My husband and i decided to go to this Restaurant as we hadn’t been here for several years , WOW upon entering we were greeted by a total refurbished restaurant. But luckily Del who has worked there for many years is still there and he actually showed us to our table and provided us with great customer service and attentiveness through out our visit !! Now the FOOD another WOW we had 3 courses , everything was piping hot including our plates !! the flavours and presentation was spot on , total praise for the Chef and Kitchen Staff as it was also a busy Friday Evening, This Restaurant is Definitely Worth a Visit , we shall be returning for sure ..

Four of us decided at very short notice on Saturday Night 4 May to eat out. As none of us had eaten at The Gulshan for many years we thought we would phone up and book a table just encase it was busy. When we arrived at 7pm we were stunned to see the place totally empty bar one couple who left within 10 mins of us arriving. As the place was now empty the only atmosphere was from ourselves which was fine. We did see many people come and go who were collecting takeaways which shows they must be poplar for food. Anyway we ordered up drinks and then food. We all had two poppadom's each with all the usual dips. After this we had chosen a selection of superb tasting meals. Two of us had opted to have the King Prawns in a Garlic Curry sauce which was amazing. Just be wary not to throw a whole green chilli in your mouth as I did accidentally🥵♨️. All the side dishes, Bombay Aloo, rice etc were superb and none of us could fault the service or food quality. our total bill was £109:00 and so we paid £120:00 to cover a tip. We felt it was great value and the service was good. We were all surprised to see this place totally empty though on a Saturday evening which you would have thought would have been its busiest time? Anyway its certainly worth giving it chance.

Our first visit to this restaurant & we were very impressed. The food was excellent, with a vast menu choice, and very plentiful. The service was excellent too, quick and efficient. We went on Sunday when there is an “as much as you can eat” offer. We will definitely be returning.

Food was delivered cold and badly cooked. The chicken curry was a gone of mystery meat that made my partner chuck up and the restaurant wouldn't ans the phone or call me back. On reviews they then tried saying I ordered from another restaurant and claim that the kashmire chicken was ordered as a lamb korma well no there's a picture attached of the almost meatless lamb korma there aswell it's had a couple chunks of lamb and that was eat. Would have been better off getting a jar of sauce from tesco and making it myself. If they have a real Indian chef as they claim he should be ashamed. Also if they gave a decent portion it would fill the container and stay at least warm. When 2thirds of the container is air its obvious it won't stay hot. Anyway just look at the pics and it's clear you don't want to eat there food.

We ordered up a home delivery of Chicken Tikka Biryani and a Tandoori mixed grill with Bombay potatoes and Mushroom Bhaji. I will say that I did enjoy my Tandoori mixed grill with Bombay potato. However, my wife really disliked her Chicken Tikka Biryani and she gave up eating it. The curry sauce was not as good as we have had before and it was almost watery and without flavour or taste. It was a disappointment as we do not live far from the Gulshan and delivery and service was very prompt. As the quality we found appeared to have dropped off we will look elsewhere for an Indian curry which we can both eat without problems.

Just popped in to this place. It didn’t have many reviews but I was close to home and hungry. Starter was nice. However, when the chicken madras and rice arrived it didn’t look very good. A few pieces of chicken in a thin sauce. Anyway I took a spoonful and ended up spitting it out. It was so bitter and totally inedible. I tried the sauce again on its own, terrible. I called the waiter and told him what I thought and I asked for the bill. I asked for him to remove the main course from the bill. He muttered something about the chef. I paid and left. Absolutely disastrous save yourself the pain and look elsewhere. I’m a seasoned curry eater and TripAdvisor reviewer. Lesson learned not enough good reviews keep driving.

We have had loads of takeaways from the Gulshan, one Sunday buffet and one evening dine in meal. Menu is interesting with a good variety. Prices are average but the quality of the food is consistently very good. We have never had a disappointing meal. We had the Sunday buffet before the lockdown hit and it was really excellent both in quality and value. They have had a refit during lockdown and it is now much smarter inside. Recommended but if you want the buffet get there early.

Everything was just in edible. It’s made me and my partner ill all through the night and this morning. Just a group of three that fancied a curry. My friend recommended the Gulshan which I had not been to before. We had poppadoms whilst we settled in and chatted. The menu was varied with dishes that I did not recognize so I was tempted to try something unusual from the chefs recommendations. I chose a chicken sylonet (not sure I have spelt that correctly), which was a medium dish in a rich Tamarind sauce. This was a dish served on a sizzling hot plate and came with lemon rice (recommended). I also chose to have a cream sag. Other dishes on the table were a prawn dish with rice and a Korma. The dishes had plenty in them and we soon found we had had our fill (doggy bag needed). The dishes were reasonably priced in the mid range I would say and good value for money. Tables were clean and well presented, waiter service very good and informative. All in all a very pleasant evening and would like to visit again at some point.

Our normal “go to” for Indian takeaways in Farnham is Spice Station but decided to have a change and a flyer in the letterbox prompted us to try The Gulshan. Our order arrived quicker than expected - especially being a Bank Holiday Friday but to be honest the meals were disappointing (there were four of us and so had a reasonable selection) - the general comment was “over salted and watery with not much meat” (I had to drain my Jalfrezi), although the rice dishes were actually not bad. Ok, so overall it was cheaper than our regular haunt but I guess the old adage “you gets what you pays for” applies here and in future we’ll revert to our tried and tested regular.

Service slow. The best part was the popadoms. We sat near the till and had the constant beeping of the till area. Chicken Tika starter lacked flavour, I had chicken Biryani the veg curry consisted of 95 % onion a couple of frozen green beans and peas in a watery sauce. Horrid. My OH had madras and although he had a reasonable amount of meat again it lacked flavour. Sorry will not be returning, this was a change to the normal visit of Bengal Lancer which although not 100% fantastic at least has flavours to enjoy.

The first time I ordered food from the Gulshan it arrived barely warm. In fact, the oils/fats from one of the containers had risen to the surface and had started to set. The meal also took a very long time to arrive. I spoke to the Manager the next day who offered me 50% off my next order. A week later I placed another order which arrived in the same condition, barely warm. I have sampled Indian cuisine in Birmingham, Derby and Leicester. The Gulshan is a well known and popular name in the Farnham / Fleet area. There are two restaurants of the same name, although I do not know if the two are linked, but the food is equally as good at both. This one in Upper Hale has been in tune with serving fabulous North Indian / Bangladeshi food for as long as I can remember, and it never disappoints. The service is prompt, efficient, polite and the food is excellent. On a Wednesday, this place does a half price night - it's fantastic value for money, and it's always packed on these nights. If you've never been, the Gulshan is definitely worth a visit. It's not a huge restaurant, about 40 covers max, and it's usually busy - so it's advisable to book ahead. These guys work hard to ensure ever guest is well looked after, they really do a good job. This restaurant has been there well over 30 years ran by the same owners family run. We ordered a variety of chicken and lamb dishes and number of vegetable side dishes. Food was absolutely divine and the staff could not be more helpful. Bought back a lot of childhood memories of family dinner parties and other occasions. Just came back from a Thursday meal. A fantastic meal and a complete feast of food for the 11.95 special. Have been to this place many times over the past year and I'm a complete fan. The staff are always very friendly and attentive and I greatly enjoy the food. Over times of trying to various dishes I have my personal favourites but overall the food is consistently good and amazing value.Cannot recommend this place enough. A great place to go out to with friends for an amazingly priced meal. If you can finish all the food they bring out for the Thursday meal you deserve a medal! (Entrée, main, rice, naan, vegetable dish)

This used to be a good restaurant/take away, but after the last three take outs, i wont be back, which is a shame as the staff are nice. forgotten items, small portions and now the taste has gone. Even the vindaloo is bland and lacking any kick.

This is a great place for a midweek night out, go on a Wednesday or Thursday and get the works for £11.95. Having forgotten to book we were very lucky to get the last table in the Restaurant as these special nights do fill up. We started with Gulshan Grill which is a mixture of kebab and Tandori stule meats, if you have not been before it gives you a bit of everything. We then ordered Garlic Chilli King Prawns (£2 supplement) and a Lamb dish with fenugreek leaves which was suggested by our friendly waiter. We had a Keema rice and a mushroom rice with Okra and Bombay Potatoes plus a Chilli and Keema nan. The food was well flavoured with the lamb dish the star of the show. As always there was nore than enough to eat with the rest in a doggy bag for the next day. The food is always slightly different as it is freshly prepared but always really tasty and at under £40 with two rounds of drinks a bargain.

Good food with fast home delivery. A good Indian restaurant for a quick and cheap night out - nothing special but tasty food!

Really delicious food and Thursday night is still a bargain £12 for starter, main, veg side, rice and naan. Service good, though they do try hard to sell you poppadoms which are unnecessary with the rest of the food you are getting!

Very impressed A group of us booked (17). Friendly and happy staff, great menu choices, our starters and mains were tasty, and had good hot. There was a steady flow of custom during our visit and staff were busy. A good experience and reasonable prices (Thursday Night Deal) Will defenatly be going back.

Have visited the Gulshan many times especially on their banquet nights on Wednesdays and Thursdays where you can purchase a huge meal with rice, naan and side dish for just under £11. Very good sized portions. The staff are mainly very nice but the service can be a little bit and miss occasionally. Waiters always seem to forget to serve water when requested . overall though excellent value for money on these banquet nights.

Visited once and ordered a few takeaways from here now.The staff are very helpful and will do all they can to make your meal enjoyable. Also the takeaways have always been delivered on time and hot!Really enjoy the food but recently we have been ordering a number of new dishes which seem to be lacking a bit of flavour and won't be ordering again. However, sticking to the classics - will remain loyal to our local.

Had a takeaway which was just absolutely dreadful - no taste and very watery, very disappointed as it wasn't cheap - will not use again - it's unacceptable to serve such dire food!

In my time of living in the area I must have had over 100 meals from here. It's not the best in the area or the cheapest but on the whole the food is consistent. I never had a bad meal and they are happy to vary the dishes if there is something you want changed which many won't do

There is simply nothing to praise about this place, the staff or the food. Avoid. Having served bottles of beer it took over an hour to get any attention and another hour before food was delivered to the table. The rushed and slightly grumpy owner of the place was assisted by a scruffy looking person in a basball hat; a person with a “not my place mate, I’m only helping out” uninterested attitude.

My daughter and I went to The Rajasthan Restaurant at 103 Long Gore, today 14 November 2024 and was very impressed. Excellent food, staff, service, good value for money.

Great place to get some indian food. Place is clean and modern. Food tasted amazing. Just the garlic naan was soaked in the juices of about half a kilo of garlic. Our wee smelled of garlic for two days straight and don't ask about number 2.
