Food was brilliant. Best mushrooms I've ever had. And the staff were absolutely fantastic. So friendly and created just a lovely atmosphere. Well priced too. Highly recommended!

Lovely fresh pasta. Beef ravioli with sage butter sauce was top top top. A pleasure to burp for ages afterwards. Very nice atmosphere and friendly service.

Excellent Italian restaurant, good pizza for London and good meat. Very courteous and helpful staff. We returned for 2 evenings because we had a very good time. They also speak Italian so even for those who don't know English it's easy to order.

Nice Italian restaurant, food was good, and service was excellent!

Well let’s get straight to it: When you order the food, you don’t get very warm welcome and you feel like a weight on them Then, the food comes and it’s basically half cooked, the chicken escalope should have been crispy and thin, it came fat and undercooked, i can literally taste the age of the chicken meat… The spaghetti was alright, but the dish is not worth 22£. Then the dessert… The tiramisu was like a wet sponge, it literally tasted like cold sponge filled with water and some coffee and sugar slapped on top of it. I couldn’t finish the food because of the reasons mentioned. The final one was the tea, which was pretty ordinary, tea bags so nothing special. For the price, if it was half the price maybe will get 3 stars, but for above 30£ this is really stretching it.

Excellent Italian restaurant. The menu is very varied with a wide selection of Italian pasta and pizza dishes. My yard stick is Carbonara and it was correctly made using egg and Parmesan which was excellent. When we visited it was busy, it being a Saturday evening, but we were seated quickly and the staff were attentive.

Dropped in for food before going to the O2. Lovely and clean. Shown to table and order was taken shortly afterwards, drinks served in lovely clean glasses, and our food was served in a reasonable time. Piping hot, and delicious. Freshly made, generous portions and would certainly recommend eating here. Staff attentive and engaging.

Ate here twice during our 1 week London trip. Great food - we had pizza, pasta and carpaccio - never waited long for the food. Place it full around 7 p.m., so you should come earlier or book a table. Italian server, owner and presumably also the chef is Italian. Absolut yes.

Today the pizza was great! Good looking, very tasty and light dough. Very very good! I hope they will keep this standard.

My second visit today and once again disappointed with main event. Veg was beautiful sauce and mushrooms to die for but veal was all fat and grisel and left half of it. Last time everything was great but calves liver was chewy. Service is great but very disappointed again on my menu choice. These dishes range over 20 pound so you wud expect good quality mains.

Fabulous and more importantly hot food, so often a delivery arrives late from other suppliers and the food you’ve been waiting for is cold, this never happens with Peppereno

One main dish was not delivered. The restaurant apologised but blamed JustEat. They were unable to supply a replacement. The other main dish - saltimbocca - was tough and tepid. Veg also cold and roasted veggies uncooked. Salad just ok. First time we tried them and definitely the last

Wonderful place, delicious dishes. We booked a large reservation for a company’s dinner and Pepenero’s staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They took care of all the small details and the food was amazing!

We were in London for a few days back in June of 2023, and the owner/host made our dinner very special. It was late, we were tired and we were just planning on eating in our hotel room. However, my wife saw this place and we took a chance. The owner/host was super friendly and they easily made everything we asked for even if it was off-menu. My daughters are very picky eaters and they loved the pasta. I only wish we had eaten there more than once. When we come back to London, we are definitely making a special trip to eat here again.

We went there 3 times - every meal was delicious. Pollo and funghi, tagliatelle, salmon penne. Great service from Ricardo and Giuseppe. Only decent restaurant in walking distance from our hotel. So, lucky they served delicious food and drinks there.

I ended up having dinner in Pepenero last night and was disappointed with a couple of things. First of all, I was served a beer that was undrinkable as it tasted terrible. Second, I ordered the Banoffee pie, which I believe must have been frozen before putting in the display fridge as that tasted awful. Desserts should be fresh, especially a Banoffee pie. Last but not least, the price is way over the odds for the food and drink that is being presented. I would never eat there again, and I would tell people to be careful of what they ordered here.

£9.95 for 2 meatballs starter is a rip off. A pity when the food is good. You don’t need to mug your clients.

I will be going back again soon.

This was a very disappointing pizza and certanly not italian. We got the Pizza Pepenero and although on the menu it is listed as including: Ham, Salami, Italian Sausage we couldn’t really identify them and what they were. The ham tasted like bacon, there were 2 pepperoni slices in total on the whole pizza. As for the sausage, goodness me I am not sure what that is - it looks like English breakfast sausage. And there was another type if meat (not listed on the menu) which looks like minced pork/beef? Unsure. The only reason I am not giving it a 1 star is because the pizza base was edible. The atmosphere in that place is giving 90s cheap bar vibes.. Do not recommend

We went to London from Ayr Scotland on holiday and this restaurant was next to our hotel. The food was absolutely delicious, and the owner was charming, even offering us the drink of our choice to finish off our meal. My wife had a Cognac, and I had a whiskey. My wife said the only thing that let it down was the decor. The tables and chairs could have been better, and my wife said she would have floral decorations hanging. Overall, recommended 👌

I didn't like the pizza - it was supposed to be thin crust so I envisaged rustic crunchy pizza dough, but it was so floppy one couldn’t even hold on to one's slice I didn’t like the tiramisu- tasted watery, as if defrosted before serving Disappointin

The restaurant was quiet, we ordered olives for a pre starter, and they didn't turn up - all be they didn't get billed either. We ordered garlic tom bread, which was delicious, followed by a vegetable paste and a potion of cannelloni. The veg paste was over seasoned ( on the plus side a hearty potion size) to the point of being difficult to eat. While my cannelloni looked good when it arrived, there was no tomatoe sauce with the dish. The beef looked like cat food and was tasteless, I asked the waiter to refreash the dish with tomatoes sauce, and it came back with plain passata added., to demonstrate how bad it was before the passage.... it was an improvement! When the bill arrived, it was all to pay for and no mention of the quality issues. On a plus side I was still alive in the morning, but will avoid this place in the future.

I’m someone who orders from this restaurant quite often and I’ve never once ran into this problem. I ordered a couple of Tiramisus and noticed that some of them were sprinkled with sugar and some of them weren’t. As usual, the ones that were normal were top tier. However the other two were practically inedible. I took one bite and spat it out. Why the sugar sprinkle all of a sudden, and why so much of it?

My partner and I have been dinning there for over 10+years and we love it there. The food is amazing and the customer service is great.

Mouthwatering plates, amazing flavours, splendid customer service, this place is sincerely and truly one of the greatest Italian Restaurants in all over London! The attached picture is from the greatest mussels I have ever tasted, Pepenero truly know how to make delicious food!

Greeted warmly by the host on arrival. We did not have a booking on the day we stopped in, but the restaurant was full by 7:30, so it may be prudent to book. Great service, plenty of options on the menu and everything we ordered was delicious. Prices very reasonable.

I would avoid this place. It’s not bad, but it is not good and certainly not worth the money. The first problem is their over reliance on rocket. My caprese salad came with rocket instead of basil. To make up for the lack of basil they increased the quantity of rocket. A large handful of rocket was also on my son’s pancetta dish; a very large handful. To top it off the chef threw an overly generous serving of rocket on top of my calzone. The steak was good, and the carbonara was pushing the needle into the okay territory. It was nothing to write home about. The garlic bread was the dish of the night. That is just not saying much. I don’t mind spending a lot of money, or what I would consider a lot of money, on a good meal. This is not it, it was Italian food, just not done well. It was food that will prevent you from dying, that is true. But with so many great options for food in London, just walk a little further.

I have been going to this restaurant for many years and have always had great service and food , I recently celebrated my birthday with 35 guests and had a fantastic evening, everything was perfect, we had fantastic food and service, nothing was to much trouble, all my guests commented on what a lovely restaurant it was .

Came to this restaurant and was seated by a bloke that didn't smile...instantly put off..seated ... took ages for drinks order...food wasn't bad...I've had better Italian food where I live... gave the bill so paid and left tip but still got pushed for the discretionary service and grumbled at us so we left never ever to return..if we were greeted with a smile and they welcomed us and spoke to us then we would have no problem paying it

We went mid-evening on a Sunday. The food was good but not great - disappointing pizza. The lighting is too bright and the very high ceiling makes it noisy. Might have been better in one of the booths.

Came here to visit a friend and we decided to try this restaurant. I found good reviews of it on a Chinese social media Xiao Hong Shu. We came here on a Sunday afternoon around 1 pm when we first entered there wasn’t any other people. However, by the time we had left around 2 pm and it got busier and busier. I ordered a carbonara. The portion is very generous and it is very creamy. I wasn’t able to finish my dish that was very rare. We ordered the mussels from the today special menu. They came with the tomato sauce, quite flavourful. My friend ordered a clam pasta. She said it was good. The staff and owner were very friendly. I left the restaurant and had to come back to use the bathroom and they happily let me use it.

A total decent Italian restaurant. I ordered calamari as starters that was perfectly ok. Main course was Saltimbocca a la romana. Very good. Good portions. Let’s see if I can walk out the restaurant because I’m totally full.😀. I think the service was quick, friendly and it was never hard to get attention despite the restaurant was rather busy

Waited 2 hours (!!!!!!!!!) for pizza and then got the wrong one! No apology. The table next door came much later and had the food in front of us!!! Service is very bad, incompetent and annoyed. Soft pizza that doesn't taste good. Caprese almost £10 consists of 5 slices of unripe tomatoes, a little mozzarella, carelessly served. Has nothing to do with Italian cuisine! There are much better alternatives nearby. Way too expensive.

Ordered carbonara x2 but they are so both dry....no sauce at all

Good for authentic Italian food, tried pasta. Beer was expensive, service was poor, no attention when the place was not full. Took lot of time to take order and then get the food. It was next door to my hotel and wanted hot food so went there twice. Hotel advertised 25% discount but the restaurant tried to ignore it. When they grudgingly gave discount, they added optional service charge to the bill.

I had dinner in this restaurant because it was a stone's throw from the hotel where I was staying. The environment inside is quite noisy despite the high ceilings. The staff was quick and perhaps the wait for the food was a little long. I ordered some garlic bread, good but it looked more like focaccia. As a main course, sliced ​​meat and vegetables, the meat was good but a little fatty in some places. Total just over 40 pounds, in line with London prices.

It is a lovely place with a kind owner, very authentic, and the food is fantastic :) Highly recommend!

my pizza was handed to me in a carrier bag so you can guess where all the cheese and topping ended up, you got it at the bottom of the box delivery guy should know to hold pizza flat.

What a wonderful Christmas dinner we had. Very pleasant staff. No rushing you through your meal. This is the 3rd year for us and we will definitely be going back next year.

My wife and I visited for dinner before going to a concert at the O2. We were seated straight away at a nice table. The waiter was lovely - a genuine Italian. We ordered the bruschetta to start and the carbonara and amatriciana for mains. These were delicious and plentiful - just like you’d get in Italy. We will definitely come back again. Including 2 large glasses of wine the bill came to £75

Reasonably priced for a London restaurant serving quality food. The atmosphere is great with friendly staff. I had the scallops as a starter and was very impressed. They were cooked to perfection and wrapping them in pancetta was a nice touch. I had sirloin steak for my main and it was cooked as I requested, medium rare. It came with Brocoli, carrots and roast potatoes which were cooked well too.

If the owner is reading this, believe me, this is nothing but the truth, take it as a man and do the needful. 1- The food you serve are always on point, and most time the portions are extra which is fantastic. 2. Your staff members are one of the best in the industry, they know what they need do, excellent service. 3. In my opnion i think the owner should step back, you have become too familiar to your routine and now you irritating without knowing it, I believe you are a great guy but the pressure must have made you now hopeless on the job. I remember turning up with my wife, we normally come in and play singles to spice up our relationship. The first thing you said after we seated to her was "what country are you from? ", ok before you begin that type of conversation make sure, they have eaten, enjoyed themselves then you can familiarise yourself, (My wife was wondering, why you asked), Secondly when she wasn't sure of a menu and wanted clarity, she felt you leaned too close to her face, that was uncomfortable for her she said to me in the car, and lastly, i am not a generous eater, and so when i left my plate half full and you made the comment, "oh! When you infront of a lady you dont want to eat much" .. Myself and wife didn't find that funny. As i said stay in your lane, be professional and allow the guests lead you. Your business is a great location, good food, no parking but we still paid £10 for 2 hours with a hotel near by, don't spoil what you have successfully built, you may need hire a manager, and watch from far. - Black man with a white wife. Proper Italian food made and served by Italians; the real deal. I had the scallops. I didn't realise they could be so big and there were loads hidden in the spagetti. We were so full afterward that we couldn't manage dessert. Will return next time I'm nearby.

Had the steak and couldn't fault it...was lovely..will be back.👍
