Jaflong Tandoori in Southwark

We always walk past this place and always empty or at least ever time we passed it. That was the main reason we didn’t try it being a chef myself. Then we decided to order a delivery. The price was responsible until you see what you get for your money. The taste is bland on all the items we ordered! Being local myself I did give them the benefit of the doubt but they proved why they are so quiet. Few yards away there are two Indian restaurant both are not excellent far from but much better than this place. Amazed how it’s still open. And the five star ratings? Did you have proper Indian foods?

Fantastic Indian 5*. Best in South London. Would highly recommend to anyone who fancies a chicken tikka sashlik and a garlic naan.

i have been using this place for 3 years and never had a bad meal even ther buffet on sunday is great value i have eaten in lots of indian resturants all over england but jaflongs dansank is the best i have eaten the plates are hot you dont have anyone hovering over you they dont serve alchol but take your own no corkage charge food hot and very tasty you want go far wrong here give it a try at 9.95 for a sunday buffet you cannot go wrong

I had put Ripon Jaflong into the search engine and unfortunately didn't check before ordering. After ordering and paying, realized this place was 200 miles away. Called them immediately and explained. The man was very curt and told me to just phone someone else. I asked him to explain as I didn't understand and then he just put the phone down. My husband called back and explained but half way through the explanation the man put the phone down on him. We use Jaflong in Ripon and they are always polite, but this place clearly isn't.

Please save your money and time. They accommodate to everyone walking in and there is no buffet food, there are two types of rice 6 dishes full of sauce and potatoes. Every one that walked in they said 10-15 minutes for us to refil as everything is cooked fresh, he sits you down gets yiur drinks and gives you loads of popadom. literally bring one small bowl and add to small buffet area with many people waiting. I told mr Ali your service is really poor worst buffet I’ve been too he said Nothing I can do I’m bringing out the food first come first serve and wait time to bring out a dish is 30 minute for 1 portion of food at a buffet. Bland food you can cook better at home!! This is a scam, when asked for wings the manager said wings are finished for today 😂 it was only 6pm was left so disappointed kids asked for food but there was nothing to serve. Please avoid by all means. Had to come home with local takeaway as we were all still hungry.
