Great day a Nonnas. food was amazing. service was impeccable

Went in on a Thursday morning for a late breakfast, place is spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Staff attentive and courteous. Good choice of tasty food on menu, lovely ice cream and plenty of dessert to choose from. Price wasn't too bad. Will definitely return for lunch as well. Visited 2 more times since original review, definitely added to my fave places for local Italian food!

It's our restaurant of choice when visiting family in Hoddesdon. Have visited many times and have never been disappointed. The food is great and the serving staff friendly and attentive. Their home made desserts and ice cream selection is out of this world. Something for everyone. Highly recommended.

Came for breakfast today was really nice food chefs kiss but was let down by the waiter with blonde hair middle aged seemed really rude and grumpy will be returning for the amazing English breakfast cooked by a young lad just hope to not see that waiter again or if so she has a better attitude

Well the waiter that brought to our table slammed down the drinks down, I arrived a little later, while he was slamming the drinks down he saw I had just arrived and didn’t even ask what I would like to drink. I found this very rude. A friendly waitress came and asked about my drinks and took our orders for the meals, she engaged with our 2 year old in a kind carding way. Food came from this male waiter, eventually he asked if I would like cheese for my spaghetti Bolognese I replied yes. Deaf ears on that one never received. Not once did anyone come and ask if the food was ok, I would have asked for my cheese. We wanted more drinks yeah I’m writing a review on‘s kitchen saying I’m not happy with it with the service today you know I asked for cheese for my spaghetti Bolognese and it never came. No one ever came over and said is the meal okay? I would have said no where is the cheese I asked for. We had to ask the waitress over to get us some more drinks you know for over £125.00 the service was really not good. Last time we came it was amazing service but this time “and this time with only about 30 people in there” it was not good. What a shame, the food was amazing but you need to get either more staff or get the male waiter a personality transplant.

Authentic Italian restaurant with a good vibe, lots of Italian / English patrons who add to a Mediterranean family vibe. Choices of gelato and pastries too.

Had delivery of 2 pizzas and a salad last night, the salad was fine but pizzas arrived stone cold.

I did order 7 pizzas today 1 diavola and 6 margherita one of it with chips on it i was very disappointed as the all pizzas were VERY SALTED and the margherita's had GARLIC on top!!!! if this is the extra topping on the pizza well mention it on the menu !!!!!! because the margherita were disgusting !!!!!!! we couldn't eat them they was very salted!!!!!

They always have wonderful, freshly cooked food with very good portion sizes

Took my mum on Mother's Day, who had a wonderful time. The staff are friendly and attentive, whilst the food and atmosphere top notch. Cannot wait to go again.

We went early full of children. They were very well behaved. I will take my grandchildren there. I would like to return in the evening. I have heard they have live music some evenings.

Our welcome was prompt and the initial sit down service was lovely. However the moment the food was placed on the table - there was an extreme lack of attentiveness up until we left. The table asked for items that we never received and had to chase up other staff for. Manager sitting about talking to staff whilst members of our table were flagging for service with no success. Our server up and left in the middle of things without handing us over to another server, which I found to be unprofessional. A pity as the food was good and the restaurant was open and nice to be in, but we lost our appetite for the nice looking dessert after waiting 15 minutes after we had all clearly finished. Even payment and farewells were a frosty affair. Definitely been to warmer welcoming and nicer Italian places for service. Think I will be sticking with those places going forward.

Huge menu with zero care for food quality, this establishment is built on it’s atmosphere. Sadly it lacks quality everywhere else

I booked this restaurant on recommendation from a few people for a real important birthday experience. Unfortunately the waiters let the booking down. There was average, flat service, that was it. I said in the booking, it’s my husband’s 50th birthday all over it. On the day of our visit….. during ordering I must’ve said “it’s your birthday/ it’s his birthday or ‘birthday boy’” Nothing! I asked another waiter to take a photo - he just repeated the offer of having to go to the glass cabinets to order dessert - he wasn’t listening… Three of the dinners were great - the spaghetti carbonara was too oily for one of our party. The ice cream was nice. It was an average meal with lacklustre service on an important birthday. Good for a standard meal - not for a special occasion/ celebration - hence the average score. Especially given the shoulder shrug from waiter - on bill presentation. Disappointing.

Wonderful lunch and atmosphere. Staff are good however, need to be a bit more professional to lift standards in the establishment. The Food, Quality and Presentation was excellent.

Lunch at Nonnas Kitchen today was lovely. Great atmosphere, always clean. We had the most amazing Pina Coladas. Mmm. Special 2 course menu. Great value...breaded mushrooms with garlic alioli and a delicious pizza followed by a latte and a cappuccino. We have been coming here for years. It's an amazing restaurant with fantastic tribute nights incl 3 course meal and prosecco.We will be back in July for Rob Lamberti.

Always have a wonderful meal here! Food is always fantastic, no matter when I go, what day or time of the year. Service and food quality is always 10/10. They always decorate the place to the theme of the season which I love, and the staff are so attentive and have fabulous customer service. Also the food is very authentic!

Amaizing food couldn't believe i hadn't heard of this place before

Saturday night with 9 of us. Music after 21.00 was excellent. Food, great quality and very generous portions. Such a friendly atmosphere. Plenty of staff who were attentive and polite. Couldn't fault the evening and were made to feel welcome.

I had my 21st birthday celebration here. Wow everyone’s is so lovely. I couldn’t have had a better birthday. The food wow amazing. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough!!! Thank you so much✨✨

3 of us dined for lunch yesterday. Food was tasty and generous. Staff friendly and professional. Will definitely go back. Only suggestion is on allergies: I asked what the gluten free options were (it's not marked on the menu) and was told by the waiter they ONLY do pasta GF, queried this: you don't do any other GF dishes? Was told no, only pasta. We nearly left as I didn't fancy pasta but I asked a manager and there is loads of GF options, they just can't do pizza or some breaded items. I think if someone says they've an allergy, just call manager over or train all waiting staff on allergens. Ps they do a GF cheesecake 😋

Lovely place. It was our first time at Nonna’s Kitchen last night and certainly not the last. Staff were great and the food was delicious and fairly priced! Good gelato as well 🍨 Special mention to Filipa and Manoel who made us feel really special and welcomed. Thank you for the great night!

Had lunch there, and I will never go back. They bring us pasta first, which was half of the order. The other 2 person had to wait another 10 minutes for their pizza. Pizza came eventually, wrong. The waiter took it back to correct it, and what a disaster it came back after another 5 minutes. Raw mushrooms on the pizzas, dried ham on the other, such a shame. Service.... below 1 star. You call the staff to ask for something and you get some fed up looks 🙄 I would definitely not go back

I came for a meal with my boyfriend he had the penne arrabbiata and i had the carbonara and if i could go back in time and choose to eat somewhere else that night i would because little did i know i was about to have the worst night of my life! As soon as we got home from nonnas kitchen i was feeling nauseous and within an hour of eating there i was violently sick from 8pm in the evening all the way to 5am. I had lost 2kg from puking and was severely dehydrated as i could not keep any water down. I had puked around 20 times which made me extremely lightheaded and dizzy. I ended up in hospital at 5am and had to do several blood tests, and was kept on a drip to hydrate me for 5 hours, and was told it was food poisoning. I called up nonnas kitchen the next day and all they could say was that they have excellent chefs and didn’t offer a refund at all. Worst night of my life, nonnas kitchen need new chefs and management. Do not recommend at all. If you want good italian food go to Pappagone they never fail.

Pizza not close to being cooked and un-stirred flavourless risotto, the garlic bread with cheese was ok.

Awful customer service and rude staff. Can’t even rate the food as I don’t even get to order anything. The “manager” or “director” is obnoxious and clearly has problems with people ordering food. Quite extraordinary

Excellent food cooked perfectly everytime, DJ adds a great vibe. Well stocked bar makes it ideal when you hit the dance floor.

What an amazing hidden gem. Food is absolutely lovely all the staff are very nice and helpful the setting is beautifully done. Went there for mine and my daughters birthday. It was her 18th amazing night. Many great memories made even got me up dancing now that was good, usually behind the decks. Every Friday and Saturday night, they do a disco from 9 till midnight. Brilliant resident dj Dean Martin absolutely nailed it. Very reasonable prices. Will definitely be going back there. Well done to all the staff amazing 👏.

Good food but the service was appalling. We were greeted by a very unfriendly maitre d who seemed to think he was doing us a favour by allowing us in. During the meal the plates were taken away before everyone had finished and straight away asked if we wanted the bill! Being polite and courteous and making your customers feel welcome should be a priority

Booked a table on the phone and the gentleman on the other end was very abrupt (not a good start). We got to the restaurant and the service from begining to the end was poor, I felt like we were doing them a favour being there like it was out of the way to serve us. Then the food came out. One word... bland! I don't understand how this place is popular to be honest, me and my family must be missing something. I don't like leaving a negative review, but it has happened twice here at Nonna's. I gave the benefit of doubt the first time and I gave them a second try. One thing is for certain, they are consistently poor.

Nonna's was recommended to me by a lady I met whilst in hospital. I'm so glad that our paths crossed, otherwise I would never have discovered this gem that is only a few miles away. The food is amazing, staff delightful and surroundings lovely. Our visit today was to celebrate our wedding anniversary, my husband's birthday and the end of my chemo treatment. We were made really welcome and will definitely be visiting again soon. Well done all at Nonna's , its five stars and a massive recommendation from us!

Arrived 10-15 minutes after the time we asked for. Most of the food seemed fine (the family ate it so can't comment myself). The spaghetti carbonara was very greasy/oily and didn't have much taste to it. Good amount of pancetta though.

Good food and polite, friendly service. Also, everything was nice and clean. Additionally, we were able to use a voucher off the meal cost, after visiting at Christmas.

I had a takeaway which was delicious. Best takeaway we've had in ages. The foodxwas wrll coojed snd the pirtions generous. It would have been very expensive but they had a 40% off deal on justeat. Will definitely order again when an offer on.

I gave one star solely because of one reason only. How can you charge a £25 service charge! I know your menu says that for groups of 6 or more there is a compulsory service charge of 12.5%. However, I found this ridiculous because we were only 3 adults and 3 children and the youngest child was 4 at the time - so if I sat on a separate table to them and paid separately then I would have saved £25! I would understand if it was a 6 adults and all had multiple drinks and food and the waiter was back and forth... but my 3 children are hassle free so I just don't see a £25 service charge justified.

Managed to get us a table for 5 so busy! We had a great time and the food was lovely with a good kids menu and colouring in for our little one.

Health and safety hazard. Don't risk eating here. Staff were quite rude upon entering and seating us. When we were waiting for our starters we noticed the pizza chef put his finger in his mouth and continued cooking the food without washing his hands. This is a health and safety violation. When we saw this we reported the issue to the manager. His response was that he didn’t want to tell the chef as he didn’t want to cause problems. Which is really disgusting. All the food was poorly seasoned. Pizza dough is same quality as kebab pizza. Not real Italian pizza. Once we got home we all had stomach aches and signs of food poisoning. Do not recommend.

Lovely family celebration, staff attentive, delicious food. The only thing that lets this establishment down, is the lack of vegan choices. You can have vegan pizza (no vegan cheese) or pasta in tomato sauce. Really poor choice, they need to add additional choices.

We always Enjoy Nonnas. Our grandchildren love coming for their birthday meals. I'd pre booked on The Fork, received email conformation literally straight away. But when we arrived at Nonnas they had no booking reservation for us. Fortunately they were not busy and could fit us in. I was ready to show email conformation, but that was dismissed. We didn't get the comfy corner seating I'd requested.

This restaurant has a great vibe, a wonderful menu and the dishes taste lovely. The ultimate differentiator is the pastry counter which serves delicancies for you to eat in or take away, we always buy a couple lf trays to take home.

Pasta arrived completely different to the image on the menu, essentially just spaghetti and mussels with a tomato based sauce. Pizza was also cold but the crust was burnt all over.

Service too slow.the food comes in bits and drabs.one has finished eating before the other person person receives his.the waitresses can smile a bit more

We love Nonna’s and we get it delivered to our house every Friday night. The delivery is always on time or earlier. I came with a group for the Whitney night. The food was amazing and nothing is too much trouble. We are a takeaway family and it’s the only Italian we will go to having tried them all!

Arrived for breakfast, very warm welcome. Restaurant was empty initially but began to fill , a bit chilly at first but manageress came and apologised and place soon began to warm up. Food was very enjoyable.

Great night 5th December. The only place I've been that now how to cook sprouts, not the small cannon balls you normally get.

The food was wonderful and well portioned. For two people, we spent around £40, so £20 per person, which is good value. Considering we both had a main course, seafood risotto and mushroom with Parma ham pizza, and also ice cream to share. There were a lot of mussels (6) for this dish. They also offered Parmesan cheese for the dish. The selection of desserts were vast, but we didn’t have the stomach space for it this time. The dining area was massive and I went on a Saturday lunch hour and it was not very packed. The tables were clean. The toilets were of good cleanliness and had toilet paper, soap and moisturiser. The service by the staff were fast, however most of the staff gave an aloof vibe. Some staff were friendly. When we were leaving, the staff gave us a coupon to encourage us to come visit again (30% off), which was a surprise! This may be a promotional event, but I’m not sure. The coupon is usable for 2025 Jan, so I will be visiting again. Overall, I would come back again because of the quality of the food and the atmosphere! Yum!

Great food from here but the only disappointment is the prices keep going up, a double whammy when the delivery price went up as well as the price of the meals. The food is great quality though.

I visited Nonna's Kitchen, eager to indulge in their famously delicious arancini. However, I was met with a surprising and disappointing twist: each arancino appeared to have shrunk by a staggering 80%! What used to be a satisfying traditional rice ball-sized treat is now barely a golf ball sized snack. It’s hard to appreciate the flavors when the portion sizes are so drastically reduced. For the price, I expected a more substantial serving. It left me feeling underwhelmed and questioning the value. I hope they reconsider hope they bring back the original arancino size soon!
