Always friendly and helpful and find a table even when busy great food and variety of soft drinks

A solid 3.5, but there is no ambience and found it to be really pricey. We came in early on a Friday and the place was empty. The heaters were all off and the restaurant was quite cold Inside, we even had to wear our jackets for a while. There is little to no ambience, though the tablets are nicely set, there are makeshift walls or curtains blocking certain areas of the restaurant. The menu is extensive and had a lot of options, veggie and non veggie but it was REALLY pricey for what it was. We got two starters and they were both very small for £5 each, the main courses didn't come with Naan or rice, and each rice portion is super tiny for almost £3.5 . My Indian relatives would be in revolt if they ever saw the little amount of rice for that much. The food was nicely seasoned, though I missed some fresh coriander or lime. The service was extremely friendly and the highlight of the visit but with these prices I would not recommend it. There are many other options out there with a MUCH better value.

Dishes are great. But the only downside is Cash only restaurant.

Reservé una mesa temprano por la noche a mediados de semana y conseguí un stand encantador. Fuimos recibidos por Abs (frente de la casa) que nos atendió muy bien. Tuvimos poppadoms con una selección de chutneys para empezar seguidos de Pollo Balti ligeramente más caliente, Rey Gamba Balti y Rey Gamba Xacuti acompañados con 2 naans de ajo. Todos estaban deliciosos. Como bono, los comensales pueden tomar su propio alcohol. Está ocupado viernes y sábado, así que se recomienda reservar. También hacen servicio para llevar. Volveremos muy pronto!

Mal servicio y actitud del personal. La comida era sosa y fría, queríamos más de una hora y media para ser servido frío slop. Y para colmo, intentaron cobrar de más.

This was our first visit to the Jiyaan with some friends who already eaten there before. The complimentary poppadoms and dips were a nice touch and very fresh. My wife had the vegetable biryani and I had the lamb one and we both agreed that our choices were extremely tasty and beautifully cooked. The whole experience was excellent. We will be back!

We were staying in the Travelodge over the road and as it was chucking it down we decided a quick scamper to Kismet would be sensible. I’m glad we did as we really enjoyed the food and service. We chose king prawn with garlic and chilli, tandoori lamb chop, then meat thali and duck bhuna. All of the food was well presented, tasted great and was very filling. We ended up leaving some as the portion size was a bit much for us.

1st time visiting here and on a recommendation. A warm welcome and very deceptive from the outside as it’s very modern on the inside. Syaani was very friendly and chatty, a shining example of customer service. The food was delicious. I will definitely return soon.

Always enjoy coming here. The team are brilliant, always good to talk to. Food is good, the stuffed Paratha is very good.

Food was the worst I had... if these reviews are real then these people need to get out of knowledge and try something else. Please don’t waste your time and bar earned money in such a place like this. Food was so poor and service was a big fat zero too.

Shirley Kebab House en Birmingham es un lugar impresionante, y está claro desde el momento en que entras que es un favorito local. Firstly the restaurant was freezing. We asked several times if heating could be turned up but were told it was on and they would but nothing improved. I had family travel from out of town to celebrate a birthday (which I notified on my booking) it wasn’t even acknowledged! Several items wrong with order but met with well whatever attitude. Food was good but with all the competition we wouldn’t return.

Rubbish food ,bland and boring,can cook better at home with Indian takeaway secrets book. Inside is dirty and not very clean hence the low hygiene rating. If you want to sit in a proper Indian restaurant try down the Bradford road ,proper food and clean...
