Celebrated my Nan’s 80th here. 25 people in our group, another two large group bookings and it ran like clock work. The staff were attentive, food arrived on time, hot and everyone’s meal was delicious. There was live music that day which really added to the atmosphere. If you’ve a large party do consider coming here as they were excellent at managing large tables.

We went to the George Michael tribute night and had an amazing time. Food and service were excellent. The act was brilliant, followed by great music afterwards by DJ Dean. It was a great party atmosphere.

The place is very nice and well-kept, the food is good. I didn't give 5 stars because they cooked my risotto wrong, but the taste was exceptional.

On an outing to celebrate Mother's Day with my cousin and mum, we dined at Nonna's Kitchen, a local gem that left us with a very positive impression. The diligence and dedication of the owner/manager, who remained composed and level-headed throughout a bustling day, were truly commendable. From managing breakfast service to a packed dinner crowd, his professionalism under pressure was nothing less than impressive. In a heartfelt gesture at the evening's close, the owner shared a few words, extending Mother's Day wishes, expressing gratitude towards his hardworking staff, and shedding light on Nonna's Kitchen's commitment to quality and authenticity. Unlike (unfortunately) many other local eateries, Nonna's takes pride in preparing its dishes from scratch—a fact that was underscored when mentioning the unavailability of their lobster ravioli, a dish I had anticipated. Nevertheless, the calamari I opted for instead was delightful, fresh and delicate, showcasing the kitchen's culinary prowess. The dedication to handcrafted cuisine is a rarity that deserves recognition and patronage. I eagerly look forward to enjoying their pizza for a takeaway treat in the week ahead. Moreover, the ambiance was enhanced by the musical talents of a young pianist who performed throughout the day, demonstrating remarkable stamina and adding a layer of charm to our dining experience. Nonna's Kitchen has reaffirmed its place as a go-to destination for authentic Sicilian/Italian cuisine and heartfelt hospitality. It's a reminder of the beauty of dining in a place that values the essence of home-cooked meals and the importance of community. Poor food and service Service terrible I was severed food and had to ask twice for parmasan. The waitress should ask the customer when serving the food. The pasta was very bland. The Starter Antipasta was not great it was like something put together from supermarket packets on a bed of lettuce! I didn’t want to give dessert a chance after first two courses. Decided on Nona’s yesterday friday morning around 9.30 for breakfast. Entered and no staff were around so we headed to a wall seat on the right, sat down and a waitress came flying over with black hair middle aged, saying we can’t sit there to move to the middle, she was very abrupt, The place was empty bar a couple of tables out of about 100 seats, did it really matter. She said we were sitting on a 6 seat, so we said we will move to a 2 seater table which was along the wall. She didn’t like that we didn’t want to sit in the middle. No mention or reservations on those tables it was practically empty so what’s the big deal. Anyway she walked of and started muttering and giving us the most dirty looks then started moaning about us to another blonde waitress who was looking over at us. She then went to serve someone continuing her dirty looks over to our table so we got up and walked out. Why would we spend our money here. Ten years ago it was a friendly place, it’s completely changed . The actual audacity of her to give your customers dirty looks even when serving someone and she continued looking over and cutting her eyes at us. We were fuming. What did she think she was gonna do when she had to come to our table to take our order after that. I wouldn’t enjoy my breakfast after that and the hostile environment that came with it, i certainly didn’t want her to serve us or pay my money there. We won’t be going Nonnas again, rude hostile member of staff! Try being nice and polite with your customers it will help your custom! Being abrupt and Throwing dirty looks at them won’t help it will only loose you money.

Kids half term pizza making! Just got back from the best morning at Nonna’s Kitchen! The kids not only got to make their own pizza from start to finish and eat it for lunch, they also got taught a piece of history about pizzas and where the margarita pizza was invented! There was a great selection of toppings, squash to drink throughout and a lovely Italian cookie for dessert! Well done Nonna’s, fantastic idea for kids in the half term! Mine can’t wait to come back for the one during the Easter holidays!

Children’s Pizza making for half term, kids had great fun, well organised, plenty of choice of ingredients, educational for them on the history and background of pizza. They were able to make their own pizza from start to finish which they enjoyed eating along with free flowing squash and an Italian cookie to finish. Great morning of fun with great food and great atmosphere.

This is a very nice restaurant, the food is delicious and the staff are wonderful. We eat here regularly and are always greeted warmly. They are very good with children too, unlike many restaurants, they welcome families. We have held several family celebrations here, and they never fail in making you feel special. Absolutely wonderful restaurant. I highly recommend a visit, but be warned, go hungry because the portions are generous! Oh and the selection of yummy biscuits and gelato are just too tempting to refuse

Waited to be seated a bit longer then I would have liked. Food was good, service was good, however I wasn't really happy with the fact that the so called holding deposit they took to take my booking wasn't refunded and I had to use it to pay for the food. I requested to pay my bill without having to pay it out of the deposit but they told me I simply had to use the holding deposit to pay the bill. I did ask a member of the team beforehand if the deposit was simply to hol d the table and I was de assured that the deposit was simply for that. Apart from that the food and place was decent.

Had a lovely lunch at Nonna’s Kitchen. Cannot fault the food- It’s was delicious and the service was lovely, the staff was very friendly and polite. My only critic is that as a table of four, with whom three have food allergies it would have been nice to glance over a food menu of what we was able to eat. The staff however were very nice in explaning the menu and double checking with the chef. But atleast with an allergen menu you have the correction information to read of rather than take the word of staff. Because as someone who is Anaphylaxis food allergies are very serious. And although I am aware that foods are made by the chef within a kitchen area, to read and know what exactly is in ny food would be very helpful. But apart from that I do recommend you try Nonna’s Kitchen. X

Such a shame as the food is lovely but the staff/ owner/ service is soooooo bad!!!!! I have come back a few times because the food is nice but the waiting staff are so unwelcoming!! They actually laughed at us for trying to get there attention. Terrible

I’ve never tasted any better food across all UK Italian restaurants! The food, staff, atmosphere & desserts were just spot on! I’d give 15 stars if possible! My favorite restaurant in England so far! Well done to the whole team!

I had only been here once before for a birthday so Booked a table for 15 people for my 25th birthday. When we got there there was another 3/4 birthdays including a 13th. All birthday bookings were all crammed in to back half of the restaurant so you literally couldn’t move around your table or even push your chair out without bumping in to another table or birthday. Half of our table was on a long bench with one exit so we had to move 8/9 people to let anyone out to the toilet etc and then had staff huffing and puffing when we were in the way. Service was TERRIBLE other than one guy who brought us cheese was happy to help. Staff were trying their best but no clear management going on and they had clearly taken on too many bookings for the staff that they had. Will say the food was lovely and you get what you pay for. We had to be at a show for half seven and requested the bill at 18:40 My friend politely approached the bar at 19:20 and explained we really needed to pay the bill as we had to leave and didn’t have time to wait. The guy at the till became visibly angry and was pointing and waving his hand in my female friends face and raising his voice. My partner went to assist and explained again we were simply trying to pay the bill and had been waiting a long while to which the server continued to be rude asking “well what do you want me to do about it” and continued on to “well I don’t have the time either” and shooed them away. In the end we had to leave money with others at our table so we could make the show on time and then they informed me were charged £30 service charge which is ridiculous for the “service” we received. In all honesty would rather they had said they couldn’t take the booking when I called two weeks ago. Ridiculously bad service would NOT recommend booking a big event here.

Went here for my work Christmas do and had the best time. Great selection of food, restaurant was clean and they all work very hard to get this to a high standard. The entertainment was a lot of fun. After dinner there was a game, then it turn into a DJ night. We literally danced all night!

Didn’t expect to find such an authentic Italian restaurant in what looked to be otherwise a standard commuter town dominated by large supermarkets. This place seemed to be the real deal staffed almost entirely by Italians. We had breakfast there whilst staying nearby. Great Paninis, omelette and egg Florentine. Coffee was excellent too. Pretty reasonable prices; highly recommend this place.

I've been nonnas plenty of times and absolutely loved it. Went on Christmas eve and was very disappointed. We booked table for 8 o'clock felt rushed the whole time. While eating starter the waiter came over to take order for dinner, to which I told him we haven't finished our starter yet let us finish then we will order. He said the kitchen closes at 9 so we need to order quickly. We'll why would you take a reservation for 8 o'clock if you know kitchen closes at 9 Not good service in my opinion. After the main they came straight over with Bill didn't even ask if we wanted desert. Won't be going back in a hurry

Food was not very nice, potatoes and vegetables we're hard, service was very good. It was very expensive for what was offered.

Always busy so be aware there desserts and biscuits are to die for if you have a sweet tooth you would love it the resturant itself in terms of interior is OK but the food is definatly the highlight

Met family here last night for a Christmas get together. Had an absolutely amazing evening! Food was fabulous, as was the DJ and the staff were great. Highly recommend!

Great spot for Christmas party. Really lovely looking restaurant. Dinner starts at 7pm so if you go earlier you will need to go to the pub or somewhere before as they won’t allow entry. We had the three course menu, prawn pilpil and salmon for started. The prawns were lovely but still in the shell. The Christmas dinner was quite standard, the veg was undercooked and a bit hard. Cheesecake for desert which was lovely The best thing about the restaurant was the entertainment, they have a live dj with dance floor and a tribute Whitney Houston. The vibe was great and everyone was up and dancing. Would definitely go again!

Went as part of a large group. The food was rushed out in my opinion. Maybe catering for 200 people all at the same time was too much for the staff. Left unsatisfied and hungry .

Great place for theme event. Loved the evening, the atmosphere, the show, the service was great, drinks a little expensive. Loved the starter and dessert but was unimpressed with the Christmas dinner, no roasted veg, potatoes a little too hard for me and not roasted enough, reminded me of canteen food. However a great evening. However was a little loud for some of our group. Would definitely go again but i would have a different main meal

Recently visited nonna's Kitchen on Saturday night for the Christmas party night with friends from our local football team. Broxbourne united girls. Food was great,along with the service, the entertainment was outstanding which made the night. Highly recommended.

Went here for a Xmas party!! Had such an amazing time!! The food was absolutely delicious!! Service amazing!! Atmosphere and entertainment was outstanding!! Would definitely recommend for birthday parties, events and nights out.

Had lunch today , Xmas dinner forget potatoes but would let that go but the staff , RUDE our lady waitress was rude her attitude and lack of customer service appalling and then to finish off the guy behind cake counter spoke to me like I was stupid when I asked what the cakes were the problem being they are all too busy chatting to them colleagues the only one I could see that was working was the Indian guy . I asked for desert 3 times and bill twice not what I call customer service I will not be recommending or returning

Terrible customer service. So rude and disrespectful. Argued and grunted at me when I raised a concern. Will NEVER return! The male hostile manager made me and my friend feel very uncomfortable. Have never experienced such rudeness from a restaurant. Absolutely disgusting!

We went there to have our breakfast this morning and the restaurant looks very nice and cosy with beautiful seasonal decorations but the service, from the first interaction it's been awful. We've been "welcomed" by Carla who gave us 2 options for the table so we asked for a different table just to be told that we can't have it because we are in 4 and the table is for 6 people. After a few minutes, a couple, was was already sitting at a table for 4 people moved to that table we asked for and Carla didn't say anything to them. All of this happening with the restaurant being empty. Then all the serving was fine, being served by different persons but at the end when we were about to leave and I had to pay for a panettone extra, Carla strikes again with her attitude wishing me a "Nice Christmas" using a grumpy voice. I don't know what was wrong with that lady today, but if she had a bad day, she should not bring it to work.

We came here at lunchtime today for my daughter’s 6th birthday. We were a group of 10 with 4 children. The staff were very accommodating and everyone enjoyed their lunch. Well priced and friendly service, highly recommended.

This place is nice and quite lively on some evenings. The service is good, but there's a waitress who made my friend feel as if she was making us a favour 😆 I know it's a cultural issue, so it didn’t bother me. We would go back. The food is nice, I love the Florentina pizza.

Massive thank you to Dean this evening for looking after us for our team dinner. There were 28 of us and everything from start to finish was perfect. The restaurant was full and yet we were looked after so well by the staff who were very attentive. The food, as always, was delicious and the portions very generous. Everyone commented on the authenticity of the food and how welcome we were made to feel.

Lovely food, staff very friendly and helpful. Experience enhanced by the fact that THREE different birthdays were celebrated that night. Made it more fun

We were a table of 6 that had a reservation, but on our arrival during a busy Friday night there was a bit of delay seating us However this was quickly and courteously sorted by the manager without any great inconvenience. Food was excellent, as was the service. The owners have a really great team of staff working there. 👏👏👏👍👍

Absolutely fantastic restaurant, my son rang them for a table 10 minutes before we actually arrived & luckily they had space for us. There were 4 adults & 2 children, very friendly staff, beautiful restaurant, the atmosphere was brilliant & the staff seemed very happy. The meals were absolutely superb, I would definitely recommend Nonnas for a delicious Sicilian meal. The menus have a great variety & the cakes are amazing.

Food is fine. Prett fairly priced. Nothing extraordinary, but fairly authentic. Staff are perfectly polite, but a smile was hard to come by. One issue we had (and this may just be bad luck) was the 2 tables of 'Travellers' that were there. They wasn't rowdy, but there was a load of them just coming back and forth and hanging about the entrance all afternoon, right by where we were sat. No effort was made to either seat them or tell them to eff off. We took bets on whether the tables that were there would pay. Neither did. Just got up, and left. There's a surprise... What was weird was that there was no kerfuffle or questioning - almost like it was a regular occurrence. All very curious. Either way, won't be going back.

My wife and I live in Hoddesdon and so wanted to try Nonna’s “Express Lunch” ( £13.50 for two courses) Which we had heard about and which was probably trying to compete with the various other Lunch ‘deals’ in our wonderful town. First of all there is no mention of the “Express Lunch “ on the website, and when we sat down around 2pm we were given the a la carte menu with much higher prices………….We had to ask for the “Lunch Express “ menu. ( We also noticed other diners were just offered the normal menu ) We both chose the Calamari as a starter and this was excellent. Big portion and nicely cooked with a generous bowl of sauce to dip the calamari in. For our main we both had the Veal with potatoes, broccoli and carrots etc This was Disappointing in that the veal was just three small pieces and hidden by some of the vegetables which were hard and under cooked. Service was good but I would rather pay a bit more for a better sized portion, or maybe offer chicken instead of veal.

Everything was alright with the food, but there were a few problems with the service. The waiter got our order wrong 2 times and accidentally gave us the wrong food one time and an extra icecream the other time. They had a large selection of small cakes (which were very good.) Nice quiet music playing in the background. We had a good time at the restaurant overall and the cake we purchased for my father's birthday was amazing. However it was a bit small inside. Would recommend 👍

Not for anyone looking for authentic Italian food. Italian husband really disappointed with his carbonara which was made with double cream. I got the branzino fish which was nice but corners weren't thoroughly cooked. The waitress cared for allergies, and swapped things out for me which I really appreciated. We wanted to ask the waitress her recommendation on the cannoli (she was Italian) but we waited so long after plates were cleared with no offer of a dessert menu that we decided to leave. Bill arrived with service charge not included (not sure if this is normal for this restaurant).

absolutely a terrible experience! ordered linguine arrabbiata, is supposed to be a spicy dish but it wasn't at all it was instead full of onions badly cut, as you can see from the picture! ordered a focaccia I get a white pizza with some rosemary on top! ordered soup of the day it was full of finely chopped onion, some chopped carrot tasted like Tesco cup of sup! my kids ordered a pizza they barely tasted it the dough was chewy and the mozzarella burned! but the worse still to come, I complain about the pasta and soup so I have been served another plate of pasta with the same sauce but this time without the onion and with some chilli added still nothing to do with the classic arrabbiata dish, icing on the cake I paid the bill in full I paid absolutely for everything we do not enjoy and eat! So thanks you so much to spoil our night and my birthday!!!

I used to go here often years ago. Decided I needed to go when I was back in the area, and it didn't disappoint. The food was lovely, particularly the pasta and cannolis. I will probably return soon.

Today I took my 2 granddaughters for a pizza making session. Wow 🤩 it was so well organised, brilliantly set up great hands on for my girls of 2 and 4 who devoured the pizza they made. Beautiful pasties and coffee will definitely be back. Well done and thank you so much 😊

Came for breakfast was told I weren’t allowed to make my own and kids wasnt either. I came last month and now the breakfast seems to have changed, which doesnt make sense? They told me i couldnt have just eggs and bacon because the breakfast chef is under too much stress. Surely its easier to make less? Hopefully limone across the road will start doing breakfast so we can go there instead.

They then got to make and eat their own pizza. They all looked fantastic and I’m sure they were some pizza chefs in the making!! Brekfast used to be good. Recently They Changed brekfast menu. No good. Removed stuff an removd the make your own. Change it back please! Always meet my mates an family here. Will go somewhere else if they keep brekfast menu like that. No good, change it back per favore!!

Always come to breakfast. Used to be amazing until they changed it to a very limited menu with no freedom. If you just want eggs on toast you are told you cant have it. And you are told you need to order a full english just to get the eggs. Doesn't make sense. They didnt think it through. No kids options either. Some people want to go out for breakfast but have something minimal or ‘make their own’ told that they stopped it because of the pressure on the chefs. Doesnt really make sense..i think they are forcing you to spend more, wont be returning, untill its changed, as with other regulars. Time to try deer bistro or brew box.

My husband and I are from US Virgin Islands visiting here. Absolutely loved our first night at Nonna's. The staff is so attentive and friendly, especially Luka. He is the best! The food is outstanding, we got the penne arrabiata and a linguine w prawns. Delicious!! We highly recommend.

Finally got around to eating in the restaurant after ordering takeaways from these guys for the past 2 years. As im quite boring and unadventurous I of course went for the same thing I order when at home - the calzone folded pizza 😁 followed by tiramisu. Food has always been great and it was the same in the restaurant. Others went for pizza followed by fruit tarts which were excellent - plenty of cream and sweet pastry. Service was also very good especially considering it was a busy Saturday night. They don't add a service charge to the bill which I always appreciate, added 10% of course but its good to know you have a choice.

Really nice family vibe. There was a pianist when we visited with the family which was a lovely touch. Lots of room to move around and waiting staff are friendly and efficient. Love dessert selection, the kids enjoyed going to the counter to chose themselves. Qualify of food is great and the food offered is great value with a lot of choice. Very family friendly and although there was a slight slip up with a mentioned allergen the waitress was very quick to correct the error. I will definitely visit again, I would High recommend for anyone looking for a relaxed environment and great deserts! See you soon!

I Was recommended today by my friend, who was going there for her birthday lunch. I had spaghetti carbonara without the meat, replaced by mushrooms and spinach it was delicious! My son had a pizza which was equally delicious. We will be definitely coming back. The staff are lovely and friendly the atmosphere is just right, music was not too loud and good taste. Lighting was spot on! Tiramisu was amazing!

I met up with my sister and her husband for a late lunch (2.30). My first visit and I was impressed by the food. I had fillet steak, medium came out slightly bloody, top class meat. Roast potatoes and very nice carrots. £24. Pretty good. Sis had lasagne and hubby had liver and bacon. We all had starters and dessert and coffee for £125. No service charge was added to bill so we left cash.

Good service and good standard of food but it’s just not authentic enough like every other Italian restaurant in this country! Give people proper authentic Italian food that is actually eaten in Sicily and they would love it. Too many restaurants cater for English people too much and the food suffers because of it. You had a special on once which was a burger which the last time I checked a burger isn’t that Italian. Considering how many Italian people live in the area from Waltham abbey to Hertford these places should be serving better food than they currently do. Again I enjoyed my meal but please try and be true to yourself moving forward

I absolutely love coming here for lunch/dinner. The food is always the best and the staff are so lovely and friendly. Always my go to place when going out with friends or family.
