Overpriced, small plates served "when they're ready". This was such a rip off. Nice staff, but a complete tourist rip-off. Avoid!

Pretentious, mediocre tasting (at best) Polly pocket size food. Baffled you can be this expensive and stay open in London with sub average tasting food. Come if you like to feel hungry and robbed. Lastly of all the things to make miniature, leave the tacos out of it!

All three dishes overpoweringly doused in Chile making it pretty much inedible. Even the ice cream dessert couldn’t take away the spice.

Taste was good, service was excellent, served quick, seats were comfortable. The portion of dishes were small, but the waiter has reminded me about the size when I ordered.

Very nice food and drinks only complaint is that music is a little loud but that seems to be a London thing !

Dined with friends. Not the best experience. They made us feel like we were a nuisance and they couldn’t wait to get rid of us fast enough. That is apart from one member of staff from the kitchen who was pleasant and food that was of acceptable quantity and value, but we wouldn’t go back again.

Great place for pre-theatre food and drinks

This place has a very chill and easy vibe. Music isn’t loud so you can actually have a conversation with someone (yes I know that makes me sound old), and the martinis were perfect! Very warm and welcoming staff!

The food was delicious, mix of Italian and Peruvian menu with dishes that go well together. Good selection of wines. Excellent service. I’d highly recommend this place and will definitely be visiting again

Loved this place very nice music and vibes. A Peruvian and Italian menue with a wide variety of dishes to share. My favorites were the tortillas, the ceviche, the pasta, the pork ribs, and the chicken. Deserts were exquisite .

A hidden gem in London! Thank you for such an amazing experience! The service was 10/10, the food delicious, the atmosphere great- filled with young, good looking and a cheerful crowd! The best part was meeting Dimitrios, the General Manager who was incredibly welcoming, gave us great recommendations and even invited us to the desserts (wished I had taken pictures of the desserts, but it was gone before I could capture them). I definitely recommend Monmouth Kitchen if you are planning a date for your boyfriend/girlfriend or with a wider group as the menu is all sharing dishes and you’ll be able to try most of them! I would have never paired Peruvian and Italian food together, but it was a great combo! See you soon xx

Not very abundant dishes, but exquisite food. The personnel is very friendly.

Delightful meal! Really good food, which is tapas-like small plates with half the menu as Peruvian and half as Italian options. All were interesting and delicious. Service from the staff (Veliston and Ebere) was attentive, caring and charismatic. Atmosphere was good and everyone was enjoying themselves and relaxed. Not cheap, but worth it for an enjoyable occasion.

I’ve lived in London over 14 years and I’ve never had a table cancelled because of ‘booking errors’ before. I was notified via email, and after dealing with a rude restaurant operator to reinstate my cancelled booking, I was told my 19:00 reservation could be changed to 20:00. They then tried to cancel it AGAIN half an hour before we were due to eat; however, we turned up anyway and were thankfully seated without a hiccup. Sadly, the issues didn’t stop there. We were told the vegan set menu we’d booked wasn’t available anymore (despite booking this through The Fork) and that we had to order off the main menu. Fine. Seems weird but whatever. However, my friend, whose coeliac, was then told she had lots of options to choose from — as long as she didn’t require any flavour, as the sauces were all soy based and the tacos weren’t the corn variety, despite the Peruvian roots. Fine. At this point, we could eat a small village. So, we ordered and received what amounted to distinctly average finger food, which was literally Hors D'oeuvre sized. We then waited a further 25 mins for the mains they forgot to bring out, which they pretended just took longer to cook. Again, bland and blah blah blah. Anyway, the drinks were nice and the vibe was okay and we’re reasonable people, but when we got the bill, it felt like we’d been violated. It cost us over £180 to leave feeling like we could easily gnaw off our own arms for sustenance and flavour. TL;DL: Won’t be back. Don’t recommend.

Overpriced for what it was. The calamari and chicken were okay. The salad and avocado salad were literally 3 cubes of avocado and tons of corn with a few leaves of spinach.

Pre-theater menu Good price/performance ratio, service that needs improvement, ambience chic and modern Ordered a 2-course menu, starter and main course came together, after asking twice, the wine I ordered at the beginning came, after I had finished eating, salt and pepper after asking three times, a plate was also eaten, tab water was given not offered, for one person it would be quite appropriate instead of the expensive Aqua di Parma 0.75.

Classy moody place. Only visited the bar for evening cocktail and small plate but had lovely experience. Cocktails were creative,tasty and very honest. Had a small plate of Pedron peppers too, which was lovely as well. Must complement the service - thoughtful, attentive and very kind without being too much. Atmosphere is very trendy and moody with generic upbeat music. I really enjoyed it, it was energizing and yet peaceful.

Fabulous dinner and overall dining experience - exceptional food and flavours, served by knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating hospitality professionals. We ordered around 6 or 7 dishes (sharing, 4 or 5 smaller plates and 2 larger plates) between three of us and it was simply outstanding. Did not have a single dish we weren’t impressed by. Bonus - you have to love a Peruvian fusion restaurant with a Pisco Sour cocktail section— I stuck with the classic, which was flawless, but the fruitier or more herbal twists looked beautiful as well. Great wine selection as well, with insightful suggestions on which to select by the staff. Highly recommend as a versatile and exceptional dinner spot.

It's an OK place. Nice atmosphere. Although not great service. After 20 minutes of waiting in a nearly empty bar, we had to ask to someone to take our oder as no one was coming.

Stunning food, fantastic service as the staff just couldn’t do enough for us! We went between West End show’s and our food came quickly and at a very reasonable set menu price. Utterly lovely dining experience, would 10/10 recommend. As a gluten free, dining out can be quite stressful, but this was a very relaxing and pleasant dining experience which are rare for people with dietary requirements, in my experience.

One of my favourite places in the center. The service is impeccable. Thank you to the manager who was working last August 26th around 6pm for making a special evening. I also want to thank you to Veliston for giving us an epic night with his service last Wednesday. He made us laugh a lot and was very attentive to every detail. Very good service! (The smoked ribs I do not know if you changed the supplier but they were amazing before .They are not so soft like before but still really good)

Less than average food, served parmigiana with melted but ice cold cheese (meaning it was made in advance and not fresh), 0 seasoning or flavour and way too spicy.

Great for a pre-show dinner in the west end...great line up on the menu. Tapas style for both Peruvian and Italian dishes. We had a great time!

Thank you ever so much for making my Birthday evening memorable! I had spoken with one of the managers Shaun Beck prior to the dinner. Food was pre-ordered and cooked fresh on the night. All orders requested came through & the food portions were satisfying. As I've shared with the team- the ambience, the food, the waiting staff made our night go smoothly and the complimentary birthday cake was the cherry on top!  Thank you. Many of my guests were impressed by the restaurant. Understated, but with vivaciousness & class.

Excellent service & drinks too!! Cosy atmosphere! Sample some of the finest signature Peruvian and Italian dishes with a set menu, perfect for a lunch in the heart of Covent Garden. Choose 3 plates from a variety of dishes, such as Burrata Pugliese, Pecorino and truffle tortellini, and Coffee brûlée, chocolate cacao, almond ice cream and mascarpone amaretto crème. There is a Pre-Theatre Set Menu also ! Catching a show in the West End? The set menu is perfect for a pre-theatre dinner before strolling over to one of the nearby playhouses.

A bit pricey for what you get, nice atmosphere just too expensive for the quality of the food.

@monmouthkitchen is a hidden gem nestled in the vibrant streets of Covent Garden 🥘🍴 From the small plates to the mouthwatering desserts, every aspect of the dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. From exquisite small plates like seabass ceviche and robata king prawns to mouthwatering mains like pecorino and truffle tortellini, every dish was a flavor sensation. And let’s not forget the heavenly desserts - warm Peruvian chocolate spring rolls and white chocolate mousse perfection. Impeccable service and attention to detail made this dining experience truly extraordinary.

Disappointing. A nice space in a nice spot but the food was poor - mediocre quality which made the portions look small, rather than haute cuisine. The fillet was particularly bad - over cooked, dried out and slathered with too much strong sauce. Service was pleasant, but incompetent. Not worth the money.

A misleading place :( The service is slow and rude - they arrived with our main course whilst our starters were still on the table and the waiter asked us to clear our own plates?!. They've got tables on the lovely Monmouth street but you can't eat outside because of "health & safety". They look fancy, but the waitress is is joggings. The menu sounds good but everything is far too spicy. Very disappointing - will not be coming back.

Amazing dinner superbly enjoyable food especially the grilled meat and chicken spiced to perfection and the staff can teach at a many hospitality school especially Aleigha and Lorraine! The manager Lucas runs this ship like a chamber orchestra conductor bravo and I will go again !

Our evening was a delight. The young gentleman, Lucas, was attentive & welcoming & explained the menu to us. The food, flavours & details of each dish were the best we have had in London on this trip. Inclusive of wine, meal & dessert. The atmosphere was modern yet stylish & relaxed. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to our family & friends.

The Monmouth Kitchen is part of the Radisson Blu Edwardion and offers a small selection of delicious food and very good drinks.

The food dishes were hit and miss - some were good (tortellini and orange/avocado salad) but the rest were very small servings yet overpriced. It matches up for a sharing concept and the location, but you can find better value for money and authentic cuisines in central. The bruschetta was dry toasted bread with chopped tomatoes on top - no olive oil, fresh herbs. The burrata came with singular cherry tomato sliced into quarters. It was very minimal and unimpressive for the price point. What are listed as the main/larger plates do not come with any grains or carbs and there’s no side menu to add that - so not really a main, just a more expensive sharing plate (£14 for half an aubergine). The cocktail was just ok - no standout flavour.

Came here for an early dinner on Saturday. Service, food, drinks and atmosphere were all good. I had the sea bass cerviche, beef carpaccio and lamb cutlets and I left feeling full but also like I wanted to order every dish again I like them so much!

The food was amazing and staff were so solicits. I have a mild allergy to chilli but they made sure no food had cross contamination. They could not do enough!

Service mixed, front of house bad, waiter trying hard and nice enough. Food awful, two dishes literally inedible. Had to go and eat elsewhere afterwards.

We had booked a table but had to first wait 10min in the cold entrance followed by being placed in the bar area where they thought they could seat us. My friend had booked the table and double checked, she had booked a proper table, not the bar. We were then seated at the first table next to the entrance (beginning of December) and said this was too cold. After three waiters rolled their eyes about this, they placed us at another table. We ordered and when the waiter brought the cocktails, they fell on me and my beige leather pants. He felt super sorry and was very nice but then someone higher up came and told me to wash them. I kindly explained to him that these were in fact vintage leather pants. He then said to bring them to the dry cleaners and send them the bill. The dry cleaner tried everything but they aren't as before and it was 80 pounds. I sent Monmouth kitchen the bill and was ignored. In January I went there and was personally received by someone called Luiz who told me to send the mail to him, as the reservations mailbox was managed by multiple people. Luis has ignored me ever since as well. This place has the worst management and service I have ever experienced and the food wasn't even extraordinary. Don't recommend this, unless if you want to pay 80 for dry-cleaning on top of the expensive food.

Dear followers: today we are telling you about a restaurant. Food: stupid schnitzel, wonderful ribs, extraordinary corn, excellent prawns, tacos, sea bas and many more. Atmosphere: beautiful and great toilets, weird, agressive and unkind servant. In conclusion: hop by.

Had a starter, main and cocktails - corn and avocado salad, looks were deceiving and it was glorious! - mix of breaded chicken, aubergine and salmon with kale and chilli. Perfect flovoura perfectly cooked. - Cocktails were superb Not over in Covent garden much, but will certainly revisit if I go there again.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but wanted to experience Peruvian & Italian flavours. We ordered a variety of dishes, suggested by the helpful waiter. The food was delicious, and dishes able to share between two. I especially enjoyed the ribs, as the portion was plentiful.

I came here with old school friends for our regular meet up. This is a lovely place to eat. Staff were friendly. The food was exceptional. Premises were spotless. We will go back.

Set menu not worth the money. We last minute booked this place based on the reviews and unfortunately we didn’t enjoy it. Originally booked as a party of 5 and we then had a further 2 people join us shortly after (tube strikes so we were unsure they were going to make it) the staff happily accommodated the last minute request which was great but it went downhill from there unfortunately. Service was choppy, half the party getting drinks before the other and then the food was the same. Majority of starters arrived and then some after the others had finished, then the mains came out in the same way. The mains themselves were disappointing, we mainly ordered the salmon and the chicken, the salmon had no accompanying dishes - it was literally two small pieces of salmon on a plate. The chicken came breaded which was not stated on the menu and lacked flavour, thankfully this was served with a side of lacklustre soggy kale although well seasoned which made it tolerable at best. I also didn’t appreciate that the staff started the clear plates while some of our party were still eating. Honestly it wasn’t the best experience, unfortunately (and perhaps luckily for me) my father was paying the bill and didn’t want to complain so nothing was said on the day which I now regret . The £32 service charge chucked onto the bill would have gone unpaid if it were my choice. I would suggest the pre set menu is reviewed in the future but as for now I will not be returning.

The venue is beautiful - aesthetically this is a really great space. The tables are a little too close together so the seating space feels a bit tight without much room for privacy but the rest of the interior is lovely. Food-wise there is a really great selection of dishes. They are tasty dishes but they don’t all come out at the same time. We ended up eating at different times to each other which was quite frustrating as it’s nice to eat altogether but the quality of the food was very good. Decent service and our waitress was very warm and welcoming.

Had to pay £5 per person for them to cut a birthday cake (we had brought it with us). So for eight people, we had to pay £40 for them to literally just cut it. Ridiculous. Nice food but small portions.

Stumbled on this place with my friends on Christmas Eve and it was such a perfect place to spend the evening. The staff were so lovely, especially the manager, and the food was great as well. It’s a mix of Peruvian and Italian and were really pleased to have visited. We had the Pisco sour cocktails, tempura, tuna tacos. The bathroom was nice for pictures too. 😊

Classic but very nice location. The food is a mix between Italian and Peruvian cuisine. Average food quality. They are portions designed to share (similar to tapas). Service a little slow.

Great decor but that’s about it. Had booked a table so they were fully aware that we were arriving, however sat at the table with no water or menus for 10 minutes. After 30 minutes had our order finally taken. We needed to follow up on one of our share plates as it had been missed by the kitchen. Not sure about the Peruvian style of the restaurant as all of the meals we ordered from that part of the menu, came with the exact same sauce and way too much of it (very overpowering, but nice). The only reason this review is a 3 instead of a 2 is because the crispy skin bass was a standout meal from the rest we ordered and also in London itself.

Walked in the place without any reservation...and was accepted since it was still early (5pm). First time for us. The treatment from receptionist to service crews were amazing... Peruvian food...spare ribs and tacos are a must. Though the quantity of food is much lesser, it's a place for many to chill out especially if you are not in a mood to eat more. Will definitely visit the place again if I visit London next year.

Must return. Bouncy music, excellent service, tasty Peruvian and Italian flavors, with chilis I have tasted but two or three times in my life (see SLO, CA Peruvian restaurant). Will come back. The ribs were worth scraping the last bits of flavor from the iron pot. Maybe I need to go to Peru.

The staff are so rude to each other, you can overhear their arguments, over priced and the food was below average.

I would not recommend this place. Food was confusing, not creative. Too much Peruvian influence in the dishes. The biggest problem was the attitude of servers. Too rush, too pretentious without the quality. A shame really.

Giving one star because I can’t put -5. Service was disgusting, four different waiters who had no idea what they were doing. Wasn’t offered drinks through out the meal, table of 8 just left in the corner with empty glasses throughout. Only got a second round of drinks because I ordered them quickly after the first because of how long the first round took. Food slammed down on the table. Bread that didn’t turn up for starters or mains yet it was the waitress that offered it in the first place. Then when we told the waitress the bread was missing after our main meal she offered us the bread…for dessert…like what is that about. At the end ended up walking out to the front desk to pay because we were ignored and drink-less and to take the service charge off, host and wait staff still had no idea what to do and couldn’t even work out how to split the bill in 3. Three different card machines didn’t work and it ended up taking 20 minutes just to pay and get out of there. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, many empty tables when we were eating. Never again. Work on your customer service ASAP.

After spending a day vieiwng christmas lights in london and particularly govent garden, my partner and I walked past and decided we wanted to stop in for a quick drink before heading to dinner. It was around 5:40pm this Monday evening and very mich not peak time. We were greated by the waiter who asked if we had a reservation. Bearing in mind, out of all the tables available about 3 or 4 were occupied. We informed the gentleman that we did not have a booking and just wanted a quick drink but we were turned away immedietly for not having a booking. It was quite obvious that the waiter simply did not want to serve us and it was quite embarrasing as all the guests had noticed at this point. It was before 6pm on a Monday evening with nearly every table free so I found this excause quite laughable. We felt like undesirable clientale and I found it to be quite insulting and we left embarrased. Please do better going forward and do not be so judgemental. It was clearly not 'fully booked' as the waiter had suggested at least not at that specific time. I would not reccomend based on this experience. Instead of being made to feel welcome we were made to feel extremely undesired as guests. Do better.

I only take the time review places that leave a positive impression and this is one of them. Although for some, portion sizes are small, if you approach the meal with a tapas sharing mentality, you'll have a great meal. Superb tacos and prawns!

We made a booking through The Fork but unfortunately due to a miscommunication the restaurant did not have a table for us when we arrived. Adiba, the hostess, went above and beyond and found us a table in their fully-booked restaurant. We had a most enjoyable evening and the food and service were delightful. We will gladly return but this time we will book directly with the restaurant! Thank you again Adiba.

The atmosphere of the place is great! The food was really good, and one of the waiters (Lobsang, hopefully spelled correctly) was very friendly and sincerely interested. He could also really tell about the food, which we really liked. Also delicious red wine! I'd definitely recommend!

Booked dinner for a Tuesday night for four people, on arrival (after having ordered drinks) was told that the restaurant was actually closed and that we’d be offered a very limited menu. Claimed that they had called us in advance to tell us this but they had not. Decided to eat elsewhere and asked for two of our four drinks which we had ordered to be complimentary, but were told this was not possible but we would be able to order from the room service menu of the hotel above as an apology. Terrible service at a restaurant we were excited to try

Disappointing! Food is average and overpriced. £18 for 3 chicken skewers that are drowned in spice. Tacos were good but very small. I’d definitely be looking for somewhere else.

The wine list wasn’t extensive and the wine that I had was very poor. This is in an excellent location but once inside the atmosphere was subdued to the point of non existent. A lot of room for improvement.

A wonderful welcome then great service and a fantastically good trio of bruschetta dish. Very glad to say that was our 'worst' dish of the meal. The other 8 were incredibly good, even better. This was my second visit because it was so good before, some years back, but I certainly wasn't disappointed. Nice mix of Italian and Peruvian dishes. I was slightly put off by the 25/head possible fee when booking if we cancelled within 24 hours. But glad I went ahead and booked. Fabulous. Must not leave it so long to return.

Overpriced, service with an attitude and to put it more bluntly: simply not as tasty as other options in the nabourhood. Price/quality is simply not OK. Both food & drinks are expensive. The interior decoration is nice and has a exclusive feel. Only time I was inclined to not pay the service fee since we felt that the people serving us had zero interest in actually doing this job.

I went to meet friends and it wasn’t too noisy so we could actually hear each other even though it was quite busy. Food was tasty and service was good. Portion size for all of us was on the small side so knocked of a star for that.

Good place for cocktails but not for food. We ordered tacos expecting at least to be tasty for the price we paid. Not value for money.

Great ambience. I would happily return for a glass of wine, but I’m not in a hurry to come back for dinner. There’s nothing wrong with the food, but unfortunately there it was nothing spectacular either. Food-wise, I thought the calamari dish was the best, fresh and crispy with good seasoning. The coffee brûlée, on the other hand, was rather abysmal.

Amazing restaurant and better service from Crizal

Lovely place with small tapas-style dishes. We ordered 5 dishes to share for 3 people and were satisfied with the portions. The arancini balls were fantastic and so was the fried squid. The nduja pizza was was small for the price and lacking in flavour. The ceviche was flavourful but nothing special. We loved the cocktails. The service was great and everyone was very polite.

Tried this place while visiting London with my wife. Great menu and very pleasant design. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
