Lovely food. Really enjoyed it. Only fault was the staff were miserable, slow to come over, asked if we wanted poppadoms which we said yes, they were brought over and we then had to ask for drinks. which is a shame otherwise would of given them 5 stars..

Food has got worse rang up to let them know and was a customer of many years and all I got was verbal abuse from them !!! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS HAPPY TAKING MONEY BUT IF YOU COMPLAIN THEY GIVE YOU BAD ATTITUDE

Have frequented this curry house since its opening 20 years or so. Tasty food and good service - never disappointed. Not licensed, but welcome to take your own drinks in. I tend to use at the quieter periods - early evening and non weekend days without booking a table. Ideal for family meals - but recommend that the table is booked.

We went there as a family and ordered food. The manager told us to get out of the restaurant when our 2 year old started crying. He also tried to insult my wife and said all women are stupid. When I tried to stop him , he used bad words in native language. One of the worst experience and rubbish place. If you want to spoil your time then only go to this place. Not recommended as the Manager has mental issues.

I ordered food with delivery. Everything is still super good, the packaging wasn't the best (it leaked a little in the bag) but it's not a big problem. They have quite a few vegetarian choices, too bad the 20% reduction on web orders does not apply to these vegetarian dishes, but only to main dishes containing meat. I recommend

Great restaurant, hidden gem in my opinion. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but great quality food. Spicy food is actually not just boiling hot.

Fantastic night at Ginger Blue, as usual. Use this restaurant regularly and it never fails. Lovely menu, very reasonably priced, service excellent and food always piping hot. It isn’t licensed, which isn’t a problem at all as there’s a brilliant independent off license called Bernie’s next door to buy your alcohol.

Unfortunately if your a woman they act like your invisible even if your paying the bill! Very rude staff. Food is half decent but staff are rude!

Only had take aways. Staff always friendly and helpful. Food always freshly cooked and excellent. I’ve been going since they opened and never gone anyplace else.

Not bad curry house. Decent food, good service and BYOB. Can be a little slow though.

Food requests was for spicy. Ordered tiger prawn curry and tiger prawn biryani and chilli garlic naan. Overall, food was bland catered for people that are new to Indian food. Naan was doughy. However you can take your alcohol and the off licence next door is fantastic. Especially if you like ales.

Had a takeaway delivered last night food was excellent and hot brilliant customer service can't fault it.

First time ordering £27 meal for 2 only one portion of rice and one small chapatti. Food is boiled meat in a sauce. Sorry not impressed at all.

Really enjoyed our meal .. Good value with a curry still being under a tenner for most and side dishes also good value .. tastes where good on every dish . Friendly service!! Off licence next door to the right and even do beer on tap . We stayed at the village hotel and it took 10 mins to walk here. Definitely will go again !! . Only small so make sure you book. Offer 20% discounts for takeaways ..

Good quality food,service was excellent, just the right enough time elapsed between starter and main course. We arrived early evening so the atmosphere was quiet laid back. Will go again

Ordered take out from this restuarant for the first time, since moving into the area. The curries were very nice, the Naga nice and spicy. Naan bread were excellent. Only downside were the starters, £3 for two samosa, and £4.50 for the mixed starter were not good value. I will definitely order from here again, just minus the starters.

After searching for a good curry for months in the local area tried Ginger Blue on the recommendation of a friend. So glad we did. Had Deliveroo, driver really friendly. Foid absolutely spot on, so delicious. Definitely our go to curry house from now on

Collected several take aways from Ginger Blues and everytime the food has been delicious. Courteous staff who helped me with my menu choice (low spice threshold!) and made me feel comfortable whilst I waited. I will definitely return.

Fantastic taste of a chicken tikka balti had my tongue tingling but without the heat of chilli it was refreshing to have a balti tasty rather than blocked out with chilli heat . Owner was very obliging and helpful and knew how to help me in my choice of food as I cannot have too spicy due to gastric issues after. I recommend this place defo

Ordered a takeaway, including madras chicken, prawn on purée, chips and Keema Nan. Overall, fair- Nan cooked within an inch of its life, but tasty, madras - mild, Prawn on puree - nice. Delivery/ excellent. Would we order again, sadly, no.😪

We had a takeaway recently from Ginger Blue and I have to say the food was lovely. We had chicken chaat puree, chicken shashlick and onion bhajees. Really tasty and will definitely be going back soon.

Excellent food and friendly hospitality, I was suggested to try something "off menu" based on my taste & it was wonderful.

I ordered 2 special biryani which were stone cold when they arrived. They was also tasteless. This is takeaway. I also ordered a tandoori fish main which was also stone cold and undercooked also tasteless. The only decent thing was the poppadoms. I won't be ordering from there again

DO NOT USE THIS TAKEAWAY Service on phone is absolutely appalling, nobody understands a word, gets orders wrong, everything you explain falls on deaf ears with the staff saying 'EH?' all the time. Disputing Uber Eats orders, take the money though & then pretend they haven't had it !!! Won't be using again

We three ordered a takeaway from Ginger Blue last evening. They were disgustingly sweet and fit more gor the dessert menu! I tasted mine and it went straight in the bin. What a waste of almost £30! Their menubis now in our recycling bin.

We ordered two dhansaks and a bhuna and were very disappointed. All dishes were overpoweringly sweet and sugary, and lacked spice and depth of flavour. The naans were light, fluffy and tasty and the allergen information was clear and helpful when I called, but the taste was horrific.

We ordered 3 differant meals all of which had the same hot taste without variations the same heat one was chicken tikka one was a buna and the other one was a naga the first 2 should not have been hot who in the right mind thinks these should be hot . No one could eat them . Nann Was like rubber and popperdoms was soft whats that all about . All in all a very bad meal never going again all went into bin . Need a new chef .....

Another excellent meal (takeaway this time due to covid) They are EXTREMELY busy so I elected to collect as the wait for delivery was over an hour whereas my collection was ready in 35 mins. People need to appreciate this and be understanding as there were a few people phoning& complaining that they were hungry and had been waiting 50 mins. My advice at peak time on a Saturday would be collect yourself or order earlier!! Worth the wait though 👍🏼👍🏼

First time I’ve tried this as my brother recommended, had a lamb Saag which was bland and still tasted like tomatoes, meat was also too fatty. Mixed meat starter was ok. Could be a one off but won’t go back, plenty of decent indian restaurants in Shirley.

after 3 months of lock down it was great to get out,the food was great really fresh,friendly staff welcomed us in,all following the rules keeping the staff and customers safe will be back there soon.

I've never sat in for a meal here, but have had takeaway from Ginger Blue a few times now and have always been happy with my meals (and I try a different curry every time). Very good service and very friendly staff to chat to whenever I've ordered and waited for my meal to be cooked. Very fair prices for very tasty food in very decent portion sizes. I'm sure I will visit again.

Have ordered before, no probs, not sure if chef is different but ordered tonight and it was awful, phoned to tell them ( if they are unaware it cant be changed) and as soon as i said i didnt want a refund just to let them know meal was awful they ended call, wont order again

Wrong food delivered. No vegetable rogan josh, instead a chicken rogan josh and a chicken tikka rogan josh (chicken tikka correct). My wife is vegetarian and not able to eat the chicken.

I have no idea what eating in the restaurant is like but do t waste your time on a takeaway unless you want to play takeaway roulette. The last two time I order it has been messed up. First time they sent the wrong order when I stopped the delivery guy from getting into his car to let him know he took the meal then returned with the correct meal but no rice. This week despite ordering two meals only one has arrived. When I called I was told they will send another meal so the first is going cold) Dreadful service don’t bother food is not bad but it’s anyone’s guess if you will get the right meal

We visited Ginger Blue not for the first time last month and once again great food great value it's not busy Monday to Thursday so service is also very quick. Lots of takeaways/deliveries leaving the restaurant through out our meal

The guys at Ginger Blue are all lovely and always provide us a great service. The food is always piping hot and tasty. They also offer a set menu at a wonderfully cheap price and takeaway service.

OMG WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP FOOD.. .FULL STOP ENOUGH SAID....the food was awful don't even know how you can call this indian food....so never order from here again.

Not good. Chicken tikka Masala was basically tomato puree. Had no taste, no spice it was completely bland. Like a stock gravy. Very poor flavour. Not sure who you're trying to con but some of us are into our curries and aren't just drunks ordering a curry. This was the worst curry I've had in a long time. Completely flavourless...just tomato puree and chicken cubes.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars waited for my food for an hour for the driver to turn up not have enough change and take the food away very rude and doesn’t care I called the restaurant who then tried to blame me for this. Worst customer service ever didn’t even get to try the food !!

I recently ordered a takeaway from this restaurant having had good food and service in the distant past. The delivery was prompt and the food was hot but the food itself was a disappointment. The flavour of the sauces was second rate, lacking that fresh spicy flavour and a lentil sauce dish tasted overly sweet. The dishes had a very limited content of prawns/chicken.

Asked to pay by cash then set upon by rude staff

Do not go there until they have been inspected by the Environmental Heath Officer. Sauce dishes had been used previously and presented with other patrons drips and fingerprints on the bowls. The plastic tray that the popadoms and Nan bread were served on were swarmed in bacteria, never been washed! The roasted stuffed pepper was raw and presented with seeds and a month old dried up mix of... well I’m not sure what the meat was! The staff were very miserable and inattentive. Should you need to use the WC please do not touch the doors as you could be struck down with any disease or infection that is visibly harbouring on entering and exiting the WC.Visit at your own risk.

Food was ok. Parking is difficult as service road is always crowded along with the road nearby. Proper napkins and tablecloths gives it an edge to my mind - attention to detail.

We visit here regularly for our take aways and sometimes we eat in. Every time we have eaten here we have always been impressed with the quality of the food we have received. The chicken tikka masala has plenty of meat and the sauce is full of flavour. This place is great value for money because the portion sizes are very generous. Would definitely recommend paying a visit here.

I don’t know about the other two, but a balti dish filled with excellent food and 3 chapatis, and I’m well and truly stuffed!

Superb little hidden gem. Tends to get overlooked as it sits in a small row of shops. Food quality is consistent. Always a very cheap 5 course meal deal available and reasonably priced drinks. Attentive waiters.

Both started with the mixed kebab starter, which was very tasty, then my mate had the Prawn Jalfrezi with half a portion of the Pilau Rice and a Keema Naan, whilst I had the Chicken Tikka Pathia with the other half rice and a Keema Naan.

Husband ordered Madras sauce didn't get it, I ordered chicken pathia got all sweet no sour, sorry but couldn't eat it.

We decided to return to GB after a disappointing visit a few years ago, sad to say nothing has changed. Main meals were very bland and lacked any real substance which resembled a watery soup. However the peshwari naan was nice. Won’t be returning again - sorry

Tucked away in Solihull with street parking. They do a very good value 3 course dinner here 7 days a week for £9.99. Poppadums/Dips, a starter, a Main dish with a side of rice or naan (not both) and an ice cream or coffee (not both). You can't get a takeaway for that much so may as well eat in ! Give it a try.

We’ve been popping in here for several years now! Decided to go last minute for my eldest daughters Birthday. We were seated quickly, there was just one other family in as well as us, we ordered 3 mains, rice, nan etc. & drinks. We can’t put our finger on it, but the food just wasn’t as tasty as normal? Our curries were a bit bland, they didn’t taste as WOW! or tantalising as they used to?? Sounds harsh, but that wee restaurant has lost its sparkle. The waiters were a tad non interested? Which isn’t like them? one didn’t make any conversation & was quite aloof. The drinks waiter was also putting on his coat & doing the home delivery orders. Maybe just a one off? We will probably pop in again to give it the benefit of the doubt.

Definitely not the best I’ve had but it was good enough and I’d order again. Wont bother with onion Bhajis though, those could definitely use some improvement

Maybe they were having a bad day..... But the curry was quite bland and too sweet for my taste and the garlic naan was damp and quite tasteless. That said delivery was bang on time and they even called to clarify parts of the order. Good quality meat.

For first time customers, we were really disappointed that our order was wrong. We were missing a portion of chips and given the wrong naan. The driver did apologise and refunded the chips, as we weren’t going to wait 20 minutes for another. Delivery was earlier than expected which was good and the quality of food was good. Just a shame from such a small order that there were components that were wrong.
