cold I’ve had a lot better for a lot cheaper

5 stars for the employer that helped to clean up the mess made outside of the restaurant last night. A girl dropped a bottle of perfume and all the glass shattered on the ground. The employer did not hesitate a second and started to remove the glass pieces while the girl who dropped the perfume started to walk away.

I visited this restaurant as my daughter had previously been with friends and enjoyed the food. We were greeted with a smile by a lovely waitress called Amber. She was polite and welcoming and seated us almost instantly. We were then served by a friendly and polite gentleman called Louis/Lewis. The food was delicious, came in great time and was well presented. The restaurant was clean and tidy, the staff gave 100% customer service and the food just topped it off for a perfect afternoon meal! Would recommend dining here and can’t wait to visit again.

My wife and I called into EST, The Orient, Trafford Centre for a mid afternoon meal. As we had not pre-booked a table we had to queue for 20 minutes before we were allocated a table. This was not a problem as we knew we would get a good meal as we had eaten here before. We passed on starters and chose Prawn Risotto and Meatballs (Polpette) for mains together with a bottle of water and a glass of fresh orange juice. Both meals were very good as always: hot, tasty and filling. The bill came to just over £34 so £39 with a tip. Worth a visit if you are shopping at the Trafford Centre but be warned that it does get busy if you are a walk in guest. Better to pre-book a table if you can.

What was a nice place to eat has sadly lost its edge. Menu very simple & food not up to old standard. Asked for a soft drink to start with & choice was limited. Food looked & tasted “mass produced”. One to be avoided.

Ordered ribeye steak and it was terrible every mouth full was just fat ,when spoke with man he said that's how a ribeye should be ,what a waste of £25.99 ,he really did not seem to care ,came home hungry, will never go again .

We visited Est on wednesday evening and our server Magda (i think her name was) she was so lovely and attentive and recommended her favourite dish to help us decide. She’s super chatty and friendly and is a credit to your team!

Myself and my wife went there to have some dinner and the staff ignored us completely and the restaurant wasn't even busy at all, they make us to wait at the entrance just to ignore us so I just have to walk away..I'm not happy with it..I'm not coming back again..

Very nice meal and was able to meet my dietary needs. I have gluten and dairy intolerance. So whilst the choices were limited, the food was delicious. Our server Magda was very helpful, attentive and checked all my requirements before we ordered.

Excelent service . Delicious pizza. Best kids menu with good portions and nicely presented dessert. Grand daughter loved hers.

The pan fried prawns in chilli, garlic,white wine and lobster sauce were absolutely fantastic I also had the house salmon salad and the salmon was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be returning as soon as Possible!

Atmosphere is okay for a shopping mall at lunchtime not a place you would go for an evening meal. Chicken salad was very good. Sea bream a little too spicy. Not too busy but we had to wait almost an hour for our food to arrive. If they had been full I could have accepted it but to see other couples getting food who had come in after us was disappointing. On balance we would not go there again

We ate here as the other restaurants were busy and had long waits. Because of this we thought maybe the restaurant is not too good if it isn’t busy. However, we thought the food quality was good and we enjoyed it. The drink size was larger than expected too. We ate a steak and a spaghetti dish and both were delicious. I imagine the wait for the service will probably get even longer if they get busier but since it wasn’t too busy the service was ok. The atmosphere was fairly pleasant, slightly crammed with tables and you are close to others but with the limited space I understand. Most restaurants have this. Lots of families so I imagine it’s a family friendly restaurant. Overall a fairly good experience with reasonable prices as well. I would go here again.

Came into Est last weekend after a long day of shopping. Lovely food and atmosphere, my partner and I both had the Lasagna it was absolutely delicious! Amber who sat us to our table was particularly lovely and welcoming. She gave us good recommendations for food…we will definitely return!

Nipped in for a quick dinner to save cooking later. Ordered lasagne. Don’t know about you but I expect meat in a lasagne, quite a bit of it to be fair. If there was a teaspoonful of meat in mine I’d be very surprised. Poor.

King prawns were floating in oil. Pasta was ok but, as with the starter, was floating in oil. Not great at all though drinks weren’t bad and were priced ok.

Honestly 1 star is kind. My friend found hair in her food. Ate about 1/4 of the meal by which point she didn’t want an entire meal remade as she wasn’t going to eat that…not that that was offered to us. We got a £5 discount on the food with hair in. No refund…? The service was shocking. We didn’t even receive an apology for the hair found and my friend left feeling unhappy. Wouldn’t recommend eating here to by honest.

My cousin, Charlotte and I, visited this establishment after a long day shopping for funeral clothes because our uncle died. To get away from the grief we thought we would whisk away to this cute Italian eatery. Nevertheless I wish I had died in place of our uncle instead of coming here. The service was shocking, no, ABYSMAL. The waitress was so rude we were waiting to order a side for 15 minutes when we were trying to talk to her and make eye contact to her. Additionally she was rude to a little child on the table next door to ours. We had to wait SO long to pay the bill. Understandably we didn’t think this service deserved to be tipped. However to our dismay when our waitress didn’t receive her tip, she looked disappointed. I am offended. As we run our own restaurant, we would never accept service like this. The food was also bland. My pasta was essentially what I could eat in student accommodation if I was skint but instead was overpriced. I hope justice is served as we WONT be returning.

Started off well , We were seated but that's about ad far as it went , 10 mind to get a menu and then sat for over 20mins and no drinks or order taken after asking twice if we could order we gave up and left, wasn't even that busy no kne waiting to be seated half tables empty no wonder really , staff were shocking no care for customer at all wouldn't be returning

The garlic bread was under cooked and a little too oily.Pasta had close to no flavour.Waiter gave us funny looks whilst putting the cheese on the pasta because we had a bit more cheese.

You don’t expect much when you eat at est est est other than university student grade food, but pls Trafford centre branch - Stop polishing cutlery out in the open restaurant. The constant clanging of metal on metal is absolutely awful. I’ve never seen a restaurant atmosphere ruined like at this place, the constant banging is insufferable.. if I could give -5 for atmosphere I would.

Popped in Wednesday with my wife and daughter. Had to send my daughters chicken and veg back. It arrived cold and clearly reheated. The chicken wasn’t fresh and the veg were soggy. How on earth did someone think, “let’s serve this!”. I gave my daughter some of my salad, which was average and took her somewhere else after. Very very poor!

We ordered the 3 plate tapas options each. I always order a carbonara when it is on the menu and it was delicious, but slightly watery. The lasagne was absolutely fantastic though and I would return just to try that again! Good value for money and the food is filling.

When queuing for a table, for atleast five minutes multiple members of staff walked past and didn’t even acknowledge that we were waiting, nevermind the fact that there was a queue behind us. However, Roxy who served us definitely made our experience much more positive. She was absolutely lovely and so accommodating. Food was perfect. Thank yo :)

I've been to the restaurant several times now, and I've never been disappointed with the food. The last time I went, besides the delicious meal, there was also fantastic service from our waitress named Magda. She was incredibly friendly and always had a smile on her face. It was a pleasure to chat with her. Additionally, she professionally recommended a meal that turned out to be exquisite. A solid 5+ for both the food and service!

The food here is genuinely pretty good, however, my meal had a small piece of plastic/rubber in it which I did actually begin to consume before realising what it was. I brought this up with the waiter and said what had happened but he didn’t seem overly surprised and took my plate away. About 5 minutes passed and he came back and said they’d take the dish off my bill. I’ve since contacted est to try and ascertain where the bit of rubber came from. As it went in my mouth I feel like I should at least be told where they believe it came from but I’ve had no response from them.

Magda, our server, was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. Food was beautiful, very tasty charcuterie board and pasta was amazing!!

Booked online. Which Friday or Saturday in Trafford is a must! As 6 couples waiting as we left at 7.15pm! Loved loved the sharing board cold meats n cheese! My prawn risotto was lovely, very tasty. But the downfall was my daughter’s gnocchi was so bland she was not enjoying so we ended up sharing. I did not find gnocchi tasty at all. Even the consistency wasn’t great. Should be a tomato sauce not cream- with potato. It just doesn’t work. Gave our feedback to the waitress. Also had to ask for another glass as it was filthy. Waitresses were friendly and atmosphere was okay. Overall average. Just don’t order gnocchi!

What a lovely Italian treat we had today. Cheese garlic bread or should say large Pizza. My husband had the meatballs+pasta, my son had Calebrese Pizza ( price includes a donation to a charity for everyone sold ) I had Mushrooms & Tallegio Pizza with Prosciutto added. Pizzas come uncut but your own Pizza wheel to use. My son & i actually could not eat all our Pizza so too some home each. 1 medium glass of Australian Chardonnay ( we are from visiting Australia ) 2 Cola all for under £80. Our waitres Katie was just wonderfully bright & bubbly. Thanks to all your team from kitchen to front of house, lovely dinning experience.

I came to this new Italian restaurant while shopping as it was new and wanted to try, however i was heavily disappointed from the beginning. To start with there was not one Italian staff there and the food as atrocious. I ordered the pollo milanese and they told me it doesn’t come with anything but a fried egg which isn’t even pollo milanese anymore. after a struggle i managed to change the meal to come with pasta but have to take off the egg. When the food finally came i found a burnt chip inside the chicken which was clearly old and left in the fryer. (my meal didn’t even come with chips), The pasta that came was watery and had no flavour. the table was filthy and didn’t even get an apology from the manager at the end of my meal. Very unprofessional and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Food was great and reasonably priced - I really enjoyed the gnocci. Loses stars due to poor service. The place was basically empty yet the waiter was very rushed and rude with us like he couldn't wait for us to leave! He didn't even have the decency to look us in the eye and was talking to another table in a different language as he served us. I would go to a different est again, but not this one with such an odious waiter.

Stumbled across here on a random visit to the Trafford Centre in between trips. Never heard of it before but the menu sounded good. Was seated very quickly by a lovely female manager (I didn’t see a name badge - sorry!) and then served by 2 lovely gentleman (I think one was called Artur). They were all really friendly & attentive… I didn’t wait long for anything. I had the burrata & prawn risotto which were both delicious. Would recommend.

Hadn’t been to Est Est Est for a while so we went on New Year’s Day. We were disappointed by the denial of the unclean glasses given to us. They had a repulsive smell and the explanation was diverted to the tap water being smelly. This was the explanation given to the waiter from the manager. The waiter provided new set of glasses and these were fine after pouring out the same tap water from the bottle. I had confronted the manager but he insisted that it was the tap water and not the glasses. There were also a few tables next to us that were not cleared.

We have been occasional visitors here for years. However this may change. We looked to see if they had an online booking system, but the website was very basic, just the menus and restaurant details. We thought they mustn't take booking - being in the Trafford centre, presumably most of their custom is passing traffic - so that made sense. We turned up at the front to find one group in front of us. The lady at the door addressed this large group, told them she may be able to accommodate them & went off to sort a large table. They stepped to the side, as they were being dealt with & we stepped forward. The greeter returned to the entrance desk a few minutes later & looked at me. "2 please." I said. She asked if we had a booking & I replied no. This is where our night out started to go down hill. "Then can you wait in line please." was her response. It was quite abrupt. I looked around me & was confused. I said that the other group were already being dealt with (which she knew as it was her who dealt with them) & we hadn't moved, we just shuffled forward when the first group stepped to the side. I said 'we are in the queue, they are being dealt with' & she again said you need to get in the queue & gestured for us to move behind the group in front of us who had stepped to the side & walked away. The family behind us (the only other people in the queue) asked what she had just said & I relayed it, which confirmed what they had thought they had heard. They were appalled & left to go somewhere else as they felt it was very rude - in fairness so did we, but we had come specifically to eat here. About 5 minutes later the large group were taken through. A few minutes later we were seated. Unfortunately, we were seated right next to an air conditioning unit in the wall at body height. It was pumping out cold air. This was the first cold night of the winter - frost outside, 1°- not a night to be sat in a cold air flow. When the waiter came to take our drinks order, we asked if he could turn the air conditioning down. He told us this wasn't possible, but moved us to another table 'inside' (it's all inside the Trafford centre, but these seats were inside the restaurant) . What we hadn't spotted was that 90% of the people eating inside where wearing their coats to eat. The air conditioning was blowing too cold in here aswell. I ended up putting my cardigan back on & my coat over my legs, as I had put a dress on to come out for the meal. We then waited & waited & waited. Eventually the drinks we had ordered before we were moved arrived & that waiter explained that our waiter had had a couple skip out on there bill & they had had to chase them down. So, we waited & waited & waited. The waiter for our tables came back after a while & he walked around, checked on the other tables, sorted out bills, all the things a waiter should do, but not for us. When a waiter came over with some food, both my husband & I politely, but quite clearly pointed out that we'd not ordered yet. A couple of minutes later he did come over to take our order. There was another long wait for our food, which if we hadn't already had 2 long waits, we wouldn't have minded. Now this isn't me being spoilt, when I say long wait... I watched a table be seated in the 'outdoor' section about five minutes after we placed our order, they were gone before we got our meal & yes they did eat! My husband really enjoyed his meal (prawn risotto). My meal (carbonara) on the other hand, was not great. The quality was that of a shop bought dish. The fresh carbonara is the reason we come back to this restaurant. Unfortunately, not any more. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. We did order dessert after having to wait for the waiter, who was now chatting to his colleagues over at the bar, to clear the dishes that I had eventually stacked to give a clear sign we were finished. And we had a very long wait for our dessert to arrive - so long that even our waiter (who had kept us waiting so much) went to look for them. All of this in a cold environment. If it had been warmer, we may not have minded so much, but I was now cold to the core. Our desserts were nice even though my husband's affogato didn't come together. The ice-cream arrived & then he had to [guess what!] yes, he had to wait for the espresso. The ice-cream was already half melted when it arrived. I believe in tipping for good service. I've worked in the service industry myself & I know tips make a difference, however we did not tip for this. It was not good service. All in all this was NOT the nice, romantic meal out we had planned. We are now looking for an alternative Italian restaurant to visit in the future. Sorry Est, you may have had a face lift, but you've lost your friendly charm.

Cacio E Pepe bites and burrata to start were delicious .. just lacked abit if seasoning ! the pasta mains were very simple and authentic, didn’t feel like we were sat in the trafford centre felt very cosy and good service too . Will return

On new years eve you'd expect some kindness from the host but not the case here. Incredibly rude host. Refused to seat us because he insisted that children would not be allowed inside eventho it was only 2pm and proceeded to sit people in line behind me. I know kids can sit inside during lunch as I've been here before with my son. Lazy and disgusting customer service on his part. Decided to leave and will not return if I see him working again. Avoid if you have kids. But if you're young females clearly you'll be sat right away.

Told to wait 10 minutes for a table, specified that we needed a highchair etc, 20 mins later they came and told us it's a half an hour wait and we aren't allowed a pram at the table, walked past a table with a pram and they said only certain prams are allowed, staff were unhelpful and rude, definitely would not recommend to families.

Food was nice enough not everyone felt that it was good. Lasagne was bland, Squid bland, my son enjoyed his meatballs. The risotto was nice, i had the seafood frutti pasta and it was nice just needed salt. Portions are large. Atmosphere is average. The service however is excellent!!!! Our waitress was attentive without being intrusive

8 days after eating here I received a duplicate charge on my card from the restaurant with no explanation. I've called and contacted them through their site but have had no response, and so am having to wait for my card provider to do a chargeback. Food was lovely but have ended up paying over £70 twice without authorising a second charge, and when I called up they said it had happened to other customers as well but couldn't explain why.

We popped in here for lunch whilst doing our Christmas shopping. As the restaurant opens at 12, we were one of the first set of customers entering the restaurant I ordered the carbonara and asked for chicken to be added, which was no issue at all. My boyfriend had the prawn and chorizo risotto and we shared a portion of garlic bread between us My carbonara was really tasty and filling but would have done with a touch more sauce- but that may jus be my personal preference. We were in and out quickly which is perfect for a shopping centre restaurant but we never felt rushed at all

Service was dealt with in a comfortable down to earth but professional manner and the food was the best pasta dish I've ever eaten (Frutti De Mare), fair prices without a compromise on quality

In Trafford Centre we had eaten in several fast food or restaurants before but 'est' is stands out above the rest. We ordered 'Mushroom & Tallegio' pizza which comes with tomato sauce base (instead of the usual white base), and 'Lasagne'. Both dishes were excellent and flavourful. The service was great and we were very satisfied. Highly recommended if you want to eat at Trafford Centre

Very poor service, waiter was more interested in speaking with a family at an adjoining table in their own language than taking our order, just left us waiting . Was constantly adjusting a bandage on his arm . Food was not value for money , spaghetti carbonara was mostly spaghetti with little else. ordered the bread platter , bread was totally stale but they did take that off the bill.

Probably the worst place in the Trafford Centre to eat, food lacks any flavour, amongst all our guest the only dish that was acceptable was the Prawn Starter, primarily as this was mostly melted butter and garlic, everything else lacked any flavour and even dishes that were the same were inconsistent, watery pasta dishes and no seasoning.

Don't have the calamari, it's edible but very chewy. Staff pleasant. Prices not too expensive but don't expect it to be a classy place. You may want to bring your own dessert fork... and be prepared for staff reaching over you... This place even fails to do pretentious correctly.

Don’t go here!! came here last night, my boyfriend got a meal with chicken. As he was eating he noticed the chicken was pink, we asked the waitress and she said ‘it’s normal it’s fine’, he’s now woken up in the middle of the night throwing up over food poisoning. So bad as we even asked about the food and was told it was fine! Never coming here again.

I ate here ages ago and found a hair in my food, the food quality was also average so I never returned. I thought I’d give them another try as they looked busy and they have stayed in business this long. Surprisingly, my impression hasn’t changed! How can you go wrong with garlic bread?! It was soaked in oil it made me feel sick as it was literally dripping as you picked it up. Ordered spaghetti Bolognese which also, how can you go wrong with? It tasted like a microwave meal, which usually taste better than this did, it was full of salt. We ordered the same mains and have both drank 4 glasses of water since leaving. Our glasses were dirty and, believe it or not, I found another hair in my food!! How is this possible?! Compared to other reviews, the service was fine. I heard the table next to us say they didn’t enjoy their food. I Wouldn’t go back again and praying I don’t have food poisoning as this is mentioned a lot in reviews….

Spaghetti Carbonara was served with pasta strips rather than ordinary pasta and smothered in gooey sauce which coagulated and soon went cold leaving an aftertaste which I couldn't get rid of. Bacon pieces (or whatever they were, lardons possibly) were chewy because of a lot of fat on the edges.

Went on my birthday to estesest Trafford with my partner for some brunch. The place was nice looking, clean and all the staff were smiling and polite. The food and drinks were really good and I even got a complimentary Happy birthday treat from there which was such an unexpected but very pleasant gesture. Special thanks to Magda who looked after us; she was really nice, cheerful, smiling, polite and funny. We will be coming back for more meals there. Thank you.

Staff ok. Food portions small, pasta undercooked. Partner ordered same meal as me but mine was twice the size. Baby size food menu unavailable. Menu not as good since it was changed. £31 for one coke and two pasta dishes. Used to be a favourite, won’t be coming back again anymore
