It was very nice first time in London and a warm, comfort meal was great. A little expensive but still nice recommend if you are in the area

We just had dinner at Mogul with the whole family and are absolutely thrilled. We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home in the authentic restaurant. The waiter patiently explained the dishes to us. I couldn't decide between two dishes, so the waiter suggested that the chef make a creation from these two dishes. It was absolutely delicious!!! All dishes, whether with meat or the vegetarian options, were just great. We are all happy and if we were from London we would definitely visit regularly. 😊

Just an overall great experience. The table was filled in no time with awesome food. I especially liked the mogul special nan. Service was awesome as well. I had a lot of questions about the things I tasted and the manager didn't hesitate to explain everything.

Excellent food, great service and great atmosphere.

We had a delicious Indian meal here tonight. The restaurant also serves specialties from Bangladesh and Nepal. The spiciness is often adjusted to European tastes, but you can also request spicy food if you prefer. Huge selection and patient guidance in choosing dishes. Only non-alcoholic drinks are served, but you can bring your own alcoholic drink of your preference. The filled naan bread is highly recommended.

Very nice people and the food was very good but quite spicy which I don’t like spice much. However, I finished my creamy butter chicken with rice and enjoyed every bite of it.

Giving views as an indian tourist- at best this is an average indian food for the price u r paying. Ordered Dal tarka, bombay aloo and jeera rice. Bombay aloo basically has no taste, dal has no tarka it is plain and rice has lumps in it..I means whats the point of even selling this kind of food. This is not good. Wouldnt suggest nor try next time.

We order from Mogul very frequently, portion sized are definitely enough for two meals and are absolutely delicious. Can't recommend their butter chicken and balti paneer tikka masala enough. Staff is always very friendly and helpful.

I have never tasted such awful food!!! We ordered take out for the family, and none of us ate more than two spoon fools. Terrible terrible avoid

Had ordered food delivery. Aloo parathas were ok, as were the garlic naan but the veg naan was just without any stuffing. The chicken madras curry was supposed to be spicy but was just another ordinary sweet-ish tomato cream curry without any distinctive taste. Felt like boiled chicken had been added to a helping of generic curry. The vegetable curry was just huge chunks of vegetables in again a generic tomato creamy curry. Overall a just satisfactory sort of meal. Not bad but nothing to write home about or to recommend to a friend. 😞

Garlic nan had no garlic on it. The meal came with no rice but was not mentioned in the menu.

This is an authentic Indian restaurant in the neighbourhood. Visited there with two friends for the second time. I had their butter masala with cheese nan, and they were very tasty. Just wish that they could make it spicier. The meal costed us £60 in total including tips.

Very disappointed! Restaurant was very cold, lacked atmosphere and the waiter looked like he’d rather be somewhere else! Food tasted ok at the time but not great. Wouldn’t go again!

Small little Indian restaurant tucked away in a quiet pocket in Rotherhithe area. Good food with excellent and prompt service. Highly recommend if you are here for short stay.

Ordered from here for the first time and could not recommend it enough - food was perfect, came piping hot and was delivered quickly and by an incredibly friendly member of the team. Will definitely be ordering from here again!

OK, I paid a £30 cab to get to the Mogul from central London, and it was definitely worth it! Try the Tandori Lamb for starters and the butter chicken for mains - it is unbelievably good! They do not serve alcohol, but you can go to the newsagent next door and get some beers or some wine. Highly recommend it and not too devastating for the wallet.

Love this place, great food, nice staff and not too expensive. Go for the Tandori Lamb Chops for starter followed by the Butter Masala, and you will not be disappointed!

More a 4.5 than a 5, probably. Service was good. Staff v. friendly and attentive. Nice resturant. Fairly standard Indian restaurant but perfectly clean and tidy. Plenty of tables free on the night. They do not serve alcohol here, which was a shame and felt soft drinks were little overpriced. The food wasn't the best Indian I've ever had but it wasn't bad at all. Far from it. I've happily come back again when next in the area. Serving sizes, as someone had an issue with it before in the reviews, wasn't a problem here. Probably a little more more, for me, than I would expect. I actually had food left over - which NEVER happens! Dined in and ordered: Poppadoms Onion Bhaji Paneer Shashlik Bhuna Egg Fried Rice Peshwari Naan

Took close to 2 and a half hours to arrive and was cold. This was from a predicted time of 40-55mins! Straight after ordering this went up to 1 and a half hours. This restaurant really needs to change the predicted times and stop suckering people in. I would never of had ordered knowing it was going to be anywhere near that long and they blatantly must have known they couldn’t fulfil the order in the original stated time. To make things worst when I tried to cancel, it said the food was already being prepared and I would be charged for cancelling. So my food was potentially sitting around for over 2 hours which is over the recommended time before refrigerating. The whole order has gone in the bin and I’m now starving!

I ordered at 7:45 it arrived at 10:15. Not only was it late, they lied about it, and forgot my onion bhaji. Never coming here again, especially as they did not offer me a refund.

Do not even deserve 1 star!!! We spent £50 on just eat and placed an order at 8pm and at 9.20 they decide to cancel the order !!!! Decided to wait 1 hour 20 mins before cancelling the order and when we called they said they had not even made the food and they only had 1 delivery driver! Why take orders then?!

My daughter and. I visited this restaurant in September. The food was excellent and good value for money. The atmosphere was pleasant and it was not noisy. Staff were pleasant.

Chicken Jalfrezi is very delicately flavoured and mixed grill was beautifully cooked. Most tandoori places end up blackening the food quiet a lot which I don’t like to eat. Mogul though cooks it perfectly with only the tiniest black points. Delicious.

Delicious, fresh vindaloo, naan bread, and rice. Nice decor. Quality Street chocolates with the bill were an appreciated touch. Prices very reasonable.

Bit pricey but food was really nice, no complaints. Ordered 3 different dishes, plus sides, all excellent.

We were five people and had a lot of different dishes, from mild to very strong, and we were all very satisfied. The place was nice and call this sunday evening and the service good.

Staying at the DoubleTree Hotel nearby and was looking for something better than hotel food. Well, this place is a real find, the owner is a lovely, chatty man and the food was fantastic. I was absolutely stuff and they even packaged up my left overs to take back with me. Highly recommend here, a fantastic Indian meal

The food was too sweet and felt really cheap for the price. I bought a £15 meal which only had prawns in a sauce in a container, I assumed there would be some rice/vegetables coming with it but nothing. The description on the app was not clear that rice was not included. Absolutely overpriced and disappointing

Unfortunately the food was tasteless. We ordered prawn puri which was particularly bland, chicken balti, chicken madras and sag paneer. Disappointing overall.

We went to this place yesterday. We ordered samosas as a started. Two little vegetable samosas came @ £3.95 price tag🥴We also ordered Lamb biryani, it came in a very little bowl🤭😅also ordered Lamb tikka masala, it came in a very little metal bowl, u can see in the photos I attached😱 the meat was cooked very well but I noticed that the tikka source was added to the meat at the time of the order then it was only a bit warmed up before serving, that's why the meat wasn't infused with the tikka masala sauce and the food wasn't hot enough. I also ordered a glass of mango lassi, it was one of the worst I have ever tried. I have a feeling, the mango pieces were frozen and the lassi had little ice pieces in it. 😕I paid over £28 for a little amount of food.😱 Unfortunately I will not visit them again unless they improve the amount of food and the quality they are providing to their customers.🥺👀 Sadly it is a no from me.

Absolutely dreadful!!! Do not order from this place and I will never place may order here ever again. I specifically placed a food order with a note to ask to make food mild with no nuts, as my partner is intolerant. The food was super spicy, even me with no food intolerance, felt uncomfortable and had stomach crumps. When we called to tell what the issue was, the manager hang up on us and then when we tried to call him back he called us idiots refusing to make a refund at to complain to just eat. For your on safety, if you cannot have spicy food or have any allergies just do not order from them... The manager refused even to apologise.

After calling to complain about the food, which didn’t meet our allergen requirements, the manager called me an “idiot” on the phone. After then travelling to the restaurant ten minutes later, the “manager” had allegedly already left. The man “in charge” then threatened to call the police, before reluctantly agreeing to provide a refund. Shocking service, abysmal food, no care of allergies or intolerances. Avoid like the plague.

I went to Mogul indian restaurant last Thursday for dinner with my two friends. We had an amazing time there. The food was delicious, and the portions very reasonable. Best relation price-quality, I had the best chicken tikka massala ever!! The service was excellent, quite atmosphere, a lovely familiar place. I will definitely repeat!!!

At best I would say very tasteless, and very rude staff. Had the cheek to charge me for tap water.

As i entered the restaurant I was met with a person who on finding out we were the reservation complained about the time we arrived stating it should take 10 minutes from the hotel. We had a frail person with us who struggles to walk, so we were later than expected. However in a restaurant with only one other table occupied I do not see the need to greet a group of people with that attitude. Considering no other diners arrived the entire evening we were there I consider it rude and alienating to tell someone off. I have read that other people find the food satisfactory, so either they have very different expectations or we were treated to the blandest food ever encountered in an Indian restaurant as a special treat. the menu is varied and balti was ordered. Balti comes with a side of vegetable curry, this came with a dish of beige and two pieces of potato. The starters were pleasant the meat tender but there was no flavour in the mains. one good item being a coconut nan. whoever the guy is who greeted me he does no favours as far as ambience or hospitality. perhaps he feels it is acceptable to be snarky because we were staying at the nearest hotel and therefore transient. But it is no wonder the place is empty. Gordon Ramsey Please come and save this business or maybe we could club together and buy them some spices and take the rude guy for a personality transplant. I asked for some chillies as the blandness was making the food inedible. I received them, served with a sneer. That we paid the bill was charitable , and I am still left with an overall negative experience. I did ask for doggy bags and its doggies that got the leftovers with no fear of an upset stomach due to the lack of spice ,flavour etc Hence this review. So like the warning signal on the ship in Alien I am drawing your attention to this review simply to say stay away if you expect flavour in your food and a pleasant attitude from the servers. The one star is for the pickles and the older man who served us.

The starter was half decent but everything else was really horrible. Keema rice had no keema just bits of Sheek kebab and same with the curry had bits of sheek kebab instead of actual keema was really disappointing. On the up side delivery driver was lovely.

Always a great meal at Mogul (& BYOB)! Friendly employees and attentive service. Tonight we had butter masala and chicken shaslick bhuna as recommended and didn’t disappoint! Will definitely be back soon!

New local favourite possibly. Was left down by an alternative restaurant and ordered from here last minute. Turned up early and was excellent.

Sauce was great but prawns are tiny, not king prawns. Onion bhajis are good and crispy.

Small and compact but the food was cooked fresh to order and the staff were on hand to help enjoy our visit. No alcohol for sale but management were happy for us to bring in our own.

First time order from here delivery was quick food was lovely lots of it would order again
