Back from Italy wanted an Italian meal, came here, it's just lovely. Friendly staff, good service and spotless. We loved the food. Very reasonably priced and ticks all the boxes. Style of the place is divine. Good seats, comfy, and we could have sat for ages. Keep shining in Royton. A landmark!.

Been several times over last few weeks, always busy mid week which is a good sign, food and service always been very good.

It was the best stake i ever had but you changed the way you made it, you can see from the pictures in the review that you don't need to put it in a soup of sauce, its just way too much sauce in the same plate where the stake is, its like eating a stake soup. Also you should use bigger glasses for cocktails, if you top up the glass without leaving 3 millimeters between the edge of the glass and liquid its not good, get yourself nicer glasses for coctails, leave 5mm gap from the edge of the glass. Most of the staff is polite, but not all, you could improve that aswell. Always approach customer in same manner, and politely answer all questions from the guest, no prejudice, just be kind to anyone in equal way, its not a rocket science but most of you figured that out. The chairs, that plays a crucial role in restaurant business, you want the best chairs, it effects the mood, the chairs, the service, food quality, prices.. Prices are good, you are focused on smaller menu and more like pizza /pasta restaurant what is to expect since you are Italian restaurant or want to be italian restaurant, i am not sure yet since i haven't tried pizza. It is good with things to improve.

We booked a table for my daughters 30th at least 4 weeks in advance and on the day of the meal I phoned to check we could drop a cake and balloons off to be told there was no reservation. They did say they could accommodate us but then when my partner went with the cake etc he was told again no booking!! My daughter rang and they then said they had found the reservation. Food was ok but when you pay £30 for a main you expect it to arrive with roasties and veg - filleto Rossini served with fries which were very salty and no veg. Also when they brought the cake out I had to remind them about the candles that I had bought - I had bought a 3 and a 0 candle but they stuck two used plain candles in it from the side of the till.

Food was excellent, service was attentive, atmosphere was nice. You get what you pay for.

Food was very salty, the manager is rude and locked the baby changing facility meaning we couldn't change our baby, we have eaten here alot but we won't be going again

Mothers Day . Food was fabulous. Family of 7 well one baby . Staff friendly , helpful out waiter was called Francisco lovely guy . Felt little rush but it was super busy and to be fair to the restaurant they did tell us we only had 2 hours but it’s not a lot of time for 7 people to eat food and drink wine . But the food the wine the staff was all wonderful . Great Mother’s Day

This place was recommended quite a few times to me, i feel it was over hyped. Ive rated it good as it wasnt awful but there were a few dishes on the menu that were odd……scallops in a chinese style sauce being one of them. My food was good, but not amazing. The restaurant is really loud, not ideal for a chilled family meal! The bill was really cheap which was a pleasant surprise. Dont think we will be back though.

Was seated immediately as had booked table for mother's day. Pleasent and attentive staff. Food came really quickly. Was excellent. Only complaint was since moving to bigger venue the menu seems to have not as much choice as in previous years. Still would highly recommend.

Very very good Italien restaurant. The food was superb and worth the wait. The service was good and always near when you needed them. One star is deducted - and this has been posten before - because it can be very loud. But worth the visit.

If there was an option of 0 stars it would be a fat 0. Staff are all unfriendly, they put the phone down on me when I rang up to say my order was incorrect after we waited 40 minutes after they said it was ready to collect online then turned the phone off so can’t ring through at all any more. Would never ever come here again it was cold to start with neither mind being incorrect then the very poor rude customer service. Also lots of underaged kids without adults drinking alcohol & vaping in the walkway inside

After hearing good things about this restaurant I felt really underwhelmed after my experience. The second you sat down the waiter was asking you what you wanted no time to relax and browse the menu. When we did order the food was out in a couple of mins which for me is not a good sign as it seems it was not made to order and it certainly tasted that way. The bread was soggy for our starter and the main dish pasta was over cooked with no real taste, even though me and my fiancé picked different dishes the sauce was the same. I have eaten better microwave meals and that is no joke !! It gets two stars as the cocktails were ok but the food was shocking

Had a lovely 3 course meal. Food amazing and staff friendly and nothing is too much trouble. My first visit but will not be my last definitely going back and would highly recommend

Tried ringing this restaurant several times to ask if they serve gluten free pasta , as now can’t tolerate it ( missing pasta dishes ) and used to love visiting this restaurant, no option to leave voice message , don’t want to email as would like to speak with a person / chef , oh well - if your gluten free and wanted pasta avoid this restaurant as they can’t answer the phone to customers

Went here with friends. Very busy, but food, staff, and service were excellent. Very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend it. The only downside was we were sitting in a corner on a table with a gas fire in the middle. Consequently, there was no leg room under the table, and it got quite warm.

1st visit won't be our last. Fantastic atmosphere lots of room and very very clean ,plenty of staff and kept very busy in a nice way , on street parking drinks a bit pricey but food well worth it 👌 will be returning , a definite must if you've never been

Excellent restaurant. I am a gluten free eater and it’s not often I go to a restaurant and I’m able to order things such as pizza and pasta as there are GF options. I was delighted to be able to order off the pasta section. I didn’t want to ask regarding the garlic / tomato bread etc as I often feel awkward asking but the waiter offered to make a half and half for our group - so accommodating, thank you. The food was delicious. Highly recommended.

The food was excellent but we were ripped off with the wine. I asked for a glass of Barolo but the size was never discussed. The server (not to my knowledge) gave me a large. This was more than double the normal glass and cost£17 for the glass. I went back to query this today, but the management only offered an apology and they would speak to the staff. Make sure before you order. I also thought the table was bad. It had a stupid fire pit that wasn’t even lit in the middle of the table taking up all the room. It was also surrounded by a glass tank for safety. It was like a barrier between us all. I couldn’t even reach the table properly because of the straw seats.

Hands down the worst meal I have ever ever been served! Scallops over cooked then returned raw and full of oil. The rest of the food followed to the same standard. Soggy over cooked and just vile. Definitely won’t eat here again!!

over rated, pretentious and expensive, food that came was okay but everything was an extra and for the cost very poor value for money, the staff on this occasion were okay and we were a big group, so I know that affects things. but I certainly won't be rushing back, Seems to be popular with the Botox riddled wannabe wags so if you are in style over substance you might enjoy it.

Came here with friends. First impressions were good and we began by ordering cocktails which took quite a while to arrive. The waiter was very helpful and got my plain eater husband's order correct. The starters were lovely. My caprese salad was one of the best I've ever had and my husband really enjoyed his pate. The mains were a little disappointing. My lobster ravioli did not have much filling at all and my husband said his steak did not have much taste except the overpowering pepper.

The place looks really cozy and high end the moment you walked it however not matching with its atmosphere and food quality offered. Place was really loud even with no background music even put on, you will hear lots of laughters and even kids crying and shouting next to you. Service was average, except the managers were nice the other waiter seems to be in a rush as he will soon turn around when we didn’t even finished our word. No check back during the meal and wouldn’t refill water. Menu information was wrong with labelling a seafood risotto as Vegan? So confusing lol Here comes the main thing… Our main course we’re extremely Salty and mussels tastes really off which put off our appetite immediately. Finally get a chance to feedback to the waiter after paying the full bill, however, no compensation or apologies were given but the explanation was ‘oh yea we know because other customers complained also but chef said there is no problem with the taste’. Genuinely shocked and make me question myself as I am also a restaurant manager - Is that the most appropriate response? First visit and very likely will be the last. Price is relatively cheap out of the market though and probably reflected on the quality.

Steaks should include veg not half tomato and steak plus you have to pay for chips absolute rip off for the price! Potatoes would also have to be paid for to have a decent meal… we love the place and go regularly but you need to up your game to keep us going. Visited this restaurant for my friend birthday. We were a big group of girls excited to meet up each other together in one place, and I must say this place was perfect. We were accommodated in a private room with amazing service. Good selection of Italian food and attentive staff.

Such a hidden gem, firstly, The place is absolutely beautiful, we came last night and just wow!! Even when you go up stairs to the toilet, they’ve put so much effort into making it look beautiful. Whoever did the Xmas decs also needs a pat on the back. Service was absolutely the best!! There was plenty of waiting staff on ( andevery one was so polite) and we didn’t even need to fill our wine glass up as they did it for us. Food/drinks orders were taken promptly, and the food was absolutely Devine! I had the baked mushroom with goats cheese for starter and the piccante pizza for main. So many flavours! Thanks Mazzos for a special night, we will be back! Xxx

Have visited Mazzo's on a number of occasions over the years and the food has mostly been good. Service can sometimes be slow and occasionally confusing as during the latest visit a dish was missed off. Since the restaurants expansion Mazzo's has lost alot of is Italian charm and now resembles more of a food court.

Came here today around 4PM with my girlfriend for the first time and they really did live up to every expectation I had! The gentleman in the suit who sat us down was really funny and set the mood for the night along with a waiter (Name started with E sorry haha) who if it wasnt for I wouldnt have got to try their amazing tiramisu which was the final touch of the meal. The mussels antipasti were absolutely amazing, definitely coming here again.

Amazing hospitality and great choice for vegetarians. The staff and chef accommodated any requests or changes to certain dishes for our group as we were all vegetarians.

Very rude hung up due to my accent very disappointed very disrespectful (wouldn't even sell me the special mermaid breast soup)was really looking forward to it.

Not been to to Mazzos for years but It was very enjoyable. Plenty of choice and a variety of dishes to cater for all kinds of pockets. Staff friendly, attentive and welcoming. Food was well prepared and promptly served. All together a restaurant I can highly recommend with modern furnishings, a lively atmosphere, and lots of return customers from what I witnessed. ONE TO CONSIDER. !!!

Great service and gorgeous food. Just less a star because they don't really cater to kids and the allergy information isn't clear, felt unsure that things were actually suitable.

Food always been lovely when visited.

Food was delicious and decent size portions. Service was mainly good but didn't get a couple of drinks we asked for but did get charged. They were taken off the bill after bringing to their attention.

Would have given 5 stars but waiters are to quick for asking what you want to order! But I do understand that maybe kitchen want orders in as quick as possible! Atmosphere and everything else good, and good value !

Food was really good however I ordered steak and the fries were delayed without excuse and I had finished my steak before the fries had arrived! Not the best!

I can honestly say what a great place to dine, the food was delicious couldn't say anything bad about this place.The people in Royton are very luck to to have such great place to dine.

Table booked for eight didn't get seated till 8.25 had to sit upstairs lots of children running around ordered 7 starters one overcooked one overcooked and dry mains arrive all ok but waiters kept kicking chairs so had to move chair nearer table so we didn't keep getting knocked waited 30 min for plates to be cleared did not ask if we would like sweets so asked for bill and left will never go back it feels like the owners are more interested in making money rather than making for a great atmosphere

Came for Father’s Day booked online, got sat down at the bar till table available got forgot about there was a 90th birthday party on. We had been previously since the opening of the new extended Mazzo had a poor visit then felt rushed and food not upto scratch said I’d leave it a while till it settles down. Went again definitely fell out with it has got too big can’t cope with the customer service and the food was awful.

We went for our Ruby wedding anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. My Linguine was just delicious as was the tiramasou. The service was very quick and friendly considering it was very busy. The restaurant just seemed particularly noisy but that was probably due to the amount of diners. We will definitely go again.

NY Pizzza was AMAZING!! Waitstaff and manager Alexis were hospitable and hard working. Juan was a wonderful waiter and really took great care of us. Best pizza in Huntsville!! A place I've always wanted to visit, but being I hate to admit it, a little obsessed with value for money have always been just a little reluctant to try. So when I did succumb, first impressions were excellent. The venue impresses. The service is exactly what you expect and more and the food doesn't disappoint. What for me let's the place down is the acoustics. The busy it gets the noisier it gets, not in the way of a background hum, but in the way of a cosy intimate meal for two becoming not so cosy, but rather one of finding it difficult to have a quiet conversation. Not the fault of the waiting staff or the chefs who just couldn’t be faulted but enough that we decided to go home for a coffee.

We went last Sunday ,for My daughters birthday, her choice. The starters were lovely and the garlic bread. I ordered the chicken in garlic butter. It is the most vile meal I've ever tasted it was a thin slice of chicken, smothered in greasy butter. My Hubby ate my my meal as I couldn't eat it . We swapped . He ordered the crab linguine... no crab , just a salty pasta with a few flakes of crab . Very dissatisfied and ripped off £220 quid.. could make a better meal myself! The restaurant is gorgeous! But your food Is going to let you down!

Food wasnt too bad, unfortunately no vegetarian/vegan cheese option. Just the standard Parmesan is used which has animal rennet in it. A little disappointed as the mains could’ve done with some cheese. And no halal option, not much of a vege option either. I messaged a day before to ask but 3 days on i still have no reply back. Nice big portions and service was fast and friendly staff.

Unfortunately, my partner and I had a distressing experience at this venue. Despite informing the waiter of my pregnancy and requesting cautious food preparation, we both suffered from severe food poisoning after dining here. The ambiance and initial impression were promising, but our enjoyment quickly turned into a nightmare. I was even rushed to the emergency room by ambulance due to the severity of the illness. Prior to leaving a review, I reached out to the restaurant via email to share our experience in the hope of preventing similar incidents in the future. Regrettably, my email was ignored. This lack of response reflects poorly on their commitment to customer safety and satisfaction. Please be aware of the risks associated with dining here. Until the restaurant takes proactive measures to address food safety concerns and responds to customer feedback responsibly, I advise extreme caution before considering a visit.

Great food, not too expensive and good service in a lovely surrounding

First visit and couldn’t be more disappointed. The garlic bread was lovely but that’s where it ends. We were a table of 8 so did expect to wait however after an hour, the pasta came and it was completely tasteless. Our visit was on a Friday night so the restaurant was busy and unfortunately that reflected on the poor service. The waiters were very cold and abrupt. The bill was extortionate for the quality and experience of the meal. We will not be visiting again.

My second visit here but first visit since it moved to larger premises (next door). Very nice restaurant, good atmosphere and excellent, attentive service. It has a glass wall which is very drafty and of course we're in March. However, as soon as we mentioned it a kind waiter closed all the curtains in our seating area and turned on a heater on the ceiling. Now to food and drink. My starter was meatballs in a sauce with warmed Italian bread. It was very nice but very spicy. For my main, Lasagne. Molten lava hot when served. Very generous portion, alas I couldn't eat it. It was SO salty, dry and quite unpleasant for me, and very sparse with the meat. I mentioned that it wasn't up to scratch to the waiter, he said they're premade. After being told nothing happened so I left it sadly. Pudding was a juicy chocolate and strawberry cheesecake which was delicious. Our wine went down a treat though.

Visited Mazzo’s yesterday. We ordered starters and mains. Our waiter appeared to be disinterested in our table. It took along time for our order to be taken. The service was slow. The meals that were presented to us were lack of taste and not enjoyable. One of the party had pizza. It was very dry and tasteless. I have previously dined at the old Mazzo’s, of which was 💯 delicious and the service was excellent. Very disappointed on this occasion!

Lovely place with nice atmosphere and good selection of food on offer, service was good but not great which is why I have them a three. Food is lovely.

Avoid if you have an allergy. One of the most uncomfortable experiences I've had at a restaurant. I was asked to sign a document at the table shortly after ordering. When I questioned it, I was told it was because I had an allergy. I was given no foresight or information about this document and had to press the manager to find out it was so they could avoid legal action. By regulation it's the restaurant's responsibility to either provide a safe meal or refuse service. It's also a no-no according to the FSA to ask customers to sign a disclaimer of any kind. I hope, but after being told I was overreacting I'm not holding my breath, that the management takes this seriously.

Mazzo looks great. However for a first time visit I couldn't be more disappointed. Bread & Olives for starter turned out to be a piece of toasted bread and a poppadom. Not a single bowl of olive oil or balsamic vinegar to dip. Dry toast it was then. The lobster ravioli was OK, but after 4 bites it was gone. Not much for your money with this dish. The portion size wasn't great. Expected a lot more for £70

Went to Mazzo's for the first time in a while, we were very happy with our choice. The food from starter through to dessert was lovely, no complaints at all, only compliments. All the staff were very friendly and efficient, good value for money in a very nice venue, would recommend a visit and we will definitely return.
