The best restaurants serving Indian food in South East

Finally a lamb bhuna that met my expectations. Well done Bengal Spice :)

Booked a table for 8pm, we were seated at 8.10pm to a freshly cleaned table. That's the only good thing I can say about the experience. I must admit I was expecting Nepalese dishes, everything on the menu can be found at your local Indian restaurant. One dish, the Chicken Chilli and I quote from the menu, a touch of ketchup in gravy or dry. We had to ask for the menus, then we had to ask for our order to be taken. I then had to ask at 9.20pm,(an hour and twenty minutes after entering) if we were in fact going to be severed, 10minutes later our food arrived. During this time my friend had finished his drink, at no point did the waiter ask if he would like another one. The plates were cold, the food was so salty it was inedible, there was no spice to either curry and the naans were bland. The restaurant did not have any heating, when it was -2 degrees outside, guests were sat in coats or scarfs and hats. Back to the freshly cleaned table, due to the cold temperature it remained wet for twenty minutes. We were later informed the landlord was refurbishing the heating system that's why it was cold in the restaurant. I would never recommend this establishment to anyone.

We visited for a take away yesterday and we were very impressed with menu and the way you could choose the level of spice to your taste for the vast majority of dishes. The food was delicious and flavoursome. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

Decided to have an Indian for a change of takeaway, have used a few Indian takeaways in the waterside area and I can honestly say that this one is the best in the area, will definitely be using Jaipur Express in the future, the food was amazing and service was friendly

An amazing meal had here. A very high quality of food was served, with generous portions. Attentive staff serving a busy restaurant with a nice vibe. This meal was the highlight of our trip

This restaurant in the heart of Crawley town centre is great! The portions are brilliant and the food is so authentic- it's full of flavour! I highly recommend eating at this restaurant!

We usually go to a different Indian restaurant - and decided to try this one as we live close. The food is honestly exceptional! We ordered 4 mains, 3 sides and naan bread. My dad is so fussy (hence going to the same place for almost 20 years!) but he loved it as well! I would've taken a picture but we tucked in very quickly! Excellent service. Food was 10/10. Staff are lovely. Overall 5/5 :) we will definatly be eating here again!

This is a great Indian lots of choice and sensibly priced. No frills decor you could argue it even needs decorating but definitely don't let that put you off it's clean and tidy. We have been more times than I can remember. Always a friendly atmosphere a few jokes and occasional pranks thrown in from polite staff. Well cooked authentic Indian cuisine. No nonsense tasty currys !

First time getting a takeaway from this restaurant, it will be the last. Food was very bland and the rice very over cooked, more like rice pudding. It is a shame as the people seem very nice, I hope for their sake this was a one off, but I will not go there again

Really disappointing. The service was unbelievably slow. Had to ask for things multiple times. Waiters ignored us and walked past with their heads down to not make eye contact. Food finally came after nearly an hour and a half, due to them prioritising takeaway orders, and the chicken was under cooked. We weren’t even given the chance to order another drink after our first ones were finished as no waiter came close enough to ask!

This restaurant should be inspected when I got home my stomach was in turmoil the bed messed all over the floor and in the bathroom I thought about going to hospital it was that bad

When there for a lovly night out with family introduced by a rude arrogant staff member I order food out the lovly pictures in the menu. The food came out totally not what was in the picture and was discusting when I quiestion the waiter I was told it was a wrong picture and laughed at me. I was then told if I didn’t like it I could p off and go somewhere else I think the waiter and the manager was having a bad day. I would not recommend this place at all was then bullied out of the place by multiple kitchen staff

I have been eating Indian / Bangladeshi food for 62 years I am on a golf holiday with friends.As I enjoy spicy dishes I looked on Tripadvisor for recommendations of this restaurant. There were excellent reviews so decided to give it a try. When you arrive the restaurant looks a bit tired from the outside. Don't let this put you off. The greeting we received when we entered was excellent. There was a very varied and extensive menu. I know most Curries start of with the same gravy and other spices added. We started with poppadoms and chutney freshly cooked poppadoms not oily. The four dishes we ordered came .Nice size portions and all really tasty . I ordered Bombay chicken,back in the day it normally was a chicken portion on the bone with a boiled egg and potato. New style is diced chicken. Tasty all the same. I also ordered pashwari nann this was the best nann I have ever tasted. It's a pity I live so far from this restaurant otherwise I would be a regular customer. Would certainly recommend this place for polite pleasant service an excellent food

En realidad no fuimos allí, pedimos. La comida llegó en un buen momento como se indica. El conductor era muy amable y educado. La comida era buena. Hemos pedido de algunas comidas para llevar en los últimos años y esto fue diferente y lo que yo diría es el sabor más auténtico que habíamos estado buscando. El curry vegetal era sabroso y mi compañera disfrutó de su curry de pollo medio. El arroz también estaba muy bien, cocinado muy bien. El plato de cortesía era un plato de arroz dulce con pudín. El mejor pudín de arroz que he probado, debería estar en el menú, como mucho de eso, tan sabroso. No hay quejas de nuestra parte y estamos pidiendo algunos platos diferentes esta noche para ver cómo son. OK, estoy pidiendo más pudín de arroz esperanzado jajaja Pruébalos, no deberías decepcionarte. 👍😀
