Zizzi - Westfield Stratford City in Newham

I had a lovely experience at this restaurant this weekend. Marco took care of us for the evening and was very attentive and accommodating. I would definitely recommend you visit the restaurant over the Christmas period as they have a very festive atmosphere.

Pleasant atmosphere, tasty pizza, good service, staff members are careful to details, Vinny did a very good job, creating a special vibe, that shots of lemonade with peach to the end was just we needed.

Food was good and hot. Service was absolutely terrible. We were ignored for long periods of time, had to ask to order, had to ask for condiments, had to ask to pay the bill, weren’t even offered dessert menu. They then tried to add a 10% service charge to our bill (without explaining) and made it very difficult for us to ask for it to be removed. The manager shouted at his staff in front of customers for the 2 hours we were there too.

My visit to Zizzi with my family was absolutely delightful! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a wonderful meal. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. This is a lovely restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were efficient and it was just what we needed a quick delicious lunch. My only criticism is I don't think tips should automatically be added but our waitress was good so we would have tipped anyway, it just makes it awkward for customers to not tip though as it's on the bill.

Me and my husband visited last week Friday to zizzi before going to the cinema. It was really busy but Vinny was quickly able to find us a table and the service even though it was packed was fast and attentive. Big shoutout to Vinny for the free pasta crisps and great recommendations like the King Prawn Spiedin.

We took my daughter and friends to Zizzi Stratford for a birthday dinner. The pizzas were amazing, and I loved my mushroom risotto. We brought a cake, and our waiter Vinny took his time to prepare it and to sing Happy Birthday. We had a fab time and will be back! Great service from Vinny and the team!

Outstanding! From the minute we walked through the door, we were made to feel so welcome. Vinny was attentive, but not overly, made some really good suggestions, he made sure everything was ok. SCAM, they must have surely taken advantage of the fact that I was a foreigner to charge me TWICE the payment for the menu by making me believe that the payment was refused and moreover by the MANAGER. I advise avoiding this restaurant. I told him that it would pass but they didn't want to know anything.

Marco the manager, and our service (forgotten his name) were super attentive. The ambiance was inviting, the environment was calm and friendly, the food was amazing! I literally ate myself sick. The dessert was supposed to be taken home but after one bite, it all went down into the full deep dark hole called my stomach. I usually take lots of photos but the food was so good, I forget until the end 😂😂 All round wonderful evening spent at Zizzi, Stratford.

Having nearly left because my daughter’s chosen meal was not available, Marco the manager came over and made a bespoke meal to satisfy my fussy eater. My hanging chicken skewer was amazing (only a starter but huge portion) and Marco did not disappoint with the tiramisu espresso 🍸❤️ thank you!

Extremely disappointed with the “ 6 layers Lasagne “; on the menu there is a picture of an actual 6 layers lasagne that looks amazing; what you actually get is a very Hot Pan on a plate with something that looks like a lasagne soup !!! Yes like a soup. See pictures attached!!

Visited with friends and had a nice relaxed meal, menu is wider than I remember from last visit with a fair Veggie choice which suited one of our group

We had a table pre booked but was still asked to wait 15/20 minute, can accept this as it was a Saturday night. After being seated the manger was the only person who could even take drink orders because of one person having an allergy. Can accept the food but not taking drinks orders was a bit much. We ended up waiting 40 minutes for any waiter to come and take our order. Was over an hour before we got our drinks. Within two minutes we had waiters coming to the table with wrong orders. We knew what we ordered but the waiter was adamant we were in the wrong, for him to take the food away. This happened three times, before our food came to the table. The waitress who brought the drinks did not know what they were and caused more confusion as we had to check our bill and make sure they were correct. The main food came before the starters. Even the children starters of raw carrots and cucumbers was brought out last thing, which is crazy as they should only take 2 mins to prepare. FOOD IS OVERPRICED for what it is, and not worth it. Not one staff member come and asked if anything was okay or if we needed anything, once we received our food, which we did. Simple things of getting cutlery was a hard task for the staff as they didn’t seem interested. Could understand if people at the table were being rude or disrespectful but this was not the case. The music played was also a bit out of character for an evening meal. Playing ‘The Streets, and Wiley.’ Seemed more like pub or party music. Would not recommend this Zizzi at all.

We had a discount code for two £5 regular pizzas. We paid an extra £2 to upgrade one of the pizzas (the longer one in the photo) but when cutting and comparing the pizzas the total size was pretty much the same. This was a bit disappointing. Regardless, the flavour was ok.

The food was okay. The restaurant was understaffed and had very bad service. The ingredients are not fully mentioned in the menu card. The staff was a bit rude and not at par. They added an optional team tip without even asking us which is really wrong. Never visiting them again. Not at all recommended restaurant.

Ordered food that I had had previously in a different zizzis and it was not good, small portion and cold, no condiments offered or grated parmesan offered, yet a couple who came in after us who were hugged by the staff, had at least double the portions we had. Plus grated parmesan, black pepper and condiments, staff were all over them and ignoring other customers, I get that they obviously knew this couple, but all customers should be treated the same. Other customers were also not offered any condiments either. I wouldn't go back to this zizzi restaurant again

My choice of eatery was really quite random and spontaneous, but this was one of the very few venues at Westfield that I had not yet tried, so I thought I would give it a go. I remember past visits to other outlets in the chain and they have always been pretty good. Somehow, this one was rather lacklustre. I visited on a quiet Friday afternoon, in that period that is something of a lull between the peak times of lunch and dinner. The restaurant was nowhere near at capacity, with only a few other tables occupied, but whilst my servers were all perfectly polite and courteous, I found the service rather slow, and slightly inattentive. It took rather too long to order a drink upon being seated and then rather too long between courses. No one asked how my meal was, and I was not even offered dessert - I had to ask for the dessert menu. So, it was all a bit sloppy and lackadaisical, which doesn't bode well in any customer facing environment, yet alone a restaurant. To start, I decided to try something from the 'signature cocktails' menu and was intrigued by the strawberry Aperol spritz (Aperol, prosecco, strawberry, soda). It took rather too long to arrive and when it did, it was disappointing. It was actually lukewarm, because it had only a few little cubes of ice floating around at the surface (see picture). The lack of ice also had the effect of making the glass look only half full. Clearly it was not prepared by anyone who knows anything about mixology - temperature is key (hence, shaken, not stirred, for those who have no idea why it makes any difference). The result is an insipid, semi-warm liquid that tasted like boiled sweets. Now to the food. Whilst it was good to see many of the old Italian classics on the menu, there were a few interesting twists amongst the usual pizzas and pastas. I started with the King Prawn Spiedini, described as 'Harissa marinated king prawns roasted on a skewer with spicy sauce to pour over'. What I was not expecting was the skewer to be served suspended vertically from a metal contraption - all rather theatrical and vaguely ridiculous for five king prawns and half a lemon (see picture). To eat them means removing them from the skewer first - a somewhat unnecessary extra step. The prawns themselves were delicious and the sauce was spicy, but not overwhelming. As an alternative to pasta, I order the Chicken Milanese for my main course, described as 'breaded chicken breast with Tuscan-style new potatoes, green beans & spinach.' This was just OK. The chicken was hot and crispy and quite substantial, but served with chips or potatoes and spinach, the overall dish was a bit dry. I couldn't help feeling it needed some kind of sauce (see picture). For dessert, I was intrigued to try the white chocolate and raspberry tiramisu. Being something of a tiramisu connoisseur, I expected something a bit more sophisticated. What I got was not really reminiscent of tiramisu - certainly no hint of mascarpone, not much evidence of white chocolate either, but plenty of squirty cream and raspberry sauce (see picture). With the final bill coming in at £58, including drinks, that is not unreasonable. Interestingly, the now ubiquitous habit of adding 'optional' or 'discretionary' service charges is disguised as a 'team tip', although on the plus side it is only 10% and not the whopping 15% I have seen in some other establishments.

We were served by Marco who was very helpful and polite. 10 out of 10 stars for Marco’s service.

We got there 5 minutes late, but thankfully it was quiet. We were shown to our table, but we're told we'd need to order via the app. The food did arrive very fast, but again, payment was via the app. The bill had a service charge included, which I disagree with, as we received minimal service, and for a run of the mill pizza/pasta order, found it very expensive.

Food wasn't that great. Calamari was very bland, thank christ, there was the garlic sauce with it for flavour Special carbonara (5 cheeses) the first dish came out with raw pasta, but I was given a replacement dish, but the flavours were not special and was just an okay carbonara. Overall, I have given zizzi a two, not great food. The service was okay, but the atmosphere was good. Also please note that they have an optional team tip (can be removed to save money if you feel the service was not great), but there was no service charge.

The person that took our order looked like she had no faith in the food, poor attitude. Calamari was bland and the sauce made up for it. After my boyfriend got his food the pasta was undercooked (chewy/hard) and had to be brought back the server(red brownish hair) that took care of that was amazing (thank you). My pasta was not amazingly good, very basic, classic 4/10. Then not too long after eating the food, our bellies got upset, so the server had every right to not have faith in the food. In addition to that we were waiting 10 business days to be served , to get the problem fixed , and to pay, it was like we were forgotten customers. We tried to ask one of the servers(tall male) for help and he completely dismissed us. Never going again. Also ended up paying the optional team tip that only 1 person deserved.

Great experience, I can only recommend to try out. Food was always fresh and delicious, fast service and kind staff including their manager Steven who makes sure that one enjoyes the stay and have every dish/drink on time delivered as desired.

Was going to have the sea bass, untill l found out it was ONLY 1 fillet ( one side ) And for £17,50 l would expect a hole fish (2 sides ) so that was disappointing. I ordered the pork £17.40 which was tasty but a small size with a small amount of veg and potatoes so agin very disappointed So l wouldn’t recommend value for money at all
