Literally the best place in elephant and castle for food. It’s incredible prices for insane delicious food. I go here nearly every night for dinner it’s a complete must. The service is amazing and always so polite and lovely couldn’t be a better environment!

Back after two years, it’s good to confirm that the eat in food is also great value, very tasty and with generous portions.

Well where do I start. These guys are real Gems. I pray Allah blesses them even more. Most humble and generous brothers I have ever come across. Serving with a smile and great with the service. Food was prepared fresh and one of the best tasting naans I have had. One of the best restaurants I have eaten from in a while. Will be eating from here often. Keep up the good work guys. Amazing

After a series of events we ended up early evening at a post marriage party in the wonderful characterful Pullens Centre in Crampton Street and by 9ish everybody needed food so we set off on a trail round the neighbourhood in search of a stack of pizzas or Indian veggie food. After a bit of a dispiriting trek we stumbled upon this place just short of the railway bridge and roundabout and after a short negotiation they agreed to provide us with two large platters of bhajis and pakora for £80. We returned to the party but true to their word within 30 minutes , having jogged down the streets two friendly guys arrived with piping hot snacks and keep the party pot boiling. Great service. Perhaps we should have gone earlier and bought three times as much!

When you have had your meal do have their Chai . Now the food ,it is not freshly made but on display so you can make out what is in stock ( at least they are genuine about that ) what is not on display is not served simple. We had daal , chicken dish ,pulao and naan. Naans were huge in size and very crisp one of the best i had. It is not a fancy or very clean place but the staff was pleasant , saw a lot of people get take away . Oh yes they are open till 2 in the night,

Terrible cusotmer Service, charged £10 for delivery for two items, didn't even send one item. Refused to redeliver, paid £25 for just chicken curry!!! Very bad Customer Service, watchout.

The £4 lunch deal for any curry (meat or veg) with rice and fresh naan from a proper tandoor oven is great value. The curry was really tasty and he let us taste the sauce before to make sure we liked it. Big range of options and also tandoori and tikka meats.

My friend and I went here during our stay in London. The food was really good (we ended up going back for take away two more times on our trip). The staff was friendly and helpful.

The food is fresh, delicious and satisfying - ready-made sauces that are prepared throughout the day are spiced up and warmed up to order on the stove in front of you. Fresh naan bread is baked to order, too. The staff are friendly and the service is fast. The interior is quite cheap and cheerful, and could do with a face lift, but this is more of a place for takeaways than eating in.

This is a very good place for indian food. taste was awesome and at decent price. staff was very good.

Visited here last night. The food was excellent. Staff friendly. Cheap no frills restaurant but we had an excellent meal.

I would highly recommend the food from Chatkhara. The setup is very simple, you can see what you're ordering, and the staff were really friendly in helping us choose. Between two of us, we ordered far more food that we could eat (two naans always seems so right at the time) for £11, and it was delicious.

We took some food to take away. The food is better than the place above all in couple. The man helped us to choose because we did not well know Indian food. There is a huge variety of choice. You can choose different meals and he cooks it for you in a wok with fresh coriander. Samosas are also excellent. A very good Indian and rather cheap ! I recommend it !

Hemos comido aquí unas cuantas veces ... deliciosos y razonables precios. El almuerzo especial de 3,95 libras es decente. No muy lejos de metro Elephant & Castle y del centro comercial. Pruébalo si estás en la zona. Restaurante podría hacer con un lavado de cara y buena limpieza creo!

Hemos estado comprar comida para llevar de Chatkarra durante los 8 últimos años. La comida ha sido estupenda, la calidad consistente. Me encanta su mezcla de afganos, comida india y pakistaní. kebab y freesh de Chapli naan es mi favorito.

The best Indian food you can ever get along with Pakistani dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and staff were really friendly .I would recommend to everyone so that such joints be popularised where good food is served with a smile.

Waste of money and time, was charged far more then what we have had, when asked for reciept, price fell down thoug they charged more then double for the things which were not in menu. Spoiled our whole journey

Arrived here last Tuesday with a friend, who had raved about it. Wow, he certainly wasn't wrong - the food was amazing!It's an Inidan/Pakistani cuisine take away/restaurant venue - looking more like a fast food joint, but don't let that stop you taking one of the tables for a sit down meal.The menu is extensive, but be aware they arent licensed to sell alcohol, so make your own arrangements. I had the Chicken Jalfrezi and it was superbly spicy and a perfect portion size. The Sag Aloo on the side was equally good and I should know, as I always order Sag Aloo whenever I go to one of these restaurants.The staff were very friendly and if you can overlook the rather tired decor inside, you can see that this place is a rough diamond. It was also extremely good value, with our extensive meal for two only coming to £16!!I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this place and I if you are on the way home, then stop off at Elephant & Castle tube, as it's only a 3 minute walk from the exit.
