Zizzi - Chislehurst in Bromley

My daughter and I had a lovely meal last night, made so much better as we were severed by the friendliest and most attentive waitress ever. She really knew how to connect with people. I only wish I’d got her name as she deserves a mention. Thank you for a great service xx

Yesterday, I went to a restaurant with my family and enjoyed a delicious lunch. The meal was fantastic, and Angelika, our waitress, provided exceptional service. She was kind, attentive, and made our visit truly memorable.

When I entered I instantly recognised that we were going to have a great experience within the restaurant, just from the warm atmosphere present. A special thank you to Angelika, who was extremely polite and welcoming towards us, and gave us a wonderful surprise for my birthday. The food was spectacular and so was the service, I highly recommend this restaurant, a wonderful place.

This was one of the best experiences at Zizzi I’ve ever had, absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was remarkable, the service was exceptional, and on top of that, all the food was delicious. The team were phenomenal, a very special thanks to Angelika, who gave my family a wonderful surprise and was very welcoming throughout our whole dinner. A very well deserved 5 stars!

Went today for food with my family our waitress was very attentive to me & my family also the chefs were excellent under pressure in the open kitchen, lovely food & great customer service .

"Weekends are like this" is what we were told by the manager. 1 hour for starters to be served... and it was burned. 40 minutes wait again later for the main. A Total of 3 hours here for average at best tasting food. Lovely waitress but was serving so many tables that it were impossible to track down for a drinks refill. On the plus side management was approachable and held accountability. We did have a meal discounted and were offered a complimentary soft drink, although I must say, I wouldn't recommend it here. 2/3rds of the table are now feeling very unwell the day after.

Won't be attending again, was shown in by a rude long haired guy, who pretty much threw our menus at us then seated us. We were then greeted by a lovely young blonde waitress who was very friendly and took our drink and food orders promptly. Unfortunately we then waited an hour for our starters, when they arrived they were all burnt. Me and a friend ate ours but another friend sent hers back. The waitress took it back and was evidently embarrassed. We then complained about the wait and the fact that all items were burnt and the waitress offered us complimentary soft drinks on the house. (I was drinking alcohol). We then waited a further 45mins for our mains, I had a pasta dish which was lovely and I couldn't complain about that. However my friends had the beef stew which was again burnt and the potatoes were barely cooked and rock hard. We continued with it and was always polite and friendly as our waitress was evidently run ragged. She had atleast 10-12 groups on her own. We were given no explanation as to what the hold up was. We then had dessert, I had the lemon meringue which was gorgeous but my friend had the tiramisu which tasted odd. After spending 3.5hrs there and eating out dinner and dessert between 9:30 - 10:30 at night not by choice we finally got our bill and decided due to the appalling service we would not be paying in full. A manager came over and we explained, she then offered to take a 3 course set menu of order which we agreed to. She then went onto laugh and say that they always struggle on a weekend and she suggests we come back Monday - Thursday for a great experience. If the manager knows it's shocking on a Friday and Saturday why is nothing being done? We never were given an explanation as to why it took an hour to cook 4 meatballs and why it took 3.5 hrs to eat our 3 course meal. Sadly I definitely won't be returning to the Chislehurst Zizzi branch.

Had the venison and braised steak stew on dough. Was dry. Not enough stew . May just about of been a small ladel of it. I had I small chunk of meat . Not much flavour . Very disappointed. Green beans again not many and 2 tiny bits of spinach. Dessert was good . Has the cheesecake. Tiny hot chocolate. Not good value for money

Went for a birthday dinner with 9 girlfriends. Our server was very pleasant and welcoming, but struggled with the bill and declared that payment for a glass of wine was outstanding, although we knew it wasn't. Plenty of choice including gluten-free and vegan dishes, plus a 3 course menu offering some savings on the a la carte.. However, one of our group didn't get the gluten-free pepperoni pizza she was expecting which had been substituted with a different version. Food arrived in dribs and drabs, so some of us were still waiting a good 15-20 minutes after others had received their food. Unfortunately I'd lost my appetite by then and couldn't eat much, so requested a doggy bag to take the remainder home. When we settled the bill I was taken aback to find I'd been charged £1.95 for just a splash of soda with my wine - extortionate in my opinion. All in all, it's a pleasant place for a group meal and you're not deafened by booming music all night.

Lovely chilled experience with brilliant service from Lilly, our waitress. She was especially helpful with my allergy needs and took special care to make sure our food was just right. Tasty food and plenty of new refreshing offerings. I especially recommend the garlic bomb starter - lush!

Food was great, but service abysmal. I had to get our own menus for both main course and dessert. Waited half hour before anyone came to take order. Took nearly an hour for starters to arrive. The guy who delivered main course walked off without clearing table from 1st course. Had to remind him to do it, then had to ask for cutlery. Went and got our own condiments!! Then when we wanted to order dessert had to go find someone and ask them to take our order. Overall not a good experience. But at least the food was good.

Absolutely fabulous afternoon in Zizzi at Chislehurst - there were 25 of us - we were allocated the upstairs part of the Restaurant - everyone agreed the food and service was exceptional - Karim the manager could not have made us more welcoming - his team provided us with the best food and service i have experienced in a very long time - along with Mimi and whoever else served us they made us feel like 5 star guests - first time here for most of us - it will definitely not be the last - I would very highly recommend this Restaurant to anyone - they would not be disappointed.

Had a great time with my family, Mariam was tge perfect hostess and waitress. The restaurant was well booked but you could clearly see her carrying the Fort. A true credit to the business, we will be back soon. Thank you for delivering such a wonderful time Mimi.

Abysmal. Arrived stone cold, not because of delivery driver but poor packaging from Zizzi. Pizza was made poor. No buffalo mozzarella, hardly any spicy sausage, if I was in the restaurant I would have sent it back. Terrible.

We go here often as my daughter likes it and with a tastecard it's very reasonable. Last trip a newish waiter accidentally gave us a discount in conjuction with the tastecard that he apparently wasn't allowed. We used zizzi points for this which are now lost. Despite having the bill, when we tried to pay, however the senior person on shift took the bill back and proceeded to dress down the more junior staff member in front of us. Then regurgitated 'policy' instead of honouring the bill originally given especially since we had now lost the Zizzi points we used to get the extra discount. Will rethink returning mostly due to the senior member of staff's attitude and actions to the junior staff member in front of customers. People make mistakes, honour it, have a discussion in private with them so that it doesn't happen again, no need to embarrass them in front of their customers.

Long service, dishes untidy, overpriced and made the portions smaller. King Prawns linguine instead of king prawns had 5nr. Shrimps. It was my first and last time coming to Zizzi.

Overprices, slow service, small portions. There are much better Italian restaurants in the area that are not franchises with much better quality.

I had the herb rolled pork belly ,,--- which I love but zizzis offering was dreadful , pork was overcooked ,Totally dried out extremely thin slice . , inedible, plus no spinach , about 6 green beans , , 4 halfs off small potatoes . Poor value ..Friends chicken was dry also, shame cos I like zizzis , I guess if you go here play safe and stick to the pizza s which they do well ,,, we still gave our server a good tip because she looked after us extremely well which made up for the food , , gave 3 stars for atmosphere due to children running around being loud , but the server did move us to a quieter part of the restaurant .

Restaurant is like an echo chamber - noise levels from customers trying to have a conversation were unbearably high. Food was ok. But we were asked whether we wanted mayonnaise, & 2 of us did - & we were charged £2 on the final bill for the 2 mayonnaises. No one told us there was a charge & nowhere on the menu did it say there was a charge for mayonnaise!! Little hidden charges like this are not only annoying but make you less likely to trust the restaurant again..

Food: Most of the dishes on our table were burnt. My pizza base was so rough it kept cutting up the inside of my mouth. Painful. Pizza toppings made it look pretty but it is a shame that eating it was such a pain. I was so disappointed. I don't recommend the pizza at all. 2/5 Service: Can't fault the dude who served us. Atmosphere: It was difficult to enjoy with the screaming children banging chairs, I understand this is not within the parents nor the establishments control, but maybe providing some colouring pages will keep the kids occupied.

Honestly wouldn’t bother. We turn up, there was lots of free tables, but they decided to give us the table right by the door with the door open (it was not a hot day), or they said if we can put you up at the back, so we said yes. We then got given the smallest table ever, in between two walls right by the till with a massive coat stand behind. We said to the waitress there’s loads of free tables, can we not go any where else to which she replied no sorry I have been told I can’t put you anywhere else. My partner then asked someone else and he said we could move to a better table at the front. It then took 15 minutes to get served, and we only got served because I asked to be served. Our starters come out before our drinks, the meatballs were nice but bread was average. The cocktails come up and were awful, my partner couldn’t even drink his. We then ordered another drink and our mains, our mains come up in no longer than 3 minutes of ordering them. Let me just say, they was absolutely awful. If you’re going to microwave a meal, at least microwave it well. My partner said to the waitress, sorry but we’re not eating these and I want them taken off the bill. They did take them off the bill, and my partner asked for the bill. When it come up the waitress saw my partner putting notes down on the bill and she come over and said we’re cashless. So they also refuse legal tender too. We called a manager and he accepted the cash. The waitress was very friendly and was clearly rushed off her feet, only positive to Zizzi.

Popped in for lunch, lovely pleasant atmosphere. Service was good, not rushed but also not slow. We had an offer voucher to use and made the most of it by ordering three courses. Everything was delivered hot and tasty, I especially liked the tiramisu - it’s so creamy. I would recommend and return

Pastas are below average really, not to mention the salads, quite low quality. The service is hit and miss, some are great and some not, hopefully they can improve their standards.

Very disappointing. Chicken on skewer starter was cold. Once we pointed this out they just went and reheated it. Surely a chef would know not to reheat cold chicken. Carbonara main portion could have fitted in a small breakfast bowl with what can only be described as chorizo crumb with no taste. Just short of £17 for over cooked pasta with a sauce. A chicken salad main with only a few bits of chicken. Surely a whole chicken breast should be included. Didn't bother with desert, just wanted to get out. Glad we had vouchers as it would have been a waste of £65 with a couple of drinks. Will avoid big chain restaurants in future. This has no reflection on the staff.

We came here to celebrate my brothers 18th birthday with the family. The staff were friendly. I ordered Meatballs for starter and Spaghetti Bolognaise for my main course. The pasta dish was small, I expected to be a bigger portion. It was a good experience but was disappointed the portion size of the food.

Terrible, very long que to get in there even tho everyone had booked and waited 30 mins to be seated, the waitress was excellent and so was the food but it took 3 hours to have 3 courses and the lady chef was shouting and swearing all the time so loud we could hear each other speak, shame as we used to look forward to going there

Food terrible, pizza with hardly any topping. Risotto dry and clumpy and small portion for nearly £15. Service terrible meals coming out when others in group finished. Couldn't use vouchers there so get them paid back as will not be visiting again. Couldn't see low level disabled toilet, only saw one up top of flight of stairs.
