Best restaraunt in Glasgow. As I'm gluten intollerant, being able to have a pizza the same size as a "normal" pizza is just wonderful. Tasted amazing too. Wish more places were like this

I've been going to Sarti's for decades now and I've never left disappointed. The Gnocchi Alla Norcina has been a consistent warm and happy place in my food life for a huge portion of that time and any time I've strayed from that place I've loved what I've had.

Wonderful way to end a trip the delicious Italian meal in the middle of Scotland

The 12.5% service charge added to the bill felt a bit steep, especially compared to places like Harrods in London where the service is truly exceptional and they have the same service charge. While Sarti offers nice food, the service during my visit was mediocre at best. The bill stated the 12.5% charge wasn't mandatory, so I intended to leave a fair 10% tip in cash. However, the waiter went ahead and charged the 12.5% automatically. Restaurants should focus on paying their staff decent wages instead of expecting customers to make up the difference. Disappointing.

Visiting from the USA, this place is a great experience. Authentic Italian food served by a great and friendly staff. Moderately priced with good portions. Atmosphere is a bit loud but tolerable.

Had a lovely birthday dinner here with two close friends. Everything was excellent, nothing but a positive experience.

We went to Sarti for dinner during a visit to Glasgow from Edinburgh, and we had such a wonderful experience. We got filled pepper with ricotta and courgette, involtino speck and mozzarella, baked sardines, focaccia, spaghetti alle vongole and a glass of rosé wine from Abruzzo. Both food and wine were excellent, very authentic flavours, impeccable service and friendly atmosphere. The best Italian restaurant I’ve experienced in Scotland and probably in the UK. Parola di italiana buongustaia!

My wife & I stayed in Glasgow on 6 May. This place was recommended by our hotel receptionist. We had no reservation and the place was rammed on a Sunday evening. We chose to sit outside with a drink. We were shown to a table after a 25minute wait. Really good atmosphere, friendly staff and great authentic Italian food. My wife is a celiac and there are pizzas , pastas and bread- all gluten free. We loved it and would go again. For two of us the bill came to £103 (food plus drinks) including 12.5% service charge. The service charge in most places we go to is 10% so Sarti is a bit of an outlier. A good experience and lively on the night we visited.

Menu is very extensive so it has something for everyone. The staff were really friendly and helpful with the surprise lunch we organised. Food was delicious and with great portions.

As a family we needed vegan and gluten free option and Sarti provided the options effortlessly. The food was beautiful the portions were on the large side, and the restaurant was busy.

The place is lovely. We had the shrimp and mussels for starters, they were good. The mussels were easily the best I’ve had in a restaurant in ages, perfectly cooked. The pasta and wine was also good, we’d go back for sure.

We went for dinner during a recent stay in Glasgow, so much enjoying it we returned the following evening. A warm welcome from friendly and helpful staff. The food was great, notably the seafood risotto which was delicious. And lovely desserts. Busy on both a Tuesday and Wednesday evening. Reasonable pricing. Haste us back!

An almost perfect dining experience, from the atmosphere, to the food to the service all impeccable. Would be lovely to have a date night here. The pizza and the pasta that we had was simply divine.

Went for a birthday and it was beautiful. The dining room is lovely and the decor amazing. I personally had the minestrone and the spaghetti meatballs. The minestrone was delcicious and beyond fresh, very well seasoned and the bread served with was delcicious. the spaghetti meatballs had the best sauce ive had in years and the homemade meatballs were incredible. The table shared a plate of focaccia all'aglio which is a plate of small sections of pizza base cut into triangles. These were delcicious and a really good alternative to bread dishes with garlic butter. Highly recommend Only complaints regarding atmosphere are the bathrooms are incredibly hard to access and the stairs imo defo need renovated. Unfortunately one waiter serving us that evening was incredibly short fused and impatient and bordering on outright rude.

A city centre institution! Never been disappointed in Sarti - terrific food, great ambience and fabulous selection of wines. Seafood is delicious - always a great meal. Thoroughly recommended

My favourite Italian restaurant in Glasgow. Hands down the best. The food is excellent, great portion sizes, great variety, lovely staff, beautiful interior with lots of amazing produce to buy. The panettone I got for Christmas was sooo delicious!

Very nice restaurant in Glasgow city centre with friendly staff and delicious food, also has a gigantic selection of wines though I did not try any on this occasion. I would have happily given 5 stars but when I went to tip the server upon paying, I was very unimpressed to find out that a 12.5% "gratuity charge" had been added on the bill without anyone saying.

Lovely romantic meal for two on a winter Wednesday night, the place was super busy. I need to eat gluten-free and they have GF bread, pizza and pasta. We ate far too many delicious olives (small is plenty for two) with a tomato, rocket, parmesan and olive salad and a pasta plate each. There is a £2 per dish surcharge for GF but so delicious you wouldn't even know. Staff were totally lovely. Absolutely recommend for GF folk. 100% of the discretionary gratuity goes to staff.

Absolutely phenomenal!! Best Italian good I’ve had outside of living in Italy! Had gamberomi and bruschetta appetizers, followed by seafood paste dishes. Absolutely delish!! Chef Stevie is absolutely fabulous!! Entire staff very courteous and efficient!! Very reasonably priced. Also enjoyed a few cocktails and lemonchello. Will definitely go again!

Can’t praise Sarti’s enough. We were a party of 16 last night. 12 adults, 3 children and a toddler. They were so good, especially with the toddler who got lots of attention, bread sticks and ice cream when he was tired out after the panto. He even got a walk with one of the chefs. The food was delicious and the staff were so attentive. It was so relaxed and I had been slightly anxious due the number of us. There really was no need. Thank you all so much.

Went here for lunch. We got the menus and it took 15 minutes for anyone to take our order. We then waited another 20 minutes for bottled beers to be brought to our table, which is far too long. Starter arrived after the main, even though we asked for it to be brought out before. Food was mediocre and we've had a lot better Italian food in Glasgow - how you can serve foccacia burnt on the outside while not properly cooked on the inside is beyond me. Overall a very mediocre experience so won't be back. Edit: As you can see from their reply, this is their "perfectly cooked focaccia". I've had focaccia in lots of places and none of them served it late, burnt, oversalted and proud about it. The one I had can be described in many ways, but delicious is definitely not one of them.

My family and I come here often after a bit of shopping in town, they serve one of the best tiramisús I’ve ever eaten! Their pizza and cannelloni are very light and taste particularly fresh, perfect for lunch! The staff are very friendly and attentive, the restaurant’s atmosphere also channels a fun Italian flare as well! Our favourite Italian restaurants in Glasgow, and that’s coming from a family of vegetarians who normally prefer to eat out in Italians - we look forward to future visits! If you’re concerned about walking a little far/uphill from the centre of town, eating here will make it worth every step!

Been going for 29 years still as good as ever

We visited here on our last trip to Glasgow a few years ago and loved it so we called in just after we arrived on the Friday early afternoon and managed to get a table for lunch. We rebooked for Sunday 3rd December specifically because I wanted to eat here for my birthday lunch. I had the diovelletta pizza and my husband had the bolognaise penne, both of which were superb. It’s a fabulous cosy Italian with a brilliant atmosphere, and great food. We also had brilliant service from our waitresses Bella and Sayali but in particular Bella who had realised it was my birthday so I got a little cake and candle - top hospitality! Highly recommend and should we visit Glasgow again we will most definitely return

Booked a table for a long overdue catch up with old work colleagues. The brief was simple, nice food at a reasonable price and draught beer. We picked Sartis over a few other similar restaurants as they ticked all the boxes. Our catch ups usually consist of a leisurely 2 or 3 courses and a few drinks and much chewing the fat. On arriving at the restaurant we had to wait for our table as the previous patrons weren’t clear. No big deal for us, we weren’t in a hurry. Once seated we went to place our drinks order, but unfortunately there was no draft beer available, only bottles. As a beer drinker this was a huge disappointment to me, more so as the bottles of beer that were available were 330ml which in real terms makes the price of your drink more costly. I may be getting cynical but I’m finding this to be a regular occurrence in restaurants and wonder if it’s an intentional practice to maximize profit? Anyway, due to this we had one 330ml bottle and a main course then moved on. The food was served promptly and was very good, as was the attention of the staff, however the disappointment with regards to the drinks took the edge off our night and accelerated our departure from the restaurant.

Fresh food and well prepared. Pukka Italian. Good sized portions.

We visited in a group of 9. Very let down with the overall experience. We were sat below a vent that was blowing out cold air. We advised the manager who said he would turn the heating up. Which then made it colder. Very strange. Would have expected the manager to check back. However he didn’t ask nor assist again. Most of our dinner party had their coats on. I also noticed other customers wearing jackets too. The tables where put together and of a very poor standard. I was squashed in at a corner and cold. We heard wonderful things about Sarti’s. Food was great. Overall experience was poor. The shared toilets were also a mess. As a group we wouldn’t visit again & would recommend when booking as a larger party you ask about the seating arrangements.

Me & a friend went for breakfast, I asked for the sourdough toast with tomato and Italian ham. I was expecting Milano, Napoli or Ventricina, but instead got a a few slices of packet Wiltshire ham - with mushroom. So when I told the waiter my order was wrong, that I asked for Italian ham and tomato he took it away and came back with the same ham and a few slices of tomato. My friend ordered two breakfast rolls that were un buttered and a bit tough. Sadly the customer service didn’t make up for it, genuinely felt like we were an inconvenience. Given that it was our mistake for coming to an Italian restaurant for breakfast, but it looked busy inside and had a sign outside saying “Breakfast served”. The breakfast menu itself was a bit poor - pretty much just toast, breakfast rolls or an omelette.

Phoned mid-evening to see if they could accommodate a single diner - ‘a table for one’. Response was ‘who is this, Mr Bean?’ Very funny. Have used Sarti for large group (15+) meals repeatedly over the last few years, including Christmas office functions. No longer. If you don’t want my business that’s fine, just don’t be so bloody rude.

When in Glasgow I always come to Sari as it without doubt the best Italian in Glasgow Unfortunately I went on Monday and it was packed solid but managed to get a table on Tuesday - so please book its that popular The food ( sardine starter is one of the best ) is always fresh and the pasta dish of peppers and chicken is really good. Two starters two mains and nice bottle of red £65.00 a bargain Great food great staff

We went here the first night we were in Glasgow without reservation. The manager was very friendly and managed to squeeze us in. The menu is large and attractive and the food was of very good quality. The place looks very authentic and the staff was very friendly. We decided to book for the next evening. We were spontaneously welcomed by our name by the manager. Again we had an excellent meal and decided to return a third time. The third night we were offered 2 glasses of prosecco for our wedding anniversary and once again enjoyed a great meal. We can recommend for the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff !

Amazing food, really tasty and great service. All the staff that served us were very friendly and made us both feel very welcome. My starter, Parma ham and mozzarella was divine. My main dish, penne pasta with peppers in a creamy sauce was equally good. Next time we are in Glasgow we will be reserving a table.

Had a very nice lunch here for a big group (13), it's not every restaurant that can manage this size of group, but Sarti managed with no trouble at all. Great menu and really good food. Goto Italian in the city centre for quick bites, casual meetings and meet ups. Absolutely great staff, consistently good food and brilliant atmosphere. Venue and building due a bit of a spruce up ( cough ** especially the toilets** cough), but everything above easily makes up for it. Recommend dishes: Wild Boar Ravioli and the Cabonara (without the cream)

Visited sarti to try the meat ravioli with ragu sauce and it didn't disappoint. We also had penned deliziose which was also very tasty. Garlic and rosemary focaccia was extremely nice also. Despite a slow start where we waited a while for drinks order, and that some staff looked as if they wanted to be elsewhere, the overall experience was positive. The restaurant itself is quite quaint filled with Italian wines and pasta which can be purchased. Only complaint would be the toilets and the route to the toilets. The stairs felt quite unsafe and were in dire need of some TLC as did the toilets. That said I'd definitely return. Would recommend just be careful on the stairs!

Went here for my mums birthday and we all absolutely loved it! Staff were lovely and friendly, food was incredible, highly recommend leaving room for a dessert here too! They also brought out a special birthday dessert for my mum which was super kind and made our night! Will definitely be back!

Chose this restaurant based on the reviews and the menu, and was so glad we had! I'm gluten free, my husband is vegetarian. Most of the pasta dishes were available gluten free, and there was a large choice of vegetarian pasta dishes - very uncommon! Both meals were delicious. I've also never seen a restaurant with a quicker turnover, whilst feeling friendly with absolutely no pressure to move on. I wish they were close enough to use regularly.

We have just spent 3 and a half weeks travelling around England and Scotland and tonight’s experience of hospitality, service and the quality of meal was the best. I would highly recommend this restaurant to you.

We came here by accident, looking for somewhere to have dinner. It was a great surprise, the pasta carbonara and the homemade tiramisu were one of the best I had.

Great experience for dinner last night. Some confusion with the booking (There are 2 separate sites very close to one another), however this was resolved very easily and with great grace. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was tasty, generously portioned and very good value for money. Two mains plus drinks came to under £40, even with a tip. Good ambience, lovely pictures on the walls of the original family members and just generally great overall. We'll be back - many thanks!

Took my uncle in his mid 80s for lunch. When my 16yr heard he changed his plans and endured an extra 4 hrs of family fun so that he could join us. Exceptional food, and exceptional staff. I can’t rate this place highly enough. I had a tiny bit of pizza left that I couldn’t finish. Anywhere else I would have let them take it away, but when offered the chance to take it home in a box I couldn’t say no. Love everything about this place.
