Lovely traditional feeling Italian place. The best Italian food I have had in Glasgow

One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever visited. The food was exceptional, beautiful meals all round. The portions were just the right size. Plenty of decent vegetarian options too. Great drink selection - the wine was lovely, and the cocktails were excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. Very welcoming atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

Have been to this restaurant before and the food was really nice, on this occasion it was great, nothing has changed in my opinion. Can highly recommend this Italian restaurant.

Walked in one night after 9:00 and was told the kitchen closes at 9:00, I just missed it. Fair enough. I walked in again the next night at 8:20 and they said the kitchen was closed. Both nights the restaurant closed at 10:30. The first night I didn't get a bad feeling. The second night it legitimately seemed like they just didn't want us there.

As always the food was pitstand8ng only to be shown up by the wine selection and quality. I love going to Sartis.

Amazing gluten free garlic bread

The staff in Sarti Bath Street are mostly excellent, the pasta dishes are gorgeous, and the atmosphere is immense. The only issue is the 'optional' service charge, the management should take heed of people's complaints regarding this.

If you want real customer service, above and beyond expectation, try Sarti; I was very, very impressed.

Best Italian restaurant in Glasgow by some distance.

Terrific restaurant. Was craving a good pizza and j got exactly that. Speedy staff despite how busy it was. Would go again and again if I could.

Sarti’s is a very good Italian restaurant in close proximity to our hotel. We went to the Bath Street location (there is another one around the corner). The ambiance is lovely, old school Italian restaurant with a large menu. The service is excellent. We shared the mussels appetizer, which was very good. Sangria was excellent and reasonably priced. We shared the lasagna; the portion was very generous, the only criticism was that the noodles were a little too soft (common with that dish), so I would request al dente if I returned. Large selection of pizzas which looked good. Highly recommend!

Where do I start! I’m here as a solo person travelling with work, so it’s always a bit awkward eating alone, but these guys were fantastic. I ate here two nights on the trot! They looked after me so well, the food came out quickly and was sooooo amazing and authentically Italian 🇮🇹 all the way. I had lasagne the first night, as this is always a test and a credit to an Italian restaurant and it was beautiful, great big portion plus garlic roast potatoes. On my second night I pushed the boat out and had the burratta wrapped in Parma ham roasted in the oven and veal milanese for main. Every dish was amazing and the wine (primativo) was gorgeous. Definitely come here if you’re in Glasgow. Best Italian 🇮🇹 I’ve been to. Staff are amazing.

As a family of six we were very impressed with the choice and quality of the food. Service was good and efficient although it took a little time to get the bill!

We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant which serves authentic Italian food. We were seated in a quiet area away from the main dining room which was busy, and the choice of dishes was impressive. All our food was tasty and presented beautifully and the wine choice was good too. The service was excellent, and we were made to feel very welcome. We will definitely be returning.

Fantastic little restaurant that goes on forever, so many tables! Really good food, great service and with the decor, we were reminded of eating in Italy. Will be back again!

Great food, with a big selection of vegetarian options😍 I mean A LOT of options. The veg lasagna was tasty, the soup, the pizza, and the mascarpone pasta were all good. Our waiter Francesco was very nice and very very helpful, gave us good recommendations to accommodate our needs. Thank you! Make sure to reserve as the restaurant is always full.

Sarti has always been great over the years but ate there on Saturday night and the service was really poor. Waited 30 minutes for drinks to arrive and when they did some were missing. Senior staff looked harassed and fed up whilst younger staff were hiding. 2 and a half hours into the meal we had to leave and still hadn't had desserts or a wine we ordered. these still appeared on our bill and had to remind them that they hadn't arrived. They charge 10% service and they agreed to remove that from the bill. The bar looked chaotic with people making cocktails instead of serving wine to tables. Not a great experience - management need to have a think about they come over to the customers.

Recently had a spontaneous meal there with a friend. Everything was great, food was delicious. Only after about an hour, first my friend and then I started to feel really sick. The result was one night and an entire next day of vomiting. Too bad!

I had dinner there yesterday and everything was delicious and good. But after two hours I noticed the signs of food poisoning and had to vomit 5 times during the night. I assume it was the house wine.

Love Sarti! Best Italian in Glasgow. We had a lovely lunch with a great bottle of wine and it’s good value for money. We were in Italy just last month and this place makes you feel like you’re back there. I would really recommend to anyone.

Always well frequented restaurant. Reservations mandatory. The staff is courteous and nice. The atmosphere is like Nonna's kitchen. Without the bling bling. Simply an authentic Italian restaurant. The Scottish mussels are the best I've ever had. Large, very tender and unrivaled in taste. They came in white sauce, red sauce and tomato cream sauce. The Pasta and Lasagne al Forno is good average but with room for improvement. Negroni and affogato were full Italostyle. I can highly recommend the restaurant as a whole. I go here a lot but last night we had a table booked for 7.30 and we were rushed out of there at 8.45 by the manager who was very rude. I get it was busy but we had our table until 9.30 when we booked online. Main course was nice even though I received the wrong food but the focaccia was like bought in and not the usual standard which is weird as my in laws were in the restaurant the same time and theirs was the nice focaccia but ours was poor and far too doughy

My friends and I were staying in Glascow while attending The Open at Royal Troon. Coming back to Glascow after a long day at the course, we were looking for a restaurant with great food, service and atmosphere. Well, we found it at Sarti!! We like it so much, we went both nights we were in town! The menu is very diverse, many specials and alot of options for everyone, including pizza. We had some great appetizers and excellent pasta dishes, all served timely, hot and with fantastic service. (Lucy is the best!!) Nice wine list too. This restaurant will make you think you are sitting in Italy!

First time in the restaurant with family after a show in the Kings Theatre the food was fabulous the 4 of us loved it, the atmosphere was great very authentic u could actually think u were in Italy staff were all lovely and friendly, price was very reasonable for Glasgow Centre, would definitely recommend it we will be back

Heard so many good thing about here. Took my gf for her birthday. Food amazing and service great. Staff went above and beyond for my gf birthday and she loved it. We will be back and I highly recommend it. If only one thing that wasn't great is the seats aren't terribly comfy. We didn't have a booking but staff welcomed us and never ever made us feel rushed at all. Thanks to all at Sarti for a wonderful birthday meal and treat.

Nice food, we enjoyed the food, however tips for the waiter shouldn’t be made compulsory!! if at all, it should be an option for the customer to decide. I was surprised seeing 12.50% tips added to the total bills. Which really increased the amount we had to pay, I consider that to be very unfair.

My partner and I visited on Saturday at 4pm, and the restaurant wasn't especially busy but still had a good atmosphere. Both our meals were lovely and the house red delicious, the waitress was attentive and I liked being able to watch the chefs in the kitchen! Would recommend if you are after good Italian food in an authentic restaurant.

This was amazing. The gluten free bread and pasta were super good. The staff was also super conscientious. My friends loved their glutenous food as well. Best meal we've had traveling.

Not only was Sarti close to our hotel, the food was excellent. We had booked a table, but arriving early were still able to be seated. This is a small place. Our waitress forgot us, but the manager (I assume) made up for her.

This is a proper Italian restaurant so no goats cheese, sun-dried tomatoes or pineapple options for your pizza. I found the food quite basic. There were only two other tables occupied. No atmosphere.

Loved the food !! Loved the service.. so quick.. very warm and welcoming staff.. Loved the vibe and so close to our hotel.. my aglio-olio was sooooooo gooooood and our server topped it with lots of Parmesan for me ❤️ I usually don’t finish the entire plate but I did this time.. it was toooo goooood 👏

When in Glasgow we always come here to eat. We love sitting in the bar area by the front door. It's a homely atmosphere. The staff as always are great and the food is amazing. As it was my wife's birthday treat, we received a complimentary Prosecco, which was a lovely gesture. The lasagne & wild boar tagliatelle was amazing, as was the cannoli sweet. Yum. We would highly recommend this Italian restaurant. See you again, guys.

Always visit here while in Glasgow. Friendly welcome from a staff member who asked if we were celebrating anything special, told him my Birthday, we were seated by the window, and given 2 glasses of complimentary Prosecco, a luvly touch and much appreciated. Ordered our favourite wine Pinot Grigio, bruschetta coppa di Parma to share, then a Tortelli Cinghiale and a lasagne all our food was delicious, piping hot and well presented. I had a sweet, a Cannoli ( a Sicilian pastry with ricotta cream) which came with a candle. We then enjoyed a cappuccino and a caffee francesino which was also very good with a wee Sarti biscuit. There is also a shop area to purchase food items from. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, the restaurant has a luvly relaxed atmosphere, great food and staff. Highly Recommend a Visit. :) :)

Service was excellent and if you enjoy wine you have to try this. Their red wine is absolutely outstandingly gorgeous!!!

Food was gorgeous, I had the chickpea ravioli. Staff were a attentive and helpful, and there was a great range of vegan dishes. I was stuffed but I’ll be back to try the desserts!

Recommended to us by a local gallery owner, this unpretentious restaurant was a gem. The menu had interesting and varied selections of apertivo, antipasti, pasta, secondi, desserts and wines. Service was friendly, efficient, professional and unhurried. It's been a year since we were last in Italy, but this tasted quite authentic to us.

Tried to walk in yesterday but they asked me to wait for 2 hours so I decided to book online! I am totally satisfied with this decision. The servers are very friendly. The food is delicious. The seafood tasted fresh and it feels authentic! The tiramisu too, just wanna have another one! But was too full. Must eat in Glasgow!

Love Sarti, another fantastic meal. Everything was delicious as always. House white wine was great. Particularly recommend Spaghetti Gamberoni, my absolute favourite. Not usually one for dessert but the descriptions were so tempting I had the chocolate and candied orange cannoli which was excellent. Staff very friendly. I highly recommend and will definitely return.

First visit to this place which is a bit of an institution in Glasgow with a loyal clientele. Overall, I have to confess to being a bit underwhelmed and felt the overall price (very pricey for an Italian) and mandatory 12.5% service charge were not reflected in the quality of the food nor in the service. The restaurant was very VERY busy when we arrived and although we had a table booked it ended up as a bit of a squeeze. There were 4 of us, and in every course at least one of the dishes brought to our table was wrong. Although they were quickly replaced it did not inspire a lot of confidence and there was not really much by way of apology. The food we had was ok, not outstanding. The best thing I could say about it was that it was clearly cooked there and then - on the premises, using fresh ingredients which you can't always say about chain Italians. Of the main courses we had - one was great, two were ok, one was a bit lacking in flavour. If you use Tony Macaroni as the yardstick, you would pay about 3x the price for food that is about 1.5x better and service that is not any better by going to Sarti's.

This is the best Italian restaurant in Glasgow. Great selection of wines. The food is fresh and delicious. It’s great fun as there is always a lively atmosphere. Can a restaurant be an obsession? Yes, this is mine. The food is so good and i adore seeing all the wine and Italian groceries.

Family ( 6 adults) night out / dinner at Sarti. Saturday night , very busy and noisy. Basis wooden seating and table ( not very rustic…). Good service , goods drinks menu , reasonable prices for the City. Quite varied food menu , typical Italian fare. Acceptable quality but quite expensive . Watch for the service charge which I object to in principle , at 12.5% …..no tip !. Overall , average.

Best Italian in Glasgow! Great service also!

The place was amazing but the manager was very impolite and seemed angry. The restaurant closes at 1030pm but around 10pm the staff started shutting down the place and seemed like they were trying to kick us out. They were folding tables in front of us which seemed liked they were trying to rush us out the place. At the end we were charged 12.5% service charge which was uncalled for given the service we received. The waiter was really nice and accommodating.

Sunday night in rainy Glasgow, this was a real pick me up. Seafood pasta was fantastic.

Not the best of experiences. Waited 20 mins for our booked table only to find our friends had been seated at the table all the time! Service was so slow. Had to cancel our desserts and coffee as it hadn’t appeared after 20 mins. Food was amazing as usual but wouldn’t return at weekend as it was so busy and chaotic.

Wonderful Italian with authentic food, good wine and a bustling atmosphere. 3 of us had lunch with a delicious bottle of wine and all left having enjoyed some seriously great food. Service was quick and friendly and we all left happy, will definitely return.

Only thing i didnt like was they automatic put 12.5% on the bill as a tip..surely its up to the customer to tip and how much..

This is a very old family run italian restaurant on Bath St in Glasgow. How i had never been here before is a mystery to me. Glad I solved it tonight It is a Hernando's Hideaway sprawling basement kinda place which just reeks of excellence.The minute you walk in the joint you can see that its a place of distinction.My big party had so many different starters and dishes.its hard to describe them all (see pics) For myself, my minestrone soup was the best i've ever had.The pizzas looked so good, i just had to forsake all else and have one, an excellent, baked to perfection thin crust Salami. Everyone said their food was delicious.There are several different nooks and crannies,some great for groups and more private little tables to woo that lady you love or celebrate any special occasion.Thoroughly recommended .

Amazing vegan pasta. Had the best lunch here in December. Atmosphere is good. Staff are attentive. Food is just divine. Was worried coming here as two vegans but we had a fabulous caponata and Tondoni Ripieni con Ceci e Peperoncino. It’s like a ravioli with chickpeas. And the wine list was really good. Highly recommend to vegans and non vegans. I used to come here as a little girl before I was vegan and it was just so lovely to be able to still eat here. I can’t wait to bring my little boy. It looked really family friendly. Left feeling very well fed and just happy. Can’t wait to go back.

Awww, we stumbled upon this little gem feeling a little peckish prior to our departure from Glasgow…. Warmly welcomed into the trattoria we were shown to a cute table. The environment was so authentic and the aromas coming from the kitchen were amazing!! My buddy ordered Wild Boar Ravioli and I decided on “Tortilioni con la Nostra Salsiccia Toscana”, a portion of garlic bread and 2 glasses of Pinot Grigio… The ambiance, was fun, relaxed warm and friendly…. The food delicious!!! Highly recommend a stop off here!!! Once at the airport I found I’d left my scarf behind…. I called them on my return to Belfast…without hesitation I was told it would be in the post for me!! What a service!! 😊

Amazing service!! Above and beyond! My daughter and I were stuck on a delayed bus before a theatre trip and phoned to explain delay. Daniella organised our lunch with 2 glasses of wine to be there within 5 mins of our arrival... incredible service!! And the food was so fab! ... delicious! I think this is the best service I have ever known!!

Absolute gem of a place. It's always very busy which is an indication of how good it is! Food is just delightful, service is top notch with a great atmosphere.

Everything was 5* except for the £5 per head compulsory service charge. I usually give the staff in any restaurant 10% tip... I don't like the mandatory service charge!!

Would give 10 stars if I could Highly recommend for anyone with coeliac disease, going out for food can be so daunting and I’ve never been so well looked after! They explained to me their entire processes without me having to ask and I had several different members of staff confirm that my meal was gluten free. This is the first time I’ve gone for dinner without the absolute fear of becoming unwell a few hours later, you guys made my night!! ❤️

A very varied menu with a range of tempting dishes. The service was good too. My only complaint was the restaurant was full and very noisy which made communication difficult.

The decors a bit 1980s which adds to its charm. I love the food in this place, simple italian food cooked to perfection. The staff leave you alone to enjoy your night, but remain tentative enough to keep you well fed and watered. my favourite place to eat in glasgow.

It's okay... It's too expensive. The wait is too long and what arrives is not well executed. The place needs some life invested back into it. The staff are pleasant and know how to work however it's starting to look like a classic run down Italian restaurant. Hopefully the management can push some investment and pull the place up to par.

Brilliant authentic experience! The menu is terrific and has all the classics and the daily specials are a must. The pizza is also solid.

It’s been a few years since we last visited, so we were a bit apprehensive about previous expectations being met. We needn’t have worried! Everything was just perfect. The restaurant was busy, warm & buzzy and filled with the familiar wonderful aroma of Italian cooking. Staff were delightful, attentive, pleasant and helpful. The food was perfectly executed and absolutely scrumptious. Really authentic, delicious Italian fare. Minestrone soup, mussels in tomato & chilli sauce, spaghetti aglio olio & peperoncino, seafood spaghetti, all 👌. Well done to Sarti’s for not compromising and maintaining such a high standard over decades. We will be back…..very soon⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a booking for 18:30 on a Friday evening for a friends 50th birthday. It was a really hot night, highly unusual for the time of year. We each had a starter and a main and a couple of bottles of wine to share. The portions are a healthy size and the food is delicious. Staff are very friendly and offer a great service. Total bill including a tip was £250. Between 6 of us not bad for a lovely night out with excellent food.

Had a wonderful meal before going on to the Theatre.
