Abysmal food, will not recommend this to anybody. We were misled with the reviews on google. The food lacked anything to make ot edible. The man behind the counter was not helpful either. As the place did not provide any cutleries or dine in, he instructed us about a park nearby “great views, tables to sit and eat” and to our dissapointment it was a dog park, with no space to sit down or eat without being sniffed at. Extremly unhappy.

I recently went to this restaurant by myself and gave to say, pretty good food, 7/10 I would say. Portions a little on the smaller side. Ranked rather highly in Swindon. Since I haven't tried any of the other places yet, my ability to compare is limited (at least here). I've had better though...

Went in for a curry with my friends after the racing. Staff were friendly. Bit pricey. 28 quid for 4 500ml cans of cobra. Was a bit annoyed that after spending 228 quid between us, we hadn't finished our drinks and they were trying to get us out of the door as they needed the table. Bit rude I thought. Food was fairly good. Doubt we'll go back though because of the service.

The reason why i have 4 stars is because they always charge you 5£ extra in the bill mentioning it as service charge, i would have this this 5£ as tip for them instead of having to pay it as a part of bill😊, other than this everything was very good, especially the friendly staff and the indian atmosphere.....only thing I'll recommend is they should give enough quantity of food.....they should improve the quantity as the meals, the biriyani bowl was a bit small

Been regular customer here. Not after today !! Young guy with turban was a gem. Old guy with turban is rude. Dnt know how to speak with customer Went today to buy some snacks. There was a new guy in till and this old guy.. I asked is tht guy not in today..old guy rudely said no. Used to go becuase of tht young turban guy who was a gem... he knows how to treat customer with his excellent customer service. Used to come all the way from Gloucester just becuase his amazing service. Not any more. To tht old guy learn how to talk to customer first.. Would not recommend at all. Unless you want to ruin your day and mood. Would rather go London!!!

Visited Weymouth for a couple of days and, after researching various restaurants, decided to give Shalims a try. This was based largely on their very varied menu as I have always found reviews to be a very personal issue. We were meeting up with family, booked a table for four, early evening on a Thursday and we were welcomed with warmth from the staff and seated in a booth. The restaurant ambience was perfect and I am glad we booked as it pretty much filled up not long after we had arrived, which was great to see on a midweek night. The booth has the effect of suppressing the the noise from other tables but not to the point that there is no atmosphere, a really well planned out environment. On to the service, we were quite a difficult group as 2 of us live in Kent whilst 2 live in West Bay and we hadn't met up for a couple of years so we had a lot of catching up to do so we were talking a lot whilst deciding on the menu. The staff were fantastic at bringing drinks and poppadoms with a really different and flavourful relish tray. They let us choose our starters first as we were undecided on mains and then returned for our mains order when we were ready. Starters were excellent, one minor problem with a delay to one of the dishes coming out but we understand that food is cooked fresh and prefer it that way. Mains we ordered two chicken madras, chicken shaslik and chicken tikka jalfrezi, with sides and all were very well presented and tasted delicious, perfectly spiced, generous portions all four of us were very impressed. In all we had a perfect evening, catching up with family in a lovely atmosphere eating delicious food served by attentive friendly staff. Were never rushed and I thought exceptional value for money. Will definitely be returning on future visits to Weymouth.
