Great service and Ambiance. As an Indian I can vouch for this place as it's as authentic as it can get it away from home. Service is super friendly and quick. The palak paneer was amazing and OH, do not miss the lassi here! It was heavenly. Everything from start to finish was great. You could argue it's slightly expensive but totally worth it. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a genuine and authentic Indian food. :). Budget about 18-20£ per person (excluding alcohol)

Good location and very close to Qpark parking. Good interior decors and ambience. We tried okra fries and Malabar fish fry for starters -loved both of them, had good flavours, especially chutney came with fish fry. Fish batter had good flavour and more on spicier side. Mains we had Chicken haddi biriyani, Nalli nihari and jeera pulav. Biriyani rice had good flavour and mutton curry was thick with strong flavour of meat. Overall will recommend this place if want to try good Indian food in Manchester area.

The Indian Tiffin Room in Manchester offers an authentic street food experience with simple but delicious dishes. The freshness of the ingredients and the careful preparation ensure a great taste experience, especially when the dishes are served fresh and crispy. The service is very attentive and friendly, and the value for money is excellent. Definitely recommended for anyone who wants to experience authentic Indian street food. The ambience also fits the street food character, large space with many tables.

The menu is a true celebration of Indian cuisine, offering a tantalizing array of dishes that pay homage to the rich culinary heritage of the subcontinent. From classic street food favorites like bhel puri and pani puri to sumptuous curries and biryanis bursting with flavor, there's something to please every palate. One of the highlights of my meal was the tiffin box, a delightful assortment of small plates and snacks that allowed me to sample a variety of flavors and textures in one sitting. Each dish was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. Overall, the Indian Tiffin Room provides a unique and flavorful dining experience, perfect for those seeking authentic Indian cuisine in a vibrant and welcoming setting.

Good ambience, nice vibe and amazing theme. However, the table and chair arrangement is very compact, we had to keep their cutlery aside to make a space for a meal dish. The plate in which food is served is very small to accommodate it on the table. We were just a couple who had dinner but we found space crunch while eating. The food quality and taste was OK (not that great), tbh, I didn't find it authentic like India. With all these experiences, I would give 3 ratings. This can definitely be improved with the way they are handling people and food.

4 of us came here after a theatre matinee. It was packed at 6pm on a Saturday. Emma guided us through the menu (I've started asking for names when I get good service). Had some of her excellent recommendations...and my son has now discovered that he loves ochra fries. All very tasty and happy apart from the butter chicken which didn't have a lot of chicken for £14. Emma was great, as were all the staff who brought us dishes, drinks etc. We'd certainly visit again the next time we're there for a show. Just a bit more chicken next time.

The service was very slow and it took 30 minutes to get the bottle of wine we ordered. The food was below average and we should have just gone to Rusholme because there you are guaranteed a good dinner. I was astonished that the chicken Bhiriani was a piece of chicken coated in oily rice with a couple of pomigranet seeds on top and a couple of ribbons of lettice on the side, this is not the celebration dish you normally receive.

Went here after craving for some Indian food and wanted to try something different than our usual place (Ziya on curry mile). We were sat immediately without a booking which was nice, and had a look through the menus but it took quite a while for anyone to come over, maybe 15-18 mins later, someone does come over and only takes the drinks order, which was just 1 cocktail and some tap water and then wonders off again. We wait an additional 5 minutes maybe and me looking at the server for him to come back. So this is over 20 minutes now. We order, only informed about items that are out of stock when we ask about them, but it’s fine as I was hesitating between 2 anyway. Server is a bit odd, my partner thinks he smelt of beer, and was leaning on to a wall behind him while taking our order. Cocktail arrives and it was extra extra sweet, and I do like my sweets but that was a little over the top. Food arrives, in all the food was good but nothing amazing, starters do seem interesting so maybe we would come back to try some more, and the one that was out of stock :), shame there is no curry madras or tikka masala on the menu Very hard to get anyone’s attention, for more water or another cocktail. Took ages to manage to grab the servers attention for the bill and then the card machine, which was slightly annoying as we wanted to go. Wasn’t the worst but wasn’t the best Would give it another chance

Despite several visits, the food doesn't seem to have the authentic Indian flavours. Very much toned down and altered western version, clearly lacks the original taste. Spices used seem to be pretty much having common MARKET Versions, lacking individuality, The place has been attempted to give a rustic look by putting lot's of "steel versions of tiffins" but fails to bring a relaxing vibe of eating in a restaurant. The restaurant clearly didn't seem to be honestly following what it advertised, in terms of discount between Monday to Wednesday on the meals, until asked specifically and then made the changes. Staff service on the other hand was exemplary. The option of drinks was reasonable. Clearly the place need a revamping, on the food authenticity.

Served with Sambar, Coconut Chutney and other Chutney. Taste wise it was good and fulfilling. Fresh Lime Soda(Sweet) tasted unique but refreshing. Staffs were friendly and repeated asked if food was good and anything needed. I also like the fact that they knew that they should serve Masala Dosa after I completed Samosa Chana Chat so that while I completed one dish one comes hot and fresh to me. If I had to describe this restaurant in one word it would be WOW. Right from the enthusiastic team members, to the ambience and the food, left us speechless. It was my birthday dinner and it had to be special, but I am very skeptical while trying Indian or specifically Bombay style food in the UK because it's quite different from how it should be. But the moment we had the first order Pani Puri, we knew the owners were Indian or would have a Bombay touch or could be south Indian after carefully seeing the menu, and it is true. We tried Pani Puri, Kheema Pao, Chicken Chilly, Malabar Fish Fry, Hakka Noodles and Chicken Haddi Biryani. The only dish that disappointed us was the Hakka Noodles but everything else was 10/10. Will definitely visit again to try the rest of the South Indian dishes. The place is pocket friendly and I mean it. Go and try yourself 😉

We recently had the pleasure of dining at the Indian Tiffin Room, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The hospitality we received was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel right at home. The first thing that caught our attention was the exhaustive menu. It was a culinary adventure in itself, with a wide range of dishes to choose from. We decided to try a variety of items, and we were not disappointed. We started our meal with Tibetan-styled momos, which were packed with flavor, followed by the delicious pav bhaji, and two types of dosas - the Onion Rawa Dosa and the Madurai Masala Dosa. Each dish was a burst of authentic flavors that transported us to the heart of India. However, there was a slight delay with our main courses due to a large order from another family. But what truly stood out was the management's response. They went above and beyond to make amends for the inconvenience. Even though we insisted that it wasn't necessary, they graciously offered us a complimentary dessert as a gesture of goodwill. The staff at Indian Tiffin Room deserves special praise. Their attentiveness and friendliness added to the overall charm of the restaurant. The manager, in particular, was exceptional, ensuring that our dining experience was top-notch. Indian Tiffin Room is undoubtedly the best destination for South Indian cuisine in the city center. The delightful food, outstanding hospitality, and the willingness to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction make this restaurant a must-visit. We left with full hearts and even fuller stomachs, looking forward to our next visit to this culinary gem.

Overall ok experience. A quick example.. chilli chicken should never be sweet or even sweetish. With south indian dishes a sweet chilli sauce is never served in authentic cuisine. Naans were well cooked and fluffy. Jeera rice was dry and not steamed properly. Kids menu is actually not a kids menu w.r.t prices or size or portion. They just copy the most bland flavour dishes from the main menu with no change in price.

The food here is absolutely appalling. I have tried a plethora of food from a wide variety of different places, and I would hope to think that I am an extremely open minded foodie. This was truly disgraceful (coming from a desi person myself. this is my 'reviewer' account so please do not be thrown by the 'Dan' alias). The food was below sub-standard, and unfortunately my partner and I found ourselves wanting to spit out half of the mouthfuls that we regretfully had to experience on our visit to Manchester. The staff were very accommodating which was sort of the bare minimum when you consider how utterly nauseating the dishes were. The samosas were cold, dry and NOT authentic Punjabi style samosas, more like hormonally produced ones out of a plastic packet. The same goes for the starters that quite frankly evoked a glorified cardboard box in taste. My partner had to cancel his main because he was forewarned by the disgrace of our first bites. However I'd like to make one thing clear - this is NOT at the fault of it's chefs, it lies with the owners and those who have put the menu together. Behind the facade of colourful lights and bustling music is merely a restaurant struggling to bring an extremely dull and tasteless menu to life. And the Nihari is too oily. Again, staff were lovely and atmosphere was ok. Just please for the love of God change the food. It is an insult to the continent.

I understand that it was busy but I can't imagine coming there during the weekend if Thursday looked like that.. all of my friends ate everything they ordered while I was waiting for a new dish from the menu (that I was very disappointed in at the end) I really liked Palak Paneer I tried from my friend while waiting though 😅 dish that took around 45 minutes to prepare is on the picture below 🥲

Everything was good. The food, atmosphere, service, prices. Nothing disappointing except for the number of gol gappas in a serving. C’mon man. Atleast make it six for 2 people to share evenly 😂

I've given it not too many stars cause we went there for my husband's birthday to have some really good and authentic Indian cuisine. Unfortunately it ended up being a big disappointment for us. The issues I had with this place were , 1) The dishes are all over priced 2) the reason why I said point no 1 is because, based on the price that they have, the quantity they provide is too less. 3) the most important reason for us to get disappointed was that the food doesn't even taste that great. We've had much much better food from other places, even from indian takeaways that too at a very reasonable price range. So this restaurant was clearly a terrible choice for us. 4) there are very few options to choose from. Besides all this, they do take a hell lot of time to serve you food. Keeping all this aside, this place does provide a good Ambience. If you wanna go on a date with your gf/bf this would be a great option. To summarise this, it's like an okish restaurant for me If you truly are looking for authentic Indian food then this is not the exact place .
