Absolutely amazing meal last night. Great value for money as part of their Wednesday/Sunday offer. Service was excellent from the friendly and helpful team. We will be back!

Pleasant ambience and relaxing vibe , clearly a popular place. Very good food - in that the flavourings are subtle and each dish we ordered was distinctive. Interesting menu with the familiar classics and the chefs specials. Large car park , best place if you’re in the Wells area .

My husband and I booked a table for a Wednesday evening to have a taster of this new find and a good deal of their Wednesday banquet night for £14.95 each. First impressions on arriving was a bit worrying as the grounds are in much need of some tlc as is the decking area in front of the restuarant with outside seating. However, on entering we had a nice greeting and shown to a small table near the kitchen entrance. We asked as there was only 3 other tables occupied for a window table which they accommodated. We ordered drinks and the waiter took our food orders. The deal is a starter, main course, rice/nan and side dish. We were offered the choice of having a nan break instead of the side dish. We chose side dishes. All courses were very good. We have eaten at many Indian restaurants as we love curry and travelled through India trying all the different foods. It was really nice to find some curries that we had not tried. We will definitely be returning as only a 20 min drive from where we live and plenty of parking on site.

Enjoyable evening in beautifully appointed restaurant. Excellent food served hot by courteous, unobtrusive staff. Will certainly visit again.

Lovely greeting on arrival by staff of a beautifully decorated restaurant. Polite , helpful and knowledgeable waiter . Extensive menu . Food arrived , hot and beautifully presented. We were all delighted with our meals . Red roses for the ladies ! Complimentary Baileys served with the bill along with chocolates. Really lovely evening! Highly recommended

A lovely restaurant, the staff were warm, welcoming and very attentive without being overbearing. The menu offered just the right amount of choice and had dishes not seen elsewhere. I ordered a takeaway for myself on Saturday October 1st. The Goa Special (Chicken) was absolutely fabulous. The Peshwari Nan was very good too. I regularly buy food from The Riverside and I have never been disappointed. The quality of food is consistently very, very good. The service is always brilliant too. Keep up the great work.

We went there on the off chance of a table on Thursday night. Met by the charming Al, who showed us to a table with a flourish! Service was excellent from all but special mention to Al who was diligent and a joy! Our food was superb, crispy onion bhajis, and 2 delicious and good portions of chef's specials. The peshwari naan was one of the nicest I've tasted, buttery, crispy and oozing with almonds... The complimentary liquers at the end was a nice touch to what was already a fine meal in a comfortable and friendly restaurant.

The food was ok, not cheap but the most difficult thing was making ourselves understood . The waiter taking our order had a very limited grasp on the English. It got really embarrassing when he went back to the kitchen 4 times to get what was meant to be a glass of water. We had 3 teenagers with us and it was just mortifying. Felt really deflated and disappointed when the bill came. We had received double the amount of papadums we’d very clearly requested. There was no complaining or disputing. We left embarrassed

There were a couple of large tables in the restaurant, Glastonbury festival had just finished so it looked like some local crews were having some down time, so there was a nice bubbly atmosphere. We ordered drinks and asked for water for the table. Were offered poppadums, one of our group declined poppadums, as she does not like them but she was still bought some and some chutneys, which were added to the bill. We asked for water again when the starters arrived. The starters were nice, though the rocket garnish was a bit yellow, tired and wilted. When the mains came out, one of the dishes was incorrect as lamb had been ordered but chicken was provided.

I eat here at least once a month, either in the restaurant or as a take away, and I’m never disappointed. This particular visit was with a friend over on business from India. He loves the food here and was very complimentary of the staff and the food. The restaurant was so busy which is testament to the quality of the food and the service. Would highly recommend. 5 stars.
