The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Food was very nice but wouldn’t expect you to charge me £5 for a pot of Mango Chutney after first serving me one with a long black head hair in it? Pretty disgusting but apparently not your fault because nobody who works there has long hair… Poor service and response to my obvious disgust at this which is a shame as I would’ve liked to have returned in the future. Hopefully you can take this feedback constructively for how you treat future customers.

This is the best Indian food in the area. Nowhere else compares. The restaurant is clean. The staff are attentive and the food is excellent. They have recently won an award which demonstrates just how good it is.

Food was very good, but kept waiting for nearly two hours for food, which we had to ask for in the end. Two sides turned up after we had almost finished and a curry sauce never materialised. Great shame, as the food was lovely but the communication was dire. The manager brought us free drinks after the meal to apologise, but I have to say the customer service was very poor. A simple explanation of any issues would have helped but nothing was explained! Great shame.

Sent Pepsi instead of Coke (Pepsi has sweeteners in it now so it tastes like metal) and put way too much fennel in the peshwari naan so it tastes like like I've got a mouth full of aniseed balls. Korma was good.

Balti House with no drinks licence charging inflated prices for tiny portions and with slow service…..a pity because this place used to be very good. Not now though.

We go to the Moonlight quite often and love all the staff there. Last night my father in law and 30 of his friends and family celebrated his 80th birthday. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was, as always, outstanding and the staff were attentive and courteous. Really made it a very memorable evening xxx

Our 1st choice of Indian takeaway. In our opinion, best in the Whitstable/Herne Bay area. Plenty of choices and always very good. Delivery always on the time they say or before and good value for money.

Food was good but extremely poor service. Only one girl is doing service and she also has an attitude. Food is on table and the failed to provide Naan bread. All our food got cold. I have added photo to prove it. Food in plates but no naans to eat with.

I found that the Chicken Tikka Masala was very sweet with sugar and coconut; not what I expected for a main course. Staff were very pleasant.

So I'm not one to really leave reviews but this is a must I asked for a chicken balti slightly hot it's came so hot I was crying trying to eat it. I returned to the shop with my food and I wanted a curry not so hot I've ate vindaloo and shall but this was something else so as I stood in the shop waiting for my next food to be prepared I pulled a hair from my mouth that was half way down my throat for the last 10 minutes of driving to the shop and it was 150mm long grey hair, it was Identical to the owners beard I no longer use this shop and will never do this will haunt me for the rest of my life

I had a great time! I was really impressed by how well the food balanced the spices. Overall, it was delicious and fantastic, and I can't wait to dine here again! 😊

We celebrated our engagement here, and had fantastic food. It is BYOB so brought our favourite wine. Great vegetarian options.

This restaurant has an extensive menu with a lot of information provided for the dishes. The staff are pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive. Prices are very reasonable and you are made to feel valued and unrushed.

We have been coming here for a long time whilst pregnant to now my toddler sitting in a chair having dinner. The staff are amazing and always friendly. the food is always on time and tasty. the restaurant is clean and has the right ambience not too quite not too loud. perfect restaurant any day of the week.
