Had a wonderful evening at Salt Yard! The tapas were incredible, and the wine selection was fantastic. A huge thank you to Anna and Maria for their excellent recommendations, they made our experience even better! Their knowledge and friendly service were much appreciated. We really enjoyed the artichoke, salmon and the pistachio fondant.

Had an amazing experience at this cozy tapas spot in central London. The food was exceptional, but what really stood out was the fantastic service from Anna and Maria, they were friendly, attentive, and made our night even better. Highly recommend this place for great food and top-notch service.

Even though the upstairs was empty, we were seated downstairs on the lower level. This was also not full but the table we were offered was right in front of the kitchen and also the toilets. I asked if it was possible to sit not right in front of the kitchen but we were told that was the only table available. We were a group of three. Service was prompt bringing water, and taking drinks and food orders. And then the speed dining began. The wine was brought and where normally one person would taste it, it was opened and served into all the glasses immediately. The food came out so quickly it was shocking. We ordered 7 sharing plates and two bar snacks and everything was on the table within 10-15 minutes. And that was it basically for service for the rest of the evening. The food was good. Not exceptional, but not bad. Some plates were removed but we were never asked again if we wanted or needed anything. We had to ask for more water. We were never offered more wine or drinks or even dessert or coffee. It was very odd. We weren't rushed out to finish and leave, but it felt a bit like we had been forgotten. So, it wasn't bad, but it doesn't stand out.

Had a fantastic meal at Salt Yard (Goodge Street) yesterday! The food was absolutely delicious - especially the beef and lamb dishes, which were a real highlight. Highly recommend! The service was equally great, with Julia taking such good care of us - so helpful and all-around wonderful. We were there for a birthday meal, and it truly didn’t disappoint. Can’t wait to go back!

Sensational stop over for a few great wines with our host Anna. The wine selection is a lot larger than most of the restaurants in the area. This is a very easy to access restaurant with tapas style food. The cocktails are great. We had the cuttlefish and burrata. This a very easy to access restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun.

Good small plates with chill ambience for a quick weekday after work grab or date spot; Maria was friendly and helpful with explaining the menu.

Food generally good. Wine list very expensive with nothing really affordable. Also very sorry to not see a range of sherries which we were hoping for. Service good although the appearance of dishes seemed a bit random. The patatas bravas on their own would have been dull, but with the Gambas pil-pil sauce, delicious.

Two of visited for dinner. We shared dishes from fish, meat and vegetables menus. All we good, favorites were gambas, lamb, chorizo, patatas bravas. Nice atmosphere (we were upstairs), and good service (Anna and Maria).

All the staff were welcoming and very accommodating to our needs. They were very knowledgeable with the food and wine, and made great recommendations to us all first class will visit again

Nice place. Very average food and in my opinion over priced for the quality delivered.

Delicious, well presented food and great selection of very nice wines by the glass - and almost all menu items are naturally gluten free, so my wife (who is coeliac) ate safely, guided by staff and the clearly labelled allergen menu. Shout out to Anna who looked after us and was fantastic; it was incredibly busy but she was so attentive, working hard and we had a seamless experience. Looking forward to our next visit

Anna proved great service. The food was great and it was a fun atmosphere. Highlight was the the duck and gambas. Both amazing. If I had to pick something to improve of the veg dishes were a little small for the 4 of us so get two if you have a larger group.

Anna the waitress was very nice, as were all the staff. The food was decent. The octopus was dry and the potatoes were underwhelming. The artichoke was small but decently flavoured. The peppers were nice. The desert of churros was good.

Place was nice and cozy. Anna was super lovely and treated us with amazing service! Food was a bit underwhelming for the price for my taste. The tortilla was super dry and overcooked to my taste. Sizes were ok. Paid £70 for 4 tapas and 2 entres (no drinks)

Salt Yard is one of my favourite restaurants in Fitzrovia, always bringing back fond memories of Spain! During our most recent visit for a team lunch, we were served by Maria, who was incredibly kind and helpful. She made sure to accommodate our vegetarian team members and sorted out their dishes perfectly. Will definitely come back again!

Tapas burst with flavors and the atmosphere was great. I went here with my partner for anniversary and peri peri prawn is our favorite. However churros are a bit plain

I have gone to Salt Yard many times, for lunches. Yesterday was no exception in terms of experience. The service is outstanding, attentive and informative with a good knowledge of the ingredients used in the dishes and some excellent recommendations. We booked a large group for Christmas dinner with a set tapas menu. The food was tasty and came quickly but I didn't think there was enough food served overall and I think the wine was very overpriced at £40-60 a bottle. The staff however were brilliant and we did enjoy the evening.

Another terrific work Christmas Lunch hosted by Salt Yard. Last year we had our first event with them at their London Borough restaurant, and I received such fantastic feedback from the team, so I had to book them again this year. We had our lunch this year at their Fitzrovia restaurant, which was perfect for our group size (40 people). I love the intimate, private spaces they have in their restaurants. The food is incredibly good, all of our dietary requirements were well catered for and the staff are all brilliant. Huge thank you to events manager Irina, all of the service staff and of course, the amazing chefs. It was truly a wonderful experience and an end to the working year.

Me and my boyfriend came here for a nice dinner out and it was wonderful. It had the perfect atmosphere for a dinner with friends or date night. The staff where very welcoming and attentive. The food was phenomenal, I would highly recommend the cuttlefish and the chorizo. My only improvement appon our visit would be a larger portion for the courgette.

When I came to Salt Yard , I ordered a wide range of their tapas. In total I ordered the padron peppers , iberico ham, cheese platter, jamon croquettes, truffle arancino, burrata , patatas bravas, chorizo , flatbread , prawns in chilli oil and the braised beef. I was a fan of the padron peppers and iberico ham , I would say the iberico ham was almost better than the ham I’ve had in Spain. The cheese platter in my opinion wasn’t necessarily worth the price (£18 for the small platter) but it was fine . The jamon croquettes were delicious and the truffle arancino was good but sickly after too much. The patatas bravas was good too but nothing special. I was a huge fan of the chorizo and prawns in chilli oil, it paired well with the flatbread with herb butter. I was not a fan of the braised beef, although the texture was good, it was soft but it had no flavour whatsoever and was very very dry. Each time I took a bite I had to have some water with it. The basque cheesecake was nice too. Regarding drinks, I tried the sangria which was nice and the padron margarita which I wasn’t a fan of. The service was okay, the staff were friendly but I felt some of the dishes took a while to come out. Although I know its tapas style and things come out at different times, this was fine but just some things took too slow to come.
