Amazing food and vibe! Love it every time we go!

Went with 9 friends before going to a show. We informed staff we had an hour and a half before we had to leave. Waited ages to order and had to ask them to take it then Waited ages for the food to arrive. It was cold and black pudding was not cooked through it was raw in the middle. The pancakes and bacon had no maple syrup it took 5 mins for the waitress to go to the kitchen and come back to tell us this she offered golden syrup and again left the table to go to the kitchen and came back to say they had none. She did offer an alternative but we did not have time to wait. One lady got a breakfast roll but it took so long to arrive she took it in a bag . It cost us £12 each for utter garbage.

Recommend the tuscan bolognese and the west coast mussels. Great and quick service. Been going here for over 20 years and it's maintained the same high quality.

Came here for the first time on a Friday in December. Lovely atmosphere, beautiful interior. Waiting staff were all nice and friendly. Xmas Menu is great value for money. I had the goats cheese starter, which was lovely, followed by the chicken breast with sun dried tomatoes, it was fab. For dessert I had the Baileys cheesecake. Top marks for the food. Wine list was good value too. They also do cocktails which we tried but I felt these were a bit pricey for what they were. Overall a great dining experience in the city centre without getting ripped off. Highly recommend it.

Been many times...always excellent regading food,service and general value for money. However the side salad had one little cherry tomato hidden under a mountain of lettuce.

Birthday lunch for my 91 year old partner. Great food and service. Lovely ambience. Still as good as it ever was. Used to go regularly but this was the first visit for a long time and did not disappoint.

Another lovely meal at Antipasti. Came with my mum, sister & best friend. Food was thoroughly enjoyable. Service was good, staff were friendly. Some of us ordered from pre-theatre & some didn’t. I shared anti-pasti board with my mum & then had seafood pasta bake from a la carte. It was great. The value for money is great & definitely worth a visit.

Hadn’t been here for a few years and visited today for lunch. The lunch menu is incredible value, £12:95 for three courses and the food was superb. Starters were bruschetta and pate, both excellent. Main courses Italian sausage pizza and bolognaise al forno again excellent, for dessert Tiramisu and sticky toffee sundae both fantastic. All in all incredible value for excellent food, definitely going back sometime soon.

Originally came for dinner on Saturday, but it was already fully booked. Only on Sundays, the restaurant does not have a mezzanine floor, the distance between the tables is moderate, and the place is clean. Since I had lunch very late before, I simply ordered risotto and spaghetti for dinner. The risotto is well cooked, juicy but not hot enough, and the risotto is cooked through without the typical problem of undercooked rice centers.

We visited for the first time to try out the pre-theatre menu. The food was very reasonably priced and the portions generous. My husband had pate and I had prawns as the starter, to follow my husband had steak and I had the chicken pasta dish. The steak was cooked to perfection and the pasta dish was loaded with chicken. Unfortunately we have no photos as we wanted to just enjoy our food but I would certainly rate the food as 5*+ All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly and I would like to mention in particular our server, Charlotte, who despite the restaurant being very busy due to a large party being in, was on hand to take our order, check in with us when we received our food and to clear our plates away when we had eaten our food but we certainly didn't feel rushed. I would certainly recommend this place as the food, in my opinion, is of very good quality and the place has a nice feel. We will definitely return soon to try some of the other dishes on the menu.

Amazing place.....food was fantastic .....restaurant was very clean and tables set out well....there were 8 of us and we were seated upstairs in an area with just our table. Service fron the staff was excellent...they were very friendly and accommodating....Great food at a reasonable price. Would most definitely visit here again.

What a fabulous restaurant this is great pre-Theatre menu at such a reasonable price. The food was fabulous this time. I had prawns for starter and pizza for me. It was great last time. I had mussels for starter and risotto for main. It was spectacular.

I had lunch at cafe antipasti this afternoon with my mum and daughter, the staff were very friendly the service was quick and the food was amazing, can’t wait to go again.

I’ve never reviewed Antipasti but felt the need after reading the one by “Angela L” just below me. It annoyed me. I’ve been going to Antipasti since the Byres Road days of the 90s. Food has always been delicious and service has always been great. We went to the same event at the King’s (20/9/24) for a pre-theatre so I can only assume it’s the same staff. Food was delicious and fantastic value. Angela L, my husband had a pizza too and raved about it. Crispy and flavoursome. I had the Parmesan chicken from the a La Carte (only complaint is that it was served in a large pasta dish with my potatoes separate. Didn’t look great this way but was delicious nonetheless). Crumble for dessert was gorgeous. Yet another fab meal at our go-to place before the King’s. Angela L, if it wasn’t seasoned enough for you, can I suggest making use of the salt and pepper in front of you on the table. Antipasti - fab as always - ignore the negativity from Angela two reviews - and just them be entitled to their (wrong) opinion. I’ll see you soon.

I honestly do not know where these 5☆ reviews are coming from. We visited this restaurant before an event in the Kings Theatre. We opted for a reasonably priced 2 course pre theatre menu. The bruccetta was average. We ordered pasta and a pizza. Despite getting the pasta covered in parmesan, it was still bland and tasteless. And there was fat on the chicken. The pasta was left uneaten. The pizza was the worst pizza I have ever had. I could've bought a tastier pizza from Aldi. I was given a different knife to be able to cut the pizza. God knows why. The base was disgraceful. So hard and crispy around the edges and doughy in the middle. The knife would not cut it. I ended up breaking a bit and ripping it across. Bland as hell. My additional topping was Italian sausage. That could've been anything cause there was no taste. Pizza was also left uneaten apart from that bit I managed to rip across. The girl who served us was lovely but at times too attentive. We ordered wine and it was brought to us. We had just taken a couple of sips from the glass when she was back over asking if we were OK for drinks. We said we were fine but a few minutes later she came back to see if we wanted water or juice. No, we wanted peace to drink what we had ordered. She came at the end and lifted away 2 full plates of practically untouched food and never questioned it. We paid the bill and left. To be honest I should have complained, but we had a show to catch and didn't have time. But if she had asked about the food I would have told her it was vile. Won't be back.

We were going to an event at the Kings Theatre and chose this restaurant as its quite close to the theatre. A reasonably priced pre Theatre menu was on offer. A starter and a main course. The girl who attended to us was lovely and very attentive but at times maybe a bit too attentive. We had just received the wine we ordered and had managed a couple of sips from the glass when she came back over and asked if we were OK for drinks. We had barely touched the drinks we had as we had just been given them. Then she was back over asking us if we wanted juice or water. We politely declined. We were happy to be given the chance to drink our wine that we had ordered. We ordered from the pre theatre menu. The bruschetta was average. We ordered the pasta and a pizza. The pasta was bland. Tasteless, despite the girl coming over and topping it with parmesan. The pizza base was extremely crispy on the outside and doughy in the middle. I was given a different knife for the pizza. I couldn't cut the pizza. I cut it so far and then ripped it across. It was awful. The taste of it wasn't much better. One of the worst pizzas I have ever had. I ate about a quarter of the pizza and left the rest. The pasta was also left practically untouched. Maybe the a la carte menu would have been a better choice but the pre theatre menu is awful. Needless to say, we won't be back.

What a gem of a restaurant. Some of the best sauce I've ever had. Loved the small plates to share so we could sample many things. We were in Glasgow three days and ate there twice.

Excellent location near to Novotel and Kings Theatre, great value and good food. Friendly staff and good service. There was a large group in at the same time as us but very little waiting and staff checked in on us several times.

We had a very delicious meal at Café Antipasti. The prices were fair and the food was delicious. The restaurant looks nice and the dishes were ready quickly, which is certainly a plus. The pizzas were perfectly made - not greasy, but real good Italian pizzas. The chicken risotto and carbonara were also particularly tasty. Conclusion: Café Antipasti is definitely recommended. With delicious food, reasonable prices and a cozy atmosphere, it is a great place to dine. The pizzas, risotto and carbonara are all top choices. We would love to come back again!

The staff and meals were delicious. Our table had 3 courses, each dish exceeded our expectations with flavor and use of ingredients. We were well taken care of even with the restaurant being full of patrons. Highly recommend!

Just what we were looking for in the centre of Glasgow. Dress, smart/casual. The food was delicious, lots of choice and a good selection in drinks too. We went for two consecutive nights and thoroughly enjoyed both. Staff are very welcoming in this lovely Italian cafe. Itali

It sounds like I'm being slightly egotistical here but I'm a bloody great cook and Glasgow has run dry of traditional Italian restaurants, I think we could agree. Well, wake up and get to Antipasti - I had the two course lunch today and I could not fault anything. Exceptional staff, service and food. It's driven me right back to eating in Sauchiehall Street like a supercharged shark once again!!!

Went here for the pre theatre menu before going to see a show. Restaurant was really busy but the service and food were excellent. I think our waitress was called Charlotte and she didn't stop all the time we were there, but was extremely friendly, attentive and efficient. The food was delicious and extremely generous portions for a pre-theatre menu. A good choice of dishes too. Ideal for a good value meal prior to a show.

Pretheatre meal last week. Loads of choices, good sized portions and they all tasted great! Amazing value also, with very attentive service. Would return.

Visited the restaurant to have a quick drink on a hot day and after receiving some dental surgery so wasn't looking for any food but was looking to make use of the nice benches at the side of the building. The girl who had welcomed us in went to show us to a seat before I said we were actually looking for drinks to have outside. She stared at me like I had two heads and questioned "outside?" as if I had asked to eat on the roof. There was a moment of awkward silence before I said "sorry I've just had dental surgery" as I assumed that's why she was glaring. She then snapped "ok. Go" and shood us off then followed us out with drinks menus before walking off without saying a word. The whole interaction was utterly bizarre and we just walked away straight after that, both a bit mythed as to what the girls problem was and why she was so off with us. Will not be back and would hope the girl is spoken to about how she speaks to customers for future

Lovely friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Had a tasty lunch. We had bruschetta and garlic bread and minestrone soup to start - all tasty and delicious. Risotto and pizza for main - ristotto was so delicious, best I've had in a long time. Our server was friendly, patient and very professional - despite having an awkward diner!! Just popped in before a show. Had the pre theatre menu, lots of choice and great value. As a vegetarian I appreciated the Vegetarian platter which was a lovely surprise, 3 dishes, freshly cooked and all delicious, as was the goats cheese brucheta to start. Sadly had no time(or room) for dessert. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We will certainly be back and recommend to all our friends.

I've been enjoying Antipasti for ages. It's a favourite of myself and my wife.

Great food and easy to get to as the restaurant is in the center of town. Very decently sized menu, not too large which helps with decision making. Bruschetta with goat cheese & caramelised red onion was a winner as is the Parmesan encrusted chicken wrapped in pancetta with potato & leek gratin. Fab place to eat in groups or as a couple as there’s a good range of table sizes. Highly recommend!

6 of us were here this evening to celebrate my birthday. They don't do a seafood pizza. Very few places do. As there was a lot of seafood on the menu, I thought I'd ask if they would make one for me. No problem. They were delighted to do so. And let me tell you, it was top notch. Delicious! And plenty of seafood on board. Best seafood pizza I've had in years. Everyone loved their meal. Highly recommend. Staff very friendly and helpful. 10 out of 10😊

Absolutely love Cafe Antipasti! Everything about it is amazing. The staff are just the right level of attentive, the food is always superb and the prices are very reasonable. I always choose to go here whenever possible. I wish the place was larger but no other complaints at all!

Absolute beautiful so please the place is rustic Italian and not a modern mock-up. Staff could not be any more helpful.. the risotto is superb .. the banana and toffee cheese cake sends you to heaven lost track of everything and everyone around me each spoon full was magical praise to the chef/s and the staff let’s talk about the cocktail was going to try two different.. nope stuck to the 1st and top of the list soo far rum punch .. didn’t come with all the bells and whistles and I thought blah first sip was definitely a happy dance .. everyone needs this wee touch of tranquility in their life

Too small independent restaurant that we enjoyed so much we visited it a second time during our break in Glasgow. Shout out to Margaret and all of the friendly staff that looked after us both times. The charcuterie board was a highlight as we the not so small, small plates, especially the risotto. Great food in a lovely atmosphere at very reasonable prices.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch here yesterday before going to the C2C at the Ovo. Fabulous bowl of mussels to start, followed by a chicken breast wrapped in bacon with a sage butter and a side of potato,cream and leek gratin and a shared tiramisu, was best ever. The ambiance and staff all very nice. The menu didn't have any vegan options listed but there were actually lots of options to 'veganise' various pizzas and pasta dishes. I was a bit dissappointed with the cannellini bean minestrone (they really skimped on cannellini beans, I only found one in the whole bowl of soup) and wish I'd gone for a pizza. But the flatbread was lovely.

We had a really good meal here, from the Pre-Theatre menu. Plenty to choose from (which can be unusual if you are looking for vegetarian/vegan). The prices are very reasonable and the staff are lovely. Will definitely go again.
