The best restaurants serving Indian food in Waverley South East

Appears to have closed for a period. New signage, name and fascia are now in place but not sure what it is going to reopen as or whether the same people still involved.

Celebrated my Birthday meal at Dilli’s in Haslemere and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was outstanding! All five of us chose something different from the menu and we all found the dishes delicious. The service was excellent, with a special mention and another big thank you to Rihan who went above and beyond to ensure our dishes were cooked to our taste and that we were well looked after throughout the evening. Would highly recommend and will book again.

Great food with plenty of choice on menu. Friendly service. Reasonable pricing. Nice atmosphere and focus was definitely given to in house diners. Recently, we’ve been to other restaurants where constant deliveries have been more of a focus for staff.

Three of us arrived at 6.30pm on a Wednesday and were pleasantly surprised at the number of diners at that time! We were welcomed by the owner and given a choice of tables. He couldn’t have been more helpful with menu choices. The food arrived in good time, was plentiful and delicious - no other description! We were made to feel totally at home, with nothing being too much bother! Terrific value and 5* service - we’ll be back, no hesitation! ❤️

As a reasonably regular diner here I can absolutely recommend it. The high quality of the food and service is excellent. This evening I have had the Lamb Shank, which is currently off menu, but is perhaps one of the nicest I have had here (just ask Ahmed for it). Really, really nice. Also, I commend the garlic nan which is very light and fluffy. Not stodgy. Anyhow, enjoy.

Exquisite food served from a lovely and in places divergent menu. We ate here for the first time this week and I am sure it will not be the last visit we make. Easy and free to park on the road outside (after 6.30pm). The staff were fantastic and my wife commented how immaculate their dress and demeanour was. Not cheap but well worth it !

There is simply nothing to praise about this place, the staff or the food. Avoid. Having served bottles of beer it took over an hour to get any attention and another hour before food was delivered to the table. The rushed and slightly grumpy owner of the place was assisted by a scruffy looking person in a basball hat; a person with a “not my place mate, I’m only helping out” uninterested attitude.

I used to drive past this restaurant for many years with a promise to pay it a visit, which I didn’t (my loss). This year we tried a take away as a mini date night, we was pleasantly surprised, WHY HAVE WE NOT DONE THIS EARLIER? We have now had a few take away’s and decided to give it a go as a restaurant. The staff are extremely polite and helpful. The meal was really enjoyable at a reasonable price. The place is very clean and tastefully decorated. We have been a few times now and this is now becoming our reliable location. I am extremely surprised this place is not over booked, maybe people are doing what we did - just drive past. Please stop and give it ago, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Well as usual we opted to have another Darjeeling Restaurant Takeaway meal delivered to our home. We keep going back because the quality of the food, service |& price are all just superb. When we had put in our food order, Chicken Korma, Chicken Jalfrezi, Pilau Rice, Bombay Aloo and Onion Bhajis we were told it would be an hour delivery time. True to their word the food arrived about an hour later and we could not fault the flavours, quality or portions and service. We do tend to just put the food back in the oven just to make it really piping hot before we eat it as it is about 10 mins from the Darjeeling to our house. We will always make this our go to Indian Restaurant in Farnham as we do enjoy the whole experience.

TAKEAWAY Hard, dry onion bhaji. Poppadoms tasted as if they were cooked in old oil. Overly sweet massala. Dhal overcooked. Bombay potatoes bland. Chicken cooked well tho’!
