Great food, generous portions, you will not be disappointed. Close your eyes and the taste takes you to your favourite place in Italy. Well done Ciao Bella this shows why you've been there for decades and will continue to do so. I for one will continue to come back.

As an Italian I can say with out a doubt that this not a quality Italian restaurant. Nobody in italia is eating pasta with meatballs. 3rd rate for sure.

Great place, packed and booking essential which is always a good sign. Don’t try Sophie’s restaurant, appalling.

Nice meal overall. Everything good apart from the aglio e olio. Very dry. Staff were incredibly blunt and made us feel rushed and unwanted. Despite booking a table initially got shoehorned into a 2 person small round table with a chair added sticking into the main gangway. The waiter was visibly disgruntled when I politely asked for a more suitable table.

Good food, casual, outdoor seating

The food is amazing here, the atmosphere is very nice with lots of customers laughing and enjoying their meals (always busy). The service is also nice, but i had to wait 20 minutes after asking for the bill (it was very busy).

Excellent food. The garlic bread and lasagne were amazing. The service is top notch and family style. Very kid friendly staff. My 6 Yr old said it was her favourite restaurant simply based on how nice the staff was to her.

I'm really sorry to have to review like this. Worst experience...., It was generally good, but the male staff who seemed to be the supervisor or manager was the worst.

After having been here a few times and the food being excellent we decided to eat here again on our trip to London. We were very disappointed in the food, ordered a Calzone pizza the dough was uncooked and very cold in the middle

Really crowded so reservations needed. The food is good, I recommend the sea food pasta and the pesto pasta, tiramisu and panna cotta. The price is good for central location.

You won't believe the big portion sizes of Italian food here. And, let me tell you, the seafood pasta and tiramisu are definitely worth trying out. Trust me, you won't regret it!

Great food, good ambiance and all day open!

I'd heard this place was considered to be an institution so I had a perfect excuse to finally visit after watching a documentary at the nearby Curzon cinema. I opted for the spaghetti and meatballs and my partner chose the Carbonara. The spaghetti was well cooked a little aldente , just the way I like it with a firm bite. The tomato sauce was tasty with a good depth of flavour. Meatballs were surprisingly light texture wise and again they were well seasoned. Carbonara was a touch salty and fatty but that comes down to preference more than anything. We both gleefully finished our plates without a whisper. Just make sure you get here early as it's very popular. Unfussy classic Italian cooking .

Shocking. So rude and pushy that I had to take the manager aside and tell him to stop hassling us to order. He was aggressive in return. Should have left. Never going back.

lovely food- nothing majorly special but also nothing to complain about! however the service was probably the rudest ive ever experienced. we arrived at 4:30 (not exactly a busy time to eat) and were repeatedly met with unkindness and disgruntled attitudes. i booked the restaurant 2 months ago for my dads birthday and was told ‘if you’re a walk in then you have to be prepared to be quick’, to which i responded ‘i booked 2 months ago’ and was just met with a raised eyebrow. we were told to hurry up with ordering multiple times and when we complained about feeling rushed there was no apology and told we could leave if we wanted. just seems strange considering the restaurant wasn’t even busy and we were only kind and courteous. shame really!!

Excellent Italian restaurant offering great food at reasonable prices but book ahead

Yet another visit here, yet another 5 star rating. Just perfect food, staff and ambience. Place is jam packed all day, you must book in advance. Can't wait til next visit again

The food was good - but not excellent. I had a pizza and it was quite soggy, especially by the time I got towards the end of it. The piano playing was nice - but unfortunately we were sat right beside it which made conversation more difficult than it needed to be. Decent food at a fair price but I probably will not be racing back. (BTW - the dessert was superb!!! That alone made the visit worthwhile!)

Stopped here on walk from Holborn to King’s Cross , staff helpful and accommodating. We had twin boys and everybody super nice and split pizza between the two of them - pizza was swallowed down in super quick time which I’m guessing was a good sign. I had veal and pasta and my partner had the gnocchi - both were exceptional. Wine reasonably priced and desert top notch. Definitely visit again when we return to London. Staff are really good very surprised to read the other comments.

A classic Italian restaurant to try out while visiting London. A bit loud for my taste, but stuff is really attentive and helpful. A bit expensive for what you get but food is tasty.

I went three times in one week in February 2023 because it is incredible how delicious it is and I never had a problem finding a table, the pasta as it should be, without anything strange and just the right ingredients... if there is someone who didn't like the food is because they have no idea about Italian food The only thing that is a little shocking is that it is very noisy.

Wat een ontdekking.We bestelden pasta vongole in invouwbaar papier super lekker.Ook bestelden we spaghetti carbonara ook top.Maar dan het beste de spaghetti bolognese de saus was echt heel lekker met lekkere parmezaanse kaas er over was alles compleet.super lekker! Zeker een aanrader!

The worst experience. We were a total of 3 people ordered 5 main, 1 wine and 1 champagne. I asked the elder woman server that the small table wasn’t big enough to cover them but she said she could manage it anyway. Of course she couldn’t. Plus, we stayed less than 1 and half hours because we ordered champagne, wine and more mains after. The server suddenly touched my back with her fingertip disrespectfully and literally said ‘are you ok?’ which came across as pushy. Other servers were nice anyway, so we didn’t take service charge off the bill.

Excellent food! My pasta was soaking in butter and salt which I loved. Service was fast and super friendly. Seemed like a popular place and understand why 🤩

We love this jolly always fun restaurant. All the staff are wonderful and we always leave feeling happily replete and normally laughing after Emmaneula blows us kisses and gives us a farewell trill. What more could you want after pizza, pasta and a good bottle of Italian wine.

I think this was the best ravioli I've ever had in my life. Furthermore, the service was incredible. Our server was so warm, welcoming, and friendly. I wish I lived in the UK just so I could visit this restaurant regularly.

I spotted this restaurant by chance as I am not from the area . I could honestly say it’s the best pizza I have eaten in my life ever topped with a service to match

It's a lovely restaurant with a nice menu of your Italian classics, good portions and reasonably priced. There was something for every one to choose, the vegetarians had plenty of choices. The house white wine wasn't that good but for £19 a bottle went well with food, the better wines were on the expensive side. It's incredibly busy and popular so I recconended to book in advance.

Went here for a lunch with a party of 9. Ordered off the menu ahead of time and the staff had set a lovely table and brought our food soon after our arrival. Everyone enjoyed the food, as evidenced from the spotless plates by the end of our meal. I'd recommend the saltimbocca, the espagnole sauce was excellent. Great dessert menu too - we'll be back!

I visited here in the night, the booking was full, so i should’ve had a seat in the outside. But the heater was in there, was not too bad. However, the pasta what i ordered, the noodle wasnt cooked properly. It was still hard, i couldnt feel any clam flavor from the pasta, it was just salty. Not too oily, not too tasty, not cooked that much. But i shouldve paid ‘service fee’ as well. And i paid €30 for that horrible pasta. The staff was looking really busy, and i was so hungry. Just I finished it. Anyways it wasnt worthy of it to pay €30. I will never go back.

I had the pleasure of dining with my friends and family in Ciao Bella last Friday as my wedding celebration. Foods was great, the atmosphere was unbelievably friendly and special thanks to manager Eddie who helped us out with all the table decorations and let us do how we wanted. Also, pianist Norman is such a unique and lovely person. He sang all the songs that we love and asked for. Again, thank you Ciao Bella family for your welcoming hospitality to us.

Among the many Italian restaurants in London I would return to this one! It may be for the atmosphere, for the kind and easy-going service, for the tiramisu well above the average abroad, and also for the quality of the food. Really fair prices for eating Italian in London. This restaurant can accommodate both couples and large groups but I recommend making a reservation. They have both vegan and vegetarian options, although not many. Extra note: it has a heated outdoor space in the winter. Minus note: when lots of people arrive it gets noisy. Nice experience overall, I recommend it!

Authentic Italian as it gets. Who would want to dine outside in December. People that eat at Ciao Bella, that's who. Food cooked and served with passion love. Doesn't get any better.

Party of 9, all ordering different starters and mains. All dishes arrived at the table at the same time. Absolutely fabulous and great service. Atmosphere exactly what you'd expect in an Italian restaurant. Couldn't recommend it any higher.

5 stars across the board. Wonderful food, great service. Husband had the fegato, and a delicious plate of pasta with garlic, oil, chile, and anchovy for me. A great bottle of Rosso de Montalcino , rocket salads and olives. I would recommend and return!!!

If you’re looking for authentic Italian food, please don’t come it’s gonna let you desperate disappointed. Even the basic spaghetti bolognaise is so bad. The plating looks awful and it doesn’t make me want to eat the pasta but it still charged me for 16 pounds for that stupid pasta. Not gonna come ever again!

The food wasn't worth the price. M&S offers better ready made meals! Nothing tasted fresh. We were over charged by £55 The Martini was awful more lemon and ice then actual alcohol. I wouldn't recommend this place nor would I eat here again.

The food was great. I had a pizza. It was large and tasty. The male toilets were absolutely disgusting. The toilets were very small and had piss all over the floor. We were handed the wrong bill but this was fixed once we raised the issue.

food was mid and at the end they charged us more than they should've, probably need a refund. one of the servers was very rude at the end when we had to pay

Just great Italian food and atmosphere sport. I can't believe that I'm going to eat better pasta and pizza in London than in Italy. The atmosphere is typical Italian. The people are super positive smiled and natural friendly. There is reely good piano player giving the vibe as well. We are so lucky that they could find a table for our big company.

This lovely restaurant have been feeding my mum in hospital with their pasta for the last two weeks. So after a visit to see mum my husband and I went for dinner on Sunday. The place was buzzing the atmosphere was fabulous there were families, couples and singles all enjoying the food. We ordered a bottle of Primitivo which at its price point £30 was outstanding, we both had bruschetta to start it was lovely and fresh. I had the Liver cooked in butter and sage this came with fresh vegetables all cooked al dente which I love. My husband, the pescatarian had pasta vongole extra spicy he loved it. We shared a Panna cotta. And rolled our way onto the train home. I would 100% return to this London Gem. I will add the staff were so family and couldn’t do enough for you.

Visited for my daughter's Birthday as it is her favourite Italian Restaurant. Would definitely recommend if you like a fun atmosphere, where the staff are full of happiness. Great food too!

Love the ice creams and good services

I am vegetarian and was given the wrong pasta that had bacon in it. When I told the waiter he did not apologise but shrugged and took away the pasta. They also charged us for the wrong bill and were rude when we explained it was wrong. Horrible, unkind service. A shame as it used to be such a charming restaurant, I believe management must have changed.

Absolutely amazing. The pizza was really nice and when I asked for chilli sauce they gave me really spicy and freshly made sauce and I really enjoyed the pizza. Highly recommended if you love Italian food.

Celebrating a birthday, we were pleasantly surprised when they presented a complimentary tiramisu cake for my friend. The atmosphere was delightful, and despite the busyness, Manuela's service was outstanding, marked by her cheerful demeanor. It's an ideal place for celebrations, offering a fantastic environment. I wholeheartedly recommend the food – a 100 percent satisfaction

A lovely restaurant with great food and service! The pasta is lovely and a good portion size. Service was friendly. It does get very busy on Saturdays so book ahead. The outside seating is very heated - we were sitting outside in 3C weather and were able to take our coats off! Would recommend for families, couples and friends!

Nice authentic feeling Italian restaurant. Very busy but have still let me and daughter eat a couple of times without reservations. Service fluctuates, can see how busy the waiters/waitresses are and the manager can seem a bit brisk BUT the food is beautiful and I would 100% keep going back!

I work around the corner, so go to Ciao Bella at least 50 times a year. Today, I had linguine al pesto, a half bottle of red and an espresso. It is the best restaurant in London. Bar none. De gustibus non est dispuntandum. J x

When I used to work nearby, I ate here quite frequently, but hadn't visited in a couple of years. I returned with friends from school last night. We shared a few starters, had our own individual mains and deserts, with some soft drinks and beers. All were excellent, and everyone intends to return with their families. Personally, I can't recommend the veal escalope in breadcrumbs highly enough. it's excellent.
