Zizzi (Beckenham) in Bromley

Very nice restaurant, impeccable service and kind staff. One of the best in Beckenham. They really deserve five stars.

Family birthday celebration, mixture of adult, teens and under tens. Food suited all and waitress was attentive and interacted well.

My second time here - there won't be a third. Food made by people with zero cooking skills. First time my "bruschetta" was in fact a slice of cold, soggy bread to which the only thing that had been done was to put the tomatoes on top. The second time the starter was fine. It was a chicken skewer. The main - I couldn't face eating it. Forced down some of the salmon which was as dry and overcooked as a kitchen scouter. But couldn't manage more than a few mouthfuls of the pasta - which had been cooked to death. Like tinned pasta. the sauce was a bit sickly - but I could have forgiven that if the pasta had been edible. The staff are very nice. They just need someone who knows how to cook and they'd be golden.

Wonderful place with awesome food

I love it here as: - excellent value set menu with masses of choice at a reasonable price, £26.50 for 3 courses all day; but sometimes you have to actually ask for this menu as not readily provided! - food always delicious and plentiful. - staff so friendly and helpful - able to talk to your pals as no loud music blasting out.

Four of us called in on a walk up basis and although food was okay service was slow and the main focus seemed to be on preparing deliveries/takeaways to the detriment of those dining in. Surely the diners on site should be put first? Also, although not restricted to Zizzi's, I'm getting increasingly tired of delivery drivers congesting the entrance area of restaurants. The food was average. We had a salmon salad, calzone and two pizzas all of which were okay but felt like "production line" food. Also, it felt like service was fitted in when they could do it. In common with many things in the UK at the moment, it seemed expensive for the quality and service on offer. The restaurant did not seem to have the personnel resources to deliver a convincing dining experience.

Beckenham zizzi is great and the chef and staff are brilliant

Had a meal ith my family for my 55th birthday at Zizi in Beckenham.I must say the service was off the hook. We had table 1 and the chap serving was brilliant he should be teaching people how to deal with customers. Throughly enjoyed ourselves and had a brilliant evening and meal.

The waitress has been really helpful and thoughtful. Had a nice experience there.

Last week I visited Zizzi's for the second time. The David Bowie connection was an extra insentive. The food was excellent and the service very friendly. Highly recommended. Thankyou for keeping David Bowie's name alive with the Sara Captain murals, the etched windows, Labyrinth room and outside signs.

My boyfriend and I have been to Zizzi several times, and each visit has been fantastic. Ben has served us every time, and he is truly amazing! He’s attentive, friendly, and has a great sense of humour, which makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. The food is always delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely keep coming back—highly recommend!

Lovely place and lovely staff. The food was delicious, however I observed that each time I get less chicken salad on the plate. Previously it was a great portion, now much smaller.

Decided we fancied zizzis for lunch so my partner and I took a 20 min drive to Beckenham zizzi. We arrived at 1 pm on a Sunday afternoon to a reliiivley quiet restaurant with all dinning customers being seated within the front area of the restaurant (assuming, to appeal to further potential customers). We walked in and there were appx 6-7 tables only within the front area area when asked where we wanted to sit we pointed to an available 4 seater table by the window as it was a very sunny day. Only to be told actually the only table that would be available to us was a 2 seater table tucked in a dark corner with the storage of their take away orders (meaning people would be constantly back and forth in this tight space whilst we were eating. We confirmed with the waitress that this was our only option, dispute the many available tables.we were told they would be getting busier soon and so we are only able to sit at the corner table. We old the waitress we would prefer a better table or would have to choose another restaurant option and left. We really enjoy zizzis hence taking a 20 min drive to the restaurant, and usually receive excellent service. We are extremely disappointed with the service towards us today as customers who were already standing in the restaurant to be nonchalantly dismissed.

Lovely waitress; hard-working and charming. Maitre D' lovely but a little dishevelled-looking. Interesting Bowie-fan decor, decent toilets (crucial in a restaurant), lots of light but also hence noisy acoustics because of lots of glass and shiny surfaces. It's the modern way and hygienic and easy-clean. The food though - the most important aspect of any restaurant - was underwhelming for me. Our group of about 20 ordered from the Valentine's Day £27.95 special menu. Some dishes served up looked fine, others full of stodgy dough or just too small and uninspiring. I asked whether or not to have the squid starter or the arancini. Told the squid was good if I liked fish, I ordered it. It was a few small thin pieces and pretty tasteless - I should have known it would be frozen. For main I had a calzone, again asking which of the two on offer the waitress recommended. Again I took the suggestion. It was the narrowest calzone I'd ever seen, like a dough hanky with a few marbles in, and the filling was red and meaty. Years ago Pizza Express sold a calzone; ham, artichoke, mozzarella in bechamel sauce, and the size of two big hands; hot and fresh and creamy. Maybe Zizzi's serve reduced portion sizes if you order the set lunch (I saw this in a Turkish restaurant in East Croydon recently); hopefully not. If they do I wish they'd say so. Most of the others with whom I dined seemed to enjoy their food and the interesting drinks on offer and only I complained about the calzone size. The waitress offered to swap it for something else from the menu but I declined as I didn't want them to bin food. I think we spent a little over £50 a head because we had a few drinks while hanging around for ages.

Went here for the 1st time last weekend. The food was delicious & ridiculously filling. Do not wonder if they will satisfy your hunger. They will.

Really fancied a classy pizza the other night so figured I’d get a classic. Absolutely love their garlic bread with cheese and caramelised onions, you can’t get better! Food arrived quickly and hot, perfect for movie night. Thank you Zizzi and will order again!

Realy great place. I brought my family from Norway over the Christmas period. The staff were so lovely and we're brilliant with the kids. The location itself was clean and well decorated. The food AMZING.

I took my kids and it was the twins 6th birthday. The manager was amazing, laid out birthday bits before we came and made a platter of birthday cakes and candles to surprise them. We had a lovely time and will be back again soon.

Pleasing restaurant chain, nice food and good place to meet up with friends. Seasonal fare offered, as well as standard a la carte. Food well presented and tasty. Prices reasonable. Friendly staff who were mostly attentive. I had pig in blanket bombe as starter, mixed meat calzone and water and a nice red wine; 80% of the reds on offer were Italian, and we enjoyed two of them, thought I dislike Primitivo, so avoided it.

I don’t think zizzi takes allergy’s seriously. I ordered risotto with salmon to make sure it’s safe from seeds and unfortunately I ended up unwell pretty much straight away.

Had a fantastic time at Zizzis Beckenham - Mella and Benito made us feel very welcome - and they had some brilliant deals around Xmas time. 10/10 made a visit
