Best pasta, amazing staff and good vibes. I had Pasta no.5, buratta and Parma ham. All 3 were just mouth watering. And pocket friendly too.

I love this place. Definitely recommend. Especially the number 8. And the tiramisu is absolutely amazing!

Always busy but don’t let that put you off as always fast service! Affordable and delicious pasta. The Tiramisu is a must have!

This is a busy place so be prepared to wait especially at weekends. I went with my partner on a Saturday evening for dinner and waited around 45mins, although you do have the option to go to other bars whilst waiting. Despite how busy it was the service was still good and didn’t wait too long to be served. Food was delicious, and my only fault would be the aperol spritz are served in small stumpy wine glasses. Despite that would dine here again.

Honestly best pasta in Glasgow. It's cheap, portions are great, menu isn't overwhelming, staff are lovely, atmosphere is lively, central location and everything is ready super fast . What more can you ask for.

The food is very ordinary, I didn’t expect the food to be at this level, But I met a kind beautiful girl called Abbie , She helped us a lot with the order, number 1,2,3,4and 10 is Halal .

Decent to be honest.. food is good. My meal was spicy pork...not too spicy and not enough pork..

This place is overhyped. Always busy so was expecting good food service and atmosphere. None of which was present. The pasta was horrible I've eaten and made enough pasta to know what Al dente is supposed to taste like but this was straight up raw uncooked pasta. The table we had was so cramped and got even more cramped when another family got seated next to our party. It was also so loud you couldn't hear a thing. Asked the waiter for the bill and got the bill and had to spend 20 minutes waiting for a card machine. When I stood up to try and leave the manager came and asked me to sit down and after another few minutes I could finally get out of this terrible restaurant. Overhyped, overstimulating and terrible terrible service.

Too bad, after the staff told us to wait for 40 minutes, we waited patiently, and after the timeout, we reminded the staff, only to be told that we did not tell him that we were all present, and we were not informed that we needed to tell them that we were all present, which means that the responsibility lies with us? Sitting at the seat and waiting for 10 minutes, no one came to greet me. At this time, my mood has affected my judgment of the food. No matter how the next meal is, I will not come again for the second time. After all, this restaurant has many customers, and I guess they will not care about me. However, the waiter who helped us order was very nice, very enthusiastic and friendly. The food itself was not bad, but the reception at the door was a bit annoying.

So This place looked very busy, we wanted to See how good it is..After Having to wait at the bar we were guided to our table which we had to share with other guests..the waitress quickly took our Order ..we didnt have to wait for Long until the Food arrived..but to our surprise the portions were tiny..They tasted good but for my opinion not worth their Price..After we finished our meal which could also have been the kids meal.. we Paid and there were no nice words or anything from the staff. Itjust felt Like they wanted to have a high table turnover rate and welcome the next guests. I really do not get the Hype.

Will start off by saying the meal was absolutely fantastic!! We both thoroughly enjoyed the food. The service however was questionable, We felt very rushed in all honesty, as if the waitress wanted us out as quickly as possible. In addition I didn’t like the way I felt judged when selecting the tip. I always prefer leaving cash tips but panic selected one of the percentage due to the way I was being looked at. But the aperol spritz was really good and delivered fast alongside the food.

Lovely pasta and food! The waitor he was really rude to me for no reason and it had me fighting back tears. I was laughing with my friends and he comes over and says "slayy girls but not you (points to me) you're snobby", I laughed it off as a joke. He then comes back over after my friends are back from the toilet and says "are you girls done in the photo booth?" We all laugh then he points to me again and says "you dont even need to speak and I know you're snobby" and walks away leaving us all confused. This was my first time here and I'm quite put off going again because of this service, which is a shame because the pasta is incredible! We had another waiter and she was so kind and lovely!

Great place, with relatively inexpensive but supremely tasty pasta dishes. The service is quick and I would recommend booking a table ahead of time because it's popular. The turnaround time is pretty quick though.

I've been to a lot A LOT of restaurants across the world. This is by far the worst I've ever been to. We went for the two most expensive dishes on the menu and we're presented with Al dente pasta, which is really just Italian for "we screwed up and covered it up". One dish was covered in bland generic tomato sauce and the other was overly salty. The spicy pork dish wasn't even remotely spicy. Not even pepper spicy, no.. not even Korma spicy The service was absolutely shocking. I felt like the waitress hated us and its the first time that I've ever blatantly selected no tip on the card reader despite her hovering over us like she deserved one. During the meal she asked us if "the pasta was all good guys?" and by the time I tried to answer, she had left. Literally wasn't interested if it was good or not. The wine was acid vinegar and the beer was flat.

Suggested by a work colleague, after work meal, fantastic pasta, the tiramasu was a perfect finish. I'll return for sure.

Moderne hustle bustle, not relaxed. Lovely staff, food faux Italian warm not hot, echoing cavernous space and they served IPA ale too cold.

First time here and I REALLY wanted to like this place, unfortunately I had a terrible meal. I ordered the ragu pasta (based on servers recommendation) and I honestly got 2 pieces of meat with lotsa sauce and noodles! It was busy and I thought it looked disappointing but the server brought it to me with enthusiasm. As I was finishing, I noticed the table next to us had the same dish....ummm... wow look at all the meat! She couldn't even finish it! I called our server over and asked what is that? (pointing to her dish) She said 'ragu'. I said it looked NOTHING like mine!? She apologized and comped me a dessert, which is nice but unfortunately I left hungry. The consistency between dishes should be reviewed better by both the kitchen and the servers. The carbonara that my spouse had was quite good.

Slightly expensive for what it is but the food is excellent as always. It can be hard to find the server as it is always extremely busy. It would be amazing if they put V, Ve, and other dietary delineations on the paper menu. It would be much easier rather than asking the server about each dish.

Was ok few changes not for the better. We are regulars at Sugo. Note that it has been taken over by the DRG group-but they don’t give the DRG points? We asked for Parma ham to start-within a minute our pasta arrived-we said we would have preferred the pasta after the Parma ham-the (supervisor)who served us said ‘did you ask for the pasta to be served after the ham? He said they don’t do ‘starters’ and that all dishes come together. I admit we did not specify this but he was pretty snippy with more than a bit of an attitude. Never had that before in Sugo. We had to go asking for olive oil?? They no longer have it on the table (in an Italian restaurant)🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️. Felt very put off today with the whole ambiance -somethings gone and not for the better, Disappointed!

Very modern large restaurant. Cool atmosphere. Very young and fast staff. Good pizza, really tasty. Unfortunately we had to wait in line for a long time. There are no reservations.

Sugo is a find. Perfect pasta and a brilliant atmosphere make this restaurant a must visit when in Glasgow! The menu is just pasta and minimal choices, but what they do, they are doing brilliantly! My Spinach & Ricotta Pasta with lashings of Sage Butter was possibly some of the best pasta I have ever eaten! My family members had the Beef Ragu Pasta and throughly enjoyed every mouthful! We all shared the Sourdough Bread with EVOO as a side and again, this was delicious! For dessert I had the Ice-Cream with Amarena Cherries….a wonderful way to finish a fab meal. The staff were friendly & helpful and this is one buzzing restaurant 🤩. If you’re in Glasgow…..go! You won’t regret it.

Everything is outstanding The service is fast And the food is delicious And the place is alive We enjoyed the atmosphere very much. I advise everyone to try it, but be careful not to add mozzarella because it contains pork products. Make sure that the order is free of alcohol and pork. The staff are very helpful and understanding and keen to meet your requests in a way that suits you.

My daughter and her boyfriend were here last night the waitress was very grumpy and was very ignorant to the fact my daughter and her boyfriend gave a £10 tip and she was not happy at all. Whether it's a £1 or £100 tip a tip is a tip and she should be grateful as they are students

Always satisfied with the food here, the servings are deceiving & always leave full up, decent prices & good service, the duck tagatelli is delicious & the canoli's are a great desert.

One more chance Sugo... One more chance... I've been a big fan since this place opened. I would come solo, with a friend, family or partner... everyone to get my Sugo fix! Who hurt you? and why are you taking it out on my pasta :(... The past 4 visits have been very underwhelming to say the least. I love my pasta al dente but not extremly undercooked, which it has been every time. I let it go the first time. The second time, before ordering I mentioned my previous visit and asked to have the pasta cooked longer. It came back even more undercooked than the last visit. I asked for the pasta to be cooked again, for longer and It was still undercooked. I didn't have the heart to tell the server as she was lovley. My 4th dissapointing attempt was made 2 days ago. I was not impressed. Undercooked pasta yet again and my partner felt his dish was lacking in flavour and also undercooked. I don't understand!?

Enjoyed lunch at Sugo in October. The restaurant has lots of seating options so we had no wait. The pasta and salads were delicious and a great price for the quality of the food. The atmosphere was really cool - industrial but really stylish.

It looks small from the outside but when you enter, you see a huge, very crowded restaurant. Despite the crowd, the staff is well organized and orders come to the table very quickly. The dishes were top quality. I definitely recommend it.

Always fantastic, though they seem to have put prices up recently which detracts a touch. Beer selection is laughable and ridiculously overpriced.

They serve food quite late which was brilliant, food was good and inexpensive.

Best pasta place in Glasgow! Never disappointed!

The line may be long, but they turn over tables astonishingly quick. Food service is great and very quick aswell.

A corner of Italy in Glasgow. The puttanesca pasta with mackerel is excellent. The cannoli is good, but with a filling different from the Italian one.

Simple menu executed well. Friendly efficient service. Just a little noisy for us but that's a personal taste rather than negative comment.

Nice Italian restaurant in Glasgows city centre. Unfortunately the service was a bit delayed and seemed unorganised with multiple servicers attending to our table. The pasta is served aldenti which is not an issue for me however some may find this an issue. The restaurant is very busy and open plan, not providing alot of privacy so not ideal for a date or quiet dinner out.

The pasta here is really tasty. It's a nice place to stop in if you're out shopping and are looking for quick and good value.

Very quick service and good quality food. The menu is a bit limited but I guess that's what makes the service and turn around so fast. If you are in a rush and fancy pasta it's a good place to visit.

I will be honest I thought I would try this place because it was busy. I had a good rating so I thought I would give it a try with my friend, but to be honest I it’s not my taste and it can be delicious for some people, but not me I couldn’t eat the food it’s not , me at all but to be honest, the service was just top notch. She was very nice. She tried to offer me another option to make me happy so I can get a good experience but I didn’t want to so I wouldn’t say anything about the place except the food it’s just not for me. That’s all.

The food was very tasty. But unfortunately also the only good thing. It was super loud, the service was rather annoying and we were literally thrown out when we received the bill (which we hadn't ordered). Unfortunately, it gives the impression that you are just being funneled through here. Not a nice place to have a relaxing evening.

Amazing place!! We were visiting from Australia and walked past one evening and saw how packed the restaurant was, so decided to give it a go for the following days lunch. The number of vegetarian/vegan dishes there were (or that could be made vego/vegan) was fantastic! The portion sizes were large, and the taste….phenomenal! Icing on top was the atmosphere and service. I heartily recommend people check this place out when in Glasgow!

If I could give the food no stars I would honestly. It’s the first time I come to eat at Sugo Pasta and it’ll be the last for sure. Getting a table was quick despite how busy it was which was nice, but since it’s our first time we were digesting in the menu and trying to get visuals online. Service was quick at that time. Once we finally decided to order we said what we wanted and were asked if we had any allergies, which we didn’t. Things were perfect atmosphere was alright but of course for how busy the place was it was veryy noisy. And we were sat right next to the kitchen so the air smelled of fish i believe, that was unpleasant but it was where the free seats were. Once they brought our food mine turned out to have shredded pig meat or something? I’m obviously a halal eater so that was a problem, they did not mention to me that I was choosing something with that in it even though I was visibly Muslim which therefore means I’d eat halal they only noticed that while they were ready to serve me (strange). I ended up ordering something else instead. She gave me a minute to decide which ended up being way longer so when they finally came to take my order I guess they told the kitchen to rush things, because my food came back being uncooked literally. The noodles were uncooked which therefore hard. It’s like they put it in for a quick 5 minutes and served it… safe to say it was bad food experience and will not be returning. Presentation and drink were nice I guess?

Lovely tasting food with a speedy service. Atmosphere was nice and vibrant but a little noisy as it is a busy restaurant and the queues to enter are long too. Booking in advance is necessary.

Clearly an extremely popular place, full on a Monday at 6 pm. We had the carbonara and the Ragu pasta, the Ragu one was amazing, the carbonara really good but not exceptional. The obergene starter was very tasty. The tomatoes on the burrata starter could be better. Overall it is definitely worth a visit.

Review for Sugo in Glasgow - 3 Stars Sugo used to be one of our go-to spots, but I’m disappointed to say it’s really starting to slip. Today’s visit left a bad taste, and not because of the food. The staff at the door were incredibly rude, and on top of that, they refused to accept our gift card. The whole experience was frustrating, and it feels like the place is getting too busy for its own good, with the quality of service taking a serious hit. That said, the food is still good—Sugo’s ragu and tiramisu are my favourites, and they’re the only reasons we’ll keep coming back despite the issues. But if they don’t sort out the service soon, even the food might not be enough.

For lovers of Italian cuisine, the dishes are well presented and very good! Fast service, friendly servers, we are very happy with our meal. The only big problem is the noise. There is just too much noise from the people and the music. It is difficult to hear each other in the restaurant.

Really amazing pasta. 40 min for a wait for a table on a Thursday, but got a pint while I waited. Pasta was so good and at an amazing price point, especially compared to other Italians in the area.

Absolutely love Sugo, best pasta ever and there is no doubt in my eyes it is the business! There is however been a cost cutting exercise since the takeover of D’ Maggio…… anytime I have been before the olive oil and balsamic have been on the tables in bottles. This time if you order bread they bring you the smallest amount of oil in the bowl that is supposed to cater for a table of 3. The balsamic is still on the table because most customers don’t use much. This is totally sneaky and reminds me of a place I stopped going to because they were charging for Parmesan…. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth Sugo….. Or D’ Maggio should I say…. this place is great don’t spoil by being mean!!!!!!!

I have been to SUGO a few Tim and tbh the food is always a hit or miss. Today I had to ask for my past to not be undercooked twice and tbh, I’m sure they didn’t even bother to get a new one again. Couldn’t eat the food. Then have the audacity to ask for a tip when they you couldn’t even eat the food.

Freshly made pasta is something else and Sugo was a delight. Lovely ambience efficient staff and great pricing too.

Good experience at Sugo, in the heart of Glasgow! 🍝 The pasta was well prepared, and the tomato dish with mozzarella di bufala was quite tasty 🧀. The IPA added a nice refreshing touch 🍺. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the service was very friendly. Avoid if you want to spend 2 hours in the restaurant. It's a bit of a fast food pasta place but the dishes are really good. Not too greasy. Above all, it allows you to eat quickly. Sugo remains a good choice for a quick Italian meal. An address to try if you are in the area and looking for authentic Italian flavors and a quick bite to eat.

Arrived at 1 pm and requested table for 3 people. 30 minutes waiting despite being told 10 minute wait. People in queue behind being called before us and I asked why we were still waiting. Abrupt female said it was not our turn yet, so we left. Arrangements for tables is shambolic and we won’t be visiting again.

The pasta here is INCREDIBLE! the sauces are incredibly tasty and well balanced and the bread salad really hits a spot. Depending on the desert they are super tasty! The ice-cream reminds me of the one we used to get at our local italian restaurant when we were kids and the cannolis and cheese cake are AWESOME The pastas are all made in-house and have a great bite! I was very tempted to go for a second plate. Service is great and still one of the best restaurants in Glasgow. They don't take reservations so head a little early to wait for a table. It's a simple menu with simple dishes done to absolute perfection.

I try to be as honest as possible… this place feels like a fast food pasta place with very few options. Based on expectations, that made me want to score it low… however, my only real negative is that the portions are in the smaller side and everyone left hungry. That said, the pasta is very good, cooked al dente, and well priced. Seems to be quick turn overs so I can’t imagine the Que taking long. Overall I’d go again for a quick pasta fix, but likely for a light meal, not my main meal for the day.
