Stumbled across this hidden gem online , as personally for me there are hardly any places in manchester that meet my food standards. Asha's is the best restaurant to eat. All of the staff are fantastic & exceptional service is to Yogesh. Thank you Yogesh for being very considerate & thoughtful, you are a great member of the team. Thank you to the whole team , the chefs , waiters & front of house - excellent food , excellent atmosphere , everything absolutely excellent !! If i could eat at Asha's everyday i would. Absolutely amazing food and lovely staff - definitely recommend

We visited for a special occasion dinner over the bank holiday period, and the service and food were incredible - thank you so much in particular to Olive, who went above and beyond to make it a memorable evening!

I loved the whole experience the food was amazing, service was excellent and it is a very nice restaurant for family. My mom is a big fan of Respected Asha Bhosale and she loved this place too! Listening to the songs in the background made us feel so happy and proud of the owner. 😍🫡

Absolutely wonderful modern Indian restaurant. We were greeted by the very charming Bradley who kindly took our wet jackets for us with a big welcoming smile. I had the lamb chops which were so tender & so tasty. We were served by the utterly lovely Olive who was very attentive, great sense of humour & very warm & friendly. Superb food & great ambience. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is accessible with hidden lift inside. The food was very tasty, flavoursome and good value for money. When an error occurred with one of our meals Vishnu the manager dealt with it very well and the service was impeccable. The waiting staff were also amazing and attentive.

Been to Asha’s several times over the years and we love it. One of our most favourite restaurants. The food is amazing and the staff very friendly. The restaurant has a nice ambience. Would highly recommend Asha’s Manchester for authentic and excellent quality Indian dishes.

Visited Saturday 2nd March for the first time, was completely blown away. After reading some of the reviews, I was a little wary of what to expect. However, from the warm greeting on arrival, the fantastic service by Yogesh, and the delicious food, nothing could be faulted at all. Other people must have either been unlucky, as I really wouldn't hesitate to recommend Asha's.

The food was superb and we were given excellent vegetarian and vegan food on our table. Given we were a large party, the waiters/waitresses were attentive and managed it well

I was in Manchester with Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus singing at the Manchester Amateur Choral Competition and we decided to all have a meal together afterward. Saroop and his team really pulled out all the stops to make us all feel welcome and dutifully coordinated food and drinks for nearly 50 people with varying dietary needs. Friendly, flexible and accommodating. The pre-bar felt very classy and the food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend

Thank you Saroop and your fantastic team for making us all feel so welcome; a last minute booking to accommodate The Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus of 50 who performed on Sunday evening. The bar was beautiful, set menu was amazing value for money and the food was great! Always a bit apprehensive when it comes to set menus but yours was spot on and extremely tasty! Service was excellent and this is how hospitality should be. Service with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. Don’t ever change. Extremely highly recommended and I’ll personally be back when I come up again! Thank you!

A great experience all round. Lovely, attentive, efficient staff, worked really hard catering for our party of 40 in this smart, ambient restaurant. As for the food, it was all beautifully cooked - my particular favourite was the melt-in-your-mouth Lamb Rogan Josh. Thanks to everyone at Asha’s.

We have been going to Asha’s since it opened and the food has always been lovely .. expensive but we’d always thought well worth the cost. My husband and I went today and it was terrible. The service was slow and not at all attentive but worst of all was the food. Everything we had from the tandoor was overcooked and charred to the point of being inedible and my husband had a chicken Jalfreze which had chicken in the form of strips .. like that out of a frozen packet. Add to this, on arriving back home, I have been quite ill from which I can only assume was from the barely warm and over charred king prawns, though it could have been the tasteless rice with peas. This place has gone massively downhill since it reopened as part of the hotel and as none of the staff came to ask us about our food, I assume they know it too. Completely overpriced and a curry you get better in Rusholme. Will definitely not be returning.

Beautiful food experience . We had a 6 course taster gifted to us but would go back and pay for the standard menu based on what we had the food was exceptional . Cocktails were also brilliant if you like them .

We enjoyed the total experience at Asha’s in Manchester. Beautiful atmosphere. Delicious food: somosas, cheese naan, butter chicken, prawn biryani. Yogesh was the best server. He was very helpful and personal. We highly recommend this restaurant when in Manchester.

It was Ok! We dine out most weekends and this restaurant was one that left us underwhelmed. Service was just about acceptable. Food lacked flavour for the money charged and my wife commented that her sauce tasted as if tomato soup had been used as the base gravy! Lamb dish tasted distinctly like mutton and really didn’t hit the bar.

Very nice place with delicious food. A person called Yogesh served us. He was so nice and served us with a smiling face all the time. He offered my little girl a free dessert and she loved it. We will visit again.

Food was wonderful as usual. What was different this time was meeting Olive (Olivia) who on her third day working at Asha’s was so lovely and personable - she totally made the evening much more enjoyable ! Thank you and good luck for the future...

Great atmosphere and beautiful food. It does have a vibe of finer dining when compared to a regular Indian restaurant which is mainly due to the setting and attentive service.

A decent Indian restaurant near St. Peters Square, which offers many typical curry dishes that you can find in most other indian restaurants. I first visited the restaurant when it was in the Michilin Guide years ago, I tried their Karahi Gosht for a change, as I have tried their Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Jalfrezi and Chicken Korma before, and the curries I have tried are all highly recommended in terms of taste and quality. However I do find their food to be a bit overpriced and lean towards smaller portion size. The Karahi Gosht alone is priced over £20 without including the rice. Same for their samosas in the appetizer section, which are also overpriced at over £10 except for their vegetable samosa, hence I dont really recommend their appetizers unless you are really hungry.

Been here twice now in the last 6 months - the food, the service and hospitality, and the atmosphere have all consistently been amazing. Both times I went, they were for birthday celebrations between instant family, and the Asha’s team really went above and beyond to make sure these days were extremely special. The food: one of the most authentic Indian restaurants in the UK, no doubt. Reminded me of the flavours and tastes of the kind of food I eat at restaurants in India. Not surprised, considering of course this is Asha Bhosle’s restaurant chain! An aray of options for all. My family are all vegetarians and we thoroughly enjoyed all the vegetarian dishes we tried. The atmosphere - classy, fancy, sophistacted all come to mind. Big space/room for many different events, especially taking into account the bar downstairs. The staff - special shoutout to Vishnu. Many apologies to all the other great members of the Team as they were all splendid. Within the most recent visit of mine, Vishnu really took his time to make us feel welcome and at ease. He even gave us a complimentary cheesecake for the birthday we were celebrating. The prices - for exceptional food, service and atmosphere, the prices are incredibly reasonable and fair. Overall, 5/5. Thank you Team, great work! :)

Vishnu was amazing. Great service and host couldn’t fault very attentive and obliging excellent service no fault. Only thing same sauce on 3 of the dishes. Amazing lamb chops.

Starters and mains were top drawer. We were a party of 8 and everything came out hot and well cooked. Everyone in our party commented they would come back soon.

The butter chicken was tender and delicious. Our waiter Yogesh was a fantastic person and a fantastic waiter. The best Indian restaurant in the whole of northern England. Trust the reviews you will not be disappointed. 😀😀🙌🏼

For those who don't know about this restaurant: Asha's restaurant is owned by son of Legendary Indian singer Mrs Asha Bhosale. Food is inspired by her recipes and journeys around the world. I will say that this is not a regular Indian restaurant where you should try butter chicken or tikka masala, rather go for something specialty items. All appetizers are good. If looking for out of the box dish, try "Hare baingan ka bharta". It is vegan dish and you will surely enjoy it. No need to mention that atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly.

Food was amazing. We went with a Virgin Experience voucher for a 6 course tasting menu with wine flight. Everything was delicious 😋 We'll definitely be going again.

Sadly inconsistent service (e.g. mains arrived way too early and drinks took ages to arrive) and the food simply didn’t taste good at all. At this price level not acceptable.

Quite a bit more expensive than a lot of Indian restaurants I've been to,£22.95 for my main course of chicken jalfrezzi but it is more classy than a lot of others, food was great to be honest

My partner and I went there due to the good reviews and unfortunately were very disappointed. Everyone was bland and no salt in anything. The next table complained about the lamb chops and we thought it was a fluke. I had the lamb chop biryani which comes with 2 lamb chops and boiled egg and it came cold and the lamb chop were mostly white fat. When we explained to the staff, they kept asking me to try the other lamb chop. It came with cold biryani, half of an egg without the yold and the lamb chops were not edible. The staff didn't know what to do and I had to ask them to at least reheat the food for me. He picked off the lamb chop with his fingers and put it back to the main biryani dish (we had separate plates to serve ourselves) and I refused to eat the dish when they reheated the dish with the lamb chop which the staff touched with his fingers. We paid £56 for some poppadoms, samosas, one curry, rice and a lemonade. Definitely won't go back there again.

Okay but definitely overpriced. Food was good but disappointing for the cost, would have expected more. The prawn starter was great, the butter chicken sauce was lovely, but the chicken itself didn’t taste great. Staff were good and atmosphere okay.

Now, don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore your resturant and your food especially the main course. Something which bothered me was this very famous dessert which I ordered Last week ‘Rasmalai’. It's creamy, it's sweet, and it's the perfect indulgence after a meal. But there's something amiss, something that's been bothering me... raspberries. Yes, you heard it right, ‘raspberries’ in Rasmalai! I understand the confusion – both words do have 'Ras' in them 😅 but please, let's not mix up our desserts with our fruits. Rasmalai, in all its traditional glory, is a quintessential Indian sweet that deserves to stand tall and proud, without the interference of foreign flavors. And not strawberries tooo please. Plain simple Rasmali is perfect 👌 - we wouldn't want this misstep to tarnish that legacy.

Visited this restaurant many occasions always excellent. Unfortunately not this time … my husband had a fish starter minimal fish and very fatty … I had samosas they were dry cold. Main dishes we asked for very spicy sadly bland not as it used too...

I made a large booking at this restaurant for my birthday. It wasn't until I got in touch with them to make my next payment that they informed me they were cancelling my booking due to temporary closure, leaving me very little time to find a new venue. They then took ages to refund. Their last minute poor communication means they're not the best for booking big occasions.

Really nice place, bar area was really pretty and good selection of drinks. Cosmos were very good. Best thing was the palek paneer, so garlicky and tasty! Good naan bread although a bit small and slightly too burnt. Wish I’d have tried the Lancashire cheese...

Service needs a few tweaks - toast came without any butter, part of the food came without some of the components (croissants came without the bacon and ketchup) breakfast lassi came in a bottle without a glass - none of these are deal breakers but...

People moaning about the prices?? It's some of the most authentic curry you can get over here! Location, interior, service is what you're paying for on top of that too! This was my first time at Asha's and was a recommendation from my partner and it didn't disappoint! The service from the off was very friendly and attentive. As for the food... Just wow! I had the Muscat Gosht and its creamyness combined with the spices was just impeccable. The lamb literally melted in your mouth. For me, this is one of the best Indian meals I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. Thank you for for the experience. We will definitely be back again!

food and atmosphere make the place. staff are unprofessional and have no people skills. Eryn was dealing with everything - we were liaising through email. After telling/confirming with her so many times she still appeared to be unaware of our requirements. Having to repeat myself multiple times was distressing. I would also like to add she was very sly with regards to the cost/total bill. She had agreed we could play our own music in the private dining area however on the day the staff denied this and I had to show them the email. Considering the fact I had booked the private dining and had been liaising with them for some time there wasn’t a single staff member who introduced/approached me and explained how the afternoon would go… we were just left to do things on our own.

The staff were genuinely lovely and appeared to care ( rare these days ) the food was excellent, a smaller choice than a standard Indian restaurant but with great descriptions made us choose outside our norm. Lamb soft without being oily and chicken obviously cooked...
