A hidden gem! I found this place by accident and I’m so glad I did. The food was amazing, particularly the Achari Paneer and Matka Kulfi!

This cosy little Indian restaurant, tucked away on a side street near London Bridge, offers a nice menu featuring all the classic dishes. We tried the lamb korma and lamb rogan josh, along with a variety of sides. It’s a great spot for a midweek catch-up or a relaxed date night. Although there was a large table with one particularly loud guest, it didn’t detract much from the overall experience.

Great food, friendly service and good atmosphere. Family friendly transitioning to semi-boozy, korma level lairy. The haryali chicken tikka is divine.

Writing this review while going back home. Went with my husband for his birthday. We had Agra style aalo tikki and kolkata chukandari chops. Luckily the waiter suggested that which came out nice. But the Agra style aalo tikki was so soggy not crispy at all. Please a big no for the agra style tikkis. If you have ever tried the delhi tikkis you won’t go for this. Its too soggy and not crispy at all unlike the menu says. And not surprisingly I ordered dal makhani and my husband ordered kadai murgh. I was so happy as I love dal makhani a lot. But yes it was soooo disappointing, i mean I have no idea if the chefs have ever tried after preparing the dish. Dal makhani doesnt have a single kidney bean in it and doesn’t taste makhani and fresh at all. If you want to try some great dal makhani go try Mala in Canary Wharf or even Taste of India in East Ham serves awesome dal makhani. And no comments on Chicken coz I am vegetarian but I did tried the gravy a bit and yes not surprisingly its so blend. So we got all take away as we can’t finish those foods. And yes how can I not mention to double check your bill before you pay as I ordered a Mango Juice and they brought me a bill with Mango Lassi with price difference ofcourse. Lastly, yes for the ambience if you are looking to have a nice time don't sit by the side of the glass doors as you will be entertained by big fat flies all the time which you cant ignore. Only thing I liked was the service the guys were nice but unfortunately I have to cut the service charge coz I couldn’t cut the dishes prices and my bad I didnt carry any cash to leave a tip. Reading your reply the first thing I would say is please pronounce my name correctly atleast. Always a name starts with a capital letter henceforth my name is ienfa not Lenfa. Fair enough with Dal makhani but than don't say it dal makhani if you dont know the real recipe. You can’t change a classic recipe until u say its fusion. Feeling sorry that rather than excepting the mistake I would hear this.

Had a great meal here the other night. We ordered the chilli squid, lamb jalfrezi, and lamb biriani all were excellent. With some sides, poppadoms and beer it came to £40 which I thought was a fair price.

Such a surprise to find such excellent Indian food so close to the Thames. Ali was exceptional in how he looked after us and the food and service was just as good. If you are in the area seek them out and enjoy.

Great experience for my family and I. I've been going to this spot for a while now and am just now getting around to writing a review. Recently I took my family who was visiting in london to Mango. When we first arrived we were told that the water was out but if we came back they would make sure we had table and good food. We came back and they did everything they said they would do and even gave our kids some cool penguin ice creams. Ali our server was great and we'll definitely be back.

During our weekend in London, we went to this beautiful place that we did not know at all this afternoon and we are so delighted about it. We were on our way to borough market when we passed by the restaurant in the street and it smelt so sood!!! Therefore, we did not ate at Borough Market and decided to go back to this street and to eat there. Best decision of our weekend! We are from Paris, and this has been the best indian food we have ever tasted in the world. The service was also super great : Ali really toook care of us as we did not know what to order, he gave us perfect advices based on what we told him that we like, he was really nice and attentive to our needs. The service really felt like we are in a luxurious place. The Price is not expensive for a great restaurant in London. When I will remember about my trip to London, I will forever think about this restaurant. I really want to thank Ali again and his colleagues, I hope to visit again soon

Very nice Indian restaurant. It makes a familiar but at the same time professional impression. The service was excellent. The food itself was also very tasty and despite the fact that we had the daily menu, it was very plentiful. Overall, probably the best restaurant we visited during our stay in London, also because of the atmosphere. It was also very inexpensive for Londoners.

Mango is a small and cozy Indian restaurant in borough market. The service was great and the atmosphere was pleasant. Food was nice and served quickly. Prices are average from ~£14 for a main meal.

Had the set lunch: Chicken Tikka starter, Buttered Chicken with rice and mixed veg in a very flavourful sauce. All the food was cooked fresh, full of flavour and the chicken was juicy. My sister had the lamb and it was soooo tender. The service was great, fast and friendly. I would come back again and 100% recommend!

Wow. If you haven’t tried this little gem, you’re missing out. Wandered in last Friday afternoon for a late lunch. A great set menu which is great value but the ala carte gave so much choice. Staff are attentive and a special mention to Ali, who took great care of us. So good we came back today. Even better!

Just ordered off the set lunch menu £11.99 starter and main and it was beautiful, full of flavour and very filling, beautiful service by Ali he treated us like royalty! Definitely will be back!

We have traveled from the States to the UK for holiday. We were hoping to get a reservation at another spot but they were fully booked. We found this restaurant as we were searching and were not disappointed. The service, the food, the quality exceeded expectations. We placed a reservation as the restaurant is quite small but we’re quickly seated upon arrival. We ordered various appetizers, mains, and wine and thought the services was some of the best during our time in the UK and the food was absolutely outstanding and rivaled a local Michelin Star restaurant in our opinion. This is some of the best Indian food in London and the quality for the price is unmatched. Mango should be a spot to visit on anyone’s list and I would take a 10 hour flight to eat this again.

WARNING: AVOID THIS PLACE TO SAVE YOURSELF THE AGONY Restaurants like this are a catastrophe for hospitality and make us Brits look rude and crass. First off, they refused our reservation over the phone, but when we arrived, the place was empty, and they were happy to take walk-ins. Absolutely baffling! I don’t get the hype at all. I went with some friends, and the waiter was yelling into his phone. The food? Absolutely dreadful, and now I’ve got a dodgy tummy. The glowing reviews must be fake. The ambience is awful, the seating is like sitting on rocks, and to top it all off, we saw the waiter scratching his sweaty forehead and bum before serving us. Utterly revolting. This place is a complete joke, with inhospitable staff and terrible food. It’s a disservice to the restaurant industry. Rather goto the market and get something better ... we regret our time here.

Have been here twice for lunch in the last month and I would highly recommend the lunchtime set menu. It is £11.95 or £10.95 for the Vegetarian option. Starter and a main with a sharing bowl of curried veg. We had a nice bottle of wine and the bill comes in for three people each time at sub £80. (They are also happy to make each main course hotter as required). In this area that is outstanding. Very pleasant staff and they are corteous and efficient and food is served promptly. Greta location and you can pop in after 1400 so a really good find. A definite 'return to' place.

Great experience for a Sunday lunch. We have the spinach onion bhajias and hariyali chicken which were both delicious (edge to the chicken). Then took the waiters (maybe managers) advice on the Bungalow Chicken and Goan fish. What fantastic suggestions!

Had an excellent 3 course meal with a mate at a quiet lunchtime before valentine's evening service began. I had the kebab selection (image is after I exchanged lamb chop with mates onion bhaji) and then I had the highway chicken murgh, damn that nice sauce. Would come back again

We had a lovely dinner at Mango Indian. The restaurant is lovely and cozy. Our hotel made the reservation and shared this is the best Indian food in the area. While it wasn’t the best Indian food I’ve ever had, everything we ordered was delicious. We started with the Papadums and the Aloo. We had the Korma Chicken and the Shani Paneer as entrees along with rice, naan and the potato/spinach appetizer. The servers were lovely and took great care of us. Worth a try if you are at London Bankside!

I wasn’t aware of this little gem, but now I am I’ll certainly be back. Best curry of the year, and I know it’s January, but I’m sure I’ll be saying this still in December. Definitely worth a visit for a working lunch, or as I overheard you’ll may nee to book in advance for dinner. We all really enjoyed the food, 2 x meat + 2 x Vegan at our table. Rare that we all come out happy. It’s only a 4 star for atmosphere because it was quiet, but that was actually lovely too. A big thank you to the entire Mango Indian team, and we’ll be back soon. 👏🏻👏🏻

The lassi, naan and curry are all so good! But be careful if you cant handle spice well, butter chicken is a safe spot.

Booked a table for 2 30 minutes before we arrived on a Tuesday night, defo recomend booking in advance as to the restaurant fills up quickly.The atmosphere and staff were very pleasant, food was really good, nice spice and delicate flavours.

We ordered two chicken biriyani as the main dish. It doesn’t taste like “delicious “. For me , it was 6.5/10. Apart from the food, the waiter was so unfriendly, he didn’t even greet us with a smile. And this left a really bad impression of the restaurant in our mind. I will NOT recommend this place to anyone. As we were just two , we got a really small space that actually was not enough for us. The seat was near the glass window and it felt so sophisticated and uncomfortable. When we sat there, the thought popped in our mind was just to finish the food quickly, pay and leave the place. The waiters were staring at us frequently and felt strange. And this place is NOT the best to get Indian food in London. We do have lot more other options.

Had a wonderful birthday meal for my brother. The team couldn't do enough to accommodate. We had my 7 year old nephew in tow and the team couldn't have been better with him the whole time. Can't recommend more for the food quality, best Indian me and partner have had in London, an overall wonderful experience every time we go.

Great Indian restaurant in heart of London. It’s hard to find a spot during walk in, better to go by appointment. Food is rich in flavours. Service is quick and good portion size. Not very expensive. Loved the complementary treat they gave to our little one.

Achei a comida e o serviço do restaurante medianos. Pedi um prato vegetariano e não vieram os vegetais descritos no menu. O arroz estava muito seco. O garçom disse que cada prato era individual, no entanto vieram pratos bem servidos e sobrou bastante comida. Enfim, percebi má vontade no atendimento.

We had family from India and we took them for dinner I had seen there instagram post about lunch offer and wanted to go there. We ordered chicken tikka, daal makhni, paneer and chicken gravy. The food was mind-blowing. I couldn't differentiate between chicken and Paneer. It was so soft and succulent. Bread basket was also very tasty. Variety of naans. Dessert we ordered kulfi and panacotta..yummy One more point for giving papads and chutney when we seated. It is such a good gesture. Staff was so welcoming and they served with great warmth. I am going to come over again n again . Food was also not that expensive. It was 30 to 40 pounds pp.

The restaurant was recently renovated. Good food, service and ambience. One mistake was they added some other food item which we didn't have, so check you bill carefully before paying!

Bestes indisches Restaurant in der Umgebung. Die Fischplatte war mega lecker, richtig gewürzt und alles schmeckte frisch. Service war auch super freundlich, Preise sind ein wenig höher als bei anderen indischen Lokalen in der Umgebung, aber es lohnt sich.
