Great if you are looking for an Italian in Holborn. Food was fantastic, 10/10 and great flavours. Was bit cramped and very warm inside but other than that definitely recommend

Loved this place - very fair prices, good portions, and very friendly service! Only marked down slightly as the interior is a bit bland, not much ambience. Could do with dimming the lights a bit and adding a few more touches on the decorating. But that’s my view - totally subjective. I’ll be back! Also…the best home made tiramisu I’ve EVER eaten. And my five friends also agreed!

Described as one of London’s leading Italian restaurants, where our passionate team look forward to serving you! Sadly that was not our experience. Met by a very brusque female who just pointed to our table. Attitude was very much that they did not care. The only bonus is we got 50% off the food - just as well as one meal was inedible but they weren’t even bothered about that.

I made a last minute decision to eat out at Isolobella and I'm very glad I did. It was the 50% off food offer however there was no reduction in the quality or amount of food offered. I had the calves liver in sage and butter for my main meal. My starter was mushroom stuffed with gorgonzola. it was all excellent. Service was fast and friendly. I will definitely consider going back, the food choices were excellent!

We had such a great meal! Booked this last minute as somewhere local whilst visiting London, had calamari and bruschetta starter, honestly one of best bruschetta I have enjoyed in many a restaurant fresh and tasty. Then for main had the seafood linguine, lots of mussels and calamari in it and delicious, and also had a whole (huge) sea bream with a side of potato’s and green beans. Everything was flavoursome and enjoyable, would happily go again!

It says it’s an Italian restaurant which is not. The menu is in English and Italian but the translation doesn’t correspond and most of the words in Italian are misspelled. The food quality and the way it’s cooked is very average, nothing to do with authentic Italian food and not even tasty. The high prices don’t reflect the quality of the food. The only positive things were the service and the venue itself. If they change the cook and with more attention to details it could have a better potential

Food and wine were both really good. Booked a table at short notice to catch up with a friend. We booked a table for 6.45 pm on a Wednesday evening. Team were very warm and welcoming. But despite the restaurant not being very busy I did feel they rushed us through our meal, but I would go back

I have been going to Isolabella for at least 20 years. Although I moved to Arizona, I still make a point of going there every visit. The food is fantastic, the staff is still there, and the ambience is wonderful.

I recently dined at Isolabella and had a mixed experience. The Gnocchi with Gorgonzola was just okay—creamy but lacking that standout flavor. The Gamberoni Piccanti (king prawns with chilli, garlic, white wine, and tomato sauce) was quite dull, with the prawns themselves not being as flavorful as expected. I also tried the Zaraglione dessert (whisked egg yolks, white wine, Marsala wine, and sugar), which was quite disappointing and not something I’d order again. Overall, Isolabella offers a decent dining experience, but the food didn’t leave a lasting impression. For an Italian restaurant, it’s solid, but I’ve had better elsewhere.

Excellent service from charming, friendly, attentive and highly professional staff, this restaurant has a lovely ambiance and top quality very reasonably priced food. The hygiene level of cleanliness are excellent and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys great Italian food.

Service - 3 servants: 1 friendly, 1 rude, 1 depressed…pay them more or get rid. Location - toilets (dirts) ; main restaurant layout - zero charm /maximum tables/covers…resulting in various poor people inches from my chin having to listen to my banal chit chat. Food - pizza (think Lidl); spaghetti pomodoro with basil (microwave? Think Dolmio and zero basil); side dish - Salad …unwashed hence still picking sand and grits out of my teeth as I type. Drinks - just ok. Price - for London ok. Summary - Like we all do, i work hard for my money,, and I wasted an evening out based on Tripadvisor reviews which imply this place is good. It isn’t…but maybe most London restaurants are poor so this place is relatively ok. It isn’t though. It’s a 4.

Great restaurant for catching up with friends - good service and portion sizes. Between us we had pizza and pasta dishes and they were delicious. We had 50% off our food bill as we'd booked through OpenTable - though the food was.gppd and the offer made it good value paying ~£20 for a dish is relatively high. That said parties of less than 5 incur no discretionary service charge - we bought drinks and gave a tip. Would go back as unusually for restaurants this place didn't have loud background music so was ideal for chatting!

Lovely, traditional Italian food cooked very well. Particularly good fried courgettes, which were nicely al dente. My only complaint is that a large bottle of San Pellegrino costs £6.25 here - which seems like a very big mark-up on a relatively low cost item. I would go there again for the food, but next time I'll have wine or tap water.

The restaurant is well located, and with good quality of food. The food is good and has good quality. The children have a good menu but the waiters and the room manager are not the most pleasant. It was raining and we were a 2-year-old girl and 3 adults, the restaurant was half empty at 8:30 at night and the waitress told me that without a reservation we couldn't have dinner. Thank goodness I booked 10 minutes before, because I think otherwise we would have had to leave.

We arrived at restaurant 15 minutes early, it was completely empty. We were shown to our table, as I was talking to the waiter he just walked off. I wanted to clarify the deal that was booked through open table. He ignored me and a lady started talking in a different language. He aggressively said you are 15 minutes to early for the 50% deal it's 25% at this time, so if you want that deal you'll have to wait. I said it's not a problem as I knew we were early, then the lady said something again, and again he shouted at us saying it should be 25% off food now, as your here before 5pm. I said it's fine we will leave and come back then. He shouted, No just sit and wait. With that I got up and left and told them to forget it, as at this point we felt very uncomfortable. Yes we arrived early but was happy to sit and wait and order alcohol which was not in the deal, and wait until 5pm to order food. After that experience I will never ever return!

Unfortunately we didn't even get to taste the good. We arrived 15 minutes early to an empty restaurant with a very unfriendly welcome. We sat down and I asked about the deal that on open table, a lady that was out of sight, starts talking to the man I'm their language. He then aggressively with a raised voice said you are 15 minutes early, you only get 25%off 50% starts at 5pm. I responded and said it's fine we will leave and come back. The lady spoke again and he said it again, you are early so it's 25%off. I stood up and said we were leaving, we had been made to feel uncomfortable and staying now just was not an option. All they had to do was say we could order drinks which had no money off, so they list out there and give us the menu but advise we can't order until 5pm. The rudeness was beyond anything I've experienced, no wonder the restaurant was empty if that's how they treat paying customers.

Fantastic service from when we arrived to when we left. I had the feeling they were used to people needing to hurry up a bit on lunch breaks and they catered for this brilliantly. We were not in a rush so took our time. Food was lovely - no complaints there at all. BUT the drinks prices! Almost £10 for a beer. Overall excellent place though and I wouldnt hesitate in rebooking.

I've been to the restaurant several times and the food and service never fails to disappoint. It's a great safe place to know you you will have a great experience out and extremely good value for money. Please visit if you haven't been before.

Disappointing welcome, I acknowledged we were early for our booking and restaurant wasn't yet open, but when I asked if we could come in or should wait outside I was greeted with an eye roll and then a demand for our booking details, I gave the time and was then asked to provide the bookers name, and when I said again the time before giving the name, I was cut off and told they have 3 bookings for that time I need a name, I gave the name and our table was pointed out to us. As we sat down, we were told quite abruptly we couldn't park the pram there, as the restaurant will be busy, but we felt it was harsh as we were only just settling ourselves so had every intention of parking the pram elsewhere but hadn't been given the chance too. I was then not keen to ask for a high chair, I felt whatever I said or did was going to cause upset/short sharp answers. Our other guests joined and the rest of our visit went fine, just not the best welcome. Food was ok, had better had worse.

We booked the table last minute & thankfully tables were available. When booking I was given the option of 50% which I took up. On arrival, the restaurant wasn't overally busy which was nice as we got served promptly. The food was delicious. We only had a main course but there was plenty to choose from on the menu. Would definitely recommend & go back if in the area again

Be careful when booking if you think you'll get the OpenTable discount, they will use any excuse to deny you a discount or promotional offer. There are better places to spend your money than here, go somewhere else instead.

Lovely place. Just in front of the premier inn hotel. Open on Saturdays till 21:30. The next day around 19L00 it was too crowded and too loud tgere so we skiped it

To find this place was so fortunate. This is a a little unknown gem not far from Holborn Station. When you walk in you can tell it is a traditional Italian restaurant. We were seated at a nice table and immediately offered drinks. The menu contains all the traditional dishes you would expect and want. Our food came and it was amazing - prepared with fresh ingredients and super tasty. The service was great. The prices were reasonable. I will definitely be going back and will recommend to others as well.

A really lovely Italian meal in a convenient location in holborn - old school in the best ways (one of the very few places to still offer an instantly made zabaglione) combined with contemporary elegance and flavours. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the ambience was classic and welcoming, with white linen and a cool yet mellow interior. The fish dishes, the porcini and truffles, the spinaci and other sides were all superb, as was the pasta. We had a perfect meal and were able to talk to eachother - mostly to eulogise over the food and wine!

We made a last minute booking for 9 ppl on a Friday night and had incredible service from beginning to end. Can not recommend this hidden gem more! Fantastic food and service that had pride behind it. Definitely put this on your list.

This is a great little find - massive portions and good quality food - not fine dining by any means but hearty and tasty. We had a birthday girl with us and she got a candle and some singing Italian style so they put in a bit of effort when it could have easily been flat!

We had a family gettogether to wish my niece success in her endeavour's next day competing in the London Marathon 2024. Our party of 16, were made welcome and received amazing care and service from our fabulous waitress. The food was excellent and our dietary needs met. Isabella's was buzzing and we were not the only large party that were dining that evening. Hats off to all the staff an amazing evening. Thank you we will be back.

Lovely Italian Bistro, well situated in Holborn area of London. Competitive food and drinks prices. Excellent, friendly service. Only gave the food four stars as found my Lasagne was rather salty but hubbies pizza was excellent if a little large for him to manage it all. Would certainly recommend.

Great tasting food. Excellent service and fab coffee. Really good portion sizes which helped with our ravenous teenage children! We had a mixture of pizza and pasta based mains and everyone gave a minimum of 9/10. Same for the puddings. Coffee definite 10!!!! We will go back.

Food arrived 40 late and it was cold. Pancetta was not cooked or crispy. Calamari was under seasoned. Not worth the money or the wait to be honest. Nice meat balls though

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a member of staff who showed us to our table and the great service continued. Our waiter was Ricardo who was very attentive and funny. He was always available and ensured whatever we ordered approved promptly. Ordered a lovely white wine from Puglia for dinner. We kicked off the evening with Prosecco. The desserts sounded amazing, however we just didn’t have enough room! We will definitely be back and next time will sample the desserts.

Good value with the discount from open table but otherwise nothing special. Booked for a birthday meal but the 'family' business was just that, business. Service seemed forced and food was not genuine. The chicken and mushroom linguine used very heavily reduced cream. Would not visit again for a birthday meal.
