Khan Spice in Tonbridge and Malling

When there for a lovly night out with family introduced by a rude arrogant staff member I order food out the lovly pictures in the menu. The food came out totally not what was in the picture and was discusting when I quiestion the waiter I was told it was a wrong picture and laughed at me. I was then told if I didn’t like it I could p off and go somewhere else I think the waiter and the manager was having a bad day. I would not recommend this place at all was then bullied out of the place by multiple kitchen staff

I had a fabulous dining experience at this restaurant! The service was amazing, and the food was of good quality. The lamb rogan was succulent and tender, and the pilau rice was amazing. The bhindi bhaji and brinjhal bhaji were done to perfection, not greasy at all. However, the prawn vindaloo my boyfriend ordered had overcooked prawns, which was disappointing. But the restaurant offered very reasonable prices, and to top it off, the waiter kindly surprised us with a complimentary shot of Baileys and cream after our meal.

Lovely food, best Indian we've been to in a long time. This has become our new regular. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Very nice food -staff and atmosphere.First time we have been back for about 10 years but will definitely return.. Plenty of variety on food dishes and Indian lagers and the bill was a sensible price unlike some in the area that add 10% service charge !!!!

Visited the khan spice again recently, the food was first class , the service was also very good with friendly waiters .. Mr khan the owner was their making the best host chatting and sharing a laugh with all his customers.. will definitely be going back again soon!!

It's been two years since I last ordered a takeaway from this place. Just re-read my review. Bizarrely it's exactly the same as I'm about to write. Thought we'd give them another go, but will never again until it changes ownership. Chicken Jalfrezi was a combo of left over chicken tikka marinaded from the night before combined with vegetable curry. Tasteless. Complained and was promised a replacement delivery in 10 minutes (hmm !). Turned up and was exactly the same but with two added chillis and chilli powder. Still tasteless. Never ever again! Just a piss take.

I don’t think there’s many places as classy and professional as this restaurant around these areas. Amazing cuisine and welcoming was fantastic. The food was luscious and the soft drinks that I ordered where top notch to wash it all down. Especially I recommend you to try the Khan Mix Special. Thanks for the brilliant time spent dinning at your restaurant.

Regularly order here for home Delivery. Always very good not necessarily the cheapest.. but the food is very good!!

Found this gem of an Indian restaurant in the Kent countryside between Maidstone and Tonbridge. The food was absolutely amazing. For starters I had tandoori chops. Not only delicious but beautifully presented too. For the mains I would recommend the king prawn naga e Bahar. This was a lovely prawn dish with a kick. In fact everything we tried was great. Am looking forward to visit again with my family very soon.

Starting off as when we first sat down they kept moaning that there was 8 of us. One of the staff members were pretty rude from the start. We ordered drinks and the coke was flat no fizz to it at all. Secondly, I understand there was a few of us but the food took a very long time 2 come out and the plates were hotter than the actual food. Thirdly, as we was eating our meal, one male staff member kept leaning over all of us to collect empty dishes. Never have I experienced that in a restaurant. He was very rude in general. One of my friends also found a weird stick thing in there food, couldn’t find out if it was a spice or something but it was rock hard and finally, let’s talk about the price of the popadoms…. We ordered 7 popadoms and them alone cost us £14.20, that’s £2.02 a popadom….. and our bill came too £200 and they wasn’t even polite or thankful. They just took the money and left

Read the reviews and we were looking for a new curry restaurant that we will use regularly. Came with family and we weren’t disappointed! The food was delicious and my brother in law (who has eaten many curries in Asia) said it was the best one he’s had in this country for taste and the use of the different spices. The only reason it’s not 5 stars for this review is that we waited over an hour for the main. It was about an hour and 15 mins. We were ravenous. The staff were very friendly and we even had a free baileys shot at the end. We will definitely be back and order takeaways from here as the food was worth the wait in the end.

Highly recommend! The restaurant is lovely, the food was amazing and the service was excellent! All of the staff were so friendly and made it a very good laugh too! After just moving to the area, we will most definitely be returning again very soon!

The Sunday Buffet was not a buffet, set meal was served. The restaurant was cold, chicken undercooked. Charged for poppadoms, very mean trick. The grubbiest carpets I have ever seen. Eavesdropping waiters seemed in a hurry to close at 2.30 precisely. The rest of the food and presentation was good. Poor value overall regrettably. Cannot imagine being crazy enough to return.

My partner and I on Saturday 6th August - poppadums - light, crisp and delicious - chutneys and mint sauce and other dips…. a lamb dish each (one passanda, one rogan) - rich flavour full sauces, gorgeously cooked rice. Light and fluffy naan each. (One wine, one large bottle sparkling water). An absolute gem of a meal. I highly recommend the Khan Spice…. very good value for money and friendly service. (£53, and worth every penny)

Had another fabulous takeaway delivery from Khan Spice last night. They accidentally delivered an incorrect main, but a quick call and they were straight round with the correct dish, no quibbles, no excuses. Proper customer service from the best Indian Restaurant in the area, if you haven’t tried it then you are missing a treat!

While visiting a friend who just moved to a nearby village we thought we’d order a takeaway for delivery. Well I’m so glad we did and that we called Khan spice!! The staff were helpful and the food!!! I haven’t had an Indian meal that good in years and we often have Indian food. Fresh, tasty and really well cooked. I was so impressed I phoned them during the meal to tell them how happy we were. I would highly recommend Khan spice and we will be visiting our friend a lot more often knowing that this restaurant is nearby. Fantastic.

We have been eating here for a few years now as local and it is the best Indian for miles. We wouldn’t go anywhere else. Takeaway or eat in, both great. Dishes are lovely, fresh and not greasy. Service is great... not in your face, but attentive enough.

9 of us went here - it was very busy and service was slow ( about an hour to get our mains ) but the food was to die for - really really good - a whole host of different dishes were ordered within the group and every single person loved their food from dhansaks to dhals to masala to jalfrezi, all said were yummy if they could sort service out when busy would have been perfect !

We had a takeaway delivered and spent just over £30 for two people the curry was really good as was the service and the response time we would definitely use these again. We had the chilli chicken and a chicken patia which came with rice, lemon rice Keema naan sag dish (the one with lentils) all delicious!

Khan Spice is one of the best curries I’ve had in a very long time! Visited with my friend as a last minute thing and wow what can I say! Service was good, restaurant was good but most importantly the food was stunning. I didn’t go for my usual Dhansak or Bhuna, my friend recommended a dish (chicken tikka sally) and it was delicious! She had Bengal chicken (can’t remember full name) but omg wow, so many different flavours, it was probably the best curry I’ve had! Can’t fault any of the food one bit. If you haven’t visited Khan Spice, you must. You will not be disappointed! Delicious!!! Fantastic!!!

I ordered a takeaway. Prawn puree and this is a starter served with salad and on unleavened bread, however all we got were some prawns. I rang and spoke to a very rude man called Taz, who intially offered to deliver us the missing bread, but this was after we had eaten the meal. I declined this and then 'Taz' became very rude and offered me no compensation. Food was not great and i will never be using this for place again

Lovely evening with the girls. Go here whenever I am staying with my cousin and it is alway good food. They are very helpful with accommodating your requests and the food is very good. The menu has a decent selection of dishes and we especially enjoyed the spinach Dahl and cauliflower sides. The mains were all good and we cleared our plates. My companions had dessert - all had the pistachio kulfi which is a favourite of theirs. Service was prompt too.

this was our first visit based on the reviews here , we were not disappointed ! lovely lovely food and good service . between us we had lamb dhansak ( apparently fell off the fork ) my friend said you can judge the curry house by how it does its lamb ! it passed with flying colours ! chicken tikka , aubergine and cauliflower bhajis , chick peas and mushrooms and tarka dhal with spinach - all lovely ! the price was very good too although they charged for water sitting at our table when we arrived , a bit cute . the best one i have found in the area so far ! ! thank you !

I spend all week travelling the country for work purposes, and every Tuesday is curry night wherever we are staying, thankfully I live in Tonbridge and close to the best Indian restaurant in the country ( in my opinion) khan spice is second to none!! The food is just wonderful, the staff and owners are just so genuinely friendly and kind, people in this area rave about a restaurant called turmeric gold, tried it once or twice but if you want a truly lovely meal KHAN SPICE wins hands down all day long!! Well, arrived a tad early, no problem, a drink at the bar/lounge or seat at your table ! Staff very polite & efficient. Food arrived when required for all courses & of good quality. Be careful if you are sensitive, food is just a smidge hotter than normal, but the flavour is mighty good. All in all, good stuff, going back real soon.

Drove past this place a couple of times during the day before deciding to go back and give it a try one evening -very glad we did -a midweek meal so quite quiet but very friendly staff and good food -will definitely come again -perhaps without our daughter next time as she always insists on a chicken korma and we prefer to try something different !

Our little curry club ventured to this wonderful restaurant last night and not only were we spoilt by the tasty and mouth watering food but the gentleman that were serving us were excellent.

Food is lovely staff are very welcoming. I’ve been here loads with big groups and just two of us every time a great service! Nothing is to much effort made to feel very welcome. They do a lovely Sunday buffet. I have small children who they also make very welcome every time we go! Highly recommend

After reading all the good reviews of this restaurant we decided to try it out last night, and we were not disappointed. As good as any Brick Lane curry house! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was really good especially the Chicken Tikka Sally. Can't wait to go back and try some other dishes. I hope they are here to stay!

We went out as a group of 7 a week ago and decided to give this restaurant a try. We ate early, starting at 6.30 and it was really very quiet and therefore lacked atmosphere (hence the 4 rather than 5 rating) but it began to get busier about 8.30. They did seem to be doing quite a few take aways. We’d definitely go back as the food was excellent - we all had different dishes and all enjoyed them. They are good sized portions. The service, from the initial phone call to make the booking to the end of the meal was also excellent. This relatively new restaurant definitely deserves to do well.

Another fantastic meal at khan spice , been coming here since the opening night & it is without doubt the nicest curry house around, food is always fresh & piping hot , the guys are very friendly here too , it’s a 6/7 mile drive to get here passed 4 other curry houses but well worth the drive , try the king prawn (jingha) rajbahar it’s amazing

What an amazing evening had such a great night staff are very friendly and great with kids . Lovely food went big since was a birthday and got the special lamb shoulder . What a find for my new local ruby. Just have to find time to go back now is the only issue.

Tandoori mixed grill to die for, chicken tikka masala and sagalo great, staff really good and friendly. Newly decorated, but a little stark, could do with some pictures on the wall.

We have now visited this restaurant twice and I have to say I can not fault it in anyway, the food is fantastic and the service is first class. Everyone receives the most warm welcome and everyone is so attentive throughout you meal, no one is rushing you it's fantastic. This restaurant is run with a real genuine friendliness.
