I bought my friend here for dinner. The service from the moment we arrived was fantastic. Great selection of curries and sides. Our waiter was knowledgeable and helped us choose our fish curry dishes. The fish jalfrezi and fish bhuna were really tasty!

Shafiq made the evening a very enjoyable experience! Fantastic food made by Shabbs the executive chef. We had a pathia vindaloo and chicken narga which were absolutely superb!.

This is amazing if you want Indian food the tan dory chicken is amazingly delicious and the people that work here are so nice

I ordered a meal for 3 people at 17:37 through their website. Waited an hour, called up and was told that my order was out for delivery (I live a 9 minute drive from the wharf). I waited until 18:55 and phoned up again and...

Very quiet restaurant on the day we visited ( Sunday), only one other table of guests. The buffet was great, even for a vegetarian. I must admit it was very spicy hot !

We Live mainly overseas and my first meal when back in the UK is always a curry! This is the first time we have used the Wharf in their new guise in the high street having had very mixed results when they were in the pub near The Lounge. The chefs special curry that was delivered was SUBERB! The Deshi Bhuna was beyond delish!!!, the lamb and the flavours made this just one of the best indian take outs I've EVER had. Well done. Sag and Bhindi bhajees also very good. Highly recommend. Only slight issue was food was not quite warm enough to eat upon deliveth but 10 mins in the oven soon sorted that. Con mot recommend highly enough.

Had a meal delivered last night and I don't know why but they aren't up to the normal standard. The two saagwalla's we had were not spicy and the rice tasted watery with little taste. Sticking to RS in future. Its too much money to not be happy with the quality. It's a shame, used to be so good.

This was one of the best curries we’ve had and we can’t wait to come back now you can dine in! We always get our takeaway from The Wharf and it’s the best around but dining in was even better. Shah encouraged me to inform the Chef of my food intolerances meaning I could try different dishes. The chef even came out and gave me some great recommendations for the next visit. All round food and service I have to give a 10/10. If you are in town I recommend you give The Wharf a try.

Been eating Indian food for many years and for me this wasn’t good.I had a prawn balti which was more like a boona, not hot and sour as should be.Said it was cooked with onions but not one in sight!!Mushroom rice was ok but v greasy.The saddest part was the chicken tikka starter..... no taste at all!!Must have marinated it in pink water!!! No free popadoms too!BRING BACK MUGAL SPICES!!Very disappointed really.

1st time customer at this establishment for a lock down take away. Ordered and paid online. Collected an an hour later at requested time. Meal was ready at the appointed time. Staff were masked and safe. Most important of all is that the food was excellent, cooked to perfection, not over or under spiced and hot. (temp) Highly recommended.

Lovely evening. We all enjoyed the food - 2 adults and kids aged 12 and 10. Wonderful attentive service which made for a really nice family night out.

Delicious food which arrived on time. The salmon was lovely and the naga was hot. We had collections from here over lockdown. We were never disappointed. We now know that takeaway is great too. We were delighted with the free extras and love the menu. We will order again. Highly recommended.

We ordered through just eat and were given a deliver of 20:06pm we were still waiting at 20:55pm food delivered cold> Excuse we were busy ! Thats not an excuse its a fault in your ability to supply and demand.. We will stop using these guys and will wait for the new Indian Restaurant to open in Milford.

I've eaten Indian food since I was six in Glasgow and subsequently around the world in the preceding 53 years and without a shadow of a doubt, The Wharf is the best I've ever eaten. Do yourself a favour and pay them a visit to their newly decorated restaurant and try it for yourself, I'd recommend the King Prawn Achari, incredible. Thanks to Abdul and his team for a great meal on every visit.

I live in Guildford but my daughter mentioned this restaurant had supported NHS workers(like my daughter).The takeaway food was excellent, we chose a variety of dishes and shared as there was 6 of us.All good and friendly welcome.

We visit the Wharf fairly regularly and have had numerous take-aways. They have been fantastic during coronavirus in maintaining their standards and helping the local community.

Been using this place as a takeaway during COVID-19, not having used previously. Anywhere enterprising enough to be operating a service in the crisis gets my vote! They deliver also, so it meant you could have something approximating a Saturday night with friends outside.Probably used it five times or so and each time the food arrived hot, well packaged and labelled etc. And most important of all the food was excellent. Godalming is coming down with curry outlets and this is up there as one of the best. In fact, it’s won me over from another outlet! I will be going in here after 4 July for a sit down meal for sure.One moan - the curry portal you are pushed on to to order isn’t great and the actual process of ordering could be a palaver as a result.

We have just enjoyed a delicious takeaway from The Wharf. The chicken biryani was so tasty. Good portion sizes. We also received complimentary papadums and dips. We will definitely use again. Thank you.

Having heard rave reviews about this Indian we gave it a try for my partners birthday. We both thought it was excellent. I had emailed them to make the booking and to advise that I couldnt have anything with dairy, they kindly rang me to confirm the booking and said that they would advise me when we arrived what I could and couldnt have. There was a wide range for me to chose from and they cooked an excellent Chicken Sag and Tarka Dhal (the best one I have had in along while.) My partner had the Jalfrazi and said it was the best he had had for ages. We will def be back for takeaways. And the service was excellent as well. Highly recommend this Indian

We visited for dinner on Valentine's day.I'll start by saying that all the food was amazing, really delicious and perfectly cooked and hot!They seemed a little bit overstretched as it was pretty much full and there seemed to be a lot of people coming in to collect takeaway orders too.One of us ordered a starter which came up the same time as all the main courses, so that is really my only complaint.

A large group of colleagues and friends started the fourth decade of the Camberley Curry Club with a trip to the Wharf Bar in Godalming. Our first visit to this establishment was a success. We were a group of 23 but the booking was confirmed without issue. We arrived to find a long table down the entire right side of the restaurant had been laid out for us, still allowing other guests to have their won tables in other areas of the bar. The organisation by the waiting staff and manager were great; we can be a bit like herding cats! The food order came and was delivered to the table in good time, piping hot and to the right person...not easy after we had started on the draught Kingfisher. Overall, a great night with a good atmosphere in the venue. Hats off to the staff for looking after us, with great food and at a reasonable price too. We score our visits in the club, so who knows, we could be back for the Xmas meeting.

On the first visit I wrote a review praising this place Highly, and wrote "my search is finally over" I thought I had finally found a really good indian in the guildford area after moving here 2 years ago. On the first visit, had balti chicken which was richly spiced and salted just enough, and very nice, the veg rice was good, but the tandoori chicken was nice but not strongly spiced enough, for me, even a little bland, and the same with the bombay aloo, which I needed to add salt to. But I thought it was still good overall - I got carried away because the balti was so nice. The second visit, it was not so good - chicken patia was really good, definately cooked with tamarind and jaggery, (and not with lemon jiuce, sugar, and lots of chopped tomatoes like many other places which I am not keen on) . BUT - the aloo gobi side dish was totally bland, no spice other than turmeric that I could detect, and no salt at all - not very good. The very expensive "chicken tikka shalik bhuna" - £12.95 was utterly mediocre quite bland, not richly spiced like a bhuna should be spiced, and the tikka component was mediocre.... So, good quality, in general. But 2 out of 3 chicken dishes were really good, the other was very mediocre and veg side dishes on both visits bland and not even salted as far as I could tell. So it is a bit of a mixed bag - Some dishes are very good, others are not, and veg dishes are not good at all if you like spices! My search goes on.!

We ordered delivery and couldn't be happier. We were told a 45min wait but the food was delivered in 30mins. The food was piping hot, so tasty and good sized portions. The lady who took our order over the phone was knowledgeable when I asked a specific question about 1 dish and the delivery driver was so friendly. All in all we had a great experience and will definitely order again.

Sunday lunch is buffet time! £10 a head and you have the choice of two starters, three mains, naan, rice, papadoms and chutneys. The starters and mains are varied weekly. You can pay unlimited visits, so go hungry!Our starters were chicken tikka and/or onion bhajis. The bhajis were fresh, not too big and really crispy with a nice cumin flavour running through it. Big flavoursome chunks of chicken fresh off the skewers.The mains were lamb jalfreizi, chicken tikka masala and chicken bhuna. All of them were great. The jalfreizi was good and hot with fresh chillis in it and very tender lamb. The bhuna was full of flavour and the tikka masala was rich, creamy and had a great coconut flavour to it. All were well cooked, hot, fresh and perfect on the plate.Pilau rice and naans to go with were perfect.No mention here of portion size as this is completely up to you. As the serving dishes empty, they are refilled.The staff are friendly and helpful.The surroundings are fine, comfortable, enough space at the table, clean and welcoming.Quality of food is outstanding, service is great and value for money exceptional.I'd recommend this restaurant anywhere but in Godalming, good restaurants are in short supply. This one stands out.

Wow, finally... (since moving to Guildford about 2 years ago), It seems like I might have finally found what I have been looking for. I got a takeaway from the Wharf Indian in Godalming last night. The place was very busy, (a good sign) but they still managed to get my order ready within the 40 minutes they predicted. I went for a chicken balti, bombay aloo, vegetable rice, tandoori chicken starter and some meat samosas. All the dishes were very good quality and skillfully spiced and flavoured. The Balti was richly rich and well spiced (with a medium chilli heat) just like a balti should be. I have been a curry fanatic for nearly 40 years and have very high standards and this place is the best I have found in the Guildford area by a long way - highly recommended...! My only criticism would be that the bombay aloo and tandoori chicken could have been a touch spicier, but they were still very nice as they were. I cant wait to try out some of the other dishes - I hope they are all as good, and if they are, my search for a really good Indian in the Guildford area is over at last!... Fingers Crossed!

Tonight I ordered a delivery from the Wharf to arrive for 6:30PM and then at 6:50PM when it hadn’t arrived I called them and they said it was on its way. At 7:15PM I called again to ask about it and they said they would go and check and then I got cut off/hung up on? I kept trying to call back but it was always busy. At 7:30PM my food finally arrived so an hour late. As you can imagine it was completely cold.

Had a great meal here on Friday night. It was about 10pm and completely full in the restaurant when we arrived.

Just wanted a quick meal with a friend before an evening event and ended up having one of the best Indian meals I have had. Huge choice and the flavours were spectacular. Meat was really tender and the veg tasted great. Lovely staff and good value for money.

Having eaten several times in both their old premises and new one in Godalming High Street, thought I would bring a large group to the Sunday buffet.

Firstly, for anyone planning on re-visiting this place, they have moved from Wharf Street to the top end of Godalming High Street.

Fabulous food with friendly service (especially, Rebecca at front of house). The restaurant has a wide range of dishes including the best Aloo Motor (potatoes and peas) and chicken tikka vindaloo.

A great selection of food, and the ideal place to meet up with friends or family a small restaurant, but worth booking to make sure of table go for the balti ... so tasty

The food at The Wharf is consistently delicious, every dish is so tasty whatever you order you know you’ll enjoy it! The staff are lovely too and always make you feel very valued and welcome as a customer. We wouldn’t go anywhere else for a curry now!

I have visited this restaurant before and was not particularly impressed. This was 4 or so years ago so seeing it was rated one of the best in Godalming I had to give it another go.

This is by far the best curry house in Godalming the other restaurants are serving muck and i do not bother with them anymore.

We have visited this restaurant before at its old address but this was the first time since they have moved. Was a quiet Sunday evening and all was looking good. Our starters were very nice but unfortunately the waiter rushed us and even tried to clear the table before we had finished our starters. Mains were nice and very tasty. Our evening was OK but a shame the staff rushed us

The Wharf has just moved into new premises at the top of the High Street in Godalming. Went with a group for a buffet lunch.

Excellent Curry and side dishes . The ambiance of the place is not brilliant,but I believe they are moving to new premises shortly. Lamb Ada and Peshwari Nan amazing.

Staff were polite and meal served reasonably promptly. Although the flavours were good all the dishes were served with a high proportion of ghee. When we pointed this out at the end of the meal the manager became very defensive and said thats how the food was served here. In our view the quantity of ghee was the highest we had encountered in a wide range of Indian restaurants and felt it appropriate to indicate that we felt this was excessive. We were offered £10 off the meal but when we went to pay were told it was 10% not £10 !! Although not the primary reason for complaining this only compounded our thoughts about the restaurant. Unfortunately we won't be back but if you like your food with high levels of ghee then don't be put off by this review. If you value your Cholesterol levels then you may wish to be a little cautious about a visit. We love Indian food and there are many restaurants out there that don't cook in this way.

Just had another of the Wharf’s amazing takeaways! All delivered piping hot, right on time, huge portions and tasted absolutely delicious. I have been eating here for years and never had a bad meal. All the employees that work there are so friendly and offer such brilliant customer service, and really provide you with an experience. Absolutely flawless, cannot fault.

Very disappointing! The service was shocking! “Ladies loos” were disgusting! No loo paper in any of the cubicles!!!

We have used this Indian for a couple of months now but last night we had an appalling take away. The Tarka Dall was so liquid that all we could do was pour it down the sink there was just nothing in it but water and colouring , we also received a side order that we hadn't ordered . Main meal not great . I cannot fault them for timing as it was delivered quick . I'm hoping this was just a blip as we have had some really nice take aways from here

Went with friends for a meal in bank holiday Monday with friends at 9pm. To be told abruptly that they were not serving food as they had too many take out orders after ordering drinks, there were only 4 people in the restaurant. But then heard them apologise to someone on the phone waiting 2 hours for a take away. Surely a place that says it serves food until 11 needs to be better prepared

I visited 8 days ago having booked a table for 3 in advance for the Banquet night. My 2 friends had travelled over from Petworth for the occasion. We alternate between there and the Godalming area for a fairly regular mid-week curry. I have already reviewed the Basmati in Petworth and was looking forward to showing my friends my local favourite indian restaurant. As we approached the restaurannt we were treated to the spectacle and sounds of one of the uniformed members of staff effing and blinding at a passing motorist from the pavement outside. I took issue with him and said there was no need for that type of language and his reply was " I'll say what I want out here, the bloke's a mate of mine!" Despite this we decided to eat at the place, going for the menu rather than the banquet offering and it was ,as usual, excellent. So,in summary, excellent food and attentive service whilst dining BUT shocking staff behaviour outside. Make your own mind up.

We had arrived as a team of 70 in Godalming for a competition from Ireland. We had tried unsuccessfully to get somewhere for us all to get together for a buffet on the Sat night. The Manager Abdul kindly accommodated us by putting on a buffet for us comprising of 3 starters 3 mains with rice poppadoms naam bread and chips(that usually runs on a Sunday). Price was £10.95 for adults and £4.95 for kids which was very reasonable. The food itself was amazing and was replenished often. All the staff were amazing Thank yous all so much

The people running this place used to serve the Indian food at the Charterhouse pub in Godalming before they set up The Wharf. We used to adore the food they served at the Charterhouse. It was really special, carefully and delicately flavoured and quite different to the greasy fare often found in high street curry houses. Some of it was as good as the authentic food we'd enjoyed in parts of London like Tooting with large Asian communities who knew "the real deal" from Britcurry. So, when The Wharf opened, we were delighted. We've had takeaways and sit-in meals there for several years. Sadly, the food now seems to have drifted into middle-of-the-road curry house territory. It's perfectly OK but I now can't tell any difference between what they serve and what you'd get from anywhere else in a local high street - including the curry house round the corner from them. Shame.

First time here and very impressed. The food was full of flavour rather than just spice and the service was good. Prices quite reasonable as well.
