Lovely authentic tasting food - the waiter Miz suggested a Chicken Chattinad. It had depth of flavour and nice heat.

Such a shame as previously we have really enjoyed this restaurant but we were really let down by our last takeaway. I had a chicken tikka and the chicken was rubbery, fatty and I just couldn’t eat the meal. Just annoying when you treat yourself to a takeaway. I’m not sure if maybe they have changed chef maybe. Won’t be going there again.

This is my local - and favourite Indian restaurant. It never misses. The food is delicious and they offer vegetarian and gluten-free. Dining-in the staff are friendly and the decor is nice, and take-away is just as good!

Random choice, as been stuck in traffic on M25, then M4, then M5, and wanted to eat somewhere not on a motorway services! Only a few minutes from M5 and pleasantly surprised. Good food, good service and pleasant decor.

The lamb shashlik and saag paneer I had were both fantastic and very well balanced to be enjoyable individually. There is a more of a modern vibe than other Indian restaurants.

Don't look at the menu online and choose before you go because you'll be disappointed as some of the dishes are not on the restaurant menu. Having said that. The food was lovely, succulent meat dishes, flavourful veg dishes. Service was great. Atmosphere is a 5 thanks to catching up with family after 6 years. So much laughter. Toilets were very clean and decorated lovely. The slimming world poster on the door made us all laugh. Highly recommend.

What can I say? This is simply the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. I've been visiting this one since I was 14 years young and I've always enjoyed it. Also, the garlic naan bread here is served with it's only homemade garlic butter and it is absolutely unbeatable!!! 100% recommended this place! The staff are kind, friendly and cannot do enough for you either!

A very nice lady took my order over the phone. Lovely food. I was apologised to but had to wait quite some time for the meal to come went to collect. Just under an hour from call to receiving my meal. Love the Mocha and Slay the Dragon.

An unexpected gem. We happened to be in North Petherton and went to this curry house. We were very impressed. The food quality was excellent, interesting dishes, great flavours. The staff were friendly. We especially recommend the south Indian dishes which you don't normally get. The saag paneer and taka daal were good too.

Genuinely the nicest meal. The food and drinks were premium quality, beautifully presented and melt in the mouth delicious. The service was second to none with such friendly staff. 10/10

Pleasant surroundings with good food & service

Unfortunately the delivery was late and didn't take into consideration the delivery directions. One of the containers was open and leaked into the bag, so 1 if the dishes was dry. Overall the food was very bland and not the standards I 'm used to ordering from this place. Perhaps there was a change of hand, but I will not be ordering from here anymore.

Make the effort to go it is hard to find one this good so support it. Met the outlaws here as a midway point between Taunton and Bristol. What a superb find! Good selection of dishes including some specials. If you're wondering the lamb is as tender as you'd hope. Service is attentive without being over bearing and the host pleasant and professional. We'll be going back again.

It's the best curry house around, food was fantastic, and the servers couldn't be more helpful. I ordered ahead, and collected then for when ready, all hot and ready to go. Absolute best, 5 start all around.

Very nice food and lovely welcoming staff Followed TripAdvisor reccomendation. Would also recommend. Service was rather slow, seemed overwhelmed by demands of meals for delivery, which seems to be common in many places currently. None the less would return if in the area.

Absolutely the best Indian restaurant we have ever been to. Excellent customer service, very friendly and welcoming, the food is reasonably priced and when it arrived was well presented. But even better than that it was absolutely bursting with flavour yet balanced. It's a must visit!

We visited Spice Gallery with Friends whilst on a recent trip to Bridgwater. Food was nice and tasty. Staff were very courteous and obliging. They made me a curry as a special order without any fuss whatsoever. Sundries such as poppadoms, breads and rice were also tasty and fresh as were the starters. We will definitely be calling in again next time we are in town.

Amazing me this evening and a perfect end to our half term holiday! Excellent friendly service from the moment we booked our table over the phone until we left the restaurant. We have eaten in Indian restaurants all over the world and this is up there with the best! All the food was fantastic! Generous portions and still 5 clean plates! The Lamb Shank Masala was superb, the Biriyani and everything else. We took our 3 boys 7,10 and 12 and they cleared theirs plates too asking when we could come again! Very attentive staff and service all round with the excellent food made this a great experience!! We will ge back!

This Indian is based in North petherton, they deliver their fresh food where ever you like.The onion baji were the best iv ever had and the meat in curry was soft and succulent, the spices used in the food could be tasted unlike other takeaways that over power it with chilly powder.Beautiful foodFollow us on bridgwater business matters for local businesses.

This jewel in the village of North Petherton is the finest Indian restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of eating in. I have lived in Taunton for 9 years now and have always had superb takeaways (during Covid) and when the restaurant reopens I will be knocking on the door to be one of the first back. The menu is comprehensive and no matter what I have chosen I have always enjoyed my selection! I've even raved about their chappatis! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant because I am certain that nobody would come away disappointed!

When visiting friends in a nearby village we decided to have one last meal out before the recent lockdown came into force. We stumbled across this restaurant on social media and we are so glad that we followed the reviews and took the decision to visit. They were very accommodating for three adults and a toddler booking into the restaurant. On arrival we were blown away by the decor and the layout of the restaurant it has a very modern trendy touch to it but with bundles of atmosphere. The staff were amazing and very attentive, while adhering to social distancing and wearing ppe as required. The staff were very accommodating for a fussy toddler and recommended great food and samples for him to try which he was thrilled with. The adults all finished their food which was exceptional and beautifully presented too, and then came the cocktails. They were traditional but also included some new mixes which worked very well together. The restaurant itself is very well laid out especially for the current situation with tables spaced out, and tables vigorously sanitised in between guests and there are hand sanitise stations on entry and around the restaurant for when moving to the toilet area etc. Although offering a take out service this is a separate area to diners and on collection where guidelines are adhered too. It was really busy for take out, which I guess the amazing food in restaurant followed through to delivery. We will definitely visit again when we can. Well worth it if you are in the area.

If you want to catch Covid, pop in here where there are no masks worn by staff, all congregating at the bar area. If they do wear them they are only over their mouth, not nose. Someone needs to show them how a mask works. There are people collecting takeaways as a collection only service, who can take a seat inside, also not wearing masks. Honestly, you shouldn’t be allowed to remain open with zero effort to even try to comply with the rules to keep people safe. I haven’t been here is a customer throughout Covid, but I live nearby and pass every evening so this is a regular occurrence, not just a one off. Wear masks and wear them properly, or close your restaurant!

I am a fussy eater and tend to eat the same foods when I eat at restaurants restricting where I can dine. My husband asked me to try the spice gallery as he visits often with friends. I reluctantly agreed and decided I would try new foods whilst dining. I ordered a medium masala lamb shank - was really nice. My husband had a starter of prawns in a sauce - it was really lovely and a good I want to order next. The service was great and timely. We are now planning a visit with our two children (11 and 13) and they are very excited - my daughter is a fan of the food as will have a takeaway with her dad whilst I used to choose an alternative. Once restrictions lift, I will be sure to visit with friends. Grateful to not always have steak/ chicken and chips when dining out

We went to the Spice Gallery this week and had such a great meal. The staff were really friendly and attentive. I don't eat dairy and they were really understanding and were happy to adjust their recipe to accommodate me. They also cooked us dishes that we requested that were from an old menu. Absolutely on the ball with Covid requirements and we felt safe and well cared for. Please consider going there if you can to support them.

Myself and my parents have been using this Indian restaurant for over 10 and are always pleased. My partner has been joining us in loving the Spice Gallety cuisine for over 5 years and has not been disappointed.Last night myself and my partner attended for the first time since the redecorating had been done and I think they did a great job, much more cozy and intimate now which I love.Yesterday was my birthday and I was surprised by a member of staff bringing me a cocktail, I was very pleasantly surprised with the cocktail as usually I am quite fussy and don't like at least one of the ingredients but as I was drinking Malibu they knew I liked rum and decided to make me a spiced rum cocktail and it had lovely fresh strawberries in too, it was amazing, so so tasty and a lovely birthday treat! Further to this, at the end of our meal, the wonderful staff brought out a gorgeous decadent chocolate cake with candles and sang happy Birthday to me! It was just sublime and I couldn't of asked for more, it was a fantastic evening and those added touches really made my Birthday that extra special. So I want to say Thank You to everyone at the Spice Gallery for an amazing night and of course, we will see you soon.

Staying overnight in taunton and tried this restaurants amazing food through just eat. The food was very good and the delivery was in time. The driver was very friendly and patient. Quality Indian food for a very reasonable price. Give it a go.

Checked on google to find a decent Indian food and ended up getting the best one i guess. I had the kerela seabass and my partner had kukkard makhani. Both the dishes are amazing. Worth trying this gem.

Please help to support our local Indian restaurant during their difficult times! We have just ordered a takeaway for delivery through just eat from The Spice Gallery North Petherton. It was delivered and still hot within a good time, and was absolutely amazing!! You may not be aware but this business supported our community and our volunteers through difficult times during the levels floods in Somerset.

The food was really yummy! We travelled all the way from bath to try this restaurant, as ppl wer praising it. Highly recommend the pani puris & the lamb shank. Would definitely go again & u guys must go & try it! The staff wer friendly & polite & the staff followed all the Covid rules etc

After checking the reviews i visited this amazing well done restaurant on Friday with my friends. The staff are absolutely lovely and accommodating. The food we had was amazing and one of our friend said that's the best Indian she ever had. Kudos to the Chef and the staff who made our night wonderful. All Covid rules in place with table distancing as well as sanitising stations in place. Will definitely comeback.

We visited the restaurant as a anniversary treat. We found the staff polite and kind. The food was simply amazing! Nothing to fault at all. The drinks lovely also. We have used the takeaway before low so knew the food was good. We will be returning. Amazingly good value for a wonderful evening.

We live in Taunton often go out in Taunton only. But we thought of changing the venue this time and I think that’s the best decision I’ve taken. One of the best curry’s we ever had. The staff are very friendly and polite, the food was amazing and full of flavours. We will definitely come back.

Stayed over in premiere Inn over night and felt like having an indian meal. Checked on trip advisor and the reviews are great. So booked a table in for 2 people and went. The restaurant is taking complete covid precautions and social distancing. Well presented food full of flavours and the staff are brilliant, very helpful. A must visit restaurant if you're around.

I have previously only had takeaways from the Spice Gallery and have never had cause to be disappointed. I had family visiting at the weekend and decided to book a table at the restaurant. We had a fabulous meal with wonderful service and great attention to detail. Well worth the drive from Taunton as, in my opinion, the Spice Gallery is the best Indian in the area.

After a long time visited the spice gallery after checking the reviews. One thing for sure, the food improved a lot so as the service. We were treated special, the food came out quick. We had lamb shank and deliwala with mushroom rice and peshwari naan. Highly recommended.

We visited the spice gallery on saturday, the food was amazing and the service was excellent. All covid regulations in place. We had paneer shaslick to share and lamb biryani and goan chicken with garlic bread. The staff are very friendly and attentive at the same time. Its Worth a visit.

Been to spice gallery for our wedding anniversary on Thursday night. The food was outstanding and the new decor was lush. Very good and attentive service since the moment we walked in. My husband had a good time, so as myself. We tried for the first time and very impressed with this restaurant in all means. We will pass on a good word to my friends and family.Definitely worth a visit and highly recommended.

Spent my birthday evening here recently and from start to finish absolutely outstanding food & service! It is quite honestly the best Indian around locally and if you haven’t been you are seriously missing it. Me and my hubby tried different dishes and could not fault a single thing, so full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The staff that work here cater for you from the minute you walk through the door, nothing is too much trouble and they are just genuine kind lovely people. You really could not wish to spend a child free night any where else with a cocktail or two!! A massive thank you for my cake and candles too, not forgetting the singing of happy birthday

We are also super lucky to live right down the road from here as well! The food is Amazing! Super tasty and definitely the best Indian we have ever had! Went here for the first time this week and have to say it’s the best Indian in Bridgwater by a mile , nice place spotlessly clean , great food and great service . They are also doing their own eat out scheme of £5 off per person which basically gives you your starter for free .will be back

Probably the best curry I've ever had!

My husband and I recently had a UK based holiday. We stayed for a couple of days in North Petherton and were lucky to be able to eat at this restaurant.I believe it had recently reopened. The decor is lovely. The staff were very helpful, attentive and polite. To drink I started off with an espresso martini which was absolutely wonderful. The food that we ate was amazing and probably the best I’ve ever eaten in an Indian restaurant. Beautifully presented and so tasty and flavoursome the spices just burst in your mouth.It was so good we actually went back the next night too!I am very envious that the locals have such a wonderful restaurant on their doorstep. I did ask if they would be willing to relocate to London!

So I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened 10+ years ago, it relaunched it's self in the last couple week's and let me tell you this was the best meal I have ever eaten here... The food is the most authentic Indian food I've has in the South West in a long long time (I've been to India 11 times, I can tell the difference)!!! The Nan bread's are soft and fluffy how they should be - I can only assume the are now using a real Tandoori Oven or something pretty damn similar. The food and spices are cooked to perfection- complements to the chef, the portions are generous but not too so and you don't get that heavy (I'm a pig feeling) after. The decoration is not too much and much more open planned and comfortable somewhere you can easily relax for a few hours and enjoy the great experience. This place comes highly recommended by yours truly if you want to spend you money wisely.

Been to the spice gallery last night with my lovely partner. They’ve done a refurb which looks amazing. The new menu and the way the food came out was lush!! Good service with a welcome drink and lovely cocktails. Amazing overall!!!!!

The spice gallery is a lovely place to eat! The food is amazing and all the staff are so lovely I definatly recommend this restaurant for any sort of meal, be it family and couples. We came for date night and it exceeded our expectations! Amazing place.

After checking a lot of reviews for restaurants nearby, we thought of trying Spice Gallery. Unfortunately, they aren’t open for diners yet as they doing a refurb!! We tried a take away while we are waiting in the pub opposite. One thing for sure the food was really good. We’ve ordered lamb chops and onion bhabi for starters. The mains we had are chicken tikka masala and lamb dopiaza. All the food was spot on and not too spicy. Worth trying. We highly recommend this good restaurant.

A good of selection dishes are available on the menu with plenty of options to choose for. I’m vegetarian, so I ordered saag paneer and mix veg dish. Both are yummy. Staying at a hotel in Bridgwater whilst working away, I decided on a takeaway rather than eat at the neighbouring restaurant. After checking trip advisor, I took a 10 minute drive to The Spice Gallery, as the reviews seemed favourable. The restaurant was undergoing a revamp, but the takeaway trade seemed fairly busy. I thought the food was very tasty, but the Bombay aloo side dish was absolutely swimming in oil. It was a shame as it was tasty. The tikka dansak that I requested, was good but nothing great as the reviews suggest. To me it seemed a pretty standard, decent takeaway. Nothing special. Next time in the area, might try eating in though.

Mr.Murthi was very helpful all the way from placing the order, making recommendations and finally actually arranging the delivery which was slightly further from the area they deliver but they were very accommodating.Great authentic Indian food, one of the best Chicken Curry.

Cracking food, best Indian in town

Ordered for the first time and we are so happy. The flavours are great, went for a couple of the chef's specials. Chicken is tender and the flavour combinations are really well done. Delivery was really quick with a friendly driver too. A bit expensive compared to some others locally but worth it. Will definitely order again from our new favourite restaurant.

We order here almost every weekend, the food quality has definitely improved!! We order at least £ 50 worth food, they always offer us free beer on collection with some special side dishes to try. The manager definitely made a difference, can’t wait for the restaraunt to open we will definitely visit with our family.
