Very overpriced, the food is more expensive than London,Surrey & West Sussex Curry Houses. The Onion Bhajis are the worst - imagine having Bhajis the size of a Malteser& no flavour & it will cost £4.50 for the displeasure of eating it. I had the Chicken Tikka Bengal Naga- asked for extra Hot - it was ok,the Waiter was surprised I had eaten it and said they could do it more spicy next time- basically cook what I asked for in the 1st place and did not get.

My partner and I visited this first class restaurant for only the second time with three of my Grandchildren this time. We live in Merseyside, but in Devon this is definitely one of the places to visit. Staff very kind and friendly, food first class and my eight year old enjoyed Chicken Nuggets and chips. Well there is something for everyone.

After a nearly six-hour journey from Yorkshire to Hatherleigh, we decided to stop whilst passing through Okehampton to pick up a curry and settle for the night on arrival. We placed our order online through the restaurant’s website, which was user-friendly. Upon arriving at Rajpoot, we found the restaurant relatively quiet, but were informed that we would have to wait around 20 minutes for our food. When we received our order, there was no itemised order on the bag, which meant we couldn't quickly verify everything. Eager get to and settle into our accommodation for the night, we hurried back. However on arrival and unpacking the foot, it became clear that while we had the right amount of rice, one of our curry orders was missing. As everyone eat their meals— One offering a try at their mild curry which i found overly sweet—I called the restaurant to inform them about the missing dish. The staff member explained they were quite busy and suggested that I either call back or wait for them to return my call to obtain my bank details for a refund. Since I had paid by card, this confused me, so I also sent an email for clarification. As for the dishes that were served, those that did eat described the meals as mediocre, falling short of the standards we’ve come to expect from our renowned local establishments like Akbars.
