Amazing food, staff were very friendly and professional, nothing was too much hassle. Would recommend things on the menu to something you would normally have else where. Excellent service all round.

Visiting the area for a short holiday and this restaurant was recommended for a great Indian meal and how right they were. This had to be one of the best curries we have had in a long time. Lovely atmosphere, very good service and outstanding food. Highly recommend.

The Spice Gallery is a jewel of an Indian restaurant in the village of North Petherton. The welcome is warm and friendly. The staff are knowledgeable and eager to find the right dish to suit one’s taste. The food itself is delicious, beautifully spiced and cooked to perfection. There is no hurry and nothing is too much trouble. We have used the their takeaway service which is also excellent, but dining in is an experience we shall definitely repeat. We thoroughly recommend the Spice Gallery, don’t miss it!

In the sleepy,somewhat faded village of North Petherton you will find the jewel that is The Spice Gallery. Everything about this restaurant is a fine example of contemporary style, not only the decor but also tableware. Whilst listening to Indian lounge music we enjoyed delicious food,served promptly and piping hot. Our choices were adequately spiced without too much heat and portions are very generous. Unfortunately we live 150 miles away otherwise The Spice Gallery would be a regular haunt. If you haven’t been to it give it a try, you will not be disappointed and the Spice gallery will continue to shine.

The food is so delicious. The veg curry has actual fresh vegetables in it rather than you usual frozen rubbish you get.

Got married today and headed down to an Air b&b for a couple of nights. Me and my wife came here and the food was amazing and the staff amazing too 😀 if your in the area and love a curry this is the place to come.

The food and atmosphere were wonderful. I arrived early but was welcomed and had a nice chat with someone who turned out to be the owner. The food was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. They are also a very decent portion sizes. I will definitely be back here and would highly recommend this to anyone. Great music playing throughout the evening as well, not too loud.

I’ll with positive, the food was delicious. Can not fault the taste. Beautiful. The price at 1st glance was reasonable. £4 for chuckney? On top of the price of poperdom! So £6 for 2 poperdoms. Thats unheard of to me. Tiny portion size. About 4/5 small pieces of chicken in curry. Such a shame because the food it self was delicious and would like to give it 5stars but the quantity and price let it down. Felt ripped off and wouldn’t return.

Super restaurant with attentive service. My husband and I had a poppadum each with an excellent pickle tray, followed by starters of chicken tikka and sheek kebab. For the main course we had chicken dehliwala and lamb chattinad with pilau rice and a peshwari naan. Food was imaginatively presented and absolutely delicious. We were staying overnight at a nearby hotel on the way home to Cornwall, but we will definitely visit the Spice Gallery again when we are next in the area.

This was our third time at the Spice Gallery, as we are a 45 minute drive away we don’t come too often, but as this was a special occasion we chose somewhere that has never let us down. Booking online is simple - the only thing slightly bad about it is the confirmation email doesn’t give you the time. We parked on the road nearby and were warmly greeted and shown to our table in the lovely clean restaurant. One of the waiters advised us it was 30% off main meals throughout August as we had booked a table, which was a nice surprise! A decent selection of drinks, I opted for a cider and my wife went for one of the cocktails. The cocktails deserve a paragraph on their own! She only had one cocktail, but it was very large! I don’t know how they do it; an Indian restaurant shouldn’t be this good at making cocktails! And for £9, they’re not too badly priced considering the size (I’d say 3/4 of a pint maybe). Back to the food.. poppadoms with three dips were nice, as were the main courses. I ordered something I’ve never had - I’m usually a korma/tikka masala wimp, went for the Bhuna today - and it was nice, but I have nothing to compare it to. Garlic naan was lovely, chips were nice and rice good too. Portions size decent, I’d say order one of each, only the rice was big enough to share between two. Toilets nice and clean, attentive staff and a lovely restaurant. Oddly played early 2000s R&B throughout, which I liked! Nothing wrong with a bit of Usher with your Bhuna! It saddened me to see that throughout our meal, there were three other tables of diners, a place like this should be packed every night, a real gem and an outstanding dining experience. Hopefully it remains open for our next visit, whenever that may be. I noticed they use Just Eat, but I’d encourage any and all to come in to enjoy their meal.

It was my first time visiting and the food and service were great.

Not been In a while as what was my favourite restaurant. But standards had slipped. Decided to give it a try again. Sadly not back to its old form. The main restaurant menu vs takeaway menu is vastly different. Small Portions and expensive. Compared to others on the area. Waitress was brilliant :)

So confused with all the good reviews, curry is the most watery one I’ve ever had, even ready meals aren’t like this. everything’s cold, the chips seem like they’ve been cooked days ago but just been blasted in the microwave for a moment. Mint yogurt sauce smells like sour milk, 100% gone off. Absolutely the worst one I have ever ever ever ordered, wish I could add photos to this!! £50 wasted.

Absolutely gross, curry was water, chips were dry & gross, and the mint yogurt sauce is most definitely gone off and smells like sour milk when you open it 🤮

Usually love the spice gallery but all the meat in both the curries was dark meat rather than high quality white meat. Hopefully this is a temporary stock issue rather than cost saving one.

We had the chicken korma, chicken bhuna and chicken tikka masala with onion bhajis and garlic naan. The food was all good and tasty. The curries were fairly mild, but that might have been for the benefit of the children and we prefer them not to be too hot anyway. The staff were friendly and helpful with the children - they brought an extra plate for our 1.5 year old and made sure the children had cold plates. We'd happily eat here again if we were in the area.

I visited here today with family and I was very impressed the staff were amazing so kind, and the food was delicious I can't remember what the name of the dish I had but it was yummy. My nephews do not recommend eating the whole chilli tho 😂.

Had an overnight stay at a nearby hotel, found this restaurant on Google, so glad we did! The food was top notch, very clean restaurant and very attentive staff. We both had Lamb dishes which were just perfect! The meat was so tender, my husband had a garlic Nan which looked so good I had to try it, personally I don’t normally like Nan bread but this was so delicious…I had good envy! If only this was local to us I would eat there regularly Would definitely recommend this place to anyone

First time trying spice gallery as a takeaway we normally eat in. Just as good! This is by far the best Indian takeaway in the area. Its worth every penny!

Lovely authentic tasting food - the waiter Miz suggested a Chicken Chattinad. It had depth of flavour and nice heat.

Such a shame as previously we have really enjoyed this restaurant but we were really let down by our last takeaway. I had a chicken tikka and the chicken was rubbery, fatty and I just couldn’t eat the meal. Just annoying when you treat yourself to a takeaway. I’m not sure if maybe they have changed chef maybe. Won’t be going there again.

Ordered via Deliveroo. Firstly, delivered to the wrong address. Bombay aloo - potatoes barely cooked and not edible. Husband ordered chicken vindaloo, this had as much potato as chicken, pilau rice not tasty. I had chicken bhuna. Poor quality chicken - quite chewy.

Great curry every time, from the fresh ingredients to the presentation, always on time or sooner. it may cist a little more than the Bridgwater based taje outs but I won't be going anywhere else now I've found this gem!

We've not been for a while but it was a real treat, the food and service were both very good and the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful all in all we had a lovely evening and will return soon.

This is my local - and favourite Indian restaurant. It never misses. The food is delicious and they offer vegetarian and gluten-free. Dining-in the staff are friendly and the decor is nice, and take-away is just as good!

Frequent take out / delivery from SG, today I decided we would eat in (sorry Sam the delivery man), beautifully clean restaurant, music in the background suited us, service was top notch, Laura advised us well and we numbed down on every bit of the “tender pieces of chicken. Chilli paneer is the best in the area for sure. North Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken was to die for and chicken jalfrezi was cooked to perfection. Mack & Collie wine was absolutely lovely and they now do Thatchers Gold which suited my other half. Thanks guys, here’s a Scottish phrase from us to you …. LANG MAY YER LUM REEK ….. google it, BW, Moira & Gary.

The mango sauce was missing from the order, it was supposed to be a medium heat but was definitely a mild I thought the meal was fairly plain in flavour.

Random choice, as been stuck in traffic on M25, then M4, then M5, and wanted to eat somewhere not on a motorway services! Only a few minutes from M5 and pleasantly surprised. Good food, good service and pleasant decor.

Very disappointing curry. The tikka biryani was so bland I would not have served it as a homemade curry let alone paid for it. Watery biryani vegetable curry with no flavour and weird vegetables like green beans. Felt like stewed leftovers. Not impressed at all

Best madras I have ever eaten.

The lamb shashlik and saag paneer I had were both fantastic and very well balanced to be enjoyable individually. There is a more of a modern vibe than other Indian restaurants.

Don't look at the menu online and choose before you go because you'll be disappointed as some of the dishes are not on the restaurant menu. Having said that. The food was lovely, succulent meat dishes, flavourful veg dishes. Service was great. Atmosphere is a 5 thanks to catching up with family after 6 years. So much laughter. Toilets were very clean and decorated lovely. The slimming world poster on the door made us all laugh. Highly recommend.

We used to love the Spice Gallery and have eaten there many times. But this order was stupidly hot. We've had the same before and its been delicious but today's went in the bin after a few mouthfuls.

What can I say? This is simply the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. I've been visiting this one since I was 14 years young and I've always enjoyed it. Also, the garlic naan bread here is served with it's only homemade garlic butter and it is absolutely unbeatable!!! 100% recommended this place! The staff are kind, friendly and cannot do enough for you either!

Didn’t bother us that they were late, however this is the most expensive Indian restaurant we have ever ordered from so held high hopes! The portions were tiny and the lamb was just okay and quite dry! They charge £13 for the lamb tikka here and £9 for a bigger portion at another restaurant. Never again!

First time using Just Eat and the Spice gallery. Never Ever Again. Reasons are, Called Spice gallery to give some feedback on our food due to the fact that the tikka masala we had was both very spicey and the chicken was so overcooked and dry, it would have choked a camel. The employee i spoke to was rude and arrogant and said our meal was not over spicey and the chicken was always moist. Strange statement as he could not sample what we were eating. The whole time he was very argumentative. I asked to speak to the manger several times and eventually after 32 mins and 2 calls later he rang me back. Without boring you he replied with the same reply as his employee. Also very rude on the phone with his aggressive loud intimidating tone. This should tell you where the employee gets his training from in Customer Service, or lack of it. Considering we only politely called to give feedback on our first experience with the above and just eat we didnt expect to be intimidated by the staff and manager. We purchased an expensive treat and didnt get what was advertised or payed for, so we await a full refund. So to sum up. DISGRACEFUL

An unexpected gem. We happened to be in North Petherton and went to this curry house. We were very impressed. The food quality was excellent, interesting dishes, great flavours. The staff were friendly. We especially recommend the south Indian dishes which you don't normally get. The saag paneer and taka daal were good too.

Genuinely the nicest meal. The food and drinks were premium quality, beautifully presented and melt in the mouth delicious. The service was second to none with such friendly staff. 10/10
