The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Been here several times, and is no secret that I have for a long time, stated this to be the best restaurant in the world! Food is always top notch, service is always spot on and as always did not disappoint. Also Saffron offers a little bit of sanity in a mad world right now, with minimal covid nonsensing, the restaurant doing what it has to by law, but no stupidity and silly stickers, just common sense and letting people enjoy themselves. Saffron Lounge excels in the delicious food and the dining experience.

My family have used the Clove for years now and have never had a disappointed meal!!Service is always with a smile and delivered speedily. We have chosen probably most dishes on the menu and cannot fault the heat or description given for the meal. Exactly what you need to know when picking something new. Can't wait for our visit - sooon.

This is the best curry house in Bolton. I have been so many times and every time the food and service are spot on. I've tied the main menu, the children have tried the mexican menu and we have all tried the £10 lunchtime offers. All of them were amazing. Thought I'd take the time to finally review these guys as they deserve the credit.

Our local go to restaurant, they are simply the very best Indian restaurant. It is a real treat to eat here. We last visited for a birthday celebration for our two grown up children.

Please note….this is no longer in Alford, it is now in Mablethorpe on Victoria Road. It is also called Mo’s and not Nayeemas. It is really difficult to find as there isn’t really a sign outside. There is also no car park available other than a very small amount of on street parking. It’s a very strange place and doesn’t look like an Indian restaurant, it seems like they’ve not long moved from Alford as the restaurant is tiny, I’d say only caterers for 20 people maximum. They also do not have their alcohol licence yet so are unable to serve alcohol, however you are able to take your own alcohol. Soft drinks are available. Booking is advisable as it’s such a small place at the moment. The food was delicious! I had a chicken tikka masala and my partner had a chicken korma, the chicken was cooked to perfection. If you are an average size portion eater then sharing a curry, rice and naan bread between 2 is more than enough. We ordered one each of everything not realising how big the portions were! The naan breads are homemade and absolutely delicious! The restaurant also does takeaway, which can be collected or they do deliver (charges apply) The young lady who served us…I believe her name may have been Bobby. She was absolutely brilliant, she was about the only person there doing anything! She managed every table by herself and dealt with the people coming in for collections. The other people working there seem to have inappropriate conversations too close to public ears, and really like to moan about each other! But in summary, the food was fantastic and Bobby was an amazing waitress. Worth a visit.

I highly recommend it, the taste of every type of food we had was excellent, it was truly the most delicious.

Absolutely fantastic experience every time! The food is consistently delicious, bursting with authentic Indian flavors, and beautifully presented. The service is top-notch — warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. What really stands out is how the staff go above and beyond, even when the hiccup has been on our end. They’ve always handled everything with such grace and generosity. Can’t recommend this place enough!

We order from here on a regular basis but tonight was a serious disappointment! Over £30 of food was shocking quality. First of all we gave delivery driver £2 tip he then asked for change as we paid with 2 £20 notes and when we said no he pulled a bag full of change out, seems to me he wanted to keep the 10er! The onion bhajis were dry and hard, butter chicken was cold and I could’ve put the window through with the meat, the rice was cold and the chips tasted stale and the garlic naan was pretty much raw! Back to Rhodes tandoori in future one thinks!

We always walk past this place and always empty or at least ever time we passed it. That was the main reason we didn’t try it being a chef myself. Then we decided to order a delivery. The price was responsible until you see what you get for your money. The taste is bland on all the items we ordered! Being local myself I did give them the benefit of the doubt but they proved why they are so quiet. Few yards away there are two Indian restaurant both are not excellent far from but much better than this place. Amazed how it’s still open. And the five star ratings? Did you have proper Indian foods?

The service was excellent. We came for coffee and drinks, and Abdul received us. He was very professional and provided a great service. Will definitely come back!

Ordered a delivery for two while staying in Airbnb for Marathon weekend. Delivery was prompt and the meals excellent value for money.

If you are ever in Westgate, eat in this place, the food is outstanding. The food takes a bit of time but seriously worth the wait. The poppadoms are good, but don't eat too many as you won't eat your main meal. I took half mine home in a doggy bag!LOVELY PLACE.

Just had my first takeaway from Chutneys and oh my gosh...it was amazing! Tasted different to the usual thoroughfare you get from Indian takeaways. Like they really knew how to use their spices! I recommend. 5/5 for sure!
