5 stars for everything! This restaurant was an amazing experience for me and my partner to say the least. He booked this for my birthday and everything was just perfect from the minute we sat down to the minute we left! Outstanding service from our waitress which I didn’t catch her name but she checked back on us consistently, attention was always caught straight away if we needed anything, perfect timing when asking if we would like anything else and clearing plates etc. fresh cutlery was bought over for each course. The food was very tasty and freshly cooked which the prices definitely match the quality. They made it special for us by bringing out a cake for my birthday at the end of our meal. Lastly the atmosphere in Pontis was lovely and the area it’s located in is also very lovely. Absolutely nothing I can fault from our experience here. Thank you to the team at Pontis. 100% recommend 😊

Just back from another excellent meal at the Casa Nosta. Great food , great service and a lovely atmosphere. Looking forward to our next visit . Lobster ravioli and salmon with a lobster sauce this time. Enjoyed every mouthful

Too much for a service charge. They were out of the specials at 19.30. Food is tasty. Edit after the restaurant's response: I came back after a while, I enjoyed it. Had I seen this I wouldn't 🤣 I go to a restaurant to have a nice time, not to fight with the food, the service charge etc. If I'm going to spend all night complaining, what's the point? 🤣 I just don't understand why would anyone try to outsmart a customer who's willing to spend money when you can be nice and have me as a frequent guest 😁 Unlike last time, this time the service and the food was wonderful.

Gran lugar para disfrutar de la verdadera cocina italiana. Visitamos Amarone para un almuerzo del sábado con mi familia. Fuimos recibidos por el mamager Rafa, que era amable y divertido, y nos dio una gran recomendación de vino. La carta es diversa y auténtica, compartimos los entrantes, mi favorito fue el steak tartar y la caponata siciliana pero el mejor fue el plato principal, elegí el tagliogini ai gambi y quedó exquisito, un plato de pasta con gambas y un rico sabor a marisco. Es un lugar encantador, tenemos un excelente servicio y comida increíble. Sin duda volveremos pronto.

Thank you for an absolutely lovely experience yesterday. Our group of five were made to feel so welcome when we arrived. Compliments to the chef the food was absolutely delicious and it was complimented by a good selection of beer and wine. We will most definitely return. A big thank you.

Hemos comido en este restaurante durante varios años, pero nos fuimos decepcionados después de nuestra visita del domingo. Después de pedir un gluten - entrante libre y principal, la ensalada de pimiento romano llegó sin pimientos. La primera razón aducida fue que había gluten en los pimientos (aunque pedido en el menú gluten - gratis) , y cuando se nos preguntó más, nos dijeron que los pimientos no estaban en temporada. Esto fue seguido por encontrar una etiqueta de plástico en su boca desde su inicio. El camarero dijo que probablemente era de un recipiente de queso... Luego, el lado de mi marido de "verduras de temporada" se olvidó y solo llegó después de que se le preguntó al camarero dónde estaban (y hacia el final de la comida) y resultó ser solo un plato de judías verdes, que estoy seguro de que no se ajustan a los criterios de temporada ... Realmente decepcionado 😞

Tasty, authentic food, pleasant atmosphere without being too noisy. Excellent service especially from Northey and Martina, who chatted and made us feel special. Thank you, you're both an asset to this restaurant!

Outstanding authentic food, with wonderful friendly service. This is by far the best Italian food I’ve had. Well worth a visit to anyone that enjoys genuine authentic Italian cooking.

If you come to Edinburgh, do not leave without eating here. Compared to the 2-3 Italian restaurants highlighted in London, the pasta here was much better. We tried all three pastas in the sea food section, the one at the bottom is the best. There is a lot of seafood and it is filling. Venison pasta is also very good. You can also have tiramisu after your meal, it was great. We would like to thank the Sicilian lady for her interest and the other lady whose name we forgot to ask.

Absolutely superb! Beautifully cooked food, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. Say no more…would give it 10 stars if I could!

We had a party of 13 people to celebrate my sons birthday, as always the food was excellent, the servers were attentive and we were able to keep the birthday cake a secret until all the servers appeared singing happy birthday. We couldn’t have asked for anything more, we all had a fantastic evening. Special thanks to the gentleman who took our orders and looked after us all night, sorry I can’t remember his name
