I can honestly say what a great place to dine, the food was delicious couldn't say anything bad about this place.The people in Royton are very luck to to have such great place to dine.

Table booked for eight didn't get seated till 8.25 had to sit upstairs lots of children running around ordered 7 starters one overcooked one overcooked and dry mains arrive all ok but waiters kept kicking chairs so had to move chair nearer table so we didn't keep getting knocked waited 30 min for plates to be cleared did not ask if we would like sweets so asked for bill and left will never go back it feels like the owners are more interested in making money rather than making for a great atmosphere

Came for Father’s Day booked online, got sat down at the bar till table available got forgot about there was a 90th birthday party on. We had been previously since the opening of the new extended Mazzo had a poor visit then felt rushed and food not upto scratch said I’d leave it a while till it settles down. Went again definitely fell out with it has got too big can’t cope with the customer service and the food was awful.

We went for our Ruby wedding anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. My Linguine was just delicious as was the tiramasou. The service was very quick and friendly considering it was very busy. The restaurant just seemed particularly noisy but that was probably due to the amount of diners. We will definitely go again.

Absolutely top notch in every respect. Looking forward to our next visit. Amazing food and service, we are lucky to have a restaurant of this quality in our locality.

NY Pizzza was AMAZING!! Waitstaff and manager Alexis were hospitable and hard working. Juan was a wonderful waiter and really took great care of us. Best pizza in Huntsville!! A place I've always wanted to visit, but being I hate to admit it, a little obsessed with value for money have always been just a little reluctant to try. So when I did succumb, first impressions were excellent. The venue impresses. The service is exactly what you expect and more and the food doesn't disappoint. What for me let's the place down is the acoustics. The busy it gets the noisier it gets, not in the way of a background hum, but in the way of a cosy intimate meal for two becoming not so cosy, but rather one of finding it difficult to have a quiet conversation. Not the fault of the waiting staff or the chefs who just couldn’t be faulted but enough that we decided to go home for a coffee.

We went last Sunday ,for My daughters birthday, her choice. The starters were lovely and the garlic bread. I ordered the chicken in garlic butter. It is the most vile meal I've ever tasted it was a thin slice of chicken, smothered in greasy butter. My Hubby ate my my meal as I couldn't eat it . We swapped . He ordered the crab linguine... no crab , just a salty pasta with a few flakes of crab . Very dissatisfied and ripped off £220 quid.. could make a better meal myself! The restaurant is gorgeous! But your food Is going to let you down!

Food wasnt too bad, unfortunately no vegetarian/vegan cheese option. Just the standard Parmesan is used which has animal rennet in it. A little disappointed as the mains could’ve done with some cheese. And no halal option, not much of a vege option either. I messaged a day before to ask but 3 days on i still have no reply back. Nice big portions and service was fast and friendly staff.

Unfortunately, my partner and I had a distressing experience at this venue. Despite informing the waiter of my pregnancy and requesting cautious food preparation, we both suffered from severe food poisoning after dining here. The ambiance and initial impression were promising, but our enjoyment quickly turned into a nightmare. I was even rushed to the emergency room by ambulance due to the severity of the illness. Prior to leaving a review, I reached out to the restaurant via email to share our experience in the hope of preventing similar incidents in the future. Regrettably, my email was ignored. This lack of response reflects poorly on their commitment to customer safety and satisfaction. Please be aware of the risks associated with dining here. Until the restaurant takes proactive measures to address food safety concerns and responds to customer feedback responsibly, I advise extreme caution before considering a visit.

Great food, not too expensive and good service in a lovely surrounding

Food always been lovely when visited.

First visit and couldn’t be more disappointed. The garlic bread was lovely but that’s where it ends. We were a table of 8 so did expect to wait however after an hour, the pasta came and it was completely tasteless. Our visit was on a Friday night so the restaurant was busy and unfortunately that reflected on the poor service. The waiters were very cold and abrupt. The bill was extortionate for the quality and experience of the meal. We will not be visiting again.

My second visit here but first visit since it moved to larger premises (next door). Very nice restaurant, good atmosphere and excellent, attentive service. It has a glass wall which is very drafty and of course we're in March. However, as soon as we mentioned it a kind waiter closed all the curtains in our seating area and turned on a heater on the ceiling. Now to food and drink. My starter was meatballs in a sauce with warmed Italian bread. It was very nice but very spicy. For my main, Lasagne. Molten lava hot when served. Very generous portion, alas I couldn't eat it. It was SO salty, dry and quite unpleasant for me, and very sparse with the meat. I mentioned that it wasn't up to scratch to the waiter, he said they're premade. After being told nothing happened so I left it sadly. Pudding was a juicy chocolate and strawberry cheesecake which was delicious. Our wine went down a treat though.

Visited Mazzo’s yesterday. We ordered starters and mains. Our waiter appeared to be disinterested in our table. It took along time for our order to be taken. The service was slow. The meals that were presented to us were lack of taste and not enjoyable. One of the party had pizza. It was very dry and tasteless. I have previously dined at the old Mazzo’s, of which was 💯 delicious and the service was excellent. Very disappointed on this occasion!

Lovely place with nice atmosphere and good selection of food on offer, service was good but not great which is why I have them a three. Food is lovely.

Avoid if you have an allergy. One of the most uncomfortable experiences I've had at a restaurant. I was asked to sign a document at the table shortly after ordering. When I questioned it, I was told it was because I had an allergy. I was given no foresight or information about this document and had to press the manager to find out it was so they could avoid legal action. By regulation it's the restaurant's responsibility to either provide a safe meal or refuse service. It's also a no-no according to the FSA to ask customers to sign a disclaimer of any kind. I hope, but after being told I was overreacting I'm not holding my breath, that the management takes this seriously.

New place is good ,great decor and staff,plenty of parking,excellent food and service

Mazzo looks great. However for a first time visit I couldn't be more disappointed. Bread & Olives for starter turned out to be a piece of toasted bread and a poppadom. Not a single bowl of olive oil or balsamic vinegar to dip. Dry toast it was then. The lobster ravioli was OK, but after 4 bites it was gone. Not much for your money with this dish. The portion size wasn't great. Expected a lot more for £70

Went to Mazzo's for the first time in a while, we were very happy with our choice. The food from starter through to dessert was lovely, no complaints at all, only compliments. All the staff were very friendly and efficient, good value for money in a very nice venue, would recommend a visit and we will definitely return.

Good food but not great customer service, spoilt our night. Charged us for glasses (more money) instead of a bottle, when not our fault it’s the last not quite full bottle! Very disappointing.

We have previously visited and it was lovely. Not sure if this time being a Friday evening 7pmish. We were seated in the extension glass section. 2 seater table. The food was lovely. The noise from large parties of particular girls loudly swearing constant foul language. Nipping in and out after having a smoke. Saying it f**kin pissing down..along with numerous other things. The issue we have is the young male waiters seemed to not bother for the other diners..who clearly were not happy..the waiters need to engage with all customers present not just the young girls. Waited for coffee for quite a while and the waiter then asked us if we were waiting for our main meals. 😂. He moved our plates not 20 minutes prior. Hmm. Think they need more training. I would hate it to affect a great business.

Once again 5 stars all round perfect Service, fantastic atmosphere and the most amazing food .i recommend to absolutely everyone you will not get food or service like this any where else at prices like that in royton/oldham .

Hi paid £5-70 for a pint of peroni you would expect for half a pint it would be half the price of the above price but it was £3-75 for half i don't get it ?

We fined at Mazzos for my birthday my husband had the ribeye steak I had fillet steak his was nice but mine was awful,when asked if all was ok with the meal I expressed a concern with my steak being tough to cut (a fillet should slice very easy) and the waiter said it isn't the meat it's the knife ( it was a steak knife ) didn't offer a new one and walked away. I didn't finish the meal I left about half the steak I couldn't chew and swallow one piece for the price of nearly £30 I expected better.How a waiter knows about the quality of meat in the restaurant is beyond me. Won't be going again.

Overpriced, overrated, average food

Disappointed with our food...1st time at New Mazzo..for daughter's birthday....been to the (old) Mazzo many times before they'd moved ...not worth our £112 we paid...doubt we will return...

Tried new to menu - flavours absolutely amazing and perfectly cooked. Staff so friendly yet unintrusive. Had beetroot starters - very thinly sliced beetroot with rocket, goats cheese and pineapple nuts sprinkled over drizzled with a beautiful light dressing mwah. Mains was Hake - cooked to perfection - with glazed carrots and parsnip mash - what flavours mmmmh. Plenty of choice for wines - had the Reisling Off, went perfect with the fish.

Celebrated my 40th birthday with family and friends. 25 of us were there and the team were great, food was great and everyone had a great night. Thank you to all the team at Mazzo. We will be back soon.

Great genuine Italian food . Great atmosphere. Excellent attentive staff . Excellent. Your seated quickly as is possible looked after from you enter until you leave . The food is perfect . Anybody saying or rating it less than I have . Is simply not being truthful or fair. Miss it miss out .

Was charged £90 per head for Xmas day (fair enough our choice) then they added mandatory service charge based on percentage of total bill plus what we drank - £53 utter disgrace to add when we are already overpaying for an overpriced meal not good guys

From fitting our family booking of 9 in (that then turned to 10) at very short notice, to the delicious food and exceptional service, everything was just perfect! 24 hours before our family Christmas pantomime trip, we were struggling to find somewhere to eat. Mazzo's sorted us out and we had a fantastic experience. Food, staff, service, atmosphere were all just lovely! First timers here but we'll definitely be back. If you're in the area, just go! Called in with my partner Saturday afternoon. The whole experience was very relaxed and enjoyable we had pizza and spaghetti which were both excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient and we will definitely be returning soon. Thanks mazzo once again

A lovely restaurant. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was amazing. Atmosphere was great - only little thing was it was very noisy because it was busy and after an hour or so there was a band on. This was okay for us but my elderly parents struggled to hear or join in our conversations. Would definitely go again but probably with friends/younger family members. Thank you for a lovely night!

We had a lovely meal here which we had booked a few days before. The service is very good and the staff very helpful. The pate is gorgeous and then I had the linguini with king prawns. There are plenty of prawns and the sauce is very flavoursome

ordered a pizza I think it needed a little more time in the oven I like mine crispy and the cheese brown , they did not give you a choice of how you liked it it just seemed under cooked.

Had a great meal here lady behind the bar was a bit rude but they sorted it out quickly but the waitress was spot on there was 17 of us and the service was spot on I had mussels to start delicious and a fillet steak which was to die for and the interior is lovely well worth a visit

Really good. We were a group of 7. Service was excellent, friendly and responsive. Food was excellent and a lovely venue. Slightly off the main road with road parking and a car park opposite. I would definitely return. Excellent for larger groups. Deposit required but this would only have been taken if we hadn’t shown up.

Great little Italian restaurant Lovely food. And fab atmosphere

We came across this place last minute and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a lovely feel on entry. The food was great, we both enjoyed what we had. The only downfall was the service wasn't amazing. It felt a little like people were just going through the motions and were not happy we were there. If the service matched the food, it would have been exceptional.

Food good, service excellent, upstairs was a little noisy for my taste but it has private booths, ground floor was modern with well spaced tables, prices were reasonable.

Fabulous place. Beautiful setting. Attentive staff, lovely food & varied menu. The bruschetta with crab starter was amazing!! Just celebrated a family birthday and ended up in there for several hours! Waiting staff were excellent and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Never felt any pressure to leave. Cocktails were spot on and the atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommended.

First visit, very clean and smart, sat in corner out front so had a great view, staff were very attentive and polite, food excellent, not rushed, or served slow so we drank more. Lovely place and lovely food...I just needed something quick and tasty. Did a great gluten-free prawn pasta for me.

Located on the harbour, relaxing atmosphere, great views of the bay. Food was tasty and plentiful. Recommend Baklava with ice cream dessert. Could share between 2 as large portion.

Staff were professional and welcoming. Drinks selection was great, had a really lovely Italian white wine that was delicious. I went with one of the specials and almost licked the plate clean. Deserts are huge and amazing. Will definitely visit again and recommend to others.

Lovely food and very efficient staff but it was spoilt by noisy swearing table right next to us! We couldn't here ourselves talk such a shame it would have been perfect.

Extremely disappointing given all the good reviews. Rude staff, horrible customer service. Food had a piece of hair in it and we were still made to pay. It is also extremely loud in there, you need to shout to be heard. Will not be returning.
