Great food, thick and tasty curries. Lots of meat.

Food was very delicious, staff was friendly but the restaurant is often empty, leaving the servers looking bored.

Lovely food. If you are eating as a business, please be warned that the restaurant is unable to produce a valid VAT receipt. Highly disappointing. PS. Adding the restaurant's VAT number on the receipt is NOT enough to make it a valid VAT receipt. A valid receipt must also contain the amount of VAT that has been charged and at what rate (eg. 20%). So, despite their claim in their response, the restaurant is NOT producing valid VAT receipts.

Avoid! What a mistake it was walking 10 mins to and fro from my place of interest just to satisfy my palate for indian food Totally shocked that a 4.3 rated restaurant can serve such undercooked/ill prepared food and a substandard service ...

The naan was top tier. My partner and I LOVE the Tikka Masala and the Butter Chicken. The service was prompt and very nice. They also give plenty of chicken with your entree. Will definitely be coming back!

An interesting menu offering dishes not found in other restaurants. Generous portions of well-spiced dishes and reasonably priced. An excellent dining experience and thoroughly recommended.

This is my favourite Indian restaurant out of London and have probably been here at least about 6 times. Extremely friendly staff and it's in a brilliant location, right between London Bridge and Waterloo, with a pub almost next door! You couldn't ask for more. Give it a go when you're next in the area.

Recently discovered this place and couldn’t be happier. Great food, friendly staff and well situated near London Bridge in an area that’s booming with development with lots of nearby craft beer pubs and restaurants. Food was amazing, as was the service and I can’t wait to go back.

Ahmed and the rest of the staff were so friendly. I love that I’m able to order just half portion of the tandoori since it was 10pm and I just wanted a little something to eat. I ended up enjoying the end of my evening from the friendly staff and good food.

Lamb dish was great, saag paneer lacked flavour

The food was delicious! I tried the Chicken Tika Masala, very tasty and not spicy. I also recommend the Naan with garlic and the meat Samosa. The attendant Ahmed was very helpful and helped us with all the directions! I recommend it in London!

Est India is one of my favourite places for great curry. It is a welcoming place, the staff are really friendly and attentive. I like the layout of the restaurant, it has a fresh vibe. Most importantly, the food is first-class. Fairly typical Anglo-Indian fare but done in an up to date manner. The curries are well balanced on textures and nice to see good quality vegetables used throughout. Spicing is delicate and the flavours stand-out. The house mixed starters and the breads were very tasty. Wine is decent and a few nice bottles on the menu. Best curry in London Bridge area

Brilliant! The food was outstanding, ne of the best curries I've had in a long while. Definitely recommend the Railway lamb curry- the lamb literally melts in the mouth! Great service and relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely return on our next stay in London 😃

Hussain was amazing, very helpful, the service was great, and the food was incredible. We had a lovely bottle of white wine and Hussain brought birthday treats for our celebration. Highly recommended!

Great food and friendly atmosphere!

Absolutely delicious meal in the center of London for a reasonable price. Service was fast and very kind, even charged my phone. Our server’s name was Muhammad so props to him. Only downside was that it was a little too loud inside.

Have had takeaways from Est India before but dining in was next level. We had Onion Bhaji, Keema Pav, Bhutani Curry and it was absolutely delicious. Staff extremely friendly and knew the menu well. We were served by Ahmed, who was very friendly and polite. A credit to this restaurant. A very enjoyable experience with authentic flavours, good sized portions and excellent value for money. Highly, highly recommended. Will return very soon.

Est. India has a contemporary casual vibe, with delicious food that will not disappoint! I brought a group of high school boys for dinner one night during our sports tour of greater London and the staff were extremely hospitable, friendly, and adaptive. I spoke with the manager/owner in advance to negotiate meals and price per person, and they exceeded my expectations! Est. India is worth it for a casual lunch or a formal dinner. They can do it all, big group or small. Thank you!

Without doubt the best Indian restaurant for miles around and fantastic value. So many excellent dishes, but the lamb shank and the tikka salmon are both exceptional. Street food starters are great too

Disappointed, disgusting food, disgusting service, never waste money and also no receipt

The location, the food and the service were all on point. I loved how courteous the staff was always checking in and recommending things I could try, especially Mr. Hussain. I came in for a snack and ended up spending 3 hours here. The food is adapted to cater to the palate of the locals but still keeps the authenticity alive. I came in on a beautiful summer evening and loved dining in the outdoor seating.

Great food !! Friendly and courteous service !! I was very glad to find this gem of a restaurant when I was looking for somewhere to eat near London Bridge. I ordered a chicken battered and fried street food style ("Chicken 65" is what they call it on the menu) with a chilli & cheese naan. The chicken was nice and crispy on the outside and tender and full of flavour on the inside. It came with a sauce which had a nice fruity tang to it which complemented the spiciness of the chicken. And the naan was a perfect accompaniment, warm and subtly flavoured with cheese and chilli. This meal hit the spot !! My friend had a butter chicken and peshwari nan which she really enjoyed. The service was great as well. Thanks Est. India team. I will see you again when I next pass by London Bridge :-)

First time I ate Indian and it won't be the last time. A most tender leg of lamb and the spices that combine perfectly, truly a delight. And the service is as good as the dish. I highly recommend.

Visited Est.India on Union St. in Southwark & thoroughly enjoyed it: kebab platter shared to start, Lucknow chicken korma with sag paneer, bindi dopiaza & pilau rice. Kingfisher beer & cider - £73 inc service. Nicely cooked, no ghee floating around, well-balanced spice and attentive service. Will happily again!

Been for an early dinner about four times over the last month or so. The food is stunning. Highly recommend the two different chicken tikkas, the lamb chops and the salmon tikka. My colleague said his railway lamb curry was delicious. We were warmly welcomed back each time, which was a lovely touch.

An excellent night with the best curries!

Stumbled upon this restaurant when looking for somewhere with my friend. I had the vegan dosa, which is a real step out of my comfort zone however my friend recommended it (he had it too). Wow! It was delicious. Service was professional and friendly. Poppadoms and pickle tray obviously fresh and very tasty. One star lost for the long and awkward wait to be seated, but I can't fault the food. I'll be back.

Unbelievable curry, top place, best curry in the area

Well we came for a curry but we got so much more… We came. We saw. We Cobra’d. It was a pleasure to enjoy the last three King Cobras with three of my best mates. Fantastic curry, fantastic beer, fantastic service.

Shame of an Indian restaurant. I ordered the Kerela Chicken curry which came in a tomato puree based sauce. When I asked the chef about the authenticity of the dish the chef was very clear that this is not an authentic Indian restaurant. Yet they call themselves Indian Restaurant

Goan prawn curry was excellent. Salmon tikka not bad.

I look forward to coming here every time I am in London for work! The food is incredible, tonight I had the Paneer curry with onions and peppers, mushroom rice and potatoes and my colleague had the tikka Salmon and he was raving about it!!

I came here in August with a friend that has been living in London for many years. The place is very nice and welcoming and the staff as well. Food was remarkable and I loved it, I love Indian food in general and here you can find some great dishes. If you are around don’t hesitate to come!

We had dinner at the East india Restaurant in the Union Street, very near to London Bridge. Near to Southwark Street. The food was very Tasty. We had few very tasty dishes, Bhutany Lamb, it's very tasty dishes. LAMB Birayni also very delicious. Lamb Chops, Taka Dall, Garlic nan, All food are very delicious. Thanks. All the Best.

The worst food , not even reach my expectations .

I believe since we were visiting from Seattle, I felt the lack of warmth ness from the staff, for example with a toddler it’s hard to fit in a table for two but we still cramped up with all our dishes. We usually order on our travels daal for our toddler which is mild but the hotel suggested the dal is premade and couldn’t adjust the spiciness so that was little odd to us since we do request this at most Indian restaurants in EU and US and are always accommodated. Naans were little rough and though the chicken was good. I would also like to reiterate there does seems to be difference in the way they treat South Asians customers as compared to people from other ethnicities as evident by the reviews and my experience, it’s a shame really. Edited to add: we had reservation for 4 adults and 2 toddlers, one toddler got sick and couldn’t come which we told on arrival, so it yet again proves my point they aren’t empathetic at all.

Wir waren zum 3. Mal dort. Beim 3. Mal war der Kellner Ali total nett, beim 3. Mal war er wohl schlecht gelaunt. Das Essen ist sehr gut, allerdings höllisch scharf! Nach unserer Erfahrung beim 2. Mal haben wir beim 3. Mal darum gebeten, dass alles nicht scharf ist, was uns zugesichert wurde. Leider war es trotzdem unfassbar scharf, der Kelllner lachte nur. Die eine, die kein scharf von uns verträgt, hat nachts sogar Durfall bekommen. Schade um das gute Essen. Es waren wirklich sehr unterschiedliche Erfahrungen hier. Aber das mit der Schärfe geht nicht, wenn man es schon vorher sagt. Normalerweise hätten wir es zurückgehen lassen müssen... Nachtrag: Ich habe nun Bilder zugefügt. Nein, wir haben es nicht verwechselt:-) es war bereits bei der Nachfrage wenig glaubwürdig, dass er Ali heiß, weil er erst gezögert hatte..

Das Curry und Naanbrot war unglaublich lecker, es wurde schön zubereitet. Besonders gut fand ich, dass ich statt dem Hühnchen auch Gemüse wählen konnte. Der Kellner war sehr zuvorkommend und interessiert, da wir als Touristen in London unterwegs waren. Wir haben uns total wohlgefühlt und würden sofort wieder herkommen!
