Decent food, portion size and content has improved on a fee months ago.

Lovely Italian restaurant. Food delicious and the service is friendly, they have a wonderful fresh cake display. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

I can’t recommend this place enough. Whenever we get a chance/a reason to go for a nice meal with the family, this is always our place of choice. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and incredible food. I’ve never seen the place quiet so I would definitely recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Great place for everyone to enjoy. Reasonable prices for what you get and lovely dessert options for all to see on the counter.

Great Italian place. Great atmosphere, we won two free cocktails on the bingo. Was too full for dessert. Pizza was amazing and big! I had the chicken Milanese.

A lovely little gem of a place just off of Hoddesdon Hihh Street. The restaurant was modern, scrupulously clean and with a traditional rustic Italian decor. It was quite quiet on the lunchtime we went but I can imagine it being vibrant and lively in the evenings. The menu is very extensive with a huge choice of traditional Italian fare. Pastas, pizzas, meat and fish dishes of all varieties. Service was quick and attentive without being overbearing. Waiter was happy to make recommendations. Our party had the penne pasta in a spicy tomato sauce (absolutely fine - the sauce had a nice kick), the calzone (huge and very well filled!), and the pollo al fungi ( chicken in a delicious mushroom sauce, with heaps of crispy roast potatoes and a variety of root veg). Food was served piping hot, and was delicious, and the portions were generous. We sat for ages over coffees after our meal and we were not rushed in any way. The bill when it came was surprisingly reasonable, with the meal costing about the same as you’d pay in generic places like Bella Italia, but you’re getting far more and far better for your money at Nonnas Kitchen. We left very pleased, and pleasantly stuffed! We will return, which is the best recommendation one can give!

The cake and pastry selection which is all laid out across a large refrigerated display counter is fabulous and we couldn't resist taking a tray of treats home once we'd finished our meal. Worth the hours drive to get here and we will be returning for sure! 😋

Good food. Patchy service. We booked this restaurant for 11 people in June. Confirmed booking day before visit as required. We were give. a table set for 10. When questioned ‘manager’ said that the table seating could accommodate 11. He refused to give us Table set for 11 as guests for that table had requested it. Despite our early booking for 11 and confirmation…. It was our Golden Wedding Anniversary celebration. He could not have been less interested or helpful other than place another seat at the endof the table without place settings. His attitude was blasé at best and inconsiderate to our early booking and occasion for booking. Wont fault the food, service was ok - some chasing of orders was required. Staff attitude was good. There ‘Manager was less than interested in our early booking and occasion. His attitude was offensive to me, He made very little effort to help and unapologetic in his approach. He made our significant celebration feel very insignificant. SHAME ON HIM!

The pizzas and the chips were fairly good. However the lasagne didn't come with any white sauce and there was barely any lasagne sheets in there at all. The pizzas might be worth the price, but anything else is quite expensive otherwise.

The staff here are extremely pleasant. We were very happy with the quality of our food.

Went here for a family meal and yet again the food was lovely with good sized portions at good prices and a great selection of deserts, but the only thing that let's it down is that there seems to be staff just standing near the counter talking when people on tables could do with them asking for drinks instead of us asking and if it was not for that I would of given 5 stars.

I can say I’m a regular, but no longer. Today I was in the restaurant and although it was no fault of the waitress, or it was an accident at least. I had Coca Cola all over me, wet my hair, my top and leather jacket that was on the back of my seat…no apology, she was clearly embarrassed….the boss just looked on, not once coming near to apologise, to see if we were ok. Sorry bad management!!

Went to visit Nonnas today for lunch with friends - what a lovely meal! The food was delicious and prompt at coming to our table. All had a lovely time and will be returning very soon!

The restaurant messed up my order. Not once, but twice. The last call I made to fix the order, granted, I was a bit annoyed as I just wanted to sit and eat and for food to be lukewarm at least. The guy I spoke to on the phone told me it’s just a drink and I shouldn’t be so bothered. He continued to rudely speak over me, and did not let me explain it was annoying going up and down the stairs 3 times and having to call twice, due to the restaurant’s error. A simple sorry would have sufficed. All of the staff seem rude and have an air of arrogance. This guy took the biscuit. Just no need for it. It’s not a cheap takeaway. I will not be using nonnas again, and will put others off going there after this. I spend quite a lot of money and time in the restaurant usually. I don’t want them to have my money. Go to Marconato’s instead. Service is way superior, as is the food.

Went with friends for what we thought would be a lovely relaxed breakfast, and taking advantage of the 30% off voucher. Could have been more wrong. After taking our order for drinks and breakfast, the drinks were served. We then watched people come in after us, have their breakfasts and leave. After 35 mins we asked the waitress where our food was, she said it was coming. Two of us then received our meals, minus toast and bacon. After another 10+ minutes we asked where the rest of the food was, as others who had since come in were receiving their orders. Then another two Omelettes arrived, when asked about other 2 meals the waitress intimated that as we had ordered Omelettes, it had caused a delay to our order. But still no food came. By then, over one hour since arriving, first two meals had been eaten. I could see the waiters and kitchen staff looking at our order and it was clear they had missed to meals off the order. Spoke to young lady who appeared to be in charge, who said it wasn't their fault, I said whose fault is it then and that I had seen them looking at the order slip and rushing around. Eventually, almost one and half hours after arrival, the other two breakfasts arrived. We were offered more Free teas/coffees and toast, but by then we were not at all happy. After we had finished, they brought over a plate of small cakes, which we ate, compliments of the house. On paying the bill we deducted the service charge. We hate making a fuss, but when you see other coming in, eating and leaving, while you are waiting patiently and then virtually being told it's your fault because of what you ordered off the menu, it does not make for a happy experience.

With the festival going full strength in Hoddesdon last evening everywhere was very busy. As a booked party of 6 and a totally packed restaurant Nonnas Kitchen was on top form. Service good, food served quite quickly, hot and as always of a very good quility. The only thing that somewhat marred a good evening was as we were finishing our drinks at the end of the meal a totally silent waitress abruptly cleared the tablets around us and started to relay them with no attempt to clean them down first let alone wait for us to leave the table. When we politely mention this, the waitress who first tried to ignore us then very roughly scuffed everything up and stormed off having never uttered a word during the whole 5 minute episode. Having spent in excess of £200 we went away feeling a bit disappointed and rather let down to be honest.

Hair in pizza very bad quality and obvious not clean.

Not the best tonight..Pizzas were great, the chips however were not…delivered in plastic tubs which made them soggy & limp, but they were also under cooked.

Great food & very authentic Italian! Being Italian myself I am very picky with making sure that I eat the perfect Italian taste & they have definitely achieved that here!

On time and food was still hot and delicious!

Last night I travelled to Hoddesdon for the first time in 20 years and attended Nonna's Kitchen to see the legendary Bobby Davro. The show was amazing and my guest celebrity and Royal Photographer Anfisa who had that very day been attending a lunchtime event with HRH Princess Anne agreed that the meal was the best we had tasted it just made you want to ask for more but I am not Oliver Twist!! The staff are first rate and having been with the military the restaurant operation was pure military precision which isn't easy when working with a show timings. The event was managed by top DJ and event organiser Dean Martin so to conclude a very memorable event and one I shall remember for a long time. I just wished I lived closer as I would be in Nonna's at least once a week. Hoddesdon is lucky to have such a venue on the doorstep. As well as food there are many celebrity events perfect for a night out. I cannot recommend the venue highly enough.

Great food!!! Lovely service and attentive customer service and great entertainment watching my friend Kev Orkian interview Bobby Davro. Food absolutely delicious and cooked well, had prawn starter, then the delicious salmon in tomato sauce with potatoes and vegetables. Loved the coffee profiteroles too. £35 slapped on your bill for service not even asked bit rude and it doesn’t even go to the waitresses and also the Parmesan cheese was like gold dust felt really awkward with the waitress standing waiting for you to finish using some 🤷‍♀️and quickly whipped it away bit bizar and off putting. Food was really good can’t fault at all!

Donna's Kitchen was an ok experience the food wasn't all that great tbh but our waiter Eddy was a very nice lad who was great, also it was our first time there and they gave us a complimentary dessert which was a nice touch.

Lovely little place. Took my 3 kids to the pizza making, they loved it. It was lots of fun. Will definitely be back..

We arrived on a busy Saturday evening having thought we’d booked a table online. In fact we’d booked at a similar named restaurant 200 miles away! Entirely our mistake, yet the manager and staff were exceptional. Although the restaurant was full they made up a table for us outside and treated us like VIPs all evening. Outstanding service worth 6 stars!

I eat here often, service is good,never rush you, check on you, food is top level all the time, and if it wasn't for some reason they take it on board and sort it, I'd recommend anyone to go.x

Only complaint tonight would be the pitiful amount of tartare sauce that came with the calamari fritti, 2 maybe 3 teaspoons worth, about 1/4 of the tub full, so glad we had a jar in the cupboard to compensate…..The 6 small cakes however were fantastic.

Went out for a family dinner for my wife birthday, but everything went the wrong way. The starters were good, must say one of the best pizza that i had. Then the main came fast but undercooked 3 T-Bone, wanted well done but came 2 Medium & 1 Medium/Well done. The manager sent it back but the chef was not happy and didn't even have an apology from them. As a manager you have to apologise for the mistake, as i am a manger of Italian restaurant but mistakes are mistakes and they need to learn how to apologise. From that point we didn't get dessert but they gave us some free dessert. Still that didn't make us happy.

Big restaurant with plenty tables, nice food, excellent service. Returned to this reataurant today for some fabulous food I'm used to receive there. I paid and thought to myself that was a bit much for a lunch menu. I was NOT impressed that 15% gratuity was added and not even mentioned. Pay your staff decent wages and leave it up to the customers to tip if they want to. The service today did not warrant a 15% tip.

1st time visiting and was impressed. Lovely restaurant, a lot of variety to chose from. Food was delicious. Ice cream was perfection and the deserts looked so amazing had to try some and they did not disappoint. Great restaurant thank you

I do not normally leave reviews. This may only be the 3rd I have done in my life. You just can’t go wrong with Italian when it’s cooked and prepared well. Only downside was by the time the delivery got to me the food was cold but nothing a quick warm up in the oven couldn’t sort. Will 100% order again and will 100% be visiting the restaurant for dinner 1 day.

It's a lovely restaurant, I can't find any fault but my partner who is Italian and he said it is ok he had been taste much better at different place. But I'm British and I do enjoy the food. It's quite a bit pricey here.

My 10 year old daughter brought me here for my birthday and we had an absolutely amazing meal. The staff, food, atmosphere, etc were all top notch. We both wanted starters and a main and there was so much to choose from. Even though I wanted to change a few of the ingredients, it wasn’t an issue for them. The portion sizes are great and the service was just right. Not too rushed and not too long in between courses. All in all, we had a brilliant night and my daughter was over the moon with her dessert…..again, so much to choose from and they all looked delicious. I would highly recommend!! 5+ stars from me.

My son had such a fab morning at Nonnas on their pizza making workshop . Dean was amazing at telling a little background to the Nonnas history and where pizza originated from and the children got to create their own pizzas to eat! They were also given an Easter cookie baked fresh onsite and the staff were so lovely ! I sat on a nearby table and had a fresh baked baguette with bacon and latte which was delicious. Dean and the team have always been so friendly and accommodating I honestly can’t fault the restaurant at all . They truly are a big part of the local community and it’s so nice to see them thriving in the town. Their beautiful front door flowers and displays just make everything so welcoming. Thanks Nonnas !

Celebrated my Nan’s 80th here. 25 people in our group, another two large group bookings and it ran like clock work. The staff were attentive, food arrived on time, hot and everyone’s meal was delicious. There was live music that day which really added to the atmosphere. If you’ve a large party do consider coming here as they were excellent at managing large tables.

We went to the George Michael tribute night and had an amazing time. Food and service were excellent. The act was brilliant, followed by great music afterwards by DJ Dean. It was a great party atmosphere.

Just had food delivered and OMG my new favourite restaurant! The carbonara was the best I've literally ever taste. The bruchetta was divine and the assortment of cakes were heavenly. I don't often do reviews but I couldn't not!!!! Bravo Nonnas Kitchen, Bravo!!!!!
