Would recommend no one to come here over price

My first and last visit ! The service was shambolic. They messed up our order on 3 occasions. I requested the bread to be crispy, it was actually very dry doughy ! I did complain and they said, no problem we will re-do. 15 minutes later, the bread arrived and it was cremated ! I requested cous cous and got rice! My partner requested BBQ sauce and again didn’t arrive ! Attention to detail is extremely poor and for this reason we will NOT be returning!

The lamb shish in a tomato sauce with yoghurt is absolutely delicious. The meat is amazingly tender and the sauce is great. The staff are all friendly and lovely. Also, despite being on the A10 the sound proofing is phenomenal. You can’t hear any traffic noise at all.

Went here for my daughters 18th there was a group of 20+ the food and service was amazing very good value for money no faults whats so ever. Thank you to all of the team

We were a party of 12 including 4 toddlers. The staff were very efficient. We had mostly skewers which were all extremely well cooked and very very tasty. The only gripe I would have is the lamb was a little bit overpriced at £24. Nevertheless worth a visit.

Leaving my first ever online review because everything about the meal I just had here was awesome. I ordered just a main course of the mixed seafood and it was honestly one of the most delicious meals I've ever had, every element cooked to perfection and so tasty. Also recieved complimentary bread and dips to start, and again, these were just so good! Granted, I was very tired and hungry which may have made me extra specially grateful for a great meal, but the service was so good, I felt so welcome, was served so promptly, the overall experience has totally made my week!

This was our third visit here, it’s convenient if staying in the Travelodge as we were. It was a Thursday evening so no need to book. The decor is smart and the welcome warm. We had a great table tight in the centre of things and nothing was too much trouble. Amazing waitress who can remember everyone’s order without writing it down, we were offered complimentary mezze which was a nice touch , tasty dips and wonderful bread (if you order this as a full starter don’t eat too much bread you won’t have room for anything else!) two of us had the mixed kebab combo, lamb and chicken , the lamb was lovely. Presentation is lovely and the portion size more than adequate. The salmon kebab was enormous and very well received. We had a couple of bottles of Turkish red wine which was delicious. Service is added to the bill , and is very well deserved. We also gave a cash tip as the waitress was so good. We will definately be back if we come back to the area.

Pleasant lunch at Shish Kitchen today. We ordered the set lunch menu which was good value. Soft drinks a little pricey at £3.80 for a small bottle though.

Do not be put off by the unusual location or decor. The food is excellent 👌 😋 honestly you'll drive up and doubt my review, but never was "don't judge a book by it's cover" more apt. Enjoy the delicious food :)

We usually always go to Shish Kitchen out of all of the bog standard Turkish restaurants. But I must say it’s a little tired now and it wasn’t great yesterday. As soon as you’re sat the waitresses are there ready to take your drinks and food order. They don’t give you any time to just sit and look through the menu.. The food was average unlike before when it would be served piping hot and with a smile. It must have been taken over again as it has gone downhill a lot. Their cocktails have no alcohol but filled with syrup and fruit juice. They’re not cheap either which makes it worse. The last owners would never tell you “no sorry” but these people are happy to say no ! They don’t even ask if your request can be made it’s a straight NO! !Service charge is added for only two people ! The waitresses rush you out as it seems they’ll prefer to stare at an empty restaurant. They are nice and friendly ladies but you can tell they’ve been asked to get customers out in order to welcome in more. It’s not a fast food restaurant or is it now ? Ladies toilets don’t have a bin but a plastic bag flung on the floor with dirty tissues on top of the bag. I could keep going! Time to find another nice authentic Turkish restaurant with cocktails that you can taste have alcohol and a clean environment. Also service charged that you are informed of as it’s written clearly in the menu and only added for tables 8 or more people!

Delicious food and excellent service. Mia and Liuba greet you with a great smile. They are friendly yet very professional and make sure you leave with an amazing experience.

This was our second visit here, we were staying in the Travelodge next door and having a catch up with friends. We booked earlier in the day but didn’t need to as it was midweek it was steady but not busy. All the staff we encountered were polite , pleasant and efficient. One lady even managed to accurately take our order without writing it down or using a device of some sort. We ordered the cold Meze platter to start plenty to share between four. Very tasty and social, this was left on the table to finish with the main course. All of us had kebabs of some sort, salmon (huge pieces of salmon) chicken ( a little dry) and a spicy minced beef version (not spicy enough) all came with rice and salad. You may not need a starter if you choose the combi option as you get two kebabs. All dishes were beautifully presented and in my opinion offered good value for money. My only issue is with volume of the music, it was so loud and spoilt conversation , initially we were put under a speaker but then I requested to move. Last time we came was a Saturday night and there was live music, again very very loud and not the best. Would come back because we like trying different food options.

We have been dining here for a number of years The food is absolutely delicious. The desserts are home made and tastes delicious. My fave is the hot meze platter and the lamb shish!! Mia and Liuba are always so polite so helpful And they always greet us with a smiling face. I can’t praise this place enough!! Food and service is definitely 10/10.

The restaurant is a beautiful interior with classy decor! The service is second to none with incredible attention, detail, and friendly staff. I attended my grandmother’s 60th with a large booking of around 20 people. The food was timely. Beautifully presented and drinks were constant. The food was incredible both appearance and taste! Special shout out to liuba, our server Who kept us refilled on drinks and satisfied at all I would recommend this restaurant for any and all occasions!

I travel the UK for work purposes and I ended up eating at this restaurant! The restaurant is super clean, the staff are very friendly and polite, and the food that I had was absolutely top drawer!!! It's a shame I live in the North West of England cos I would be a regular here! Don't hesitate to come along and try this food!

We celebrated my mother's birthday at Shish Kitchen in Cheshunt based on a highly-rated recommendation from an Instagrammer. Despite driving 80 miles to reach the restaurant, our experience had both positives and negatives. As complimentary starters, we received two baskets of Turkish bread with sauces and hummus, which were enjoyable. However, while some dishes like the Lamb Chops and Lamb Skewers were excellent, others like the Chicken Beyti and Chicken Wings were disappointing, being hard and chewy. Although our server graciously offered to replace the unsatisfactory dishes, the overall service lacked promptness, requiring us to repeatedly request additional sauces and sugar for our Turkish tea. When settling the bill, we opted to remove the discretionary service charge due to the service shortcomings, but encountered unexpected charges for the bread and sauces instead. Despite this, we chose not to dispute the bill further, given the occasion. Overall, while the quality of the Turkish bread and certain dishes was commendable, the inconsistent service and unexpected charges detracted from the dining experience. Consequently, we do not plan to revisit Shish Kitchen in the future. Note: Dont trust Instagram reviews, often they get paid for it.

I was there yesterday, ordered some drinks for myself. Rude waitress pouting her lips acting like I owe her a favour. The waitress with short hair seemed rude, the other one also. Both of them really bad at customer service and people skills. The gentleman at the bar seemed very nice and so are the chefs!

Superb restaurant that really strikes you with beautiful presentation and exceptional service. Big thanks to the staff who were very helpful and welcoming with a member of the family with mobility issues. The place is only really accessible by car and right next to a travelodge. The decor inside is stunning and the staff honestly amazing and real professionals. Always have their hands full, are pleasant and polite, quietly observant and superbly efficient at everything. There is a lovely selection on the lunch menu which is great value at 2 or 3 courses. Food portions are decent and meats were cooked superbly. The lamb in the mixed shish just melted in the mouth. Wow. Desserts were great too. The tiramisu and cheesecake whilst nothing special hit the spot. Whilst the main menu is a little pricy, I suspect many here were having the great value lunch menu. There are many items not typical Turkish restaurant fare so I may try these in the future given the experience we had today. Keep up the good work!

Have not been to this place in years. It was nice before, and evrytime I went I never had any complaints. Today I went at complete random as I was in the area & its even better then before. Nice settings, Nice staff ( I got served by Mia ) Excellent service & of course most importantly food was amazing. Will have to come here more often.

Like the look of this restaurant, a modern decor, good food and friendly staff. Sauteed octopus is good, and the saucy prawns one of my favourites. The grilled meats are always yummy, of course. Children are welcomed. Friendly staff help the experience. Great for takeaways if you dont want to sit in.

Food quality was good, service and environmental were also excellent but food was over priced, not worth paying that high price for same Turkish food you can have in any Turkish restaurant in much less price and on the top service charges are also you paying on top.. it’s a shame that we all really loves that restaurant but not going back there as it’s a pocket killer.

The food was great. Unfortunately being a table of 5 people. 4 pieces of bread for a mixed meze and mixed platter costing £140 isn't great only to be charged for extra bread. Once mains were finished we were not even offered tea or a dessert menu only to be informed by the manager that they don't offer tea. The waitress was great but left on her own to wait on more tables than she should have too. Shame as we always drive past everyday and thought we'd try it out.

Just when you think great service is a thing of the past, a place like Shish Kitchen comes along to challenge and completely alter my view. The place is chic, warm, welcoming and most of all, the service is absolutely fantastic. I have only been twice, but each time the staff are efficient and professional but also kind and hospitable; most importantly, the food is spectacular; the word “succulent” comes to kind for their mixed kebabs and seafood dishes… a little pricey perhaps, but absolutely worth it! Delicious with generous portions. They have a loyal repeat customer in me!

Every time I’ve been either to eat in or take away, it’s been absolutely amazing. The food is incredibly delicious, melt in your mouth and tasty. The service is impeccable, and with friendly staff, always generous and supportive. The atmosphere is relaxing and neat. Kudos! 👍🏽👌🏽👏🏽🙏🏽

Had breakfast and literally everything was out of date. The bread was dated, the just warmed it up. There was sliced of gozleme which again was old. The fry oil was clearly old from the colour of the chips. The eggs were cold. The tea had very bland taste. Informed the waitress on the way out and she didn’t even seem to care about it without an apology.

Best Lamp Skewer. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We went to this restaurant to try out breakfast (when they had promotion on) OIL WAS OLD chips did not taste nice it was black and oily. The bread was old from the night before they reheated it, the tea was bland. The egg was cold. Nothing was fresh….. the only nice thing was the Nutella lol. Don’t go here…..

Fabulous the staff all attentive and smiley the atmosphere warm and welcoming and the food out of this world absolutely fantastic the SHISH burger and the mixed grill we had and both were delicious we were very impressed

Really lovely staff,very welcoming and accommodating. Food was cooked to perfection, the lamb was unreal, stylish decor.

The reviews here are pretty much true. Had breakfast this morning and pleasantly surprised with the shared breakfast platter for £35, the photos speak for themself. It was more than enough for 2 people and we couldn't finish it all. The only critique would be that the hot food was just warm enough. All in all, a very good experience.

Amazing food, would definitely recommend. But the service was terrible. Staff are very rude and unhelpful, would benefit from some customer service training. They would not allow minor changes to the menu. They removed plates from people at our table but others have even finished eating on a number of occasions. They rushed us out of the restraunt when it was not busy at all. They would not accommodate anything for customers, they had orange juice and lemonade but would not allow us to have an orange and lemonade. Waitress stood and watched us at all times and made us feel very uncomfortable. Would not recommend!

A family gathering, altogether a very pleasant experience. The table service very efficient. Will call again.

Great quality food, slightly above average prices. Clean premises and helpful staff, 3 things need improvement in my opinion - The menu is small with not much choice, Lack of vegetarian and child friendly options, The music, they really need to play better music that customers can enjoy, today they were playing what I believe was a Turkish Break Beat music, I understand that it is a Turkish restaurant but there must be more popular music they could play.

This has to be our favourite Turkish restaurant, the food is delicious, big portions, nice atmosphere and never disappointed.

Great place to eat just off the motorway. We were looking for a place to eat on our journey home. We wanted something nicer than a quick fast food at a service station without a long detour for a proper meal. This place did not disappoint. Really yummy food on the lunchtime menu, that was reasonably priced for the quality. Was just two minutes off the motorway And ample parking in front of the restaurant. Will come again.

Very good quality Turkish food. Staff are friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is very good. Would happily recommend to friends and family. Would visit again if I was in the area. I thought the price of the meal a little higher than the quality delivered; so I give 4 stars out of 5.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, fresh tasty food and lovely atmosphere. Suitable for vegetarians who like to eat tasty food instead of something nondescript and boring ! We’ve been coming here a long time and it was our saving grace over lockdown when we had a weekly takeaway. Same staff as now and still smiling!

Excellent authentic Turkish cuisine and good portions. Their muska boregi (feta cheese and spinach parcels) were very good.Just wish they did tara and kusi foran (sorry not spelt right) knucle of lamb. Not too busy when I went but I suspect during July and August best to book

Fantastic food, amazing atmosphere and most definitley the best Mediterranean cuisine serving restaurant in the north London area. The staff are extremely polite (the girl who is the host). Once again, very very tasty food... amazing lamb shisha and their new burgers are out of this world. Will reccomend!!!!

Can’t fault the decor of this place, it gives the wow factor when you arrive for sure. I ordered the mixed hot starter and I was so disappointed with it. To say I was the only one in at the time you can’t blame being rushed to get this out. It’s was all greasy and tasteless. The halloumi had barely been cooked, the sausage and the cheese parcels was greasy and had no taste, and how do you manage to get falafel and hummus to taste of nothing? At least the flat bread saved the meal. Most of all the prices were sky high. I ate at a Lebanese place the night before for £5 cheaper and I was blown away with the quality of their food.

I have been here quite a number of times and we loved it

At first i didn't mind the place but then it got a bit too much when the stuff kept looking at our table and talking among themselves and just kept staring. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life and paying 200 pounds for a meal i expect better staff.

Generally the food was really good just the beef in the main dish lacked seasoning. The only thing that gave the beef any taste was bbq sauced on it abd the mash was quite bland asides from that everything else was good.

Food was really well cooked. Has the mixed seafood grill and was cooked perfectly. Service was great, waitresses friendly and accommodating. Would definitely go back.

Went here last night after a long hard day with a few of the lads. Service came with a smile and was both welcoming and accomodating. The food was the nicest Turkish / Mediterranean cuisine I've personally ever had out. Thank you for the experience I will certainly be back! Of course, given the above, I highly recommend this place for any ocassion, chilled and relaxed or even more formal.

Went to Shish Kitchen today for a family birthday meal. Restaurant looks and feels great. The food was excellent, cooked perfectly, and good size portions. It's definitely one restaurant I'll be going back to!

Lovely food great staff. BUT we went for the New Year’s Eve set menu (mistake ) nothing special about the menu. the meal I had with the complimentary drink on a normal night would of been £40 I do think it was cheeky to be charging £90 i know it’s New Year’s Eve but if I would of known I wouldn’t of bothered the four of us with drinks £496. Shame because it was a lovely place and probably wouldn’t go back now out of principle.
